"It is newly developed hotel in Yangon, located next to the Inyar lake , the biggest lake of the Yangon. The view of Inyar lake from the hotel room is panoramic. Since this is new development, the facilities, indoor and outdoor pool, steam, sauna, gym hot and cold tub, are unused and clean. The café at lobby offers another way to enjoy staying there. And the price is considerable cheap for 5 stars hotel. "

"I spoke to a business traveller who told me he has tried most of the 5 star hotels in Yangon (there are only 10!) - he opined that the Melia was the best and I have to say it was clean with friendly and helpful staff. Top tip, don't pay $20/head for the hotel breakfast, the mall next door has an ever increasing number of Western eateries (hard rock cafe opening soon), much better options, or eat out in the town!"

"This is a nice, clean, comfortable place not very close to any major attractions. We picked it as the staging point for our country departure because of the reasonable Agoda price and a location in the north part of town, to avoid excessive traffic when going to the airport. Actually the neighborhoods behind the hotel are quite interesting to see the very simple life of many poorer Yangon residents. A station on the aged circular commuter railway is also nearby, providing a cheap but slow way to get downtown. There are many restaurants around the hotel, but most are of the street food variety oriented towards the locals (no English menus or signs). The hotel restaurant does serve lunch and dinner, with room service being an option. The breakfast buffet is good, and custom eggs are an option. Helpful staff with good English. A good comfortable value with the Agoda discount."
