We stayed for 2 nights as I was about to head back to the states. Staff was helpful bringing my luggage in and out from hotel room to taxi. I requested 2 hours extra because my flight is in the evening and we got 1hour, i was grateful for that as most hotels stick to their policy. Room is so clean and smells wonderful. New EVERYTHING 2014. It was a wonderful experience. Beautiful balcony view of the city from the restaurant, on 11th floor. Massage on the 1st floor with gym / free 100k voucher (5usd). I would highly recommend this hotel if you can afford a 4 star or top tiered 3 star, the price is reasonable and also includes breakfast for 2. Although kind of far from Ben Thanh market, taxi would cost from 3-5 dollars. But it's halfway to the Airport from ben thanh as well.

The hotel was nice, the staff don't speak English very well and didn't understand much of what we were saying. I had booked a Deluxe double room (that comes with a view), but they put us in a superior double without a view and a much smaller room. To their credit, they acknowledged the error and gave us complimentary massages and access to the sauna & spa treatments. The dining area is still being completed at the time of this review. Well worth it in the end, but please hire English speaking staff.

this was my second time at Happy Hotel. what brought me back was the ever smiling and friendly staff. hotel came at a cheap price which compared to others, Happy Hotel was fairly good for a 2 Star hotel. the designs of the hotel was better then I expected. clean beds/blankets. the location was rather ideal as there are many road side stalls that operate till late night. and finding food during late nights were never hard. it's just 5 mins drive to the supermarket, and 10 mins to the nearest theatre. after all, it was an awesome hotel. I will def go back there on my next trip.

The staff in this hotel is extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was simple but good. If you want to have additional order, they serve delicious fried rice at a cheaper price in the morning (around 20VND) Room is very big, new set of toiletries were provided everyday. Street food everywhere near the area (around 2 minutes of walking) by taxi: around 15 minutes to downtown, 2 minutes to supermarket, 20 minutes to airport Again, staff = excellent!

There's not a whole lot to do in this neighborhood. I walked across the street and there's no bars, but there is some street food that may be of interest. I booked the Superior Double Bed room which is supposed to be 30 m² but it's actually only 20 m². This is typical embellishment behavior in Ho Chi Minh City. The room itself was decent. I don't see why they need to embellish the room size. I had room 116, which is a bit far from the wifi router in the hallway. Good enough for casual surfing, but not good enough for voice conversations. Room Tip: Don't let them cheat you on the room size.

Location is fantastic hence I choose to stay again. Staffs is friendly, Ngan Kim speak good english and teach me how to use Grabike, Crab car. Taxi fare to airport is now only VND100,000.(US$4.50) Opposite hotel is Hai San 346 which sell live seafoods at very reasonable price. The same restuarant sell fantastic breakfast too. The noodle cost VND35,000. (US$1.60) Lot of cafe near hotel. Do Ho beer garden is just 5 minutes away. Tiger beer cost VND20,000 (US$0.90) This Do Ho beer garden is one of the biggest I seen in HCM. Grabike from hotel to CBT which cost me only VND14,000.(US$0.60)

The best features were: the fancy shower nozzles (though not all were still connected correctly), the neat lighting and TV panel next to the bed, the very clean and elegant interior, the pleasant cafe across the street, and the location, which was down a quieter street but still very close to the Saigon Railway Station. There are bars and restaurants in the area and a supermarket and cinema around the corner. One problem: hall noise can easily be heard in the room. Also, district 1 with its tourist destinations is a taxi ride away, of course (this neighborhood is essentially all locals).

This hotel in repairing, I went there with 2 little kids and asked for somebody help us to bring our luggages to the room. But they weren’t friendly and the guy didn’t want to do . He put our luggages into the elevator and left. We had to take over everything eventhough my kids was crying. The room has no telephone, you can’t contact to receptionist, the balcony is unsafe , it’s easy to fall off , the back door doesn’t have a inside lock so your kids can open the door anytime to the balcony. We tried to reach the front desk many times but couldn’t. Finally I asked to changed to another room after 1 night couldn’t sleep ( because my 2 kids are so active and they didn’t sleep ) . Another room was old and not clean , have no fridge, tv can’t use ... the best thing there was it’s safe . My kids couldn’t run out. Many mosquito at night time, WiFi couldn’t connected . Terrible hotel .

Minh Chau Hotel is located in an ideal part of Ho Chi Minh City. Far from the noise of the main streets, it is still relatively cheap to take a taxi down to the city's central at approximately USD$3. Looking from the outside, it has an unassuming facade which contributes to the homely feeling it gives when you walk in. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and although they may not be able to converse fluently in English, the hotel Manager, Manager, is always available to help when needed. When we arrived at Minh Chau Hotel, she was able to give us a list of things to do within Ho Chi Minh City and even a host of places to visit in our remaining days there. On one of the nights when we had returned, my partner felt nauseous and had a really troubling stomach ache. Manager offered to take us to the hospital, even giving us a choice between a local's hospital and a foreigner's hospital. The most telling sign of her willingness to help was when we decided at 11pm to take a bus to another city at 7am the next morning.Manager went out of her way by contacting her friend and in that way, secured a seat for us. Despite the language gap, the staff never seem to get frustrated or lose patience when we ask them for something. Having woken one of them up in the middle of the night, that staff member seemed more than happy to help us. For a cheap and nice hotel far from the noise of the main roads, Minh Chau Hotel is definitely a wonderful place to stay in. We left Ho Chi Mionh City thinking that if we ever wanted to return, we would definitely go back to Minh Chau Hotel.

very nice hotel , great location ( not far from hotel to business center in district 1) .the staffs are very attentive , I definitely will come back stay this hotel on my next trip , the room which was I booked very nice , plenty space for me to put my loads of luggages , reasonable price , I will recommend this hotel to all my friends who s wish to travel to hochiminh city , viet nam ....see u soon V&M Hotel ....

The hotel is quite fine for business travellers who required a good rest at night after work. There are no fancy facilities like swimming pool or gym. One thing that is peculiar to this hotel is you need to keep the hotel door open if you need the housekeepers to house keep your room. Which, to me, is not safe and defeat the purpose of a "Do not disturb" sign. If you do not keep your room open, they will never clean your room. Alternatively, you can close the door and ask the receptionist to get the housekeepers to clean your room.

We loved this place because of its location, not touristy and very interesting alley ways and yummy street food. The family were very kind. Looked after our bags while we travelled else where for no charge. The room wasn't the cleanest, but we were fine with that because the other things are more important to us: location, people, street food etc. we would recommend this place if you want to escape touristy areas but still be located centrally!

I've done a fair bit of travelling around Asia and this hotel has to be one of the best ones I have stayed at. It isn't a place for everyone due to the fact that it is located in an area where you won't find many English speaking people, locals or tourists. There are lots of places to eat, some cheap and some a little more pricey. It will cost you about 50 VND to take a taxi to District 1 tourist area. I walked it myself lots of times instead of taking a taxi but it is a 40 minute walk. The rooms are large and the bathroom is great and even has hot water to the basin. There is a disco bar just around the corner from the hotel and if you are at the front of the hotel you will hear the music a little but it ends at 12:30 anyway. I know that I enjoyed my stay of 12 days there and I will definitely stay there on my next trip to Saigon.

I was a bit surprise as me and my friend booked 2 room (online stated VIP room ) for sunflower hotel & spa which is unit 285 but when we arrived we were directed to 283 instead, (Sunflower hotel ) We were given 2 different room size and different level even though we book the same type of room, i was lucky to get a more spacious one, room condition is acceptable for the price, staff consider friendly & helpful, whenever we need taxi, they will get it immediately for us, nearby hotel have cafe restaurants and not far off also have foot massage outlet. nice place to go around. will consider going back especially the room 502 which have a jaccuzzi tub in the toilet

Good facility, clean but noisy room (construction upstairs that start at 7am!) And after booking, staying one night, staff had asked me to pay more the next nights because the room I was admitted to was on a "higher floor" therefore "higher price" which was not disclosed to me by Agoda at the time of booking. Was then switched to a lower floor which I was later informed is a room sometimes booked for "short time" stays (District 10 neighborhood full of "short time love" hotels LoL) The staff spoke little English but didn't seem to really understand my concerns. To staff's credit they tried to remedy by putting an air filter in the new room. I've stayed in many hotels in the Southeast Asia region in other countries. However at this hotel, I will not stay again.
