Upon checking in I alerted the staff I would be checking in late. They were alerted and knew who I was when I showed up. The check I process Which meant no extra stops waiting for other people. was simple and they guided me through the condo style securtity and high-tech elevators- only one stop per ride...The room was large- much larger than any normal hotel room and the kitchen was big enough where I could have cooked at home. Honestly, it felt like a home away from home. The washing machines saved on sending out for clothes cleaning, the kitchen saved on eating out... The comfort of the room made it a great place to get work done while still being comfortable... Only problem was there was an extra cost for Internet (except in the lobby where it was free). Overall the nicest place for me to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Booked through agoda and had to check out early due to business. Lost two nights rent. If booking straight through the hotel - was told they would have refunded.

I have stayed at many hotels in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam but I have great experience on Aristo Saigon Hotel. Being a new hotel, the room is very clean and spacious with very nice decoration and layout. All staffs are very friendly. Receptionists are very helpful. Buffet breakfast has a wide variety of Asian and Western cuisines. Airport pick-up and drop-off services are excellent. Fitness center and sauna are well equipped and clean. I am sure that I will come back to this hotel next time. I will bring my customers to this hotel as well.

Everything about this hotel is 5-star or first class. The hotel is newly built and very fresh and the decoration of this hotel is truly lovely from the lobby to roof top lounge area. The breakfast buffet is to die for and one of the best ones we have ever had. The staff is very service minded and well trained and rooms are clean and have all that you need and really comfortably beds especially considered been in Vietnam. During our stay the where some mistakes ordering at the pool bar and breakfast but it is understandable since this place is new and it takes some time to make everything nice and smooth. We could highly recommend this place and if we are back in Ho Chi Minh City we would definitely stay here again.

Loved the stay!! Though not really walking distance to Ho Chi Minh's attractions? Its only a very short drive by taxi. Closed to all other good food restaurants and market is a big plus! Staff made us welcome and were extremely polite with smiles always! A "rare" thing in hotels in vietnam (?!?) much better than many other places in Ho chi minh city we have been to!! Room was huge and very comfortable I have no complaint about this hotel. Will def back next time and I do recommend to everyone

Truly a superb experience , from the airport pickup in a black Mercedes with complimentary water to arrival with the reception staff Trung and Anh so friendly and helpful , and the bellhops Khac Phong and Thanh Tu , always there to greet you and open a door , carry something or hail a taxi and make suggestions of places to go. Even the Manager Mr Tran Huu Anh greeted us several times and came to our room personally to have a look at a faulty lock . The rooms are very well appointed and clean , the buffet Breakfast superb and waitresses so friendly and obliging Truly a memorable experience at a reasonable price , would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ho chi Minh City , Superb

Absolut amazing a 4 star hotel with all the services for an 3 star price. Absolutely amazing was the location. there is no better place to stay in Ho chi minh city. perfect. everything is in working distance. Its not cruddy like other places in Ho chi minh city. It’s more elegant and quiet. The Hotel itself is western standard 3-4 star. Even a nice pool on the roof top. OK everything need a bit paint to be perfect but I didn’t care. That’s asia. The breakfast was a Asian European mix. Nothing was missed except the orange juice wasn’t nice, cheap from the can or bottle. This Hotel is absolutely to recommend I will be back for sure I like it

We stayed in "Sonnet Saigon Hotel" at our second visit in Ho Chi Minh City for four nights. At our first time in the city we stayed in the tourists' recommended district, district one. "Sonnet Saigon Hotel" is at district three and we loved the location and the hotel ten times more. It's a short walking distance from district one and it's just next to: the biggest park in the area, very good laundry service ("F5 Laundry", 12/2 Thuong Dinh), little supermarket and two nice restaurants (one local in the building across the street), and second Italian ("Le Crespo restaurant", 63 Thuong Dinh St.) with live music and amazing atmosphere!). The rooms were really nice and super clean, and the staff was lovely. It's a new hotel, hence they have a few small things to work on… But in total, it's definitely a very good hotel.

The hotel is a nice modern hotel, only 5 minutes from the war museum. The breakfast had a good range and the rooms were nice and clean. However, the walls sounded like they were being hammered on when it rained. So if you sleep lightly, it may not be the best for your stay. The biggest negative was at the end of our stay, when the hotel tried to con us with a taxi to the airport. They tried to charge us double the rate of a metred taxi and provide us with a small car which was driven by a friend or relative of the hotel staff. This was not acceptable and I had to argue for my money back and got a separate taxi as a result.

I am overall satisfied with the hotel and its accommodating service. The staffs are friendly and polite, room condition and cleanliness were without any complaint. The hotel is located very close to the Central of Saigon. I would recommend this place for both business and leisure. I have made the right choice and definately choose this hotel again on my next visit to Ho Chi Minh city.

When traveling I always seek out unique experiences. Ma Maison turned out to be a real find! It is located in district 10, about 20 mins from the airport, 15 mins from old center of Ho Chi Minh City. Instead of staying at a typical tourist hotel where most surroundings are somewhat sterile, Ma Maison is embedded in an area where locals live. But it is an oasis with calm energy and quiet nights. Step out from the hotel and you are in the middle of everyday Saigon, such a bustling and high energy city! I was there at night and day and felt 100% safe all the time. The third generation owners converted the building from a residence to a hotel and serve as the best hosts I have ever met on my travels. I feel I welcome as a part of their family and the service was impeccable! The owner was the General Manager at Rex, most famous hotel in the city, and has used his experience to create something very special. Subtle, friendly, soft energy, a haven to retreat to after an intense day in HCMC!

This hotel was well situated and there were many restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and although being next to a main road they were also quiet. The receptionists were extremely helpful and tried their best to help you with booking taxis and for giving sightseeing advice or directions. You could exchange currency within the hotel. The breakfast was disappointing and there was a very limited choice. However, for the cost of the rooms what do you expect. There was a good choice of English TV. There was a massage parlour and Karaoke bar within the hotel which at night seemed to be busy with wealthy clientele from outside of the hotel. Overall, it was a fairly good hotel and fit for purpose. I probably would stay there again when I go back to HCMC.

Booked the Lotus Saigon Hotel as it came up on Google Maps as being pretty close to the Royal Thai Embassy where i needed to go for a Visa for Thailand Booked the Hotel on Agoda, Mid Price range i guess, but was interested in its location rather than anything else, whilst booking the hotel i took advantage of the Taxi from Airport to Hotel offer at $18 Took the evening flight from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh, try and book a seat near the front so you can get to the immigration booths before the lines get huge :) With a UK Passport did not need any Visa, so straight through quickly, as promised on the Taxi booking as soon as we exited the terminal there was a name board showing for me, made my way across and they brought my taxi to me within 5 minutes Made our way through the evening traffic (chaos) to the Hotel, maybe 30 minutes As the booking was prepaid all they wanted to see was the credit card used, we were booked in really quickly, given our room key and breakfast vouchers

For the bedsheet, really need to wash properly or change it if there a big stain. We requested change our bedsheet at night, due to a big yellow and black stain on the bedsheet *FELT ITCHY*! We spoke to one of the reception guy, he informed us housekeeping off duty but he still will send new bedsheet to us then we need change it by ourselves. But when he came to our room, we insist request him to change the bedsheet for us. New bedsheet still have big stain, but we’re too tired after travelling from Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh. Other than bedsheet problem, everything is good!

The Citadines Regency. If you are considering travelling to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) then I can recommend this new hotel (8 months) Citadines, a French word for "city-dweller. Located in a very convenient / quiet district3 which is primarily a financial area and within walking distance of the War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon, and the old American Embassy. This hotel offers many various types of rooms/studios/apartments, so ideal for long-term stays also. A 15M pool and an additional smaller one on the roof, with a Sauna and changing rooms/showers. A well equipped GYM also on the 12th floor and a self-service laundry with washers and driers. There is also of course a traditional laundry service. The rooms are well equipped with Iron/Board, Fridge, Kettle and free coffee sachets and powered milk. A good size safe for laptops/iPads. Same with the bathrooms, which have large showers. Very unusual and very useful a water heater switch. This allows you to heat up your own water.

you can get to this hotel by taking bus 152 from tan son nhat international airport. the bus is in white and blue color, just cross the road when you step out of the terminal. this hotel is on nguyen thi minh khai street, near the crossroad with cach mang thang 8 street, so you can tell the driver that you want to alight at nguyen thi minh khai street, he will drop you somewhere near the crossroad, then walk to the hotel, around 400m. traveling by bus is cheap, costs you 4000 vnd. if you travel by taxi, price in 2012 should be around 200 000 vnd, and strictly don't pay more than 300 000 vnd if the taxi driver asks for. the hotel is small but very clean. you can look for food by walking to vo van tan or cao thang street near by. you can travel to district 5, independence palace by taking bus 6. staffs are polite however i'm not sure if they can communicate well in english, since i speak vietnamese to them. you should get a map for you ease of walking.

Pushed back in a small hem, (alley way) not scary at all! this posh hotel is everything I needed for a quiet rest. You don’t hear the noise from the hundreds of motorbike. Yet it’s just about 50 ft from the Main Street, “Cao Thang” the room is small yet posh and cozy. No restaurant, no bellman ... nothing fancy yet it felt like a place you want to come back to after a full day of touristing. Would be staying here again whenever I come back to this part of Vietnam.
