"We loved the Tea Bungalow. It's a restored house or mansion and they did an incredible job restoring it and turning it into a hotel. When we arrived the staff was quite friendly and gave us the most delicious watermelon juice while we were waiting. I knew then that this was going to be a great hotel. Our room was huge and the decor and atmosphere was among some of the best I've ever experienced in India. The bathroom was also clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and knowledge about Ft. Cochin and answered any questions we had. The hotel is within walking distance of many of the main sites in Ft. Cochin such as the Chinese fishing nets and the shopping area. Every morning we had breakfast which consisted of fresh fruits and eggs or an omelette, coffee and juice. We also ate dinner there a couple of nights and the dinner was also quite good and was a bit more varied than the breakfast, but I am certainly not complaining about the breakfast. We didn't have a chance to use the pool because it was raining a lot while we were there, but it looked nice. The staff also let me use the computer (for free) to print out our plane tickets and I thought that was quite kind. The receptionist also ordered a taxi for our trip to the airport, which was helpful. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely stay here again. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. "

"We were a family of 4 (2 adults& 2 kids aged 17 & 8). We booked in for a stay at the property for 4 days. We decided that it would be best to have 2 rooms so that we could ensure a relaxed stay. Our only request at the time of booking was that the rooms be preferably interconnected..was given due preference. We were in fact looking forward to a nice unwinding stay at FNR. The property is located in Fort Koch which is a cool 15km away from the bustle of Ernakulam town. Fort Kochi is famed for a number of tourist attractions and this property is within acceptable distance from themajor attractions like theJewish synagogue, Jew town, the old palace museum, Chinese fishing nets, lots of quaint shops that sell antiques etc. If you prefer to shop a lot, it may be better to stay in Ernakulam town.. It is a sort of a boutique hotel, aged but maintained very well boasting good views of the Bay. Good rooms, good restaurants complimented by excellent and thoroughly professional staff. "

"Being a solo backpacker, my requirement in bed & bath. This place is extraordinary hostel and provides you everything. Please note this place is just 8 months old so it is very new & growing tremendously in terms of quality service. Hostel by sea is in the prime location of Fort Kochi. The property is owned by Cultural Dept - State Govt of Kerala. The bus station located at the right, auto rickshaws rides are available at the gate and cross the road for leisure boat ride & cross island ferry service. The beach and Chinese fishing nets are just a walk away. Every single ship that enters the Kochi port pass through this strait. To the left you will find authentic yummy traditional food. Every single attractions are just a walk apart. Visit: Jew Town, Dutch Palace, Biennale & etc. Facilities: The hostel is well equipped with essential amenities, breakfast will be served upon request (made on previous day). There is a small pantry with storage facilities. The beds are very much comfortable, all the amenities were neat and tidy. The personal locker is provided for each bed was amazing, my big 75Litres backpack seamlessly fit inside the box. Each beds are equipped with electric charging slots which are optimal for all our electric gadgets, all were in proper working conditions. The well-lit beautiful pantry is the happening place, for socializing, chats, songs & music. Service: This property is currently run by two friends & their brothers. Saud is one of them, always with a smile he is the best host here. You name it he make it, they have very good knowledge on local areas. They have suggested me a calm and least populated beautiful beach (puthenthodu beach). They were very friendly, especially if you are solo they give you amazing company. Easy to make a network of friends via these young team. One of them (Sahadab) invited me to his restaurant (Beach bay) near the beach and served delicious sea food. Crowd: Weekends are pretty packed by artist & students. However "
