i booked a club room for a 3 night stay. arrived at the airport, and free transfer to the hotel via their own shuttle bus was very smooth and easy (same on return). check in: directed to "vip check in room" - which was an absolute shambles. not especially attractive, crowded, forced to queue like in a cheap supermarket cafe line, then confusion about my booking (...i booked a club room for a 3 night stay. arrived at the airport, and free transfer to the hotel via their own shuttle bus was very smooth and easy (same on return). check in: directed to "vip check in room" - which was an absolute shambles. not especially attractive, crowded, forced to queue like in a cheap supermarket cafe line, then confusion about my booking (mainly related to the check-in guy's poor ability with english). it was all hopeless, and detracted from an otherwise nice stay. compared to how other top hotels handle their "vip" or club guests, this one rated a 1 out of 10. room was great. big room, huge bathroom, stunning sea view. it even had a narrow full-length balcony. all facilities in room, very clean and very comfortable, as one would expect. tv also used for exploring hotel facilities etc etc - including account review. the tv part worked well, the other functions were often hard to access, very slow, or just didn't work. rooftop pool (57th floor) has to be seen and experienced to be believed. it gets very crowded during the day. other areas on roof (club lounge, park, restaurants, viewing platform), all very nicely done. stunning views of city or ocean absolutely everywhere. the food in the club lounge was superb. had breakfast, afternoon tea and then 'cocktails' (i drank champagne for the two hours!) and the range of food and drink, outstanding. service, from the wonderful staff, was absolutely outstanding. i found the staff throughout the hotel (apart from check in), all superb. they even had an uncanny ability to remember one's name. beyond all this, there is the shopping centre, the bayside attractions, the tree park at the back, the mrt station under the hotel......it really is a total "destination". i think the planners and designers have probably achieved what they set out to do - build a complete destination from which, for a short stay like mine, you never really need to leave, because there is so much to

I have returned to the Marina Mandarin (the sister hotel is just two buildings away) as all in all I think it's the best hotel in Singapore for my needs. It is a genuine 5 star hotel while maybe being not as swanky as the Shangrila or as well known as Raffles but at 250 dollars a night is better value than either and I love Suntec City for shopping and eating. The hotel has everything you need and although I moved form a 4 star very good hotel the night before into the MM the difference was massive. The staff here are the quickest ever! A jug of fresh Milk in my room took 2 minutes - no charge. In the Waldorf in New York it took 4 phone calls 40 minutes and a room service bill for $18 - which didn't pay! No I love Singapore and I love the Marina Mandarin.

We were offered to experience at their new hotel Fullerton Bay Hotel and they take us there with luxury car & MPV. When we arrive at the entrance of the hotel, we were warmly greeted by the front door staff and of our luggage they ask us not to worry about that...First of all, we were treated like VIP, everything is VIP service from the receptions, dining area and so on. We were offered to experience at their new hotel Fullerton Bay Hotel and they take us there with luxury car & MPV. When we arrive at the entrance of the hotel, we were warmly greeted by the front door staff and of our luggage they ask us not to worry about that, it will be sent directly to our room. When we checked in, the front desk staff is very friendly and greeted us with a very warm welcome smile. After checking in, they even offer us to show us around the hotel and all the other facilities the hotel has. When we went inside our room, we were very amazed with the view of our hotel, it is right in front of Marina Bay Sand building and at night time we can just sit down in front of the balcony and watch the light and music show. All the facilities in the hotel is great, you can soaked in the bathtub watching TV in front of you and in the meantime you can have a outside view of MBS. Then we have a wide selection of english tea and superb coffee bean for you to brew it yourself. Of course we did request for a baby cot and the moment when we came in after we went out for a quick walk, the baby cot is there already. The kids love the hotel so much and enjoy it very much. Then in the morning where we have the breakfast, we were also greeted warmly by the staff. Food selection is just nice, you have Asians, Western & Indian cuisine. All the food were well display and the food is above average. They also serve you nice coffee and tea and also fruit juice where you can order from the counter. Also from the kitchen, you can also order pan cakes, waffles and others which we can;t remember all of them. We have the best waffles ever at the hotel. YES! we definitely will come back to stay at this hotel again and highly recommend to everyone to stay here at Fullerton Bay Hotel.

Though the staff said that I would have to pay an additional amount to upgrade for the view, they gave me a complimentary upgrade to a room which faced it. Staffs attended my several requests (ice bucket, baby cot, wine glasses, heat up packed food, etc) very fast, actually one of the the most fast and attentive among all the hotels I stayed (considering I've stayed over almost all 5-stars in Singapore). I was always addressed my name and this is a nice personal touch I really appreciate. Room is not huge as I imagined, although it's said to be 63 sqm, most of the space is kinda 'wasted' in bathroom - the bathroom is at least 20 sqm large! Not a complaint because I enjoy huge bathrooms but this will probably help other visitors set their baseline. Cleanness is very good. Bed is as high/comfort as other Conrad hotel standard. TV in the hall is huge and there's another smaller TV in the room. Channel selection is good with 40+ channnels but most of them don't have a clear reception - I would suggest the management subscribe to HD channels instead as the normal signals don't really look good on huge TVs. Furniture/appliances are old and need an upgrade asap. Come on, it's 21st century and which else 5-star hotel needs me to manually wind down the curtain? This suite even has 7 pieces of curtain and another 7 pcs of blind! Executive lounge is good. Food and drinks (alchoholic drinks included) are provided daily from 6.30am till 11pm. Visitors can enjoy free wifi at lounge, not sure of the quality tho as I'm local and has 4G in my phone.

One has to compare hotels and prices in area like the Pan pacific and Conrad situated close by in 5 star category and the St Regis also in '6 star' range where private butlers are allocated and all is still fresh and new as competitors.

Seriously, I'd kidnap the chefs and lock them in my basement and force them too cook the Fullerton Bay breakfast menu for me everyday for the rest of their life. PLEASE HAVE THE CROISSANT. Best croissant ever. The bed? Dont make me start on the bed. They have a vast selections of pillows, and goddamn, the pillows! I swear they're made of baby angels' butts. The sheets are so soft they have got to be made from the skin of those baby angels, too. The only downside is the price and the room availability. They never have enough rooms so you need to book way in advance for peak season. The price is definitely way up there but damn Fullerton Bay take my money!!!

The hotel is located some 20min/20SGD (£1 = approx 2SGD, better rate in Singapore than in London) from the airport (with taxi standards as similar to those in London) and the reception was very efficient in checking me in. They even checked on me if the room was quiet enough as requested; despite being too tired to change the room they convinced me to move to the 28th floor, 2812 with the trendiest room I have ever seen: lots of mirrors in the large bathroom with a very cool shower, also a bath to relax after the long day, huge bed and those amazing views stretching from the Flyer and Sand’s Bay hotel to the towers of the City. Kettle and free bottles of water: now officially I have the most unused travelling mini kettle in the world. Negatives: 1. The only thing I can think of was the noise coming from the road outside but rather than counting sheep I induced myself into thinking it was a big artesian. After all, I was sleeping every night with those amazing views, plus lots of other people in the Mandarin opposite were having to put up with much more than me. 2. I wish I was able to turn the taps in the bath with my toes just the way I do it home: just kidding. The permanent smile on my face told me I could not ask for anything more. The hotel brought everything to perfection: from the happy and I hope sincere receptionist and Concierge to the House Keeping or Executive Floor which allowed me to relax in their Guest Room (after checking out) for some 90min, have a bath after the best Foot massage I had at Kenco spa and refresh before my long flight to London (after using their PC free to check in for my flight) Tips: 1. I found the buildings that house the Singapore Art Museum and National museum of Singapore more interesting than the exhibitions, however the Asian Civilisation Museum was very brilliant 2.
