Location is fantastic. Located across the street from the front of Luodong train station (back is the bus station). Just 3mins away, super convenient. There are tourist bus that brings you around Yilan from the bus station. Hive hotel is on the right side when you face the road (with the train station behind you). Just after a bubble tea shop called MILK SHOP. Rooms are clean & nice as per pictured. Enough space to open up three 28" luggages comfortably. Love the Loccitane toiletries, snacks & drinks provided! My booking included daily bfast. Quality food & drinks provided, with 3 choices available (they don't change their menu daily tho). There are also many eateries around the area & Luodong night market is nearby (less than 10mins away). Turn right out of hotel, turn left when you see the 1st traffic light, walk on then turn right after the next traffic light you see. Use Google map to navigate. Staff are all very friendly. Highly recommend Hive!

I definitely will come back to this hotel as all my family members also commented very good about this hotel. Location is great, just opposite of Luodong railway station, many eating places and convenient stores nearby. The room is nice and very spacious. The view from the room is good and unblocked (our room is at 12th floor). The staffs are very friendly and helpful but they seems can't communicate in English (lucky my uncle can understand chinese). One of them went extra mile to help us by going down to taxi stand at Luodong station and check the price for our next day trip to Wushi harbor for dolphin watching tour. For those who have young kids, there is a quite big play ground at 8th floor. Your kid will like it for sure. Overall is fantastic and great experience stay in this hotel.

I picked this hotel due to its proximity to the Luodong Night Market. Took a while to orientate myself from train station to the hotel and then to the night market. Took me 5 minutes to the night market. Reception was a lady who was not so warm towards all guests. But she did her job well and I got my room before the official check-in time. There is no proper dining area (for breakfast), you could see the tables laid around reception. I did not wake up in time for breakfast, but I could see there are some local food offered. The tables were useful for me when I packed food from the night market but I didn't want to eat them in my room. Room was comfortable and air-conditioning can be adjusted. Room looks a little aged but amenities are still working well. Kettle, teacups, tea/coffee are provided, along with a free pack of local candies per day. Hair dryer, toothbrushes, combs, shower gels and shampoos were also provided. Water from the shower was strong enough and able to switch hot/cold. It could be a culture shock for me (during check-in) to see unoccupied/empty rooms having their doors opened. Owing to its location, I will return to stay there when I come to Luodong next time.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations! Really can’t complain given the price I paid. (+) - large spacious rooms + big windows - comfortable beds/pillows/sofa - seems renovated - seemed quiet with good sound isolation - unbeatable price/value for the area - decent but bare minimal breakfast offerings - close to everything, especially Luodong Night Market (10 min) and the train/bus stations - large bathroom - free parking , albeit in a separate lot near the hotel - free bike rentals (–) - located in shady-looking building with questionable businesses (but not a bother during my stay) - not necessarily easy to locate even for locals / not enough signage to guide guests - lobby is on the 7th floor of the building - can’t open the windows to access the balcony - bare minimal breakfast - parking lot lacks security or surveillance - light switches are confusing and not centrally located

We stayed for a night in this hotel. Location wise is excellent as it is 3 min walk away from the Luodong Railway Station and around 8 min walk to Luodong Night Market. We traveled with a rental car and they have a small car park on site that operated on a first come first served basis. Although the hotel is not the most modern, the room is spacious and extremely clean. Breakfast was hearty with a decent selection of food. I particularly enjoyed the soup and the soy bean drink.

The Kapok Hotel and Resort is immaculately and offers beautifully furnished rooms with all the essential amenities. Breakfast is delicious with both Taiwanese and western style food. The hotel is located near the popular Luodong market. The best part about this hotel is the incredibly helpful service. For example, while checking in, the manager on duty, Ms. Ally noticed my sister was coughing and immediately offered hot tea or hot water for her cold. I’ve traveled the world, stayed in many fine hotels but have never experienced such personal attention! Thank you, Ms. Ally. A big surprise to our visit to Luodong was the the exquisite dinner (seven course and prix fixe for about US$30) prepared by Kapok Hotel’s Chef Adnaan who had received his culinary training from a Michelin rated chef in England. Chef Adnaan designed the seven course menu to gradually increase the intensity of Indian flavors with each course. No heavy curry sauce during our entire meal. Everything was light but very flavorful. We started out with a delicate amuse bouche of passion fruit infused yogurt, followed by thin Indian bread topped with salsa and yogurt dip, then a perfectly balanced chicken soup with a hint of coconut milk and cilantro, then a simple broiled salmon and scallop dish and finally the main entree of filet of the freshest small yellowfin tuna, served on a bed of lentils sauce with enough Indian spices to balance the richness of the tuna. The tuna was served with rice, roasted peppers and a special local string beans sauté with a hint of garlic. Everything was cooked to perfection. We ended the meal with homemade ice cream (with cardamon and saffron flavor) and puff pastry filled with carrot/coconut milk puree. It was indeed an exquisite meal. Our stay at Kapok Hotel was made especially memorable thanks to Ms. Ally the Manager and Mr. Adnaan is the Chef

"Glory" hotel does not live up to its name. It is older, not as attractive in aesthetics, but it more than makes up for it in terms of location and basic price. Not the absolute cheapest place, but still within the bargain range. It is a mere 5 minute walk from the nightmarket, the forestry park (if you want some nature to walk around in), and the train station. Therefore, it makes a convenient base of operations while hopping from place to place. Breakfast was listed as not included, but ended up being included after all (although not too tasty,,,). For the price, it is a decent option.

I stayed for two nights in June, and was very pleased with the time I spent there. The hotel is situated 15 minutes away from Luodong Train Station, and just 5 minutes away from Luodong Night Market. There is a small 7-11 in the proximity of the hotel, so in case of need, food a drinks can be bought there. The hotel is not new, but clean and tidy. It's run by a Taiwanese family, very welcoming and nice people (their English is very limited though, so it's better if you can communicate Chinese on a basic level). There's a reception downstairs and a couple of rooms upstairs, which are each equipped with standard beds, TV, air-conditioning and nice bathroom. The room and the furniture are clean, beds comfortable. Rooms are cleaned daily. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the hotel again. I recommend it to all fellow travelers and backpackers. :-)

The stay at Guo Chen Hotel is enjoyable as it is near to the places of interest around Luodong. The hotel is also next to the famous Luodong Night Market as well as the town shopping district. A upon reaching the hotel, the staff was very welcoming and immediately points to us the places of interest around the area without us even asking. The only downside was us not staying long enough in Luodong to cover the places which the staffs highlighted to us.

Stay at Inn House was great, it is accessible, just 7 mins walk Luodong Station.. Luodong night market is just behind the hostel, approx. 3 mins walk! Owner is sociable, can ask him anything, he is ready to ans u.. No breakfast provided though, but doesn't matter to me. I arrived slightly early & the shutters are down, got to call owner & let him know that I arrived at his hostel, he came in about 5 mins time to check in for me. There is a side door, FYI. Will stay agn! Thanks!
