i have booked the deluxe garden view villa via agoda for my stay in mai khao beach area. you feel the excellent service from the frienly staff once you enter the resort. provided some frensh cold drink and a chain of welcoming floral bracelet once we have been entered the lobby. they have the check in service in our villa room. also, i was surprised by some of the staff since they greet us by our name. the villa is worth the money, because it is just a private paradise for us. also, i love the room service provided by the hotel. the resort provided different theme everyday, so you won't be bored even you stay in the hotel for a week.

Hands down, one of the best villas I've stayed at! I enjoy being away from the busier beaches. Mai Khao is quiet. I like that if we walk down a little further, we see more people from the nearby Marriot. So we had the best of both worlds. The pool is fantastic, the team is very attentive and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant, the treetop bar, and the pool bar! We also had a treat with a film screening of Skyfall. What I enjoyed most is the halal seaside food stalls right next to the villa. They provide delicious and affordable meals. I want to go back!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort. I was expecting it to be good but it even surpassed my expectations. The staff are incredible and made the holiday for us particulary AM and Ton who are the most amazing people you could ever meet. The apartments are very spacious and the garden and pool area are great if you just want to chill 'at home'. Even little touches like providing washing powder and extra water as they knew we were ill. The breakfasts were exceptional with so much choice and we were very pleased to learn they carryon until 11am unlike may other resorts we have stayed at. It is worth noting that Mai Khao Beach isn't close to the hussle and bustle of Phuket so if you are looking for that, this is not the place for you. We absolutely loved it and we will definitely be back. Thank you Marriott Mai Khao for giving us such a lovely holiday and again special thanks go to Ton at the pool bar and AM for his wonderful yoga and exercise classes!

Our vacation was a two part-the first was our initial stay where my wife arrived by herself with our two children via rental car from Andamann Car Rentals. My wife paid ~$119 USD for garden room and got a complimentary upgrade on top of that. Children loved the rooms and complimentary breakfast which they stated was good enough. Plenty of selection for the discerning eater and plenty of activities at the kids center for 3 and 6 yrs old kids. We have stayed numerous times mostly in the vacation club side. This was our first time on JW side of hotel. We couldn't complain as the quality of the JW is matchless. The second half of trip we stayed 2 weeks on the Marriott Phuket Beach club side (rm 3343) of Marriott at Mai Khao beach. Its the standard two bedroom villa which holds 6 adults. We love the old thai style architecture compared to the Marriott Mai Khao beach side which is more modern. Hotel is starting to show its age but nevertheless it was another stay for the record books. We used the kids center a lot this time as we had two kids 3 and 6 with us. Lots of different activities for them to do. In addition, ate a number of times at Turtle village (Swensen ice cream, Thai Express and Coffee club). JW/Phuket beach club have a shuttle that goes between turtle and resort every 15 minutes. There was a bunch of street vendors outside of turtle to buy food like deep fried bananas, coffee, etc. As far as service at the Marriott it was excellent. We had an issue when a vendor for our boat trip tried to deliver our trip video to the wrong room. The Marriott sent a representative to our room to help retrieve our video from the other room which was a nice gesture. We used the concierge to book a trip to James Bond island, etc and it was wonderful. I can't say enough about the JW here as the management and experience was memorable.

A very cool modern resort is located in a tranquil Mai Khao beach. The service was really excellent, and really impressive. (Maybe because I had been tired of being ripping off & attemped cheating in Kata beach.) The only problem is that the Mai Khao beach is not as enjoyable and safe as the other well know beaches, and I usually stayed in the pool facing the ocean. However, I joined snorkeling trip when I really missed good beaches. You can take frequent shuttle service to the nearby Turtle village, which has a supermarket & a couple of dining options.

Our first family trip to Phuket and we were very impressed to say the least. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and had everything we needed and more. The resort and staff were excellent. Everyone was quite friendly except one dining experience in Siam Deli where the staff seemed to ignore us. The food at breakfast buffet and all the restaurants we ate at good, but not great. The hotel is located directly on the beach which was nice too. We happened to stop by the Mai Khao resort by accident. The JW and Beach Club is leaps and bounds better so I would recommend spending the extra money if you can afford it. One of the disadvantages of the resort location was most of the tours/activities are pretty far away. We usually travelled 45-60 Mins each time. So if you don’t mind that we highly recommend this resort, especially for families wanting to get away from the hustle of bustle of city life.

Marvellous boutique hotel overlooking the very peaceful Mai Khao beach, a few minutes away from the airport (soundproofing is good, you won't be disturbed by planes during your sleep). Staff is incredible and very attentioned. The restaurant provides an excellent buffet breakfast and tasty meals 24h/24. Why I only give 4 stars to facilities - Hotel looks quite new but some finishes are degrading real fast (paint in the bathroom and exterior roughcast), they need to be taken care of. Pool could be cleaned a little better too, there is algae growing at some spots. Excellent wifi (measured around 40mb down, 10mbps up). I even managed to get wifi reception on the beach! Will definitely come again.

We had a lovely room with a pool and were located as requested in the room next to our friend's. We had a lovely time. There is basically one restaurant on the property and a nice pool, but other options nearby. We loved the beach, but it is a 5-10min walk. The staff was very accommodating and helped us book taxis and call other places for reservations on our behalf. Fantastic hospitality!

A nicely presented, new, hotel. It’s in a very tranquil setting on Mai Khao beach. Although very near the airport runway, we were not disturbed at all bytge aircraft. In fact it was good to go and look at them from the beach. The main attraction of this hotel is a very large pool area behind the whole length of the hotel. Great for families. The negatives for us where that at the moment it seems the hotel is geared for Chinese tour groups. The two ladies that checked us in were very nice, however the staff in general didn’t seem very friendly or welcoming.
