It's my second time for staying here.The hotel is very comfortable.It's a new hotel.The facilities are great.But I can't open the windows.I felt so cold during my stay.And i didn't need turn on the air-conditioning.The fitness is on the top floor.And I can see all the city during without.My booking didn't include breakfast.But the price is cheap in the capital.The staffs are kindly and helpful.They helped us for keeping luggages.One point make me insatisfied that is the tourism tax.10rm per night.It's so expensive that I don't want go to Malaysia again.

I am a Singaporean and all these while I've only stayed in 4 or 5 star hotel whenever I travel to KL. This time round i went without my family so i was on a budget and decided to gamble on this 3 star hotel. Service is really good and I was very impressed with the room! Nothing like 3 star! Best of all, it's even better than some of the hotels that I've stayed in and a whole lot cheaper! There's free laundry too and breakfast is good! What more can I ask for paying sgd50 plus per night?! Will definitely recommend! I got around by Uber alot but it is walking distance to Berjaya Times Square. We made a mistake by taking Uber from BTS. Waste of money as the taxi driver pretended to not know where to go! Such an ass. One of the advices that I can give is to walk to BTS thn take public transport or Uber straight from the hotel. Cheap and convenient. And when I say Uber, take the one with fixed amount so they can't cheat or play dumb. All the best for ur trip, guys! Stay safe 💕

This is a strange place, so let me give the negative first. The biggest drawback is difficulty finding it with a taxi. Taxi drivers have a bit of a difficulty finding it, so you have to stress "Right by Chan Sow Lin LRT station, in Pudu, Fraser Business Park, right near Ibis Styles Hotel." Eventually, we always got home. Now all the positives. It is really quite a quick ride home from the city center. The location was a big plus for us as we went out every day. But the pool is really fun. Playing on the fourth floor. There are several nice little restaurants in the immediate complex area. Indian and Chinese and Malaysian. Internet was pretty spotty, so it is better to connect with your phone. The gym has some nice bikes, ellipticals, and treadmills. The weight machine is busted, but could be repaired at anytime with a day of work. Once again, the hotel is difficult to find. It is attached to a mall that seemed to have never happened. It is like they built a mall with two hotels and a ton of apartments attached to the side. There is a whole complex there with a couple of schools and some significant business buildings (e.g. one for F&N beverages). And yet the mall is simply empty. Seems that the bottom fell out of the plan and now they are playing the waiting game. In the meantime, the hotel and residence is left to run as best as it can. There did not seem to be a ton of people staying there, but I could also see clear signs of recent and ongoing renovation, so it is certainly not as if management is letting it go to rot. I just hope they fix the weight machine before our next visit.

What I like : 1. This is the first time that I stay in 3 stars hotel has lift key. Normally this standard is for 4 stars & above. I like this & will be back this hotel because of this only. 2. Big room, big bathroom & big window. I stayed in superior room & clean 3. Very friendly & helpful staffs, 4. Location is great. What I don't like : 1. Mattress is very bad. Every morning, when I woke up, my back was very tired. Could not sleep well with this mattress. 2. No iron in room. 3. No scale in hotel, I really dont understand why don't a big hotel have scale. This is what travellers always need. 4. Too little hanger. There are only 4 pcs / room. Can not ask extra because this is standard for each room. No more. Really unhappy for this. I almost stayed at this hotel 1 week, but only 4 hangers , very un-convenience. If 1 or 2 days, its ok. If for long stay, how can be enough ?

New, modern, clean, rooms of good size for a 3-and-a-half star hotel, comfortable beds & pillows, fridge, safe, hairdryer, toothbrush sets, usual toiletries provided, good wifi, breakfast provided, caring staff at s'treats cafe (breakfast area):Jay & his team of staff, lobby with nice nerve-soothing fragrance,5-min fully-sheltered walk to Chan Sow Lin metro station, 3-stop away from Imbi station/Bt Bintang area with one change at Hang Tuah, two 7-elevens within walking distance, numerous reasonably-priced eateries around the hotel & the list goes on & on. The hotel charges extra for city view, we went for it. No regrets, though not that stunning, it was a better view than the non-city one. Personal preference, u may find the non-city view equally acceptable. We lied down on the sattee by the window & enjoyed the view, sunset & night view. If u are looking for hot breakfast, the dishes served here were rather cold. Please note that hotel is located next to a near-vacant mall.

We booked a family suite for 4 pax and surprisingly on the actual day was given a complimentary 2 separate rooms from the staff Mr. Azman with the same price. The rooms were very cleaned considering the hotel being there for the past 3 years which shows the management & housekeeping staff were really taking care of the cleanliness of the rooms. Aircon & water pressure were equally very good. Location wise was just satisfactory with the LRT just behind the hotel whilst our car was parked really secured in a gated-compound as security officer made sure our vehicle is really safe but the parking lots are limited to 4 vehicle at any one time however there were parking lots at back lane which are mostly occupied during the day and parking lots were readily available after 10pm. For a reasonable price per room of a 2-star hotel, the security aspects at this hotel were much more better than some of the 4 or 5 star hotels. For food lovers, there many restaurants surrounding the hotel with just a walking distance with both Chinese & Indian Muslim food. Bukit Bintang area could be reached with just 2 LRT stations away where there are many shopping centres for you to shop. Overall we'are fully satisfied. Would come back again if opportunity arises.

i arrived in the hotel pretty late, around 8pm and we all very tired and having some problems with the booking, but the receptions girl name fisa is very nice and helpful, even she let us get into the room and gave us a upgread to the nice room than what we booked..the breakfast buffet is nice with plenty of foods and snack and hot and cold drinks, very nice budget hotel in center city with nice service and tasty breakfast..would come back again..!! thanks d'garden hotel..keep up the good price and service

My stay with my mom was great. After my exam I went in KL and stayed in hotel maluri. The place was clean, staffs were all warm and friendly. The room has free wifi, compliment water and coffee, TV, A/C, almost all that you'll need. There is an initial deposit of RM 100 upon check in, which they will return in full upon check-out if you did not use the other services. Whenever we need something, they will respond to it at once. You can feel they are sincere to be of service. It is very near the city center. They will also call for a cab if you want to roam the city, you'll just have sit down and relax in the lobby. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of menu and they taste excellent as well.

Definitely one of the best hotel i ever stayed in Kuala Lumpur. it is located some minute walk away from Times Square, so you gotta becareful if you are to walk back hotel late at night. However the hotel itself, although from outlook it looks not so attractive, however internally it is splendid. It has different themed room, and it is sooooo nice to stay. The bedroom is spacious, as well as the bathroom. And the breakfast, it is not just simple buffet. The chief will personally come out and ask if you have any special request, and cook for you upon your request. Super satisfy with this hotel. Their service is even better than 5-starred hotel. Definitely will recommend friend and will come back to this hotel for a stay whenever i visit KL.

The price is reasonable. I have been staying in the other hotel near China Town under the same group . Both hotels are in good rate for budget traveller. The location is good for me because I already been staying in Leo Leisure Hotel near China Town . I booked this hotel in pudu for 2 weeks in 2 separate bookings . I don't want to go to downtown to have lots of massage parlour and massage girls. if in downtown hard to control myself . Therefore I book one more week before I fly to Hanoi . The hotel room is bigger than the one in china town and both hotels rooms are clean . In here breakfast is provided although not many choices but compare with the price . It is acceptable. Also mini bar is provided and coffee Tea making facility. The price is not much difference between the one in china town but you get more here. The staff is friendly overall although there is minor problem occurring but the manager Kelvin solved my issues immediately. That's what I expect for the right attitude. Thanks . The facility is acceptable because of the room rate . Nothing to complain. I will definitely staying here next year when I come to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and also letting my friends know the place .

Wifi good . Mobile phone signal good. Last time took a garden room - quiet & comfy This time a room facing main room - windows sound-proofed ! That's a good design for a boutique hotel . Friendly staff. Rooms are clean. Bathrooms good size . The bed is the star - very comfortable. Location - edge of city . Current operating station is about 800m away . Heard 2 new stations coming up nearby . Easy to take taxi & uber from hotel

Exceptionally clean, fresh interior. Free water which was a big plus. Close to LRT station,bus hub and mall. Well thought out room design and decoration is modern. Couldn't ask for a better city hotel. Hair dryer upon request, helpful reception staff. Kept our bags for us at the end for a day. Toilet in reception clean and big enough to change in. Free wifi. Rainfall shower was good. Daily room cleaning is excellent. Room dark and quiet at night, no road noise. Breakfast was great, clean and fresh. Loads of selection. Would recommend and would stay again.

I've late on booking my rooms at this hotel. When I arrived, the rooms that I booked already occupied but the best thing is the hotel management upgrade my booking room with no additional charge. The location is nice as only take 1-minutes driving to reach IKEA Cheras. Fully recommended to others shopping travellers. Will be back again someday. Kuddos to Sakura Boutique Hotel's team.

The area may seems a little filthy nothing special from building look outside ..but for about $ 30 per night for room for 3 people (even they give me 4 people bedroom) it was best deal, they have clean room,clean bed, clean amenities (they give soap,shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush and even breakfast (fried rice, fried noodles, boiling eggs, bread with jam , watermelon, orange drink, water and instant coffee)...and they even help with bellboy to carry luggages and friendly staffs. Compare to my hotel in ipoh (which dirty so many hairs when I wasjust checked in and more expensive without breakfast nor amenities) . its good deal for budget hotel..just abit noise as the wall is thin so u can hear people next door tv a bit but cant complain more for only $10 a night

I stayed here for 4 days and 3 night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room and toilet is very clean. However, during my stay i need to tell the receptionist to clean my room. They will only come when we request. Not like other hotel, where they will clean our room everyday. And the pillow they provide is only two pillow and the pillow itself is not soft, it hard pillow. Moreover the parking in the morning is hard to get since the area is near with the office such as maybank hq office. They will park in front of the hotel. It took me an hour to park my car.

I had a FANTASTIC stay at this hotel. I traveled solo to KL so I needed something inexpensive, that allowed me easy access into the city. I found it through this hotel. It IS a bit off the beaten path. The surrounding area is mostly apartments and there's a small highway close by. A lot of the businesses in the area tended to be shuttered up or just seemed sketchy. DO NOT let this throw you. Most locals say that no matter where you are in KL, it's best to be in before dark to be safe. I generally ate food or got takeout in central KL so I didn't need to search the area for food. Added Bonus: there's a 7/11 next door with friendly staff. The store has microwave dinners and ramen you can purchase heat up there. There is a subway station about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel and buses that travel along the small highway that you can get on. The journey to the subway is NOT to be taken at night, but I felt relatively comfortable walking to it during the day. The room was immaculate and perfect for someone who just wanted somewhere clean and comfortable to stay. I had access to a TV and Wifi (the latter of which sometimes cut out on me but computers were available in the lobby area as far as I remember). I had a breakfast buffet as part of my stay. Breakfast was very simple - fruit platters, noodles, eggs, etc. I don't like to eat too much in the mornings so it was just right. Finally, the staff. They went above and beyond in every respect. They tried to help me find tours that I wished to go on; assisted me in finding my way around the city; and were just generally friendly and lovely to be around. The hotel has security - I saw at least two guards at any given time patrolling the outside and the inside of the hotel. From what I've seen, this is standard in most hotels in KL and definitely allowed me to rest easy. The hotel will all my basic requirements and was a delight to stay at. Made my last minute trip to Malaysia all the better!

We booked this hotel just for a place to sleep after a tiring long journey. We only stayed for 6 hours. Hotel is clean and above a cafe. Ample parking space at night. Its a new hotel so its clean and comfortable. Near to aeon maluri and lrt maluri. Only problem was that we were travelling with a baby and arrived late at night and when we tried to check in, the staff said d room with double bed that we booked was not available and replaced us with twin bed. We had to manually push the bed close so that our baby wouldnt fall. No lift at the hotel either so avoid bringing large luggage. All in all, its a clean new budget hotel.

I had to kill several roaches when I checked in a few showed up the next day. I only booked here for one night and that turned out to be a good thing because I didn't want to have to deal with that any longer. Everything else about the room was just fine. The room & bedding were clean. The carpeting in the halls is old & dingy but that was no big deal. The staff was courteous. There's an elevator & two computers for guest use. Overall it's a good hotel for the price. The bugs were my only issue, else I probably would have booked more nights.

The Urban Bird Hotel was the perfect choice for a couple of days in KL. On arrival they upgraded me into a Deluxe Queen room. The Deluxe Queens are small but there's enough space for luggage, even for two people it would be fine I suppose. But on that note, it's important to know that the bathrooms are open towards the ceiling. If you're traveling alone that's obviously no problem but when traveling with someone be prepared that there's no way to hide ANYTHING. Otherwise both bathroom and room were perfectly clean and in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable and there are several wall-attached wardrobes and hooks to hang clothes. If you're a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs as there can be noise from the hallway. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the reception is covered 24/7. Also, I felt really safe as the main entrance can only be opened from the outside when ringing the bell and being admitted by the staff. Attached to the hotel is a coffee shop/waffle place attached to it, which is a nice and friendly place. Only thing is, it doesn't open until noon so it's no breakfast option. Location-wise the hotel is about a 5' walk each to Pudu and Imbi station. You can also walk to Bukit Bintang in about 15-20'. During daytime it's very safe in this area, but I don't know about night time. I never walked back to the hotel when it was late but took a Grab car. I can definitely recommend this place and can honestly say it was the best value in Southeast Asia so far.

Overall, quite good. Best one is we can walk very close to the train station. If you plan to use Uber/Grab/Taxi, the location is not too far from the city center as well. Too tired to go out for meals? No worries. The area is surrounded with cheap and good food & drinks. Size of the room was enough for both of us. Comfortable, and worth the price. No bugs on the wall, floor, or bed! Huge Yay! Just need to improve the cleanliness of bed sheets, and since it’s allowed to smoke inside the room, kindly make sure to remove the smell of cigarettes before a new guest comes in the room. Would like to comeback again in my next visit.

The room was really clean and spacious enough. Thumbs up to the spacious bathroom. We were provided with 2 key cards during our stay which was really helping when I went out to top up my junk foods while my husband was sleeping in the room. Convenient stores are within walking distance. 24hours eateries are scattered around the hotel as well. And we ordered foods at 1am and the food delivered to our room free of charge. Feels like staying in 4 stars hotel and paying for one star hotel price. Really satisfied and we were happy customers. Definitely coming back and one of my most favourite hotel so far. Really recommended. The customer service also very helpful when we turned up earlier for checked in. Thumbs up and keep up the good work guys.

april  2012, i and my girlfriend stayed at phoenix hotel for two night. all the staff of phoenix hotel are very friendly since we stepped in the hotel and they provided great level of services even the security guard who will always smile and open the door at main entrance for you to come in or go out from the hotel. the room is very comfortable which provide nice and clean bed and lcd tv with satellite channel like astro and  although the wash room is considered a bit small but out of all the budget hotels this is the best we have seen so far due to it looks very new and clean. all facilities needed  inside the room are completed, and also you may be able to request for other facilities and services like wifi, hair-dryer and etc..from reception. what is amazing to us which is the speed of the wifi connection, it is really fast and steady. although the location of phoenix hotel is a bit far from the pudu lrt station and we need to take about 10min walk to the hotel. we have taken cab to petaling street is only within 10min and it's cost few ringgit only because it is very far if walking to petaling street or even times square. altogether, we have great experience when the time we stayed at phoenix hotel for two night. the prices range for each of the room are reasonable and affordable. there is one of the nice hotel we have experienced. we will consider to have another chance again to stay at phoenix hotel. this experience is value for money and worthwhile. in my opinion, this hotel will be entitled score 9 out of 10.
