Awesome hotel. Truly a 5-star experience. Unbeknownst to me... I had dropped off my wife at the ground floor for her to check in first. I then proceeded to park my car in the basement - I was then greeted at the ground floor by one of the hotel personnel leading me to the elevator which leads me to the lobby - almost to quickly I was already on the 39th floor in less than 30 seconds! The elevator was super quick and the front desk staff was friendly upon check in. We were given chocolate treats as part of Mother's day celebration 2018 as well. The room was super-fine. Clean as ever and all amenities are provided - there was even a list of stuff we could take home to enjoy! The pool area was awesome - there was a bar in which waiters would approach you and asked if you needed a drink or something in a waterproof menu! How cool is that? The kids too had their share of fun as the hotel provided some floats and some swimming gear for the kids to play around with. I'd definitely come back!

we had a very comfortable stay, and when requested to move rooms due to noise the management was very accomodative and complied fast. room service is very good and the hotel is very well equiped with all entertainment activities. moving from the hotel to other locations was also was convenient as it is located very close to the bus/ railway station (Ampang Park). shopping malls are also very close to the hotel they are Orient,Ampang Park and the KLCC.

having stayed here only one night, i still found that the recent refurbishments served it well. it gave the hotel a fresh new modern feel whilst still being luxurious. location was good since it was smack dab in the middle of town within walking distance of so many places to see. staff were friendly and accomodating to my requests. the room itself was rather well appointed with a cushy bed, adjustable (and working) a/c controls and a brightly lit sizeable bathroom because there's nothing worse than waking up in the middle of the night shivering because the a/c went on the blink or bumping elbows against walls in a tiny bathroom (i really liked that the shower and bathtub were separate). because i drove, i found the access to the parking basement somewhat inconvenient because i had to exit the hotel and go down via an external lift. but this shouldn't bother non-drivers since the lrt station is so close and taxis are aplenty. lastly, i do wish there were more electrical outlets near the bedside tables so that i didn't have to keep getting up to check my phone while it was charging.

i stayed at this hotel with my friend and stayed for three nights. we had a very pleasant stay here and found the rooms very spacious. the bathroom was particularly spacious, bright, and pretty, with a separate shower and bath. since i'm a workout addict, i was looking forward to a good workout in their gym. the gym was very well equipped (incline bench, flat bench, 20kg barbell, a good range of dumbbells, treadmills, elipticals, lat pulldown machine, cable machine, etc.) i had absolutely no problem maintaining my regular workout routine while here. very satisfied with the gym! the pool was really great. i particularly liked the mini booths by the large windows that provide a stunning view of kl. while i didn't get to visit the bar at night, it seems like it was packed on friday and saturday nights when they had a 50 ringit cover charge (all other days, there is no cover). i appreciated how they had two laundry machines and a dryer as i wanted to do laundry before leaving the hotel. you simply need to go to the reception to buy tokens for the machines and laundry detergent. the one downside might be that the hotel is a little far from metro stations. the hotel was about a 15 minute walk to the center of bukit bintang which wasn't a big deal for us since we love to walk, but it might be a bit far for folks planning to travel with older relatives. there's a short hill that you have to climb to get to the hotel. the closest lrt station is dang wangi (which is also about a 15-20 minute walk), and the closest monorail station is bukit namas (about a 15 minute walk). the area also lacks a lot of local food joints as it caters to tourists. better head to masjid jamet and kampung baru if you're looking for affordable local fare. overall a very pleasant stay and great value!

The hotel was centrally located in KLCC area whereby the nearest LRT station - Ampang Park is merely about 2 to 3 minutes walk. If you decided to take the cab from airport to the hotel upon arrival, it's about RM45 from KLIA. Check-in and out procedures were a brisk. The staffs were friendly and helpful. We were granted an early check-in at 11:00a.m. albeit the standard check-in time was 2:00p.m. The suite was spacious in my opinion, both master and guest bedrooms. And both came with ensuite bathrooms. There was also another guest washroom in the living room. Each suite was given a user ID and password for unlimited WIFI access but limited to 4 gadgets only at the same time. There were a few restaurants located in the hotel itself, they have Oriental and Korean. You can have supper just right across the hotel - Acme Bar & Coffee, located at The Troika. There is a grocery store - Jaya Grocer located about 6 - 10 minutes walk from the hotel and Ampang Park Shopping Mall is around the area too. Unfortunately, the taps and pipes in our suite had been leaking all the time whenever we turned on the tap. Be it the tap in our ensuite bathrooms or the kitchen. The microwave in the kitchen wasn't properly cleaned as we could still see oil stains on the walls of the microwave from previous usage. All in all, this is a value for money and comfortable hotel to stay in if you are looking for a place centrally located.

Walking distance to Sky train station, Twin towers and other attractions like Discovery Center, Aquarium, Suria KLCC Shopping Center, City Park. A free city shuttle bus (pink color) could be found opposite Renaissance Hotel, next to Sky train station. There're two areas for breakfast, the one which is next to swimming pool on 5th level seems mainly to cater Chinese, noisy and a bit messy. Whilst the other is on ground floor, next to the receptionist and prefers for those who would like to eat in quiet and nicer atmosphere. Should catch Sky train or free City bus to try variety of street food at Jalan Alor after 5pm.

This hotel doesnr make me feel the standard of Mandarin Oriental at all. The location is perfect. However when we 1st set our foot into the lobby, The horrible scene by the reception was the long Queue of guests waiting for check in. They even use the rope around the counters. Feels like at some theme parks waiting for entry. Just awful. And the reception told us that they don't have twin beds at all in their hotel- how can that be?' Then he gave us a connection room which I decided to change. The bed is so tiny that my other half had to dangling his feet half way outside the bed. The only high light during our stay was club lounge staffs are extremely friendly and well trained. To be honest if not because of them, we probably checked out the hotel on the same day. I also need to give credits to the Aqua restaurant staffs, under the weather condition- they made our new year eve a memorable one.

Very Recommended Hotel : - Infront Of Hotel is AVenue K Mall : Just Go Inside and 1 access same to Suria KLCC (very near to twin tower petronas) - Transport is MRT is very near, just go in Avenue K Mall , with Rapid KL LRT KLCC - this hotel is very cheap is you booking early - breakfast is very nice and many food you can pick - Room is very Nice View, clean, facilities is very good - many place you can go - Tranport another MRT, you can use Grab Car (Online transportation), GRAB is very Cheap between Uber or another Taxi Meter, Just download in Playstore or App Store - From Airport KLIA (kuala lumpur International airport), you can get to the hotel very simple : 1. From KLIA to KL Sentral with Bus (price is about RM10-30) 2. From KLIA to KL Sentral with KLIA Express (One way is RM55) from KL Sentral, you take LRT Rapid KL to KLCC (price RM 2.30) after arrive KLCC LRT, you just go out to AK Mall, and you arrive soon to hotel. this the best recommend hotel at Kuala Lumpur

We had a great stay at this hotel. Small building but in a great location. You should request to have a room with the twin tower view, it was a sight to behold especially at night. Staff are friendly and no problem with checking in & out. I love their hydrotheraphy pool with warm water. You should also try their sky lounge where you can enjoy the view of the twin tower and kl tower while having coffee/tea or even just to relax. Room was clean, with big bed and comfy pillows. Though their tv is a bit old, still its ok. They have mini ref, elec.pot., and coffee/tea maker in the room. The bathroom was spacious, tub and shower were separated. Free wifi inside the room. Just a short distance to petronas, klcc, suria mall. And also walking distance to bukit nanas train station if you want to go to other places accessible via train and to kl sentral. Just in front of the station is the kl tower. Construction is on going beside petronas, i think it will block the view from the hotel of the twin tower once fully constructed since hotel maya is a just small building. So better stay here while it still offers great view of the tower. Overall, i love everying about this hotel. We didnt try their breakfast, as it's not included with the room that i booked, but there's no problem coz we ate at the mall beside petronas. Will definitely go back and stay here again if going back to kl.

Location of hotel is perfect as it sits on a ma with lots of wonderful eateries and a supermarket and it has a bridge that links to Ampang Park Mall which boast female local traditional wear and the money changer has good rates plus the mall sits on MRT station Ampang thus perfect to move around! Buffet breakfast was awesome which had spreads of local malay cuisines, indian, chinese and western. Loved the Nescafe Kopi Tarik free flow! The host of the Restaurant was a pleasant Indian man who remembers our preferences and made us feel like we have been friends. Thanks! Loved the room service food too. So fast. Huge portions and so good!!!! Room was good. Had the corner room thus very quiet and had a walkway corridor. TV channels were a little limited but its ok as we were mostly out and about. However, the bathroom floor tiles and shower floor tiles were very slippery and we feel is inappropriate to be used for toilets. Do think of ways to make it non slip. My sister had a horrifying fall and hit her head against the sink counter. Luckily no bleeding or injury known and we were so relieved it was not our elderly mother who fell. After that incident we placed towels all over the toilet and shower floor to prevent slips. We reported this to the front desk upon check out and he felt so bad for us that he delighted us with a tin of their famous choc chip giant cookies. Thansk Mr Gaffar for that gesture. We loved the welcome cookie and the freeflow of ice tea at front desk. As it was during the horrible haze season that we arrived, perhaps the front desk or housekeeping could supply guests with disposable face masks in the room or even leave a precautionary letter on Do's and Dont's during the haze season. We are regular tourists to KL and we wil definitly come back and stay at your hotel. Will bring rubber slippers next time! Hehe! Thank you Double Tree for delighting us.

pros: loved the location, within walking distance to major shopping area like bukit bintang and place of attraction like petronas twin tower. just across the hotel there is a sheltered bridge heading to a big shopping mall, pavilion kl. monorail train station (raja chulan station) is just 3 minutes walk, and can go to bukit bintang or kl central, though those with heavy luggage will face difficulties here as there is no escalator or lift. minor cons: getting a taxi with meter is quite difficult, as most taxi drivers want fixed price. need to prepare enough time if want to go to airport / kl central by taxi to anticipate these and also the traffic jam esp. during rush hours.

We are highly recommending this hotel because we had a wonderful stay here. Location is great as well. Never had a problem with getting a transportation/taxi and a walking distance from the train station. Staff are friendly and always willing to assist and are helpful. Free breakfast was also the best with variety of choices to kick start your day. The hotel is almost an hour from the airport.

My wife and I had our short honeymoon in Royale Chulan and had our room upgraded to Executive Suite due to rooms were fully booked. I guess it was our lucky day :-) The room was spacious for sure and the bfast was great with variety of food. The staff also friendly and the hotel is just few mins away from Ampang Park Station and it is situated just few blocks away from Bukit Bintang "crowds"...although the room was expensive but overall I like the hotel and its services.

Every single moment of our time here was a joyous treat. Staff were amazing, with us and our 1 year old son, who was treated like family. Our room was fantastic, with a comfy bed and fabulous view of the Petronas towers. Location was great - a short walk to KLCC, and just a few minutes to both MRT/LRT train stations. Breakfast was incredible- sooo many delicious options! Our son adored the pool and playground, and my husband enjoyed the gym facilities. We have told everyone we know about our experience, and will return in time, for sure!

i like that the staff are so helpful and always ready with a smile. this is especially great during breakfast when i need to feel i'm not looking my worst. the location is great - close to other amenities like the klcc and its adjacent park, a beautiful mosque and yet not too 'closed in'. the concierge did a wonderful job by giving alternatives and options to information requests. the train station (ampang park) is just next to the hotel but you hardly notice it, making it a most convenient but unobtrusive amenity. overall, a very pleasant stay indeed.

Yes, hotel is above five stars. and is worth the price and value. I Would like recommend this property to all. I wish from General Manager to read on this assessment "Review". Hotel management is very integrated, responsive and helpful. Duty Manager, Front Office, The reception, Experience Concierge, "Joshua" and "Suria" And all the staff are very professional, cooperation and welcoming. Friendly staff in all departments. A new and modern place and wonderful smart buildings. and best "Views". Elevators, corridors, rooms, furniture, restaurant, swimming pool, facilities and the hotel's smell are very refined, high taste, cleanliness and luxury. central location, therefore a good base for a short or longer stay! lrt station ampang park is only 10 min walk away. close to british high commission and other embassies. the one or two bedroom option makes it suitable for couples, larger families and close friends. rooms are comfrotable and the kitchenette is equipped with what is needed. breakfast is included. nice swimming pool.

Pros - location, room minimalist style, cafe is awesome, a few steps to the lrt station and few minutes to the golden triangle hotspot bukit bintang and all malls. Food at the pool side cafe is nice and ambience is awesome. Overall great staff in the cafe and reception however this one chinese staff is ridiculously rude . Requested for the iron, she said she just gave it to someone and dont know when it will come back and cannot confirm it and maybe will never get it for me. I mean common, thats not how you address an issue or request from a 4 night guest. Her tone is seriously horrible and she is always sitting at the reception side table (not the main reception who was awesome - philipine staff). I suggest her to get some manners classes before being the one handling customers. other than that, place is good for value

Pros : Honest & helpful staff. I was accidentally left my pendrive in the hotel during checkout. It was overwhelming that the staff never took interest of my pendrive, and the hotel manager courier it back to my live place within a week. Truly commendable honesty of the hotel. Beside of that, recommend also the nice breakfast buffet, facility like swimming pool, free parking and etc. Cons : Distance to the nearest LRT station abit far, but not a problem for those travel with car.

we got a room with a lake side view, which was very nice, room was clean and nice, including toilets, the flush was not working on arrival, but was promptly repaired. staff are friendly and helpful. the hotel is not very close to any public transport like trains or buses. the mall is close buy, walking distance. need to cross the highway . closest lrt is ampang. we traveled mostly by public transport. it costs around 25myr max to Klcc depending in the type of taxi (premier) or normal taxi. the hotel has good range of cuisine, indian, continental and local food (3 restraunts in house). wifi is free in room and through out hotel with good reception and speeds

we stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment and enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel. the apartment had a radio/cd player, 2 flat screen tvs, a well-equipped kitchenette, a cozy lounge, an awesome bathroom (with a view of the city), and a spacious bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe. how great is that? staff were very friendly and helpful with request. check-in and out was quick, there was free parking and internet too. the view from our room was amazing, especially in the shower! as for public transport, the nearest lrt (train) station is about 200m away (less than 5 min stroll) from the hotel. we didn't get a chance to check out the breakfast spread but we were told it was still held in a suite/room as the hotel is still new. nevertheless, i would recommend somerset ampang for anyone looking for a trendy, comfortable, clean place to stay in the heart of kuala lumpur.

I was just 3 Days in KL , had a nice time in the Hotel. 10 Minutes by feet to the Twin Towers and 2 Min. by Grab Car. Grab Car is the best Option to move through KL. If you arrive at KLIA 1 take the Ekspress Train to KL City Central Station and order over your App in the Smartphone a Grab Car. It takes Minutes and it's Fantastic, very cheap nice Driver. All OK. I must come back to visit KL again , it's a real nice City with nice People, great and different food. Ralf Becker

This co-living style homestay is located at TOWER B of the Marc Residence. The rooms are relatively compact but comfortable. A large living area with library, Kitchen and a smoking balcony. Guests could use the Condo-facilities : 3 swimming pools and a large gym. Max Homestay do provide car park but need to check with Ms. Bethel, the very courteous and helpful caretaker of the homestay. The walk to KLCC shopping mall, KLCC convention centre, LRT station is just across the street.
