Find hotels in Khao Takiab Pier

We booked this hotel because of the free waterpark admission. The waterpark itself was fun and the hotel was new, clean and the staff was friendly. The views from the roof are probably the best in Hua Hin right now. The pool doesn't get a ton of sunlight so it is cold but the view from up there can't be beat. The location is a bit of a tease. There isn't much around it within walking distance although you can see the main strip right across the train tracks. However there is no way to walk over to that strip and you need to take a taxi. There is a 7/11 and a local restaurant across the from the waterpark and there is a big Tesco next to it but in terms of finding a restaurant that isn't at the hotel then a taxi is needed.

Wora Bura is a beautiful hotel with a character. We love the room decor and the rocking chair at the balcony. The staff are all professionally trained and spoke excellent English. The pool size was just right for the development. The direct access to the beach made the walk to the Khao Takiab temple a lovely one. We had a great time at Wora Bura and certainly look forward to returning again.

We spent the week in agony, the beds are as hard as concrete, our backs could not take it. The apartments other than the bed are good, we had a junior suite, it was not exactly like the pictures but it had two bathrooms. Our other main issue was the pool, there were about eight sun beds in total, for about 70 apartments, only two of these were in the sun, ideal for Thais who stay out of the sun but no good for European people who enjoy the sun. The location is good for both Hua Hin and Khao Takiab, but it is near the fly over and a temple which means noise. Getting the room cleaned each day was hit and miss, as the staff did understand very little English, especially if you had a query, such as I did when I arrived, I asked for a mattress topper which they either could not or did not want to understand, I do know that they are readily available in the shops. So to summarise if you like hard beds and do not intend to sunbathe it might be the place for you.

The hotel room is clean and cosy with very big bed which can accommodate up to 4 persons. It is located very near the Cicada market and accessible to Khao Takiab by their bus. However, in the event of heavy rain, the hotel area (and corridor) gets very wet. And as we were staying in the corner unit, the splashing of the rain water even caused our room to be wet. But hotel staff were fast enough to help clear and dry the area for us. Breakfast was not too bad either.

Got the 2BR apartment at Agoda at a promotion rate. Not easy to find the place as the name of the development is in Thai and the English name is not obvious. Most drivers do not seem to know where the development is. Apartment is of a very good cleanliness standard and our family of 2 elderly, 3 adults and a 2-year-old boy had a comfortable stay with our helper taking the sofa. Toilets, towels and beddings were very clean. Water pressure is good and water heater was working well. The free WiFi is good. TV was not working well but the staff reacted fast and helped us to tune it. Location is a bit far from the town. Around 20, 30mins with transport to town? The concierge could help with the arrangement of transport. The beach is not exactly near but we had a nice 20mins walk to the beach in the evening. There isn't really any street food or massage parlours nearby, just a small Family Mart where we bought our bread, butter and cheese for breakfast. Mostly restaurants at the beach area. There is also a restaurant further down towards the town but you need to know which lane to turn into to get to the restaurant. Food is not bad there. The Wat Khao Takiap temple, Cicada, Breeze Spa at Amari Hua Hin are at a good driving distance away.

Small hotel in Khao Takiab area. Our rooms are spacious and clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. There is a small pool, which you cannot really swim. Choices of breakfast are limited, but delicious, cook-to-order and more than enough to fill the empty stomach after a morning run. Highly recommend the hotel if you look for a small, quiet place to lock yourself in for a night or two.

Super new hotel, nice sized rooms with good clean facilities and a great balcony overlooking the pool. No need to book the more expensive poolside rooms, which to be honest do not appear that private. Clean fresh rooms, good parking and nice friendly staff, out of town a little so transport is a must. However a real haven from the noise and chaos of Hua Hin. Fantastic large clean swimming pool which we all enjoyed, especially our 3 year old. Negatives… the builders were in adding a smallish extension, noise was a bit annoying but not excessive. More annoying were the ornamental sea shells they have hanging over every balcony. They do look pretty but in the wind they crash against the balcony railings and believe me the noise is horrible and a quiet nights sleep was not possible. On windless days not a problem, but we stayed 5 nights and the wind was strong.. It wouldn't take a day just to raise the hanging so that they did not bang against the railings. We did complain but got the Thai shrug and nothing was done, seems petty but it really spoilt our stay and I am surprised management don't act. Other negative not one single English speaking channel on the TV. We would stay

Very quiet and so very unassuming from the main st . But if your looking for a nice friendly small quiet hotel , i cant speak highly enough of this place , great rates and friendly staff (Tom) hotel owner . Everything has been well planned and thought of here and nothing is a strees for the onwer , a close walk to the beach and Cicada night market , guest parking and a quiet courtyard garden . And a mini courtyard on the back door for clothes drying and washing etc . My only disapointment here was that i did not book for longer , now i can see why he books out so easily most days . Great Hotel !!!!!

The Samai house is not really a hotel, its more like a guest house and better for a long term stay. If you visit Hua Hin just for a few days I would recommend to choose a hotel closer to the city center. The rooms are really nice though, lovely decorated and comfortable. Since this guesthouse has only 4 rooms the breakfast will be prepared fresh for each guest. So you will have to wait a bit, but its worth it. The room has a tv, but only thai channels. If you want to go to town, you can stop one of the Songthaew (trucks with two benches on the right and left side). Nearby is the Khao Takiap hill. There you will find a very nice beach area with some small restaurants where you can also rent deck chairs to spent a day at the beach (I actually would recommend to go there for the beach because we were really shocked about the main area beach infront of hilton. Its so dirty there). We didnt find the advertised garden. We had to take the breakfast in the lobby, there is a small area for it. All in all I would only recommend this guest house if you dont mind staying a bit outside of town and because of its nice rooms. But its actually too pricy and you can find something more close to city center for the same price.

We stayed here in February, big clean room in the main building. Large balcony with table and chairs for relaxing and some of the most beautiful tile work in the bath room I have seen. The pool and pool area were clean, well maintained and a welcome break. The place is about a kilo from the beach and the bus stop is just outside the door so a quick ride to town is easy. The town has bars and a nice shopping center at a bus stop (Village Market mall). We spoke highly of it at rated it well. We just returned from south Thailand to spend two nights awaiting our flight out of Bangkok and rented a small, lower priced room (1/3 less). The room was small as expected. The room was clean. Now, I had complaints and did go to the manager who offered us a bigger/different room but the room size was no the problem. I had read some other posts and they had poor/bad reviews and we wondered why when our experience was nothing but the best. Well, the bathroom of the small room was stained with black mold on the ceiling, backside of the door and some on the walls, that's why I mentioned it to the manager. Second, the blanket was just that, a polyester/fake wool, old and scruffy (and no cover or sheet). This was the first time I had seen that in Asia, every place we have stayed (in 90 days) provided a comforter with a cover. The earlier room we had rented here had one too so why did they have this blanket in a cheaper room? SO, LOOK AT THE ROOM BEFORE YOU AGREE TO IT, specifically the bathroom. If you see a blanket, tell them you want a comforter for comforts and hygienic reasons. If you see black mold, get another room. We think this a great place to unwind after a frantic week in Bangkok.

I have been going to Hua Hin monthly for nearly a year, and i took a chance staying ar HK as they had no review ratings yet on Agoda. Not only is the staff delightful, the rooms lovely, the location superb (very close to the beach and Cicada Market), but the food is fantastic - both Thai and Western dishes. The staff went the extra mile in every way... offering me a free ride to the bus station, a free aperitif with dinner, customized and delicious breakfasts and more. They are beyond attentive, speak English fluently and offer excellent insights into the area. The room was clean, with a spacious balcony and discounted well below surrounding rates. I rented the superior balcony room, but the standard rooms were also superb in my opinion. Wifi is strong and complimentary. I know where I will be staying in Hua Hin from now on.... see you at Heaven's Kitchen!
