"Hotel is near to Gare Du Nord which is helpful when you arrived via Eurostar. It is excellent choice to stay near the station as lugging the luggage in metro during peak hours would be close to impossible. Family room is good for 2 adults and 2 teenage children. We had a room not facing the road side thus no street noise issue. Hotel offers free luggage storage when we arrived early. Safety wise around the Gare Du Nord area and other tourist location in Paris, you need to be extra careful but I didn’t put encounter any issue. Plenty of food options nearby and several mini market around for the area. "

"I spent 4 nights at Holiday Inn Gare de l’Est over New Year. My train came into Gare du Nord which was only a 7 minute easy flat walk to the hotel. Checkin was quick and easy and Elias was very helpful & friendly. My room was decorated lovely with Parisian feel and overlooked the Gare de l’Est Station which was A very pleasant view especially at night with the lights. The Hop on hop off bus stops right outside the hotel around the corner about 30 meters away. The railway strikes were on during my visit so the metro at Gare de l’Est was not operational however in normal times the location would’ve been perfect for getting around via metro. There are numerous bus stands very close to the hotel also. The street area is a little unclean (as is much of Paris) but the hotel itself is immaculate. Breakfast was good with adequate selection. The room had a fridge, balcony, hairdryer and heating rack in the bathroom. The shower was very good also which I always appreciate. Good hotel. "

"The hotel is very close to Gare du Nord railway station. You can take a train (RER) straight from CDG airport about 10 stations to Gare du Nord and it cost 10.30 euro and then walk from there around 5-6 minutes to the hotel. There is the hop on hop off bus stop at the Gare du Nord railway station (red line) for your first time in Paris, you can easily access to Paris city. The hotel is nice, staff very helpful. I’m satisfied during my staying in Paris. I would recommend this hotel. "

"When using Uber, it's a lot cheaper especially for a first time Traveller to Paris who doesn't speaks french at all. The metro is a bit confusing for us as we don't know how to pronounce the French words. The location of our hotel is strategic and close to both railway stations. Gare Du Nord and Gare De l'est. Halal restaurant is very very close to the hotel, just across the road and affordable. The meeting point of our bus transportation to Disneyland is also close by (83 Rue De Maubeuge) just a few minutes drive from the hotel. Our room is clean and very nice, facing the road and buildings with nice view. It is very cozy and comfortable, with table and chair. The staff are just wonderful. When I booked our room, it was discounted price. "

"It was great! They have all available information you need to go around the city's attractions. It helped me a lot to maximize my time in Paris, to visit most of the attractions in just 3 days! And since the location is just near Gare du Nord Station, it is very convenient to reach the place from the airport (CDG) and go to tour sites. The Belushi's bar is also cool. The ambience is sporty and their buffalo wings taste damn good! The room and bed is so so... It's a standard for hostels I guess. The rest room is also just ok. Nothing fancy. Overall, it is cool! 😎"

"Initially I have booked 2 nights in Libertel Gare de l'Est via Agoda 2 days before going to stay there. On the day itself, when I was there, I was informed that due to technical issue, when I booked the stay, all rooms have been fully booked. But because I have fully paid for my stay via Agoda, they have arranged myself to stay at Hotel Libertel Gare du Nord which is 5 minutes walk away. Of course, I was quite frustrated at the first place as all I want to do at that moment was to check in, have a good shower and rest due to the all day walk under the hot sun. But they keep telling me it is only 5 minutes walk away. Considered myself bad luck. It was a good stay at Hotel Libertel Gare du Nord as the staffs are really friendly and they gave me a nice room with great view. However, I prefer to stay to stay in Hotel Libertel Gare de l'Est as I really like that hotel and it is nearer to the station (which I need to take TGV back to Luxembourg). Gare du Nord is more of a modern hotel and Gare de l'Est has nicer design. "

"I have stayed here many times and have always found the rooms to be clean and comfortable and the staff to be welcoming and accommodating to my needs. The proximity to the Gare du Nord and to Metro, RER and bus lines makes it very convenient to travel to and from other parts of the city and also to CDG Airport and Belgium, The Netherlands, and Germany. In summer, the rooms are very efficiently air conditioned, and the internet connection has always performed well. A variety of restaurants are also within walking distance."

"Pros - Balcony rooms overlooking street provide interesting views of main road below. Its location directly across from Gare du Nord made Eurostar and Metro access SO easy. Room was very quiet, even though it faced street. Cons - neighborhood itself has some sketchy characters on street and around station plaza, especially at night. But hotel itself is very secure and, if you can get a balcony room, there are always people, traffic, Paris life to watch below."

"This was the third time we've stayed here in 12 months. First time was in Eurostar package. Highly recommend for budget traveller wanting clean room right opposite Gare du Nord. We prefer to spend our cash on shopping and afternoon tea rather than a plush hotel!! We were 2 ladies on a girly jaunt and weren't a bit put off by the area. Felt safe and everyone friendly. Give this great hotel a try!"
