We have had a great stay and are continuing to stay on now for a further 6 days. The breakfast included in the deal was great, so many choices (including western) and eggs/waffles to order! If you want to get your laundry done, recommend to use the cheap place around the corner, $4 MYR per kilo same day ($1.50AUD). Recommended places to eat, just around the corner local place, dinner for two $20MYR ($8AUD) - delicious! Spa - package (massage, facial, foot reflex)'Bedrock' in Kuah town, $258MYR couple (so $50AUD each!!) the place was clean, and the girls were very professional and super skilled, cloud nine material and so well priced!!! Best to hire a car to get around, $60 MYR (manual) per day, negotiate though for $50MYR from 'Moonlight' at Kuah Jetty. Recommend to not order room service, much cheaper to buy your own water/get own laundry done and snacks/drinks elsewhere.

Advantage: - Hotel is only 3 years old and looks nice - the staffs are very friendly and greet you every time you see them - parking is free - hot shower is always reliable - aircond is superb. - breakfast is really good! lots of varieties of foods. - there's 24hrs KFC right across the street - the room was very spacious! (deluxe room) - very near Kuah Jetty/Dataran Lang (Eagle Statue) Disadvantage: - the carpet in the room was stained although its a new hotel. probably should have them cleaned regularly. - quite far from Cenang beach if you're planning to go there regularly for the beach/tourist hotspot Definitely will visit again if i'm going to Langkawi!

We travelled in group through ferry and thus we looked for hotels nearby Kuah Jetty. HIG Hotel is located in about 5 mins driving distance, which is very good for us. No nice view but it doesn't matter for us as we weren't fancy for beach or sea view but one of the reason we went to Langkawi for this round was to go SHOPPING! And, HIG Hotel just met our requirement: HIG shopping complex is just besides the hotel! We bought some cheap chocolates and luggages in HIG shopping complex during our 2D1N stay. We did compared the prices of chocolates and luggages with other shops by Haji Ismail Group in Kuah town and found out the prices of goods in HIG shopping complex next to the hotel were just the same. Apparently HIG is honest to their clients. Room was spacious, everything looks new and clean, and the bed was comfortable. No comment on their food & beverage as we never try (we were outside hotel most of the time). With the price we paid, we feel that it's value for money. The only downside was that the air cond sound was a bit too loud. Anyway, we still had a good night sleep due to the comfort level of the bed and pillow.

stay at westin langkawi was most memorable. Best place to relax and enjoy holiday with family. Hotel has picturesque view of nearby islands, fantastic swimming pools 2 for children and 2 for for adults. Rooms are very spacious comes with a balcony, bathrooms have a large tub and separate shower area. Hotel Has a decent work out place with sauna , Jacuzzi, pool table, squash court, tennis court etc. Added hotel is 5 mins drive to kuah town and jetty , eagle square & mall giving one access to shopping & dinning. concierge desk is extremely helpful in arranging taxis for mobility anywhere within the island at fair price. Breakfast timings are ideal from 7 to 11.30 and choices of food is just fantastic. Would definitely stay here again in future.

i booked this hotel as a last minute option due to the peak season on account on chinese new year. it is reasonably close to kuah jetty point and eagle square. there are many duty free shops close to this hotel. for travelers looking to buy liquor, there is a wholesale shop on the inner road going to bella vista, about 15 mins walk from grand continental. also, the parade mega mall is situation about 20 mins away, good place to buy t-shirts, shorts, liquor, chocolates at dirt cheap prices, incase you fall short to carry it to langkawi beaches.

The resort was luxurious from the entrance to the suites and the way staff treat you. Cleanliness, facilities and services are excellent. The private beach is very nice and the view is great. I liked the butler concept, makes me feel special. They have free TV channels too. The bar also looks good and intimate with really tasty cocktails. Location is not the best, but considering the luxury you get, it's only apt to have the resort a little reclusive. However, Kuah is not big, so a grab drive 5-10 minutes out you already can reach shopping malls and cinema. My only complaint is that the shower head in my suite kept dropping. Otherwise everything was great.

As travelled with a 16th months baby & a 10yr old active boy. A good hotel at convenient location come handy. The 2 storey Riverra Hotel is rather new in Kuah town & not difficult to find via Waza (mobile app). Room is pretty simple & clean, Wifi is a plus point to this hotel. We have pretty good connection in our room.The restaurant at hotel was closed due to fasting month, but food isn't an issue because it's only 5 min drive to nearby eateries. We booked our island hopping trip (adult RM35/Children RM30 incldg Hotel pick up) via the hotel & no complaint at all as the little one had so much fun along the boat trip. Generally happy with Riverra Inn & will come back again.

My friends & I were pleasantly surprised by the room's cleanliness & spacious bathroom. The room was promptly made without even us requesting for it, and the toiletries & towels nicely replaced. We were also impressed with the guest toilet's cleanliness & modern look. The hotel staff was friendly, pleasant & polite. However, the morning traffic might annoy light sleepers as the hotel faces the main road leading to Kuah Jetty & Dataran Lang. Also requires walking upstairs to the rooms as it doesn't have any lift. Its advisable to travel light if you intend to stay here due to limited room space & stairs climbing. The hotel name was a bit confusing as the signboard displayed "Hotel Asia" instead of "Hotel Asia Langkawi". If you're headed towards Kuah jetty, it is located on the left before a traffic police headquarters & after the traffic light with digital timer & some Kuah duty-free shops.

We stayed here for a short transit night before the next day morning ferry to Koh Lipe (thus the choice of location instead of the beach area). The stay was okay, near to Kuah Jetty point, basic necessities available, clean room and they also have cars for rent at affordable price. Staffs was also very helpful and accommodating to our requests (to drop us at the jetty at no cost)..

the hotel is one of the best i stayed in during my trip to langkawi. located in the kuah town it will be the most convenient place for those who are coming to langkawi by ferry (taxi is 10 rm from jetty terminal to the hotel, walking distance 25 mins). the hotel is quite new (dec 2011), very clean for the price paid. 2 minuses are the very slow wi-fi and not the best night staff at the reception desk.

I booked for interconnecting room. There are two rooms with 4 single beds (on the second floor). There are no space available for pray. I really not recommend this type of room for Muslims. We changed the rooms to 201 (family-1queen1single bed) and 202 (1queen). Just pay extra rm50 per day for the family room. MUCH BETTER. A lot of space available for pray. HOWEVER, i really thank and appreciate those staffs for their effort. You guys really nice and friendly. One more thing, please Agoda, update the current picture/images of the rooms available at the hotel. Really confusing. I really like the location since you can just walk to the Kuah town for shopping or take the grabcar for rm4. From Kuah jetty to hotel rm5. From hotel to Underwater world at cenang for rm22-25 if you take grabcar. and lastly, please change the pillow and the blankets. Old already, right? Thanks a lot Citin Hotel. Hope you can improve the facilities and cleanliness. Sorry and thank you.

After 2 weeks in each of singapore bali& penang this is my favorite hotel Set in a real forest with plenty of entertaining wildlife we love it You do need transport but MR15 will get you to kuah in a taxi but a scooter is cheapest & best The owners & staff are excellent friendly people All in all a gem of a place which i,m sure we will return to & so pleased we found it!!

This hotel is located 15 minutes from the Langkawi airport and around 10 minutes drive to Kuah town. Renting a car would be a good choice since the attraction is scattered around and not located at the Kuah town. You don't have to worry about the noise from nearby surrounding because there is no other shoplot except for the food stall. There are several food stall nearby and I can guarantee you that you wouldn't be starving. They serve very simple breakfast just enough to fill your tummy before you can look for better Kopitiam. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay at MQ Hotel and will considering to stay here if I have other opportunity to visit Langkawi in future.

The location of this hotel is very good. 10mins by car from the kuah jetty. There are night markets on every wednesday and saturday night which is just 5 mins walk from the hotel. There are quite a handful of eateries and restaurants near the hotel. Among them, there's a vegetarian eating house. There are many duty free shops 5mins away, selling chocolates, souvenoir, cosmetics, cookware etc! The room is clean, bed is very comfy and the bathroom is also very nice. The staff there is also very helpful. They offered cheaper than normal car chauffer services and tour packages! Overall we had a great stay over this hotel. Will definitely go back next time!

The hotel is located at city centre, surrounded by quite a number of duty free shopping malls. The hotel is clean and the staffs are friendly. I hired a car while I was travelling in Langkawi and I could easily find a parking space near the hotel at any time. The hotel is also near Kuah Jetty and a few tourist attractions. There are also many restaurants near the hotel.

The staff at the reception was very helpful, and you can order sate to be delivered to your doorstep. The internet kept having to be restarted. The best part was the room. Indeed it is very "comel" (cute). There is space for a double bed, a narrow toilet/bathroom and about two feet of walking space. It's great for crashing into a deep slumber, being so dark and sans windows and all. There is also a water dispenser for hot/cold water.
