This was our first time in Surat Thani, on our way to Koh Samui. The hotel is situated a bit on the outskirts of the city, but still in an area with lots of shops and restaurants. Most of the restaurants open late afternoon and are very reasonble priced, offer delicious Thai food. The hotel itself has a nice lobby, the check-in goes smooth, staff are very friendly and accomodating and they also have enough knowledge about traveling to Samui and other islands. The rooms are spacious with an industrial design. Amenities are sufficient, with a watercooker, coffee, tea available. The breakfast is good, with enough choice to get one going for the day. In short, a comfortable pleasant and clean hotel. Only one point can be improved.... I really missed a newschannel in English, such as CNN or BBC world. For the rest, no complaints at all.

After having a disappointing stay in a hotel in Koh Phangan rated 3 stars I was expecting worse. The hotel is simple but clean and it has good taste. The staff is very kind and helpful. It doesn't offer much but what they give you is top class. Good towels and a clean room. You won't get free coffee and tea, just the two bottles of water you get everywhere in Thailand. Anyways I assume most people are just passing by to get somewhere else so it's perfect for that. It's very close to the night market where you can buy cheap authentic Thai food. Also, they will book a taxi to the airport for you if you ask for 350 baht. It was just what I needed and definitely recommend it.

We were on a road trip from Malaysia all the way to Chiang Rai. Suratthani (S Tara) was a stop by for us to put up a night. We booked this room purely based on reviews on Agoda and the room was very cheap! We werent expecting much for the price we paid but we were SURPRISED when we arrived. We reached the hotel at midnight (1am) and the staff actually came out and greet us and helped us with the luggages all the way to the room. Something even 4/5 star hotels might not do at times. Room was decently comfortable, clean and spacious. Air conditioning was a little noisy but i wouldnt complain about that for what its worth. Breakfast was also included in the room price and the variety was decent. All in all, i'd definitely recommend this hotel for budget travellers looking for a decent hotel (best value for money).

We stayed only one night on our way to Koh Samui. The hotel is located 70km away from Racha ferry terminal but we were already very exhausted driving for 10 hrs from Bangkok by the time we got there and needed to rest. The hotel is tucked in a little alley but not that difficult as there is Tesco Lotus on the other side of the road. The hotel is super clean and the female staff at the reception seems genuinely happy to provide good service. The shower, bed etc, everything was GREAT considering what we paid. There is a little local Thai restaurant with picture menu in front of the hotel or you can walk 500 m to Tesco Lotus for dinner. The parking is reasonably spacious. Great stay.

Opened about 1 year ago very new clean place. Quality bedding, sheets etc. Spacious rooms plenty of parking. We had a room with 2 doubles to accomadate our family but the price only included 2 Adults so they charged us an extra ฿370 for our nanny which included breakfast. When we called down for an extra pillow they wanted an additional ฿50 for that. They said the breakfast was an American breakfast, nothing American about it and if I was reviewing based on that they would get 1 out of 5 stars. But as a thai breakfast very typical fresh and clean and it's 3-4 star worthy Over all nice place I would stop again on our way to Koh Samui about 1 hour to the ferry.

i booked this hotel after a last minute flight change, in my haste i only booked for one person, when we got there they said it wasn't a problem i paid an extra $ aud and it was sorted. we only spent one night but the room was large and clean (it even had a lounge suite) the bathroom was spotless and breakfast was fine asian and western choices. the front desk even arranged our bus/ ferry transfer to koh samui, which after 31 hours of traveling we were very grateful for. i really cannot comment on the location as we arrived at night and left early the next morning, all i will say is it seemed to be close to the city.

A stop off on the way down to Had Yai. Brand new hotel with everything pristine. Rooms spacious and everything functional. Plenty of parking. Nice clean swimming pool. A walk about exercise park across the road on the island called Koh Lamphu and an excellent restaurant called Crossroads next door by the river. Even a 7-Eleven and Lotus just outside the hotel. Could not have picked a better place with all the above within 5-minutes walking distance.

We stayed here one night as a stop over before heading out to Koh Phangan. Its a little off the main road and didn't have many restaurants available in close proximity. We ended up grabbing snacks from the convenience store across the street as it was late. The hotel served its purpose. It was clean and comfortable, but nothing special. I couldn't figure out how to make the hot water work in the shower, but I didn't bother to ask. Not all the staff spoke English well, it depended which person was at the desk what service you got. One guy booked the bus/boat combo to the islands which was much appreciated. The company picked us up at the hotel the next day with no problems. There is a little café in the lobby but only seems to operate when the staff want to operate it. We had confusion with ordering breakfast due to language barriers.

Stay was very comfortable. Good reception. However front office staff could not answer in English very basic questions (when does the ferry leave to Koh Samui? - A question that probably EVERY foreign tourist will ask.) Upon checking out I was sent to the wrong bus terminal, even though I speak quite a bit of Thai and showed them the reservation. Overall a good stay though. Just don't expect any frills.

Ideal hotel for transition stay to Koh Samui for those flying-in to Surat Thani via AirAsia. However, locating this hotel would be tough as insufficient signage to hotel, recommended to take taxi from Surat Thani airport to the hotel. Note however that hotel room (exception to Family room) does not have kettle for water boiling and reception/housekeeping do not have extra kettle for loan. Those with young children, consider taking Family room, it's really spacious and decent room for overnight stay before depart to Koh Samui the next day. Central Plaza is walking distance from hotel (~ 1km, 20 minutes walk), note that the shopping center close at 9pm local time. We're surprise that the hotel serve really decent breakfast (noting the 3-star rating), we're more than satisfied to the food served. The hotel staffs are really nice and helpful , however, they are not proficient in English language. Highly recommended hotel for overnight stay before depart to Koh Samui next morning.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night to catch a flight the next day after being stuck on Koh Samui for days with recent flooding and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and the hotel manager needs a special mention - we booked a taxi to the airport but due to the floods it was not possible to get to the airport and he personally came looking for us in the morning to inform us to make alternative arrangements and organised a hotel car to take us to the bus stop free of charge. The restaurant food is delicious and reasonably priced. rooms are spacious and clean. We would defnitely stay at this hotel again on our next visit.

We stay a night at Like Residence before further our trip to Koh Samui at the following day. We booked 2 rooms, it's clean and spacious. The staff are very polite but some of them not understanding English. They serve nice coffee at the Like Cafe. The hotel don't have lift so if travel with elder people or young children, please inform them early to reserve your room at level 1. The hotel located at a quite street, no much shops or restaurant around. Luckily, there's a 7 Eleven nearby, about 5 minutes walk. The room facing main road, if you don't want to be wake up by lorries early in the morning, better bring along your ear plug. There's hardly taxi pass by there but you can get the staff to arrange a taxi going to airport or Donsak pier.

We booked two rooms at this hotel, we had the deluxe and our friends the superior duplex..(we both wanted the superior but there was not enough left). Both rooms for the price to be fair, was spectacular! I think the hotel should be rated higher than 3 stars! I have stopped in "5*" places that where definitely of much lower quality! Our friends room with the gardened balcony, whirlpool bath and spacious contemporary design was particularly impressive. We didnt make breakfast but im sure it would have been great judging on the rest of the hotel. The staff on reception, didnt really speak any english, however, they pulled a freind in from somewhere to help, who arranged for laundry for us and even VERY kindly took us out for food, then picked us up included with the price! After coming in from the jungle at koh sok, the luxury we found here was most welcome... Would I go back if in area...? YES!

if you are taking the night boat over to koh samui it is right next door. still a half hour bus ride to the normal ferry. room was great. really liked to be able to walk five minutes to the night market, and they had some delicious snacks and drinks cheap. really enjoyed the hotel, even left the staff some candy as a thank you. was a little tricky to find bus tickets to koh samui, we wandered for quite a while and then found the bus station. when you exit the hotel walk right. take a left (crossing the street) and i believe it was two more blocks then another left. bus station was on the right. (same street that has an english teaching building on the corner.

located close to a conference we were attending. We have stayed here before and the reasons we stayed here were the beds are comfy, not your usual rock hard affair. the breakfast is plentiful and the internet is good. Last time the pool was disgustingly dirty looking but they have really cleaned it up and it looked inviting, although we never went in. What we were disappointed with was that we were given just bath towels, when I asked for a face towel I was told there were none to be given out and if I wanted extra I would have to pay. I don't think it is just me being super sensititve but it is unhygenic to wipe your face with a towel that has just dried your body.... considering this hotel is not a cheap hotel they really should invest in at least 1 extra towel per room..

Was staying for a sigle night to transfer to koh samui. Hotel was clean and acc and wifi worked well. Not too much around the hotel for tourists. I was on a budget and comfortable taking the local busses and it fit my needs. You can take the red local bus from the train station for 20 bhat and get off at the hospital and walk for 15 minutes down the road. Very local area and a bit of rubbish on the roads and some street dogs around which may bother some people. Its a bit closer to the river than marked on google maps. The little steak resteraunt 2 doors down on the corner was nice. You can get to seatran ferry bus terminal by taking the local red bus for 20 bhat in front of the hospital too. Overall I like the concept and it was good value for the money.

Lovely large clean room but the hotel hard to find. We booked as a cheap overnighter as we were on the ferry to Koh Samui the next day. The hotel is new, its gardens are more like a plant nursery & market garden. The deck over the river was nice but there is nothing else. The hotel is out in the country but only 10 min drive to the ferry/bus depot. A nice place to stay for a transit stopover
