The hotel is shown as four star hotel in Agoda, more like a Three Star plus instead of a proper four star hotel. Positive aspects : 1. The rooms, lobby, hallway, etc looks new and smells new. The room itself is fantastic, brand new and very clean. They have a very smart bathroom will all glass door, and choice between normal shower and rain-shower for bathing. 2. The staff is very helpful and always put a smile on their face. 3. The lobby and the waiting area looks very luxurious. 4. Great location, just a stroll to nearest MRT. Food is available 24 hours with Burger King, McDonalds, and KFC just around the corner. 5. Located just opposite HSBC tower. 6. Just a short walk to Central Market, Dataran Merdeka, and you can even walk to Petaling Street. the downside : 1. Room is comparably smaller for a four star hotel standard. Conclusion : Still a very nice and pleasant experience staying in this hotel. Clearly the upside is more than the downside of this hotel.

Booked a normal room but got upgraded to superior which give us a very good first impression of the hotel. The room is spacious and nice with 4 star hotel ambience. Toilet is large and nice. The area is located in the middle of bukit bintang and pasar seni area. Go out of the hotel you turn left and you are heading to bukit bintang. Turn to the right there you have petaling street. The price are super cheap for a really nice hotel. In front of the hotel is pudu sentral where you can easily find transportation around the city. Uber? There are tons of uber drivers around. The area is always full of tourist until 10pm as the street infront of the hotel is the main road connecting pedestrian from petaling street to bukit bintang. And to the management please teach your foreign worker to respect the customers. Dont stares at the girls like hungry dogs

My wife and I enjoyed our two stays at the Ancasa Hotel during July. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we received prompt attention. The hotel is best used as a base for touring as there is not a lot to do in the hotel itself. It is very handy to Chinatown which was a great experience for us both. It is also close to a 'Hop On Hop Off' bus stop and the LTR system which is easy to use. Within easy walking distance and close to the Post Office is the Central Market which cannot be missed during your stay.

For tourists this is great, 5 min walk to Masjid Jamek station. Masjid Jamek mosque and associated old colonial buildings a stonesthrow away, great examples of older colonial architecture. Indian food all along the hotel's particular street, esp Betel Leaf is locally famous here for great chettinad southern indian style food. LOKL a quality cafe a few streets down for good coffee and cafe food. Walk 20 mins to Kl tower rainforest walk for a nice free nature hike or jog and treetop canopy walk. Early Morning jog up and down along the river of life walkway. Chinatown 20min walk or LRT to Pasar Seni. Need to post something, go to the main malaysia post big HQ building in pasar seni. Pharmacies, 711, sim card digi phone shops, usual western junk food kfc etc starbucks, all conveniences near by.

Stayed for 3 nights at deluxe room with my wife and 9 yrs old daughter. Room was so cozy eventhough the bed was queen size but that's ok for 3 of us. The location was so silent since it far from highway and main streets but situated at a crowded stalls that sell cheap and unique merchandises and things like that. We pay the hotel through Agoda with very best price and come with various breakfast everyday. They got steamed rice, fried rice, sausage, fruits, bread, porridge and juice. With such a price like that, it is absolutely value for money (my child was free to have breakfast at no cost at all) 120 meters to Masjid Jamek LRT Station and that will take you to Kuala Lumpur around using railed transportation. Gonna come again to this hotel next time.

There are a lot of things I love about Big M Hotel. Before I booked my hotel in KL, I was checking online the reviews. And I did the right choice in staying here. IDEAL LOCATION It has the best location. The train station is just a few meters away. Just at the back of the hotel. So, it’s easier to go to the different places in KL. There are fast food chains in the area. McDo just next door (same bldg). KFC & Burger King are just across. There is also Guardian next to McDo, 7 Eleven & local convenience store across. Central Market, Chinatown, KL City Gallery, temples, Catholic Church, Mosque are just walking distance. Oh! Even KL Tower is just about 30-min walk. ACCOMMODATING & FRIENDLY STAFF When I arrived in the hotel, it was too early for the check in. I requested if I can early check in, and I was so happy that they let me. I was able to leave my stuff. They were all smiling and accommodating. They helped me check in the room, waited for my grab and gave me instructions on how to get to where I want to go. They even let me leave my stuff after I checked out. There is always a staff in the reception area assisting the staff. And they responded to my query and chat in their FB page. I just wish I got their names but unfortunately, I was not able to. But I can commend all of them. COMFORTABLE STAY The room is not so small and not so big. Given that I am alone, this is enough. Even if I have companion, the room is good enough. There is a shelf where can I put my stuff. There is a table, a phone, toiletries. The bed is so comfortable. I had a good sleep. I had a good rest in the afternoon. They gave me free water when I asked. And the blower did a pretty good job during my stay. Hehe. I love also there 7th floor. Where guests can stay, relax and eat. Though I was there just for a few minutes but I love how quiet and relaxing the place. I could definitely recommend this place to my friends and family going to KL. Positives: - Location is good. Very close to all the main attraction / tourist spots . Can reach any of these places by walking (15mins). - Room was very clean and appealing with modern design, also the bathroom. Shower was great. - Hotel most suited for business people. - Good breakfast. - Excellent value for money. Negatives: - Staff was not very friendly or helpful.

If you are a budget traveler, but you still want a nice place that is close in, then 5 Elements is a good choice for you. My room was large, there was adequate storage, the AC worked well and the amenities were very nice. All the staff I dealt with, especially my housekeeper (for room 1009), was exceptional. If I wasn’t too tired from my day, I could walk home from the Central Market (which has DHL shipping office, as well as local shops) or catch a cab. Food is good in the in-house restaurant and food abounds in Chinatown on the street or little restaurants along every road. Truly, the 5 Elements is a great choice for it’s facilities, as well as it’s location. Try it, I am sure you will be as pleased as I was.

My first time at Avenue J Hotel. I took a punt for a five-day stay. Wasn't expecting too much. But Avenue J Hotel exceeded my expectations. Beautiful hotel in a heritage building. Rooms are small but comfortable, very clean, quiet, very safe, and within walking distance of main tourist and shopping sites. Staff are wonderful: very helpful, friendly; nothing is too much for them. Courteous at all times. Splendidly managed. My future stays will be at the Avenue J Hotel. And I recommend Avenue J Hotel to all.

I checked into Arenaa Star on the 21st October and stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very pleasant stay. First and foremost after putting down my luggage, I ventured to the hotel's open air restaurant located on the Mezzanine floor. The seafood olio oglio I ordered was good. I also tried grilled chicken and lamb chop on subsequent days and they are all ridiculously cheap yet extremely tasty. Wow! The friendly and courteous staffs made the ambience all the more better. When it comes to the accomodation, I must say that it has the coziest bed and pillows for you to rest after a long walk tour around KL which you can easiy access via the LRT and is just a walking distance from Chinatown. Not to mention the big and modern bathroom, flat wide screen tv and various themes that represents each floor. For example the 1st Floor represents the Malaysian stars thus you will see the portraits of the local entertainers painted on the wall along the hallways to every hotel room. Not to mention the Hollywood, Bollywood, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Korea etc. You might have a pleasant surprise to see that one of them happens to be your favourite! So in conclusion, Arenaa Stars lives up to its name and is very recommendable for the budget value and comfort.

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel...the 1st night I was given a twin bed room, but allowed to change to a double bed room for the next 2 nights when rooms are available. Spacious, comfortable room with surprisingly extra facilities like - a sofa with sofa table, hair dryer, toilet bowl with bidet, safe box, double shower head and room service indicator buttons. The rooftop swimming pool is a great add-on..despite slightly small, it is a relaxing place to be at with sunbeds and a city view. Gym is decent though a little hot. On the last day of my stay, the hotel manager actually offered to help mail out my parcel, as all post offices were already closed by then.. great service and hospitality! Found out that there were shuttle services to several parts of the cities but didn't get to utilize them.. Nevertheless, location is convenient enough with a Malay street market just outside (several yummy food sold there), LRT/bus station further down, and Chinatown street with lots of good food just nearby. Overall, a great hotel for the price! Had a very pleasant stay and wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back during my future KL trips!

I think it's quite a new hotel, run by Tamil staff. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideally situated close to LRT Pasar Seni, Central Market, Kasturi Walk, Jalan Petaling, etc. Not much character, but excellent value, clean, quiet and everything one needs. Great views over the city from window - National Mosque, etc. We booked 3 hotels in Malaysia on this trip, and Lavana was the best (the friendliest and and also the cheapest by a long way). One problem with all hotels was the snail-like Wifi, ironic as there are signs everywhere reading that Malaysia is getting up to speed, 500 Mbps - well, they have a long way to go, and that's compared to Lombok, where I live.

Initially I thought this hotel is just an old regular hotel with just so-so service. However it is a very nice hotel to stay as the price is cheap while the room has a bathtub, refrigerator as well as good wifi signal. The breakfast also good with several variety of food, very friendly staff, very strategic location. But the hallway to room is a bit smelly as this is old hotel. I give 4 stars and highly recommended.

hotel chinatown 2 was an amazing little hotel! i had the single room with no window which was perfect. it was very small but super clean and the room was set up very functionally so it doesn't feel small at all. hbo was a bonus, internet worked in the room, shower pressure and hear were amazing! it's right on the petaling street, which is the main walking market in kl so you're right in the middle of the action. there's also a lrt and bus station near bye so getting around the city from there was a breeze. the man who runs the hotel is probably the friendliest guy you'll ever meet and gives you tons of advice and tips without you even having to ask for it. i was booked for 3 nights but ended up staying 5. great place, i'll def be back.

Booked for a 3 days 2 nights stay here. For the last night, I ended up partying and came back very late and I eventually woke up at 1.15 pm. Thanks to the great staffs which gave me grace time to check out by 2.30 pm else, i'll be charged. Really recommend this hotel for cheap stay in Kuala Lumpur yet give you the best. Its what you would expect from a 3 star hotel. The location was prefect. Nearby to night markets like Chinatown, Masjid India and nearby to Central Market and Pudu too! Only thing was the walls were not painted neatly and The lighting of the room is not as picture posted.

Room: Booked a Superior Double room and to my surprise was the largest room category over there. The room was small but it did have a wonderful bed and clean tiles flooring. a perfect room for couple of day of stay, Minibar: coffee, tea and biscuits available in the room.. funny though. Bathroom - Bathroom was spacious and clean. no amenities available except shower cap. Location: located just 2- seconds walk to Masjid Jamek LRT Station (Kelana Jaya Line) where it was an interchange station to Ampang Line and Sri Petaling Line. lots of markets and shops nerby. A few minutes walk to Dataran Merdeka and Sultan Abdul Samad Building. BUT, if your flight depart early in the morning, try pre-book a taxi before staying at this hotel as there are no taxi available at hotel nearby and the LRT service only started at 6am every morning. Service - Staff is friendly and smile always. Check-in takes less than 10 minutes. So far everything was good and the housekeeping did their good job in cleaning my room. Value: Value for money as the hotel location just 2 station away to KL Sentral via Masjid Jamek LRt Station... KL Sentral was KL main transportation hub. F&B: This hotel does not have restaurant.

i always consider location and availability of my needs whenever i choose a hotel particularly if it's only a short trip. in my recent visit to malaysia's capital, i stayed in hotel 1915 kuala lumpur and i was content with everything. despite the small room-area, i like the fact that the toilet and shower (hot & cold) and the rest of the room are clean. its location in lebuh ampang is its main advantage that takes any guest/tourist/traveler near to mrt masjid jamek station (about 5 min walk), chinatown (petaling street, about 10-15min walk), and of course little india where its located. another best factor of hotel 1915 in kl is its vicinity has pharmacy (makes you feel safe about your traveling), convenient store downstairs, and a lot of food places -both commercial fastfood joints and local restaurants. i also like the fact that the hotel provides distilled drinking water every floor with its dispenser. that's petty to some but an important necessity during a trip. overall, i am happy with my stay there as the staff too were very accomodating & friendly. i would consider reserving a room again when i get a chance to be back in kl.

Got a room for 2 nights at the 7th floor (of total 9 floors). Was pleasantly surprised by the room quality considering it's a very budget hotel. Location wise, it has good and bad. The good thing is that it's situated right in the heart of the city and easily accessible to Times Square and the likes. There were only 2 cons that i found inevitable. Firstly, the hotel is situated next to a main road, so the room might not be as quiet as you wanted it to be (despite the fact that i've been given the so called "quiet" room) as there were a lot of passing vehicles especially during the peak hour. However, things do get a lot better at night and sleeping is not a problem at all. Suitable for tourists who are solely looking for a place to sleep only at night. Secondly, the hotel does not have a private car park compound, therefore, a disadvantage to those who drives. However, there is a third party parking compound right next to the hotel within a walking distance with a daily reasonable flat rate. Breakfast is provided for free but it's very basic with acceptable quality. Free wifi is also provided in room. All in all, it's a very good experience for me while staying in this hotel.

PROS : STAFF OR RECEPTIONIST VERY ATTENTIVE WHEN YOU HAVE SOME QUESTIONS, THEY ANSWER WITH A BIG SMILE THATS A BIG THING TO ME, THEY KNOW HOW TO HANDLE CUSTOMER, AFFORTABLE & HUGE SPACE, VALUE FOR MONEY, NEAR CHINATOWN AND MRT, if you looking for descent and huge room dont hesitate to book this hotel, for 4days i stayed there hotel most of their staff are old but they work hard and they clean the room everyday , and if you will check out just give the key thats it no question ask. And one more thing the wfi has strong signal. Cons. : old building & not much to offer facilities but still good accommodation if you looking for affordable , clean & you have peace of when you leave your room.

Hotel Geo: Kuala Lumpur This is a wonderful budget hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Located across from the Central Market and a few steps from LRT Pasar Seni Station, which is only a couple of stops from KL Sentral. The main post office is nearby, a short walk across a canal bridge. The National Mosque is maybe a ten minute walk depending on your walking stride. You also have the souvenir and al fresco Chinese restaurant street Jalan Petaling a couple of blocks from the hotel’s front door. Service from the front desk was top drawer. When I requested a room change so that I could view the National Mosque’s blue dome from my window, the front desk staff did it for me within minutes. I stayed here for a week. Great stay! Worth every ringgit!

This is a hotel not only the gimmick which just attracts tourists to have a stay and upload photos to Instagram. It is a very beautiful hotel near to the best community in the city: Chinatown. I really like how they apply the air well traditional architectural feature to all the private rooms especially the lowest floor with a garden, with natural lights and rain coming inside. If there is a chair it will be great for guests to sit in front of the garden to feel more relaxed. The hotel room is also appreciated as all the furnitures are in traditional style. I can enjoy the garden view on my bed as well, and before sleeping I liked turning off all the light in the room, leaving the only stage light on in the garden. The breakfast is a way to understand the Nanyang food culture. They also provide free and high quality drink every day in their coffee shop.

Location is spot on, it is right in front of Plaza Rakayat bus terminal and the train. It is also within walking distance from Masjid Jamek (10 minutes) which is a main metro station and the city walk (KL city gallery, Sultan Abdelsamad, Merdeka square) On the other side you walk to the street with many restaurants, street food hawkers and shopping malls like Lot 10, Fahrenheit and Pavilion. All within walking distance The room I stayed at had no window unfortunately, so I recommend you request that when you book. It was a small room with all the necessities covered, but the walls weren't thick as I could hear people talk or the TV sometimes. The room was cleaned daily. Breakfast is mainly Indian (rice, noodles, potatoes, bread, boiled eggs, jam and butter) and the staff were friendly and efficient. The wifi is pretty decent in the lobby and rooms although sometimes it disconnected ,so I had to reconnect again. Overall, I would recommend it.

The location is pretty much perfect. In the middle of the city, to the left of the front door is the Metro station to take you anywhere in the city that you want to go and to the right is Petaling Street. There are restaurants nearby and the Central Market. A+ for location. The single rooms are pretty small and no windows but they're cheap and clean and big enough for one. My biggest problem was that all the single beds are located on the ground floor which means you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the lobby and at the front desk at all hours of the day and night. I asked to be moved and because all the single beds are on that floor, I'd have to upgrade to a double bed to switch to a different floor. So if you're not a light sleeper and want a cheap and comfy private room. This is the hotel for you.

The hotel is very convenient being accessible to all types of transportation. 5 to 10 minutes away from the LRT, train, and bus terminals. Near to main tourist attractions such as Central Market, China Town, Merdeka Square, National Art Gallery, Temples, and others. No need to ride you can walk to go there. The family room where we stayed is perfect for us. The staff is very nice and helpful, not to mention that they speak good English. They taught us where to ride and how to go to places the easiest way. The room is also clean. The heater and air con work well. Although, the wi-fi is not that fast. Overall, 5-stars rating for this hotel, and will definitely recommend to all who wish to visit Malaysia.
