I booked through on line,nice room view to pool, we try to rentall bycicle to get the atm out of hotel just took 10 mnt to reached due no atm machine in hotel,no taxy standbye too, and one more thing before room ready to sell ensure check detail and all equipment well functioning because wheb I am trying to heat up water for my tea the electric jar was not working and the staff was replaced immediatly.thanks it just minor issue no worries keep in provide the best service. We will come back for sure

My first impression about this hotel began when the security in the lobby opened our car's door and greeted my nephew who had just woken up with friendly gesture, "ah, ade masih ngantuk ya (trans: ah, little boy are you still sleepy?). The friendliness and hospitality of the staffs continued throughout our stay. They were also responsive. When I called the housekeeping to take my dirty laundry and request for the cleaned one, they responded promptly. The room was a bit small, but very clean and well-equipped. They even provided hair dryer which is rarely provided by 3-star hotels in Indonesia. I can even mention a 4-star hotel which does not provide hair dryers in their rooms. Breakfast was good. They provided my favourite illy coffee, but with additional charge, which is fine if you're willing to pay extra for a good cup of coffee in the morning. The staffs were always there to take your empty plates. My fav is the special section for Jamu (Indonesian herbal drinks). Love it!

The Tugu Park Hotel is a very friendly and established, well known hotel for almost 20 years I use this hotel when even I have the possibility. The standard remains high. The only critic I might have is with the restaurant. The prices are becoming relatively high and you invite customers to look somewhere else. I know the restaurant is always very occupied, but do not overvalue yourself. Further - if the restaurant is so full as the day we eat there and the waiting time is rather long..... Ever heard of an "amuse" a very small appetizer for free to entertain yr clients. No critic just a little tip. Hope to come bag to you soon...

I think there is not much to say except that I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I've been to worse 5-star hotels! Nothing to complain about, the restaurant downstairs was really good, live band just nice (not too loud). Too chilly to swim when I was there so didn't try the pool but it definitely looked nice. The staff is really nice as they went out of their way to try to please us. Beware of taxis in Malang: they're impossible to find! Anyway, great hotel. Would love to come back.

It was our first visit to Malang and we were happy that we chose this hotel as it is located in a strategic location. Malang's biggest mall is right beside this hotel. They even share their parking lot. All of Malang's best places are no more than 15 minutes away. The room was clean and spacious that we did not have to had an extra bed for us (2 adults and 2 young teenagers). We were staying in a twin bed room and their beds were 120cm wide each, and that was wide enough for us when we join the beds together. The bathroom was simple but clean with a nice shower. Ask for a room with pool view to get the best view of the city.

The check in was fast even though I have to insist to staff that I already paid for 5 persons instead of 4. The room was nice and clean and still big enough for 5. Wifi is accessible in the room. Car parking is not an issue. Surrounding area and hotel environment made us feel like in the village in Bali. Quiete and serene. In the morning we were woken up by the nice sound of bali traditional bambu musical instrument. Maybe the one that the hotel could improve is the breakfast.

We choose because this hotel is new, the fact only 5 minutes drive to go to down town and only spend about 30 minutes to tourist place at batu. All the staff are so friendly make you feel like at home. A couple things the hotel management need to improve such as pay attention to detail on cleanliness in hall way of corridor, more selection on the menu either restaurant or room service, facilities by the swimming pool such as providing towels, snack and drinks menus by the pool. Looking forward to seeing this hotel can finish their constructions so they deserve to rate them self as 4 stars hotel.

We arrived at the evening, the checkin process was quick and efficient, the staff were very warm and polite, we received wedang jahe as a welcome drink which was great since it was raining and kinda cold that night. The family room we booked was quite unique due to its loft bedroom configuration, the kids love it. Its a lil bit less spacious than we would like but still big enough. The breakfast spread was good with many choices, tastewise for a 4 star hotel could be better I believe. The hotel itself kept in a good condition eventhough its starting to show its age. But overall it still one of the premiere hotel in Malang area. Highly recommended

We spent 3 days and 2 nights at this hotel and it was very nice. Front Desk attitude was great. I forgot my ID card at the lobby and they went to my room to give it back. Variance of food was awesome. Both local and western food are available. They served JAMU as well! The sad thing only for the pool. It was too small for 4 star hotel but overall, We do really satisfied with this hotel

this is my first time stayed at bw oj malang, that look a new hotel in town. so i book via agoda and get the best price include breakfast. so, when arrive and checking in they serve fast and easy. they gave me a highest floor at 11 level as my request. the room was spacious with twin single bed (120x200 bed size). my room is the best view, where city and mount view with a huge windows. the bad things was very noisy when the skyroom closed at midnite, because my room was under the kitchen. everything in this hotel is nice, good staff and good breakfast too. the pool in 3 floor is little and very cold, but the kiddos was fun. if you find for wasting the nite plz check to 12 floor, it's roof top sky room and they have pretty open lounge with great view. the internet access is available in the room and all public area in the hotel, but that's little bit slow. fasten in the lobby area.

I was staying 3 nights at this hotel. This hotel is brand new and all the facilities work well. The towels smell nice. Although the location isn't near to center of the city, however your could call a taxi to go there. Ask hotel staff to book the taxi, they know which one deliver best service. The breakfast is best for budget hotel. Good value for money for business traveler.

SAvanna has extremely big rooms so much so that it looked bare just because of its size. Stayed there for a night before heading to Mt Bromo. Location is just a couple mins to the town centre, but then again the town of Malang is relatively small and easy to get around. Breakfast was decent and had a good choice of both local and western food. Mini bar is complementary which included orange juice, isotonic drink, coke and couple of mineral water. The hotel comes with a gym, swimming pool and a rooftop bar. The only quirk is that the design of the hotel is a little perculiar. Rooms has a balcony that faces inwards towards the room opposite in the next block- hence no one hangs out in the balcony. The pool is between the 2 blocks and the restaurant is right next to the pool. Which makes swimming a totally non-private event. The hotel has a spa there that's worth a mention. Price for massages is reasonable considering it is in a hotel and the quality of massage is high. Definitely worth a visit but one has to make advance booking because of its popularity. The sky lounge is a nice place to end the evening and when i was there there was a live band.

Stayed for 3D/2N in late Okt. 2017 for a working holiday with my family and our entourage. Booked 3 rooms through Agoda for 990 each, as the hotel website prices are outrageously expensive. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful in upgrading one our Premiere room to the Royal Suite (don’t expect much in the Suite btw). Rooms were classy, clean and cozy. Bathrooms quite small with shower in bathtub. Every time we showered there would be puddles of water on the floor, as the glass covering the shower bathtub only goes halfway. As other reviewers mentioned, the AC is quite loud and cold. Other reviewers also complained about the loud street noise in certain rooms closest to the Main Street, which I can vouch fo also in the Royal Suite. Excellent breakfast, very tasty (especially the tempe) probably typical of a Malang breakfast at home I would guess. Large clean swimming pool, small fitness center, great terrace for sitting and relaxing. Parking quite limited as the hotel is in a central residential area. Overall on of the best boutique hotels in Malang with limited facilities.

The place is comfortable although it’s an old hotel The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable There is a cable tv, but the tv is an old tv so the picture is not so good The bathroom is very old and the first water that came out smells awful But the again its worth it Because the location is perfect, near every top food in Malang And the staffs are very friendly

We love the location of the hotel... Having lots of restaurants and lesehan nearby makes it so easy to get food no matter the time... The room was awesome too.... Very quiet and very, very comfortable... Only complaint we had was that the bathroom smelled of sewage water the first 2 days and the last night of our stay... We didnt know why but when we managed to close the bathroom door, the smell was gone... And the grime in the bathroom was a little unappealing too... Maybe something can be done to make the room the best... Other than that, we love the room... And the staffs especially Pak Kuswo was a great help... Will stay here again if we ever do stay in Malang...

These is a hotel that is popular with Javanese families and wedding parties. It's a little bit out of the town centre, so you really need a car, but apart from that it's excellent value for money. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of (Javanese) food, and the swimming pool was nice and clean. The rooms are big, and very clean, and there's hot water in the morning and the evening. We usually stay at the Splendid Inn, but for an extra a night this is much nicer (and far less creepy).

Was passing through for a day from Batu to Surabaya. Hotel is located in old town, nothing much nearby except for McD. Breakfast was good but hotel is only 3 storey, so need walk up stairs. Room is reasonable. The reception staff (Ms Mala) was extremely helpful, she help us book the Bima train tickets to Surabaya for the next day and went to collect the tickets from Station during her off-duty hrs to give us the ticket during breakfast the next morning. Very commendable... best hotel staff I have met during my years of travel. Will stay again.

Clean, comfort bed. The single size is 120 × 200, is it still enough to sleep with 1 young children. The location is in quiet residential. At night (may be above 9p.m) the gates are close, so we have to drive around the blocks. May be the hotel management give an alternative route map to guest who gonna back at night. Friendly staff, simple staycation, simple amenities (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, shower cap, disposable sandals). Recommended !

I had a very nice stay here, actually, I prolonged for one extra night to take a day off on my month-long trip. Rooms are big and clean, but a little bit dark in my opinion, staff is fast and super-friendly, room service is nice. Although people at reception misinformed me - I wanted to rent a motorbike and was told that there is no such thing in Malang. 15 minutes later I was already driving, found small rental 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Food was nice. Location is very nice too, although in the centre, hotel is located on quiet street off the main traffic. Very nice hotel overall.

We checked in 5 Dec and checked out 7 Dec after a terrible journey from Surabaya. The location is the best and I liked the old colonial charm the hotel has to offer. Beautiful old plates were hung on the wall as decorations. The room was really big and they offered 2 large double beds. Some people may not like old furniture in the room and also the old(not spotless looking and shiny) floorings but I loved it! The toilet was modern and clean. Surprisingly, my 76 year old mom and my 2 20(year old) somethings children were not really in favour of the old, furniture but they loved the location and we all slept well throughout our stay. The staff were really very kind, polite, helpful and nice. They are the stars of the hotel and we loved the lobby area. The hotel is in refurbishing process and I am sure it will look more beautiful in future. I will not hesitate to go back to the hotel again in future.

I booked a room for 3 adults for 1 night last saturday. At first, i was so doubt of this hotel. The price was the cheapest and the photos are not so clear. But after 1 night stay, i would say that i'm gonna stay at this hotel again when visit malang. The standard room for 3 adults is very minimalist, but it's clean and the bed is comfort. The carpark is available for about 20 cars. I don't think that i would find another hotel with the same price and same quality with great location as this.

The staff had the patience of a saint with us as quite a demanding family. They are polite and try to be as helpful as possible. The English is limited however this is made up for through perseverance. Only criticism is that there was no hot water when we needed it. Also it’s abit far from the main road so you’ll need to walk for ten minutes or hire a moped from the same for 70,000. We did the later and it worked out well.

We stopped by in Malang to visit Mount Bromo. We walked from the train station, which was a little far, but we were too tired to deal with taxi drivers who target us because we're foreign female travelers. We arrived very early, so the hotel staff allowed us to sleep in the lobby. When we finally got to the room, it was a relief how clean it was. The place felt brand new! But two issues: the room is TINY and the sun hit the room directly so it was very hot. Not much we can do about the space, but thank goodness for thick curtains and strong AC. The hotel staff were very helpful about giving us advice on restaurants to visit and a good tour company for visiting Mount Bromo. Sadly, due to volcanic activity, we could not get close to Mount Bromo so keep that in mind if you visit Malang for Mount Bromo.
