"The staff was so helpful and friendly and I truly felt I had made friends here both wth them and fellow travelers. Rara in particular was special to me and I found her genuine and funny and helpful. Abi also was a big help to me and a nice friend. I felt very at home and many other travelers said they think it is the best hostel. I love the quiet space on second floor with the beanbags, but main floor was great for activities and to meet new people. It is a beautiful hostel and walking distance to Chinatown and also to the old town square and many museums. Only thing I did not like was lockers for bags are at the back of the bed and it is a little hard to access your belongings. Jakarta itself is very busy and the traffic is intimidating but there is always a way. I suggest asking for help for travel just in case the staff can point you in the right direction. Locarasa and Warung Unk are very close by and have good food for a good price. I was very pleased with my stay. "

" My trip to the Majapahitan-city of Jakarta on 11 October 2013 was totally Majapahitan, i.e. everything was well organized. I arrived in the Sukaerno Hatta Airport from Bandar Lampung of Sumatera approximately at 9pm on 11 October 2013. I got on a cab, and headed straight to the hotel, which was 24.3 km away. The route taken by the cab driver had a couple of tolls totaling to about Rp15000. After a 25-minutes-drive we finally arrived at Hotel Rumah Shinta, Jalan Mangga Dua Raya 41, Pinangsia, North Jakarta. The hotel phone number is 0062216905566, and website is http://www.rumahshinta.com/. The hotel is placed right in the middle of the city, i.e. Pusat Kota, and nearby the boarder line between Jakarta Barat and Jakarta Utara. At the check-in counter, I gathered info that the hotel is open for 24 hours, has a lift service for all four floors of the hotel, has a couple of 24-hours-shops nearby and has the Kota Railway station 80 meters away to the right of the hotel. The hotel staff were all smiles trough out my stay there. I left back to Malaysia on 13 October 2013. I'll be sure to return to this hotel on my next trip to the Majapahitan-city of Jakarta ."
