Find hotels in LRT Train Station - Dang Wangi

I arrived in the area around 11PM and to my horror, my cab driver and I could not see the entrance so he wasn't sure where to drop me off. Lucky for me he was kind enough to park the cab and asked people in 7E Dang Wangi for directions. We soon learned that the hotel entrance is actually INSIDE Campbell Complex and walking towards it alone late at night was quite scary - the passageway was poorly lit and I felt unsafe. What I loved: 1) Hotel location - walking distance to shopping areas, malls, eateries as well as street food. Campbell Complex (the building where the hotel is in) has quite a number of shops too but had nothing that interest me much. 2) 24-hours convenience store next to one of the exits. 3) Room was quite spacious, uses a key card and clean enough. 4) Free WiFi available 5) The price was very reasonable, considering the size of the room and the facilities available in it What could be improved: 1) The food at breakfast - you could get better food outside the hotel. Until the quality and variety is improved, you might want to opt for a room WITHOUT breakfast (which is cheaper). There isn't much space in the dining area during my stay either - according to the reception staff this is due to the hotel undergoing renovations. 2) It would be nice if there are signs clearly visible from the main road to show the way to the hotel entrance. 3) The reception staff who checked me in forgot to return my IC after photocopying it and being extremely exhausted, I did not realize it until the next morning. I asked reception about it straight away and found that they've put it inside an envelope along with my deposit, which in my opinion, is not a very wise thing to do. If I had not remembered about it I would only get my IC back upon checkout. They should have knocked my door straight away that night and return it to me as the IC is a very important document to have on me as I travel around KL.

I have stayed at this hotel for 3 times within 2 months and I love the hotel. The hotel is so chic and the staff are super friendly. They remembered my name after my first stay which I value alot. Love the room ambience and worth the money. Breakfast is wonderful and ready to go option available. Only the location is not as convenient for a shopper like me but there is LRT station (Dang Wangi) within 5 minutes walk. Gonna stay here again definitely!

we enjoyed our stay in this hotel, staffs were very friendly and very cooperative, services were great, and very easy access to all shopping malls and very convenient to all public transports, lrt train station is at walking distance. their coffee shop and the restaurant was great with variety of all types of dishes. its a good place for business travellers and holiday makers.

ok nice room, good service , better lift, good security, free wifi, free computer for kids to play. the hotel is very strategic place where you can find foods easily, shopping complex easily, lrt train station easily, just to name a few shopping complex, pertama complex and sogo. sogo always have sales and it is very attractive. apart from that you can find globe, kamdar, semua house, maiden and so many more. just by walking you can reach all the places. good place to stay.

i love the beds, very comfortable. the place is only walking distance (10 minutes) from dang wangi lrt station and 7 minutes from masjid jamek lrt station. i checked-in with my girlcollege mate. it was a wonderful stay, hotel location is close to jalan tar (malaysian's little india), it was worth the money. we did a lot of shopping and went to hotel happy. i highly recomend maytower hotel

I reached in the morning and request for early check in, I was charged additional MYR 100 for check in at 7 am. My friend checked out in the morning the next day to catch an early flight but he did not get any refund for early check out. I hope that the hotel can be flexi on early check in guest by not charging too excessive. Internet charged at MYR 10 for 1 hour but cannot be used in my room, it cant get connected to my laptop, I have to go down to the lobby as there was only one computer there. Overall, I enjoy my stay because of the location. Train station at Masjid Jamek is near hotel but still need to walk about 10 mins when we want to go to Berjaya Times Square and Bukit Bintang. We have expected the train station is close or annex to the major shopping centres. I love the food around the area, Indian and Malay food abundant. Shop at Petaling street and Masjid India is marvellous when it comes to cheap and good stuffs.

Pleasant stay in Sheraton. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Room was big and clean but no free wifi in the room. 5 mins walk from LRT station Dang Wengi. There is another kind of train right next to the hotel. Quilt shopping mall is opposite to the hotel. Breakfast in the hotel was average, better to grab food in the restaurants nearby the hotel or inside the shopping mall.

Out from building, you can shop immediately. Just a few steps, you can see "pasar malam" or sunday night market where all varieties of food and many things can be seen around. This could been seen at weekend. Transportations also easily can get. Taxis, buses, commuter train and LRT train are all in within vicinity. Just few seconds or minutes. Shopping complexes are also all very near such as Sogo, Semua House, Wisma Jackel, Globe Silk Store and many more. Maybank building and other automated teller machine (ATM) also very near.

I booked the single room with window that looks right above the street and the 24 hour restaurant (that has a karaoke song blazing into the night) . The restaurant is a warong actually operating from a heritage building . Room is cozy, good for just one person of course. TV channels has only fox movies and AXN working. Local channels are bad except for TV9 , you can see a bit. My attached bathroom is good except the hot water was more lukewarm actually. There's a electric kettle, cup and saucer/spoon. A desk that opens from under the TV and could be kept in place when not in use. I needed a desk but with chair which I can find if I work from the cafe at the reception area that's only open for bfast and lunch. Water dispenser didn't work on the second floor, had to go down to lobby. WIFI is excellent. Very near LRT station Dang Wangi. Near Quill City Mall, Kg Baru food.only 2 parking space in front of the hotel. Other than that, you'd have to pay RM6 or RM10 for the open space parking

This place is amazing as a base to be out and about doing things in the City. Find the nearest train station and from there you can get about to most parts of the city. Make sure you try food from one of the Mamak Stalls (open plan Indian cafes) which you'll see right outside of the hotel but take probiotics as some of the food may be a little too foreign for your stomachs if you're from, say, somewhere in the west.

This single night stay was due to my usual not-so-four star hotel, about two blocks away, being booked out. This 5 month old hotel, located between Floors 25 and 29, is well located in a safe well-lit area. It is now reasonably well signposted with a ground floor front desk and concierge. The main reception desk is on Lvl 25. Staff are friendly, competent and professional. Although it has no dining options there are quite a few cafes and restaurants very close by including McDonalds and a Starbucks clone on the ground floor, a food court on the third floor (closed at night), many small Malay sidewalk cafes around the corner and Indian (Lotus) across the road. The 6th floor of nearby SOGO department store has a food court and Japanese and halal Chinese restaurants. The rooms are spacious with great city views and the bathroom shower drainage issue flagged by previous reviewers is a fairly minor problem. Definitely the best four star option in this part of town. The Lvl 25 common area is modern and spacious. SOGO department store and Little India are with 3 minutes walk away, the Monorail (Medan Tuanku) and LRT (Bandaraya) stations less than 5 minutes and Dang Wangi station(LRT) less than 10 minutes walk away. Taxis are fairly inexpensive in KL in any event. This is definitely now my preferred hotel in this part of KL.

It's a small hotel yeah but who needs a big one I mean as a traveller we'll spend most of our days outside. We're so happy bout the room service! Change of bedsheets and towels everyday.. Replenish tissues and coffee soaps and clean the floor! Woww! Location is nice few minutes walk to lrt and ktm train..rl rapid bus stops infront of the hotel itself near restaurants and yet a very quiet place to stay! The wifi is fast and the best thing that happened is when we needed assistance on printing my fiancé's visa the receptionist did it for us for free! I would highly recommend this hotel as it is still new and not overrated! Thanks Canary for the good stay!!!

Within walking distance to Medan Tuanku monorail station and Dang Wangi lrt station. Parking is available in front of the hotel but limited. Safety could be an issue as this area isn't that safe actually. Basic in-room amenities are provided - toothbrush/paste, shaver, shower foam, shampoo, soap, shower cap, towels, bathrobe, hairdryer, slippers, wifi, mini bar, tv., separate toilet, shower and sinki. Water pressure at 2nd flr is very weak. There's no fridge. Elevator works well. Wall is thin. U can basically hear whats goin on in the room if u walk along the corridor. U can hear musics and noise from the clubs nearby. Room & hotel deco is urban look and looks pretty neat. Room size is considered reasonabe for 2pax with 1kid. Room safety is acceptable. Door lock and access card availabe. Breakfast is provided.

Recommended to all traveller to stay in this hotel. Very safe and clean. When we walk in to this hotel....the smell is very nice. Very near to LRT Masjid Jamek just 3 minute walk. Iron board and iron is available in the room. The hotel is very comfortable and will come again. The hotel is also really safe for solo traveller exspecially woman traveller. Recommended purchase in the agoda rather to walk in because the price is really cheap if u buy it online. Like my room...i got for RM57 instinct of RM109. Recommended to stay in this hotel.

Located in the heart of the city - A walking distance from the LRT Jamek Mosque and to the oldest parts of KL and some historical attractions. This place is known for Indian enclave whereby lots of shops and restaurants are just around every corner. The hotel was nice, cheap and clean. Housekeeping came everyday. The only criticism would be about internet. It didn't work out at all. Seem like its been an issue to many places I have been to!

Although it doesn't seem like much when your battered taxi pulls up at the door to the Frenz Hotel, the experience we had was the best compared to the Bayview hotel in Penang Georgetown. We had a pleasant sleep every night, and enjoyed genuine smile each time we communicated with the staff. The room isn't very big at all, neither is the hotel in general but I rate this 5 stars for value for money and comfort. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of space in the room to fully unload your luggage - so I guess it made sure we keep our things extra tidy. It's also only 5 minutes away from the train station so it's easy to get around. All up - we had no regrets at the Frenz Hotel and would most definitely recommend to others

Great spacious rooms for a family with young kids. Our room was quite new. Super friendly staff. The hotel is in the Pakistanian dostrict. Lots of fabric and clothes stores around. Some delicious eateries around. Merdeka square is a walking distance. Different train stations are close by. If you go to Batu Caves a train station is 7 min away. Great value. Will stay here again.

It is good to stay for sleeping. Security situation is good as hotel is in front of the police station(box). I never expect to hotel service without sleeping. Internet is also very narrow to use but it is enough to use email. Agoda ask me about meal condition, how I can reply. I just check 3. It is covinience to take cheap food at hawkers with local people as my booking is without meal. My purpose to stay was seeing Merdeka events, specially parade. It is close to the place for Merdeka parade about 10 mimutes walk. I enjoyed Merdeka Eve with Malaysian till 1 am. I also found the cheapest shop in KL near hotel, where selling Indian products.
