"This hotel is fantastic for the price. It is right next to a metro station and only 5 minutes walk to Kyoto train station. The hotel is not located in downtown Kyoto but it is really quick and easy to get there by metro. The bedroom and bathroom were larger than I expected. The room was very clean and pleasant. The hotel was modern and the bar located on the ground floor had a really nice feeling to it. The bar was really relaxed and wasn't noisy or smokey. They give a free welcome drink in the evening and it seems to encourage many people to enjoy the bar area whilst planning their travels. I will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Kyoto."

We brought 2 big luggage and needed take turn to open in the room. Overall, I will still recommend this place for the location and also surrounding. "

"Great Hotel, paid small amount extra and stayed in one of the top floor rooms and was well worth the extra. Rooms were beautiful. Staff had very basic English and helped where they could. Very nice staff though. Breakfast very busy, and 2500Y each if not purchased with room. Japanese version of a western breakfast and was not great value for money. Hotel also runs a free shuttle bus every 15 mins from Kyoto Train Station, which we weren't aware of when booking you need to go to the entrance opposite the New Miyako Hotel and look for the Green mini bus. Hotel is only about 10min flat walk from station. Some of the tours didn't pick up from the hotel and you needed to go to the New Miyako Hotel to be picked up. So you could either take the shuttle bus to the train station or walk. There is a 7 to 7 store around the corner (heading towards the New Miyako Hotel) about 5 mins away and you can pick up Sushi / beer and wine from there. Overall we would stay again."
