As the name explained, this hotel located just in front of the USJ front door, the hotel is very nice, room is super clean and the bed is very comfortable, the breakfast buffet has many varieties to select. Just outside the hotel, many specialities shop and restaurants within the short walking distance from the hotel main door, plus the 24 hours Lawson family mart if you need a quick meal in the middle of the night. Another good point is the train station (JR Line) is just 200m away from hotel, this is very useful if you have the flight plan to the international airport. [ Tips : it is just too many option to travel from USJ to Kansai international airport, sometime it is rather confusing, you can check with hotel staff, let them to print a copy of the train schedule] If I am visiting Osaka next time, I will definitely book this hotel again.

I love this hotel! Was scouring the internet for hotels near USJ and came across this gem. It did not have a lot of reviews when I booked it but from the ones that were left, I was hooked. So I booked a 2-night stay for a family holiday and it did not disappoint. One, it is really near Universal City Station (by near I mean adjacent to it). Universal City Walk is a minute walk while Universal Studio Japan is at most a 5-min walk. Since it is really near Universal City Station, going anywhere in Osaka does not take too long. We went to Dotonbori on our 1st night there. Two, it is new (opened in 2017 I think). Three, the room is spacious (I booked a corner room so it might be bias). Four, the staff are really helpful and super friendly. The cherry on top is certainly the Skyspa on the top floor. (For beginners, i.e 1st time traveller to Japan, it is sort of like a hot spring in the hotel. What you do is you go up to the 14th floor, bring the hand towel provided by the hotel and wear the yukata prepared by the hotel. Bathe before you go into the hot spring and bathe again after. One crucial thing is you have to be naked at the soaking area. You can bring the small hand towel with you but do not wet it at the pool. All your belongings must be stored in the lockers provided and this should go without saying that phones and cameras are not allowed in the spa.) No downside to this hotel although if you want to be picky then the breakfast might not suit your palate as it caters mostly to the locals. My family and I love it tho. Another unique thing about the hotel is the amenities are given freely at the lobby, so a little self restraint is advised. In conclusion, this hotel has met my expectations and more. Will definitely stay here again when we come back.

It was our first time in Osaka & in Japan. Miss Kawahira made sure that we were treated well & that we had the best experience at Hotel Universal Port Vita. She personally wrote us a card to wish us a Happy 28th Wedding Anniversary. Miss Kawahira has excellent work ethics, is dedicated to her job and has a welcoming & caring personality. She went out of her way by providing us with clear instructions on how to get from Yokohama to Hotel Universal Port Vita by the Shinkansen train & then to Lake Biwa by the JR train. She recommended us to some areas of interest & even walked us to the pier to catch our boat ride to the Port of Osaka. I hope her manager will recognize Miss Kawahira for a job well done & make sure that she receives the employee of the month award for her outstanding service. This is one of the best hotels we stayed while in Japan. We stayed in a delux triple room which had three single beds and plenty of space. The hotel is new with excellent service. The hotel is connected to JR Bentencho station via a walk way which was easy to find. There is also a Family Mart opposite the hotel. Plenty of restaurants nearby with reasonable prices. We will definitely come back to this hotel the next time we are in Osaka.

Proper price, clear and good room. But the assessment of location depends on your plan. I could use a public bath as well as a personal shower stall in my room. And there are a convenient store, a duty-free store and the Izakaya around the hotel. But if you don't enjoy drinking, many pubs can be drags. This hotel is not that close to the center of Osaka. So whenever you go to some tour spots in Osaka, you have to take a public transport. But from Taisho Station in front of this hotel, going to Kobe is very easy tour.

This is the best hotel i’ve stayed in japan so far. I was in osaka for a business trip and had to be in Intex so the location for me was perfect. If going elsewhere though, you will need to walk to trade ctr mae station which is just 10min away with convenient walkways. The best thing about this hotel was the room. I’m used to small, cranped rooms everytime i visit japan but this was just so spacious. Cleanliness is top notch as well as service. This is japan after all. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would book again if ever i need a convenient location near Intex

Friendly staffs. You can get your teabags and bathroom essentials beside their counters. They have vending machines, microwave oven and coin-operated washing machines on the first floor. Hotel was like a themed place, quite entertaining to look at the decorated walls and lifts. Room and beds are spacious, i booked a standard twin room. The have a 7 eleven right next to hotel which is awesome. A moderate long walk from USJ but it’s a manageable walk for me and my aunt. I like the place and environment in general. The downsides are i found a few stains on the wall, bedsheet and bathtub base. 2 strands of hairs are found on the bed too lol. The washing basin emits a little sewage stench once in a while when you use the tap there. Other than these, the place is quite pleasant.

The stay was extremely comfortable and the location is great! Less than 1 min to a 24 hour convenience store. 2 mins to lots of restaurant from Japanese food, international food and Takayuki! Also located right next to USJ, no extra transport needed and the hotel room is also very quiet. Staff are wonderful too, and my mother loved the onsen. Breakfast buffet was a little expensive but delicious. The only other tiniest problem I had was with the bed cover, for some reason the material was a little itchy, but then again I'm used to all cotton with tons of fabric softener. 4.5/5 star hotel. Definitely want to stay here again!

fantastic location. JR line from kansai airport goes direct to Bentencho,costing only Yen1190 . Porta Inn can be seen from Bentencho station. S Rapid is the fastest. PortaInn is a new hotel. so it is very clean and got friendly staff. Free simple breakfast is good. Enjoyed the japanese rice with condiments and there is nice scrambled egg and sausage. Ask staff for direction to the family run Kyushu Ramen Store. It is directly opposite the Family Mart. Yen650 for a nice tasty bowl of ramen and Yen300 for the nicest gyoza I have tasted in Osaka. I would like to have a bigger mirror.

If you're quite on budget but still want to stay in a hotel that is very near to USJ, this is the best place for you. A few minutes walk and you're there. I love how friendly the staff are. They even help us to get the room we wanted since our agent messed up our booking. The place was accessible to almost all shops and you have variety of choices of food resto. The place was so clean and staff were very accommodating. The only difficulty we had was communication. Not all can speak english so may want to learn to speak a bit of japanese. I would like to stay there again if ever we visit japan again.

Well, I was there for a concert so this hotel is pretty near the venue, just 5 mins walk to the venue. However this hotel is oretty far away from the nearest train station but it's still walkable distance, probably around 15 to 20mins of walk, you can hitch a cab if you want because it's gonna be cheap. Anyway, this hotel is nice by itself, the surroundings outside hotel gets abit dark in the night due to lack of lamp posts around so i wouldn't suggest a single lady to stay here. Oh one last thing, the staffs don't really speak other languages except Japanese.

It's a little off the usual tourist spots but if you're headed to Universal Studios, this place is great for its proximity. The rooms are small but charming, beds are comfortable, sheets are divine and you can even do your laundry on one of the floors! We were only there for 2 nights so didn't get to explore the area nearby much but there're quite a number of convenience stores in vicinity. We also didn't get to try the vinyl players in the rooms, what a shame! Their counter staff was a really friendly guy who spoke good English and was incredibly helpful but never over lingered. We absolutely loved our stay here and we would definitely return! Love the iced latte we ordered at the hotel too!

Good size room, clean and approximately 500 mts away from Osakako Station. The hotel is near Aquarium and Universal Studio. When we arrived the first night, the air conditioner in our room was not working well but they were able to fix it the next day. The staff was not able to help us regarding the 2 day Amazing Pass even though we gave them the brochure in Japanese. So we just search in the internet and ask help from Information Centers in train stations.
