I have stayed in many hotels in KL over the past 3 years and I would have to say that this is one of the exceptional hotels. I stayed in a deluxe king room (18m2) with a window - the room was very clean and large size, good block out curtains, King bed was very comfortable, it had ironing facilities in the room, hairdryer, small fridge, coffee and tea making, aircon worked well and quiet, the sound proofing is excellent I could not hear any noise from the outside or the corridor, the price per night is exceptionally cheap for the high standard hotel and room, it is 5 mins walk to the Sentral market and Petaling St, 10 mins walk to the LRT and MRT train stations, had a small issue at breakfast and the F&B Manager Mohd Amri Bin Yahya was exceptionally helpful and apologetic - highly recommend this hotel

Pros: Location is close to LRT (Plaza Rakyat/Pudu Sentral) - just go through a building and an overpass, around 5mins leisurely walk Bukit Bintang is walkable (Berjaya Times Square, other malls) Easy to find taxi/Uber in front of the hotel Free wifi Helpful staff (helping with luggage) Easy check-in and check-out (check-in just present your booking voucher and passport) Clean room, everyday housekeeping There are vending machines in the next building for late night snacks/drinks. 7-11, KFC, carinderias, and other convenience stores are just 1-2 minutes walk There's a bidet in the cr If you forgot a travel adapter and it doesn't fit in the usual sockets, try the one behind the tv There's a mini safe Cons: The hair dryer in my room was broken No refrigerator

The hotel is conviniently located right beside Plaza Rakyat LRT station which makes it easy to find! The hotel also provide many essential electronics such as HairDryer, Iron & ironing board, kettle. When i first check in, I was greet with a smile at the reception. Very friendly. Once I check into my room, the reception call and asked if everything is Ok with my room and if i needed anything. I find this very conforting and felt that they CARE! thumbs up! Since i was travelling with a guy friend, i specifically requested for a separated twin bed and they made sure i got it. Thanks! Overall, it was a pleasant experience staying at the hotel. I will definitely be coming back should i visit that area again.

I stayed in this hotel with no expectations whatsoever. I was pleasantly surprised. The location of the hotel is PERFECT for solo travelers as it is a short 3-5 minute walking distance from the Masjid Jamek MTR station. So getting to and from the airport/airport bus and around KL is not a problem. KLCC is around 2 stations away. Getting to the Batu Caves via the KL Sentral station was also convenient. If you will take part of the Free KL Tour, the place is a 10-15 minute walk from the KL City Gallery, the meeting place for the tours. If you're like me who likes walking, a lot of historical KL places are within walking distance form this hotel. From the location of the hotel alone, you will already save a lot of money. No need to take expensive taxis or Uber, the train station is just nearby. The staff are also very nice and helpful. I remember the lady receptionist accompanying me to the MTR station during my check-out. I will definitely stay here again!

Pros: Good location, budget hotel, but u should prepare RM. 10-15/room tax, nite market under the hotel and nearby to masjid India market, new store of MYDIN at masjid jamik more completed of chocolate varieties with the cheaper price so we don't need to go to MYDIN kotaraya...food stalls around nearby MYDIN we can eat halal food (nasi padang/medan).. we can reach LRT masjid jamik station for 5-8min by walking Breakfast okay Cons: If it's ur 1st time it will difficult to find hotel location or sign board from LRT train station cause of nite market tend will close it.. No free shuttle bus here, if u want to go to bukit bintang, better u go by taxi online, if u go by LRT, u have to spend ur time from masjid jamik to KL sentral, than u shoud go by monorail Komuter line to stop at bukit bintang...but from masjid jamik station u can reach to twin tower easier

Holidaying overseas it is important that you get the comfort and convenience. Big M is my regular stay when we need an accommodation near Chinatown. The warm hospitality of the friendly and helpful staffs never ceased to amaze me so far ... Thanks you! Importantly for us is that we have a clean & enough space room for two, comfortable beds, good air con & shower, and fast wifi. The Masjid Jamek LRT interchange station is a few steps away and has two Rapid KL LRT systems which cover a sizable area of places. Taxis are available at the station however getting Grab is cheaper. Walking distance to Chinatown, Central market and Pasar Seni train station (where you can board the Go KL free bus to the Bukit Bintang area). The hotel is close to fast food chain, coffee shop, and restaurants...and even pharmacies for medical supplies. For the service, comfort and location we highly recommend to those looking for a budget hotel near Chinatown.

The hotel is new so everything is clean and in great condition. I requested a room facing the road during booking and they assigned me such room. I love the location. The hotel is nestled between 2 LRT stations, i.e. Pasar Seni and Masjid Jamek. You can change to MRT line at Pasar Seni. It is literally behind the Central Market so it is convenient to explore Chinatown on foot. The room is new and I love everything about the room. One minus point will be the smell from the toilet. Even though it is spotlessly clean, it can emit some smell when you flush it. Better if you close the toilet lid all the time.

I checked into Arenaa Star on the 21st October and stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very pleasant stay. First and foremost after putting down my luggage, I ventured to the hotel's open air restaurant located on the Mezzanine floor. The seafood olio oglio I ordered was good. I also tried grilled chicken and lamb chop on subsequent days and they are all ridiculously cheap yet extremely tasty. Wow! The friendly and courteous staffs made the ambience all the more better. When it comes to the accomodation, I must say that it has the coziest bed and pillows for you to rest after a long walk tour around KL which you can easiy access via the LRT and is just a walking distance from Chinatown. Not to mention the big and modern bathroom, flat wide screen tv and various themes that represents each floor. For example the 1st Floor represents the Malaysian stars thus you will see the portraits of the local entertainers painted on the wall along the hallways to every hotel room. Not to mention the Hollywood, Bollywood, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Korea etc. You might have a pleasant surprise to see that one of them happens to be your favourite! So in conclusion, Arenaa Stars lives up to its name and is very recommendable for the budget value and comfort.

I stayed here for 3 nights and it is the best place so far for me. This hotel is superb! good location, near from the train station, near the central market, china town and plus the terminal for GoKL bus (which i use for free). and the rooftop pool is so awesome at night! i cant find the other cheap hotels that have the facilities like this. it is more than what you pay. the staff will clean your room based on your request. the room itself is okay for 2 people. the shower is good, the water heater is working well. they give the soap and shampoo everyday. there is also restaurant down of the hotel and the food is very good and its cheap as well. Near by the hotel (along katsuri walk) there is popular curry restaurant, yusoof and zakhir, which I check on google its one of the best curry restaurant in kuala lumpur. And its cheap also! I will have another trip to kuala lumpur and will stay here again. ^^

I think it's quite a new hotel, run by Tamil staff. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideally situated close to LRT Pasar Seni, Central Market, Kasturi Walk, Jalan Petaling, etc. Not much character, but excellent value, clean, quiet and everything one needs. Great views over the city from window - National Mosque, etc. We booked 3 hotels in Malaysia on this trip, and Lavana was the best (the friendliest and and also the cheapest by a long way). One problem with all hotels was the snail-like Wifi, ironic as there are signs everywhere reading that Malaysia is getting up to speed, 500 Mbps - well, they have a long way to go, and that's compared to Lombok, where I live.

hotel stay was great. rooms were rather clean and well mantained. was given a queen size bed for a room for two person. room was spacious enough and toilet was clean. as we were staying on the 8th floor of the hotel, the window view was amazing. we are able to oversee the menara kuala lumpr and even the petronas twin tower from our window view. you can imagine the spectacular view at night! hotel location was great. it was walking distance to the nearest commuter/train station. however, we ended up walking to the different places such as masjid jamek station, central market and petaling street. traffic was horrible during peak hours and kl and even the train station was overload with people queing for it. advisable, not to take a cab during its peak period. it could cost a bomb!

stayed at hotel chinatown 2 for 5 nights. did not know what to expect when we landed there. it was a good experience to stay there. daily room cleaning, hot/cold water fountain, big tv in the reception (euro cup 2012 ongoing), friendly staff in the morning. night staff seem to be bit grumpy. not that they are not friendly, but could be due to the timing. there is a reflexology centre right below the hotel. location was amazing, right in the middle of petaling street - chinatown. also very near to the plaza rakyat lrt station.

The location is superb. Just infront petaling street where you can buy your pasalubongs, streetfoods and restaurants are just around the corner also, very near to Pasar seni train station, theres a 7/11 nearby. If you love walking then central market and masjid jamek is just really near. Just a station away from KL sentral also. The room was really clean and cozy, the staff is definitely the best, very kind and accomodating, they provided as everything we needed as much as they could. Very helpful. Amigo hotel made sure our stay in KL was perfect.

My friend and I are both girls and the place was safe enough for us. We booked a standard room twin bed. I am not so sure as to their cheaper hostel room because we hadn't taken a look at it. But our room was far more than what we expected considering the price. It was clean and comfortable. The staffs are very accommodating. We had regular room service even if we don't ask for it. They have self-service laundry near the reception. It is walking distance to Katsuri Walk and Central Market (it has food court and souvenir shops of all sorts). The place is also near to 2 train stations - Pasar Seni and Masjid Jamek. It is also a few minutes walk to Merdeka Square and Petaling St. Overall, it was a definitely great place and location and value for money.

I just returned from a trip yesterday night where I stayed at this hotel. Long review ahead. 1) Value for money The hotel is really value for money. A 3 days 2 nights stay costs me only SGD$98, which is equivalent to RM230. Factoring in other criteria mentioned below, I would easily give this a 5. 2) Location The location is the selling point of this hotel. Firstly, it is located only 1 minute away from one of the Rapid KL stations, which is Masjid Jamek! The acccessibility to the train station only makes your travelling around the city much much easier. It was a blessing that the hotel is conveniently situated near the train station. There are some fast-food restaurants located near this hotel, like McDonalds and Burger King, however they are closed by 10.30pm. Secret Recipe is available few blocks away. All in all, nearest food outlets are located only less than 5 minutes away. The night market is just opposite from the hotel. One of the lively spots where the it bustles with activities at night. Tourists and locals frequent this night market. It is Petaling Street located just opposite the hotel! 3) Staff Performance The hotel staff is very friendly and housekeeping services are very good. It was a pleasure being served by them. 4) Hotel Condition/Cleanliness + Room Comfort/Standard I gave this criteria a 5 for its excellence. The staff really makes the effort to keep the hotel neat and clean. I was very impressed with the room condition and overall hotel cleanliness. Travelling as a couple, we stayed in a Standard Double room and the room looks exactly like in the picture. We were greeted with a very good impression at first sight! The bed was very comfortable, same goes for its pillows. The bathroom of this hotel has got to be one of my favourites spaces. 5) Hotel Features - Flat screen tv, where local and international channels such as CNN, HBO, ESPN are available. - WIFI is free. Just request for the password at the reception

I was surprised by the modern design of the hotel, especially when the hotel located in the midst of the area. The hotel's design definitely stood out the most, together with its Wifi services. As for the room, although it's very small but it was good enough for me who needed a place to sleep over and wash up. To make it up for a small & cosy room, the room was equipped with a flat screen wall tv, together with various channels such as HBO, Fox Movies, etc. Each floor was also equipped with a distilled water dispenser to refill for the jug provided in each room. The toilet was also kept clean with no awful looking stains. The hotel provided 2 bathing towel, floor towel, soap & toilet paper which were the basic necessities I needed for a stay. The hotel staff, Joshua Peter, was really friendly too. The hotel also helped us in booking a cab for my friends and I (6 person). The location of the hotel is definitely a thumbs up. It's located just beside Masjid Jamek LRT station, 7-11, Guardian are also next door,together with Mc Donalds and Burger King around the corner. There is also a pub opposite the street that opens late night. I would love to go back to this hotel again, definitely worth the price!

This hotel is value for money because I have booked with cheap price: Pros: 1) Value for Money - Price is Cheap with OYO discounts. 2) Cleanliness - The hotel is clean. 3) Staff - Staff is friendly and helpful. 4) Facilities - The facilicilites is good as a budget hotel. Cons: 1) The location is a bit far from china town, you are not possible to walk to china town and need to grab car or take LRT. The LRT station is about 5-8 minutes walking distance.

Hotel GEO is located Central, just one (1) minutes walk to Plaza Seni bus station, two (2)minutes walk to the Plaza Seni LRT Station and five (5) to ten (10) minutes walk can be reach Pudu Bus Terminal and Star LRT Plaza Rakyat. Infront of Hotel GEO, there have GOKL bus (FREE) cross over to KLCC & Pavillion. I will recommended my friends and family when their visit to KL. This will be my priority selected Hotel for my next visit.

The layout and ambiance of the room w/ its facilities are wonderful! The fact that they tried to relay the concept of Chinese vintage what makes it wonderful. I love the concept of the outdoor washroom at the balcony; w/ the garden itself is another bonus point. Location wise are near to all cafes, 24hrs mini-mart, and also near to Pasar Seni MRT/LRT station. Those who wishes to have a late night meal the street around the hotel has lots of restaurants you can hangout about.
