I cannot speak highly enough about the service I experienced in the hotel! Believe it or not I very rarely write reviews but felt obligated to in this case! From the moment I walked in everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I stayed for 4 days and can honestly say this hotel is well on its way to at least 4 stars! I rarely write reviews but all of the staff are committed to doing their absolute best from the front desk to the spa staff and my sweet cleaning lady. The hotel is still under construction which was a bit of a bummer, but despite this the actual facilities are very relaxing and well designed. The view on the roof is spectacular especially at night. Despite all the pros of this hotel I do have some areas of constructive feedback in the interest of helping to make it the best it can be: please put a fan or air con in the gym!! It’s a smaller space (still sufficient) but it gets very hot in there! Also, please add hooks to the bathroom in the lobby!

nikko junior suites are hands down the best suites in hcmc at approx. us$ , breakfast included. high quality furniture, great room service, friendly & efficient staff. the suites incl. 3 times a day snacks & beverages on the executive floor with an amazing view of hcmc. japanes restaurant is not cheap but delicious. the pool & gym are great too. concierge is extremely knowledgable and knows his way in & out in hcmc. taxis available 24/7 just with a 1 minute or 2 waiting time. the shopping center next door is ok, not great. i would never consider another hotel in hcmc. i had a last minute change of travel-date and even though i booked with no change of date possible, nikko informed agoda and my date was changed at no costs, thank you nikko.

Staff are very friendly and helpful there the moment we stepped into the hotel. Every piece of decoration is elegant and a pleasure to enjoy. Mini bar is free. Bed sheets and towels are so clean. The hotel pays attention to detail. They will prepare your bed, slippers and provide some chocolates and fruits to welcome you back from a day of travel. My husband and I booked a spa for couple. Price is very reasonable for the service we enjoyed: a bottle of champagne, cavier, and at the end of the spa, they even prepared a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolate. Whenever I visit HCMC again, I will definitely book this hotel and recommend to my friends. no other choice in HCMC.

My wife and I visited HCMC for the third time and we tried this brand new hotel. It is absolutely gorgeous and we were greeted with a bottle of champagne for our anniversary, which was a very nice touch. The staff is very earnest and they try very hard, if they are a bit inexperienced. They were just lovely to us. The rooms are extremely unique and we loved the small touches. Somebody really put a lot of thought into the design. The rooftop pool was great and the morning breakfast was too. As you may read about the hotel, construction noise is a challenge on one full side of the building. We actually stayed on the other side, yet unfortunately experienced noise challenges of a different kind, due to a nightclub playing thumping music until about 2:30a every morning, which kept us up. I would love to stay here again, but this did sadly impact our stay; even with ear plugs. Just know that this may be a challenge for the foreseeable future, but if you are willing to overlook and try it, I think that this is actually the physically nicest hotel we've stayed in in HCMC (over the Des Arts, Intercontinental, Nikko). The staff certainly tried very hard.

A 5 star hotel with superb location. Many high end boutique, cafeteria and restuarants within walking distance. Very spacious room with all relevant aminities. Plus point is the super comfy bed linings and mattress. The sound proofing is great too, one can watch the busy traffic out of the hotel room window without hearing any outside sound. Good spa services provided at the centre. I had an excellent manicure service by the professional. My husband also had a great full body massage session too. The hotel front desk staff was very kind enough to offer us a spa discount voucher to compensate for the late release of our room to us when we checked in on the 1st day. Thus, staff is quick to provide a serive recovery. Merit points to the concierge staff whom had recommended us to all the great resturants with delicious food. We were really very satisfied with all the resturants that he had recommended to us during our 3 nights stay. My husband also enjoying himself in the casino while i was having a great time shopping at the nearby shopping centres. The hotel disco pub also provide a romantic night scenary of HCMC with great band music. All in all The Caravelle Hotel is an excellent hotel to stay in when you are in HCMC. Will definately stay in this hotel again whenever we are going to HCMC. Best recommended for couples, family groups as well as for corporate trip due to the very convenient location.

Stayed here for 3 nights and booked the Rex suite. The hotel is very centralized which means that you can literally walk to most tourist sites in HCMC. It's located right across the Cityhall. The hotel itself is an attraction as I found out from some local tour brochures which included a visit to the Rex hotel. The famous rooftop bar is just located at the top of the hotel. The cho Ben thanh market is about 15 minutes walk away. The notre dame cathedral and the central post office is just a 10 minutes walk. The war remnants museum is about a 20-25 minutes walk and the HCMC museum is a 10 minutes walk.The hotel is located in the main shopping belt and the are tons of eateries, some famous ones just around the hotel. If you want to visit the Saigon river, it's just a 20 minutes walk, passing by the Bitexco financial tower. The location of the hotel is simply fantastic. Check in was quick and the front office staff was very friendly and attentive. They speak pretty good English too, and it's a bonus here in Vietnam as I found that not many people can speak English. They always smile at us when we were walking past the reception area. The lobby is huge and there is also a casino located within the hotel. The Rex suite was huge, with 1 queen and 2 double beds. There is a separate living room, dining room and another room with the 2 double beds. There is also a balcony overlooking the city hall. Basically, the rooms are cleaned everyday and one day, the room attendant even knocked on our doors to ask if we may need anything. Our beverages were refreshed everyday. The closeness to the main street also meant that it can get a bit noisy at times. Our suite is located on the old wing, which is not a problem at all. In fact, we had our breakfast every morning just one floor up. The swimming pool and the gym are also located on level 5. Breakfast offers a great selection and it's simply great. After a harrowing experience at another HCMC hotel (see reviews), I checked out of another hotel and moved to this hotel. What a welcome change! Having experienced 6 hotels Vietnam in 4 days, this was on another level. The front door staff greeted customers with a smile. The front desk staff expectedly did not have our reservation (it was booked 30 seconds before showing up); however, the staff were polite and over accommodating. One word – professionalism! I cannot express how good it felt to be treated nicely after the previous rude behavior from another hotel. The rooms were clean, great AC, perfect location, and completed a perfect experience. The front desk actually went out of their way to help with a smile.. Unaware that we had forgotten a new iphone 6 in the room, the hotel staff ran the phone down to the front desk as we were checking out, thereby completing a perfect hotel experience. Again…great location, great rooms, staff that is friendly, helpful, and honest; and a management team that is professional and competent. Rare things in SE Asia.

This hotel is new , modern clean and extremely friendly staff, located at at dead end in do strict 1 in an area fast becoming the Paris area of HCMC, the restaurants around the hotel are all fantastic, averages prices and close to Millenipium building, ( can walk there). I would highly recommend. Great view from the roof top. You can also walk to Notre dame and train station, the centre of HCMC. Breakfast was out of this world. We travelling all over Vietnam and I would rate this breakfast, ( included) was by far the best, with a roof top view.

We live in HCMC but stayed here for a getaway weekend and i made the right choice. Generally, most of 5 stars hotel in HCMC are overpriced compare to the likes of BK or KL. Check in and check out were really quick, upon checkin was told got upgrade to Exce River view and happy to extend my check out time to 1pm. Bedding is really comfy and the view is just spectacular. Breakfast was superb, lots of choices. Perfect location as at river bank and close to everywhere. Front entrance easy access to Financial district while city entrance offer direct access to Japanese town and major attractions. However, there are some point that need to be improved. Great pool but there were only feel pool chairs have mattress and the pool staffs were not really friendly, were lack of smile. The next morning when we were in our room, staff pressed bell and with in 5-10s they opened the door without waiting my answer. Luckily, i double locked the door and nothing happen. This is still a big mistake and need to be taken into account. Overall, i highly recommend this hotel and still believe it was just an accident and it won't happen again.

As a frequent visitor to HCMC for business, I have stayed in at least 10 different 3 to 5 stars hotels in HCMC over the past year. Many are good but every one of them is lacking in an area like service or facilities, or is just too expensive for what they provide. I don't write reviews but felt inclined to do so based on what is undooubtly my best hotel stay experience in HCMC. Eden Saigon is new and there are a few minor teething problems as can be expected. The location is good but certainly not the best compared to the up market opera tourist area. But none of these matters. The management and staff has to be congratulated for the best service I have ever received in any HCMC hotels bar none beating out much better known and much more expensive high end 5 stars establishments. The architecture and design is elegantly understated by Vietnamese standards with an impressive grand lobby and 12th floor pool and bar not to be missed for the incredible views. Most importantly, the room is elegant, warm and comfortable, equipped with everything one needs with a few extra touches that makes the difference between good and excellent....and I stayed in the lowest end room. I have no doubt Eden Saigon will flourish if they continue their impeccable service and maintain their facilities, and do not look forward to the day when their rates catch up with their reputation. In the meantime, I am going to enjoy not staying in a different hotel everytime, now that I have found the one perfect for me.

We got upgraded for (no apparent) reasons to the Colonel Suite when checking in, so this review will obviously be slightly positively biased but still, this was all and all a good experience.......The room (#104) doesn't have the best view from the window, as the below half of the window view faces the rear side of the hotel's facade, but since we spend most of our time outside and we were in HCMC just for two nights it really did not matter much......It was huge (a good 80+ square metres for living, bedroom and bathroom) so we felt quite royal in there......The room was clean and amenities more than enough......The pool is tiny but the courtyard it is located in has such a nice colonial atmosphere that the size of the pool really becomes irrelevant. It's about enjoying the historical value of the hotel. If you want a huge pool with slides, I'm sure you can find a Sheraton or Hilton or some other major hotels that will satisfy you.......Nice breakfast from rooftop with an excellent view on the Saigon River.The Pho Bo's good in the morning so leave a little room for it!........The concierge was very efficient, explaining us quite in detail the best and cheapest way to get to Cholon from the hotel.........Beside the obvious historical value of the hotel, its location is worth it too. Walking distance from the old cathedral, the post office, the Ben Than market and so on makes it a good base for any basic tourism. Once again, we love walking so what we consider walking distance might be taxi distance for anyone else, but still everything's close........Even if we hadn't been upgraded and had stayed in a smaller room, I'm sure we'd have liked the stay all the same.........Last but not the least, we never stay in big luxurious hotels so we can't really compare with other 5 stars, but at 200$ the room, it's got to be good value for money. And once again, it's all about the value of staying in a piece of history.

Overall a very good choice for mid-level hotels. Although the hotel markets itself as a 4-star, it is not a very fancy hotel - so do not hold very high expectations. That being said, compared with the 150-dollar hotels in HCMC I have stayed, I think this is still a very good choice especially if you are paying the bill out of your own pocket instead of going to HCMC for a business trip. It is very close to, but on the quieter side of, Ben Thanh Market, so there is a lot less noise or chaos. The hotel is also very new and clean. The simple yet modern decor is a plus, which you do not see very often if you stay in a typical Vietnamese hotel.

Just one word! Awesome! Unbelievable price in such a great hotel. Wonder how they going to manage at such low price. The comfort of this hotel is much better than some 4-5 star hotel. The bed is very comfortable, big TV screen, nice clean bathroom. Design is very modern and shower is very good. The best hotel in HCMC, everything &place without walking limit. Highly recommended, must stay!

For me even only 1 night stay but it's totally pleasant stay and impress. Location is the best, you could reach to almost every interesting place of District 1 with 5-10 minutes or walking distance. Many international and local restaurants surrounded, convenient store is just opposite also supermarket, main sightseeing places, business hub of Ho Chi Minh City especially Bitexco Financial Tower, etc. The hotel appearance is colonial style since 1930 but it has renovated thus it's look elegance. Room is functional and look nice especially bathroom (really love it). Cleanliness is one of my pleasant point of this hotel, almost everywhere in this hotel is clean and neat. Staff are very nice, friendly and informative. Good breakfast. Nice swimming pool in the backyard, quite relax. VINASUN Taxi stand is just the front of this hotel. So, don't worry to travel to anywhere in Ho Chi Minh City with hassle-free. It's a 5-Star hotel in HCMC that i would like to recommend :)

The pros: a) The pool. It is small but long enough for a weak swimmer like me (if you the lap type, maybe go somewhere else). The view is fantastic and the best in HCMC. Very beautiful! The greatest thing is to swim with your head tilting towards to the river and you will feel like you are flying. The pool is best at night because it is too hot to really swim. They just opened the bar and it's a pretty decent place to get a mojito. Also, it's not too chlorinated. That is a big plus! I love it. b) The view from the room. c) The staff. Well, it depends on who you are. I am a business traveler so I can tell a difference between a 5 to 4-star hotel. But I like these people. Generally not too fussy with you but take care of your needs. They won't bend over backward to get you everything (e.g. chargers for your devices) but are quite nice if you just want a basic hotel service. d) The location - By the river front and within walking distance to major sights. I like the river aspect of it and watching the barge floats downstream. e) Compared to the Sheraton (another good hotel in my opinion), it's much cheaper so you will get a good price/quality ratio. Also, I just think the view here is much better. The pool at the Sheraton is bigger and more tropical due to the plants but not as "cool". Also, you won't lament the money you spent here. It's a good value.

We really enjoyed our stay. Will recommend it to others and will definitely stay again. The staff is excellent, friendly, courteous and most of all very helpful. The best service I've experienced. Nice facilities, very clean.Many TV stations, WIFI strong. Room size is okay. Great location, very accessible to all places by walking. Breakfast buffet is fantastic. Stay and you won't regret it.

Our rooms were spacious enough--not big, not especially small. Nice shower, hot water worked great. A good selection of tv stations. The bed was firm and comfortable. Good breakfast buffet; they also served eggs and omelets upon request. The location was quite convenient, as there were tons of restaurants, convenience stores, massage/foot massage places, and bars nearby; Phạm Ngũ Lão is a street away. Best of all were the people, just an utterly helpful and friendly staff. They were all so nice.

You can't beat the location, and you can walk to most things in District 1. This is a true four star hotel (not all hotels which advertise themselves are such compared to international standards). Make sure you book a city view room. If you do then will get get a fantastic panorama of the city skyline, which is magical both day and night. Another must is the roof top terrace on the 14th floor, (the pool is also up here), where you can drink in the views, day or night. The beds are really comfortable and the room I stayed in , had a lovely new bathroom. Breakfasts were great, too. I have been to HCMC many times and have stayed in many Hotels, there. Bt when it comes to the combination of factors such as budget, quality of rooms (mine was a large city view on a higher floor), ease of walking access to most of the local sights and value for money, then you can't beat here.

This is the 4th or 5th time I have stayed at this hotel and it is the ONLY hotel in HCMC I will EVER stay at. Breakfast here are the BEST in Asia and I have travelled to a large number if Asian countries. The staff are amazing... so friendly, happy, willing to help out and always prepared to go out of their way to help. The location of this hotel is within a few steps of the Market but is not noisy.... great location. The room was always cleaned and prepared nicely, Internet was fast and free, staff were happy to organise airport transport. There is nothing negative for me to say about this hotel.... I LOVE it.

This hotel was the most expensive per night of our whole 2 week trip in Vietnam and Cambodia and it was by far the least nice hotel we stayed in. The whole hotel is extremely outdated (Think early 80's businessman) and has a musty/cigarette smell. One of our shower doors was broken, which made it hard to get in and out of the shower. Also, the hotel transfer service was quite expensive. Almost for both ways, the most we paid anywhere (including service with another hotel in HCMC). However, the staff were friendly and very helpful and the location was excellent. I wouldn't recommend staying here for an extended time but it' ok for one night.

The hotel has a modern design and staff are very welcoming. Our room price included daily spa treatments for each night's stay, which was absolutely worth it. Great massages! Bathrooms were spacious, though water pressure was a little weak. Location is convenient, though probably not walkable to some of the tourist attractions, especially with the crazy hcmc traffic. During our stay, there were loud sirens/alarms on a few occasions which were a bit disruptive. On the whole, a great boutique hotel. I'd stay there again next time I'm in town.

We had a wonderful time at the Somerset. The children loved the pool. We booked a 3 and a 2 bedroom apartment and was upgraded. We had ample room for everyone. The gentleman at the reception desk spoke English very well and was the most polite Hotel staff member that I had encounter in Vietnam. He actually declined to take a tip. The kitchen had everything that we needed. Check out was a bit long but that was because they had so much items to check over. We will definitely return when we come back to HCMC.

We were almost scared off after reading some bad reviews but upon arrivals we realised that most western travellers are just the type that like to complain about nothing. This hotel was and with grrat ammenaties, very friendly staff, great pool, good breakfast, convenient (free) scooter parking and a whole list of positives. Like everything in Vietnam, the attention to the super fine detail is slightly lacking, however this is easy to look past and after a few days in HCMC it becomes quite normal. I didn’t see any of the tiny defects as a problem; especially for the price! I would, and likely will stay again on my next visit to HCMC which is never soon enough.

this is a new hotel in hcmc and close to the ben thanh market. i booked a city view room but i also saw my friends room which had no windows. if you want to save a few bucks it's better to book the no window room because it's the same size. i have to say that the hotel staff here is very good and professional. very friendly folks working there who deserve a raise. there is no gym as pictured on thru agoda so don't know what's up with that.

Best Value Hotel in HCMC ive stayed at so far !!! . After checking out reviews i picked this Hotel to stay at for the last 2 days of our holiday as our melbourne flight leaves at 9.00pm we generally book to have a base until early evening so i was looking for a more modestly priced hotel to stay the last nights . This trip we chose to stay in some of Classic Hotels in the 5 star range at HCMC ,HOI An ,Hue. i was expecting a good to mediocre hotel however The Grand Silverland Hotel & Spa is now at the top of my list ticking all the boxes From arrival to departure i was totally impressed The hotel staff and managers are excellent well trained and very helpful , Taking care of things like airport transfers and phoning checking airline reservations recommending shops that actually can supply your needs . The fastest and easiest check in ever ( They actually take you to your room to complete check in which is great for weary travelers ) Room - Silverland Suite was well appointed clean and had a multi function Jacuzzi portal Location is perfect a few steps from the market and all the sights of district 1 Roof top pool and bar small but fantastic Great spa and massage. Great Breakfast Really the best value for money . Five star service at 3.5 star prices Wish we were still there !!

I found this hotel on Agoda. It look really nice and have great reviews, so we thought to give it a try. When we arrived at the door, I wasn't sure we were at the right place at first as I only saw a restaurant name at the door... When I got off the taxi to look up, then I see the hotel name. I walked inside the restaurant to ask. The pleasant staff helped me with my luggages and showed me to the front desk area. The hotel was renovated recently so everything are pretty new! When we waited for check in, we were greeted with welcome drinks and fruits! The room was not very big but was cozy enough. The most important thing is that it was really clean and tidy!!! There was a wide choice for the complimentary breakfast for both Vietnamese and Western style. The food is actually quite good. We had a little trouble with the wifi in our room and the hotel staff was very helpful and swift to help with the problem. All the staffs in the hotel, from house cleaning to repairman to restaurant staffs, are super pleasant, friendly and helpful. I would recommend CCentral to anyone visiting HCMC and I would definitely stay here again on my next trip there!!!!

Harmony Saigon hotel had everything one could expect in a 4 star hotel -- elegant lobby, modern guest room, quality facilities, tasty food, and good location. However, what impressed me most was the considerate and professional hotel staff. It was on the second day of our stay when my wife suffered a sudden vertigo and vomiting during breakfast. As a tourist who didn't understand a single word of Vietnamese, I could only seek for the help of restaurant manager. Without any hesitation, the manager called reception to arrange transportation and contact an international hospital immediately. When he escorted us to the lobby, a cab was already waiting for us. Upon arriving at hospital, my wife was attended by a doctor immediately, thanks to the pre-registration by another hotel staff. Fortunately, after a few hours' checkup and infusion, my wife was confirmed no big issue and released home. Surprisingly, the same staff was still waiting outside for us. My heart was really touched at that moment. When we reached hotel, the general manager gave us a warm greeting, and a restaurant staff delivered porridge to our room. My wife recovered fast and we had a pleasant trip in the following days. Before checking out the hotel, we reminded the reception staff to settle the bill incurred by the emergency. I was surprised again when he told me all the cost had been waived by the general manager. I have stayed at about twenty 4 or 5-star hotels worldwide. The experience at Harmony Saigon Hotel was unique and well beyond my expectation. I would like to express my hearted appreciation to the hotel staff and wish them all the best.
