Hotels near Kintetsu Nara Train Station

Wonderful place to enjoy Nara. Across from JR Nara train station and about 20 minutes walk to Nara Park. When you check in you leave your shoes downstairs and walk on pristine tatami mats everywhere in the hotel. The hot spring is a relaxing respite after a day of exploring the city and shrines. A tasty warm bowl of ramen is complimentary from 9to 11pm. The Japanese breakfast buffet is bountiful and quite a feast! This hotel is a special place to make you really feel like you are in Japan!

This hotel was adjacent to the JR Nara train station and the bus station; so very convenient. Approx. 15-20 minute walk to Nara Park and the deer. A supermarket and a french bakery are 2 minutes away and this was so helpful. We had a room for four people and everyone had a bed...but this left little room for luggage. Other than that the room was clean, great public bath and excellent wifi. Definitely recommend this hotel.

We loved our one night stay in Nara at the Piazza Hotel. It is conveniently located right besides the JR Nara train station, so it's easy to check in and leave your luggage once you arrive and then explore the city. We rather liked walking to Nara park, which is only 20 minutes away through very nice streets, and there are also busses going through the city that can get you to and from the Nara station in a pinch. Moreover, room was beautiful, impeccably clean and super modern with really comfortable beds.

Nara Hotel is everything you would expect from one of the old heritage hotels on the oldest capital of Japan. This year, it celebrates its 110 year and it’s looking every bit as good as it did when it first opened! Think teal and mahogany fittings in a period style hotel with grand tea rooms and silver service restaurants. It’s situated just off the Nara parks which have all the sights within walking distance. The shuttle bus service to the two stations is a nice touch. The hotel shop sells its merchandise and they do have beautiful stuff. Book a room on the old building to get the best experience.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel as it was very close to the Nara train station and there is a very nice supermarket in the train station. You can walk to the major attractions from the hotel and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The room is small, clean and the front desk staff very helpful. My wife and I thought that this hotel was extremely affordable and overall excellent value for our stay in Nara.

My single room is exactly what you get from a standard business hotel setting and it's newer and cleaner! For 3500 yen it's totally worth the deal. The even better bits: location location location. It's only 2 min from the kintetsu Nara station, the numerous bus stops and at the entrance of the Nara park area. There's also the whole shopping street nearby. The nice little izakaya restaurant nearby (Japan, 〒6308266 奈良県奈良市花芝町Hanashibachō, 6番地プラザ花芝101 酒とめし おてんがら) is a recommendation! Nice food and nice owners at cheap price! The staff at oak hostel is very helpful and can speak English well. The 100yen breads breakfast and free coffee are just some minor add ons that make the stay even better! Highly recommended and will definitely stay again when I come back to Nara (which will surely happen sooner rather than later).

This is our 2nd visit after 2 years and it is very very satisfactory. The location is close to Keihan or Kintetsu Line (Sorry could not recall correctly) but it is quite a far distance from JR station. The hotel itself is in a quite area and the surrounding is nice where Kofukuji Temple is just beside the hotel. The staff is very very helpful and speak fluent English just the same as our 1st visit 2 years ago. In future, if there is another trip to Nara. Hotel Pagoda is the only choice i will choose. The room we took was double bed room with Tatami flooring. The best part was the room was the same one as per 2 years ago.

We stayed a couple of nights in Nara and this hotel was a great find. We took the 160 bus from the JR Train Station until the Hanna Horai stop. From there is a 10 minute walk to the hotel. There are a couple of signs to help along the way. Mind you, the bus runs once an hour and the last one leaves the train station before 7 pm. The room was very clean, it smelled of smoke, even though there where non smoking rooms and we had asked for it. There was an aromatherapy lamp in the room so we asked for the essential oil which masked it a bit. The kettle and the microwave where great, as the room has coffee, instant soup and a few more amenities. There are convenience stores and a 24 hours supermarket near the bus stop, as well as a few restaurants. We chose the Japanese breakfast, with egg, salmon, rice, miso soup and salad. From the hotel we walked to the Toshodaiji temple. The reception workers were very nice, although they don't speak much english.

The couple who run Nara Komachi were very friendly and helpful. They both spoke English very well. We arrived in Nara before the 3pm check in but were warmly greeted and allowed to store our luggage so we could start to explore the city, when we returned our luggage was in our room. The room and the common area were immaculate, not a speck of dust. Our double room was small but very efficient, the full table or half the table could be flipped down for more room. My first impression of the toilet was that it was on a raised stage behind a glass door but there was a large shade that could be drawn down for privacy. There is free coffee and tea in the common area that you can have anytime. The bed with the down comforter were exceptionally comfortable. The TV in the room had access to only Japanese stations but the TV in the lobby was always tuned in to CNN. The location was perfect, close to the JR Nara station and 2 bus stops for the Kintetsu station or a short 15 minute walk. There are many restaurants and shops close by especially on the main tourist street to the park. Would definitely recommend Nara Komachi.

The hotel is next to Nara JR Station. It is very convenient to visit Nara Park which is a few minutes bus ride. Since JR Station is also a bus hub, it is also a good point to start a trip to visit other parts of Nara region. There is also a supermarket at the JR station which closes late. The air conditioner has a full function remote controller which is better than other centralized system. The breakfast is fair.

A short walk from the train station and on the street leading up to the park and temples - perfect location. Very quaint atmosphere and clean and tidy. The beds were futons on raised timber platform - super comfy and very pretty. Great bathrooms - simple but large and clean. The location enabled us to walk straight up the road to the park early in the morning and see many of the more popular sites well before anyone else was there. Good check-in, customer service and friendly staff. We had breakfast included in the room - buffet style with loads of options and very tasty. We'd stay there again.
