A new hotel just opened by Year 2017 Q4. It is so lucky to enjoy a special rate with free snacks during the stay. Will book again for the next visit to KL. Pros: (a) Good and clean hotel directly link to a shopping mall (b) Convenient location at KL town area (c) Free shuttle bus to one/ two selected shopping malls with fixed time schedule (d) The nearest MRT/ LRT station is Maluri station (e) Easy connect Wifi (f) Provide handy mobile travel-guide (g) Free car park (h) Swimming pool and Gym room at the top level floor Cons: (a) Receptionist service has to be improved (Check-in waiting is quite long during my stay) (b) Car park limitation (shared car park with shopping mall) (c) Hotel guest lift programming has to be improved for shorten the waiting time

Great stay! Very clean room, helpful staff, good security and great location. Next to a shopping mall with many choices of restaurant. Very honest staff, we left our handphone there but the staff kept it for us, really appreciate this. The hotel is very near to LRT station which is just across the overhead bridge. Can found local food stall near the station. Very convenient if no driving. Overall is great, I will come back if go KL again.

a bit difficult to find, but googlemaps is your Taxi driver's friend. Nice rooms, not too small, nice bathroom, not noisy (except for other guests maybe). a moderate breakfast buffet is included, unlike in most hotels of that price range. 6-7 minutes walk to Times Square, but the walk to Monorail or LRT station (Pudu) is quite a distance. But this is a minor disturbance, I would not hesitate to return to this place in the future

Very friendly staffs with great rooms, great facilities and great breakfast. Room was very spacious and love the toilet/bath space concept. it is very near to berjaya time square and also hang tuah LRT station. for travellers coming from the pudu bus station or any stations within KL city, it is not advisable to take taxi as most probably you will be ripped by the drivers for a very short distance(unless you have a big luggage case). From KLCC to the hotel should cost around RM8 and nothing more than RM10. The hotel is still relatively new and alot of people do not know about it also.

Since this appartment is quite new, it is not easy for our taxi driver to find its location. When we got there, we are surprised to see that some construction were still made on some parts of the appartment. But once we got to our unit, we were so happy to see its facilities. We book a unit with 2 bed rooms and found that all the facilities that we need were there. We can buy food from nearby convenient store and use the microwave to warm them. All necessary kitchen utensils were also provided. The living room was spacious, and it made our watching of the Euro 2012 comfortable. Another good point of this appartment is it's location which is quite close to Chong Sow Lin LRT station. We can reach the station through the connection bridge on 2nd floor of the appartment.

Strategic located near the KL Triangle especially only working distance to Berjaya Times Square. Considerable a quiet place where no broomm noisy vehicles voice. Situated in a shopping complex and convenient to get light food and drinks and even a last minutes shopping. Have a good Chinese tea house at the lower ground floor. Parking is free and LRT station also near and easy to get taxi. Hotel room price is reasonable, staff friendly and clean conditions.

New, modern, clean, rooms of good size for a 3-and-a-half star hotel, comfortable beds & pillows, fridge, safe, hairdryer, toothbrush sets, usual toiletries provided, good wifi, breakfast provided, caring staff at s'treats cafe (breakfast area):Jay & his team of staff, lobby with nice nerve-soothing fragrance,5-min fully-sheltered walk to Chan Sow Lin metro station, 3-stop away from Imbi station/Bt Bintang area with one change at Hang Tuah, two 7-elevens within walking distance, numerous reasonably-priced eateries around the hotel & the list goes on & on. The hotel charges extra for city view, we went for it. No regrets, though not that stunning, it was a better view than the non-city one. Personal preference, u may find the non-city view equally acceptable. We lied down on the sattee by the window & enjoyed the view, sunset & night view. If u are looking for hot breakfast, the dishes served here were rather cold. Please note that hotel is located next to a near-vacant mall.

We booked a family suite for 4 pax and surprisingly on the actual day was given a complimentary 2 separate rooms from the staff Mr. Azman with the same price. The rooms were very cleaned considering the hotel being there for the past 3 years which shows the management & housekeeping staff were really taking care of the cleanliness of the rooms. Aircon & water pressure were equally very good. Location wise was just satisfactory with the LRT just behind the hotel whilst our car was parked really secured in a gated-compound as security officer made sure our vehicle is really safe but the parking lots are limited to 4 vehicle at any one time however there were parking lots at back lane which are mostly occupied during the day and parking lots were readily available after 10pm. For a reasonable price per room of a 2-star hotel, the security aspects at this hotel were much more better than some of the 4 or 5 star hotels. For food lovers, there many restaurants surrounding the hotel with just a walking distance with both Chinese & Indian Muslim food. Bukit Bintang area could be reached with just 2 LRT stations away where there are many shopping centres for you to shop. Overall we'are fully satisfied. Would come back again if opportunity arises.

This hotel price is cheap, yet it came with breakfast for two. The receptionist is helpful and they were friendly I would said. The room is not big, the bed and toilet is clean though. Toilet is getting a bit old. The exterior design is superb, I love it very much. The only thing is the location (and transport?). It took me a 30 minutes to look for this place. Luckily I brought my laptop with me and search the hotel in the google map. =) For people without a transport, it could be a fuss. But no worry nearby the hotel there is a LRT station within 1KM walking distance?

I was upgraded to a Deluxe room because they had no non smoking rooms available, very nice and helpful staff in general. The A/C worked great and TV too. The free Breakfast buffet was really good, they had so many different things, I was pleasantly surprised. I had a leak in the toilet but was fixed the next day. The shower head was loose but did the job. The room had a safe and a blow dryer. The hotel is located next to Jusco supermarket and few other restaurants and shops which is great if you. Don't want to travel to the city. The center of KL is about 30mins in a Cab or LRT. The walk to the LRT station will take about 7 to 10mins and will cost you around 5 bucks, a Cab would set you back 30 bucks or more. There a band playing at the Hotel so try to get a room away from it if you sleep early or sensitive to noise. I was satisfied overall but I won't stay there again only because of the location.

I find the hotel quite far frm the lrt station and scary to go back to the hotel at night when both of you are girls. Besides that, i like the breakfast and their good customer service. There is also a reading room, small fitness corner and a balcony just for smoking as this hotel is a smoke free room. The theme room that I stayed in is very comfortable and spacious but lacks cleanliness. Overall, for the amount I spent per night, its worth it.

Nice that they have a tea-coffee maker in each room. Strange that it's not mentioned in room description. Internet connection is good. On the whole this hotel gives nice impression. The only problem is the location. It's about 10-15 min walk from LRT station and you have to walk through not the most pleasant streets. Many taxi drivers don't know how to get there, so you must take a hotel business card with a map on it with you.

Wifi good . Mobile phone signal good. Last time took a garden room - quiet & comfy This time a room facing main room - windows sound-proofed ! That's a good design for a boutique hotel . Friendly staff. Rooms are clean. Bathrooms good size . The bed is the star - very comfortable. Location - edge of city . Current operating station is about 800m away . Heard 2 new stations coming up nearby . Easy to take taxi & uber from hotel

Spending two nights there. Though the room (superior) is smaller than what 'ordinary hotels' have, its modern, minimalistic design delivers a unique pleasantness that only a few can make equal of. It is also one of the cleanest hotel rooms i have ever stayed. With Wi-Fi. The staff are friendly and helpful. An instance: i left behind my iphone (3 though) in bed when i went out and when i came back, i saw it on the desk... The only drawback of the hotel is its location. Not that it takes five to ten minutes for me to walk to the nearest LRT station (Maluri), but that it often took me more than 5 minutes to get a chance to cross the busy road (no traffic lights for pedestrian)... Over all, it's a very outstanding budget hotel.

Very cheap, paid only rm39.37 for a single room, but was give a twin room. pros -easy to find -room is clean n tidy -aircon works -shower works -helpful staff (but not so resourceful) -walking distance to giant, dominos, and few restaurants. 250m walk to LRT station cons -parking quite limited on peak hours, hav to pay parking fee (rm1/hour) -long staircase (those with heavy luggage should reconsider) -ants will attack your food (my pizza from dominos next door was attacked..) -wifi very speedy (25mbps) but dont rely on it. You'll disconnect every 30secs. -smartphone no signal if you're in the middle rooms. you'll get signal when you're near the window.

Have to start by saying its a shame we can only give the staff 5 stars, they really were great. The hotel was quite clean, cleaner than many 3/4 star hotels that we have stayed in in Malaysia. The only gripe is the location, which, though close, is not really walkable from the LRT stations due to the network of highways between. in fact you can't really walk anywhere so make sure you have Uber /Grab to get around without relying on Taxis. Would stay again, but only if I had to be in the area

The area may seems a little filthy nothing special from building look outside ..but for about $ 30 per night for room for 3 people (even they give me 4 people bedroom) it was best deal, they have clean room,clean bed, clean amenities (they give soap,shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush and even breakfast (fried rice, fried noodles, boiling eggs, bread with jam , watermelon, orange drink, water and instant coffee)...and they even help with bellboy to carry luggages and friendly staffs. Compare to my hotel in ipoh (which dirty so many hairs when I wasjust checked in and more expensive without breakfast nor amenities) . its good deal for budget hotel..just abit noise as the wall is thin so u can hear people next door tv a bit but cant complain more for only $10 a night

I had a FANTASTIC stay at this hotel. I traveled solo to KL so I needed something inexpensive, that allowed me easy access into the city. I found it through this hotel. It IS a bit off the beaten path. The surrounding area is mostly apartments and there's a small highway close by. A lot of the businesses in the area tended to be shuttered up or just seemed sketchy. DO NOT let this throw you. Most locals say that no matter where you are in KL, it's best to be in before dark to be safe. I generally ate food or got takeout in central KL so I didn't need to search the area for food. Added Bonus: there's a 7/11 next door with friendly staff. The store has microwave dinners and ramen you can purchase heat up there. There is a subway station about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel and buses that travel along the small highway that you can get on. The journey to the subway is NOT to be taken at night, but I felt relatively comfortable walking to it during the day. The room was immaculate and perfect for someone who just wanted somewhere clean and comfortable to stay. I had access to a TV and Wifi (the latter of which sometimes cut out on me but computers were available in the lobby area as far as I remember). I had a breakfast buffet as part of my stay. Breakfast was very simple - fruit platters, noodles, eggs, etc. I don't like to eat too much in the mornings so it was just right. Finally, the staff. They went above and beyond in every respect. They tried to help me find tours that I wished to go on; assisted me in finding my way around the city; and were just generally friendly and lovely to be around. The hotel has security - I saw at least two guards at any given time patrolling the outside and the inside of the hotel. From what I've seen, this is standard in most hotels in KL and definitely allowed me to rest easy. The hotel will all my basic requirements and was a delight to stay at. Made my last minute trip to Malaysia all the better!

This hotel is not too far from AEON Maluri. So it is also near to MRT and LRT. Only about 3 minutes walking distance. Behind the hotel you can find a restaurant and some grocery store. 7 Eleven are a little bit far but still near I think. Basically, this hotel is fair enough. Basic facilities such as elevator, key card access and toilet inside room. The furniture was little bit old and some of it broken. But it still serve its function. TV has some channel and it is working good.

The Urban Bird Hotel was the perfect choice for a couple of days in KL. On arrival they upgraded me into a Deluxe Queen room. The Deluxe Queens are small but there's enough space for luggage, even for two people it would be fine I suppose. But on that note, it's important to know that the bathrooms are open towards the ceiling. If you're traveling alone that's obviously no problem but when traveling with someone be prepared that there's no way to hide ANYTHING. Otherwise both bathroom and room were perfectly clean and in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable and there are several wall-attached wardrobes and hooks to hang clothes. If you're a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs as there can be noise from the hallway. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the reception is covered 24/7. Also, I felt really safe as the main entrance can only be opened from the outside when ringing the bell and being admitted by the staff. Attached to the hotel is a coffee shop/waffle place attached to it, which is a nice and friendly place. Only thing is, it doesn't open until noon so it's no breakfast option. Location-wise the hotel is about a 5' walk each to Pudu and Imbi station. You can also walk to Bukit Bintang in about 15-20'. During daytime it's very safe in this area, but I don't know about night time. I never walked back to the hotel when it was late but took a Grab car. I can definitely recommend this place and can honestly say it was the best value in Southeast Asia so far.

I have a good stay here. I’ve a stay here for Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon 2019 & took 10km race at Dataran Merdeka. If you wish to take public transport to this hotel at the earliest time, it’s quite far from MRT (BUKIT BINTANG) around 15-20mins walk & operates at 6am (Mon-Sun & some specials day) & change at Pasar Seni station to take LRT heading to Masjid Jamek station. Dataran Merdeka about 5-7mins walks from this station. I’m sharing this based on my experiences. The hotel management even extend the checkout time from 12pm to 12:30pm as we informed that the event finish late & it takes time for me to reach at the hotel & packing our things for checkout. The hotel was good for stay which clean, a/c provided with conducive space for me to just stay for sleep & rest.

The hotel is just next to Chan Sow Lin LRT station. You can take LRT by just walk across the sky bridge. The hotel is next to HELP College of Arts and Technology also and seems some of the rooms serve as student hostel for many international students also. What's more, the staff there I met is very friendly and helpful. The cons are you can hear the noise of LRT trains in the morning.

The room was really clean and spacious enough. Thumbs up to the spacious bathroom. We were provided with 2 key cards during our stay which was really helping when I went out to top up my junk foods while my husband was sleeping in the room. Convenient stores are within walking distance. 24hours eateries are scattered around the hotel as well. And we ordered foods at 1am and the food delivered to our room free of charge. Feels like staying in 4 stars hotel and paying for one star hotel price. Really satisfied and we were happy customers. Definitely coming back and one of my most favourite hotel so far. Really recommended. The customer service also very helpful when we turned up earlier for checked in. Thumbs up and keep up the good work guys.

april  2012, i and my girlfriend stayed at phoenix hotel for two night. all the staff of phoenix hotel are very friendly since we stepped in the hotel and they provided great level of services even the security guard who will always smile and open the door at main entrance for you to come in or go out from the hotel. the room is very comfortable which provide nice and clean bed and lcd tv with satellite channel like astro and  although the wash room is considered a bit small but out of all the budget hotels this is the best we have seen so far due to it looks very new and clean. all facilities needed  inside the room are completed, and also you may be able to request for other facilities and services like wifi, hair-dryer and etc..from reception. what is amazing to us which is the speed of the wifi connection, it is really fast and steady. although the location of phoenix hotel is a bit far from the pudu lrt station and we need to take about 10min walk to the hotel. we have taken cab to petaling street is only within 10min and it's cost few ringgit only because it is very far if walking to petaling street or even times square. altogether, we have great experience when the time we stayed at phoenix hotel for two night. the prices range for each of the room are reasonable and affordable. there is one of the nice hotel we have experienced. we will consider to have another chance again to stay at phoenix hotel. this experience is value for money and worthwhile. in my opinion, this hotel will be entitled score 9 out of 10.
