I would consider this hotel stay as one of my best ever hotel stay ever! The room come standard with Chiro-Bed !! Had the best sleep ever in a hotel room! :) Having their own secure multi-level parking lot is also a plus from me. You can see security everywhere. Room was great and the people was great!

As I had a meeting just on the mainland side of the causeway, we decided to try the new Eastin on Penang at on the recommendation of a friend and save the drive up to Georgetown. The hotel is well signposted once you cross the causeway and head towards Bayan Lepas, so easy to find. On arrival it turns out that I'd managed to book for the following week by mistak...As I had a meeting just on the mainland side of the causeway, we decided to try the new Eastin on Penang at on the recommendation of a friend and save the drive up to Georgetown. The hotel is well signposted once you cross the causeway and head towards Bayan Lepas, so easy to find. On arrival it turns out that I'd managed to book for the following week by mistake! This was quickly and efficiently sorted out at reception and all with a smile. The room was a deluxe with sea view and whilst small, was well appointed with everything you would expect. There was free (and fast) wi-fi internet too, which is a pleasant change from many Malaysia/Singapore hotels. The bed was super comfortable and very relaxing after the drive up from KL. The view was nice and sunrise over the nearby island was spectacular. Nearby is the Queensbay Mall and dirctly behind the hotel are a few rows of shops with a couple of bars mixed in for good measure. Don't be put off by the industrial description of Bayan Lepas, Queensbay is a realy nice up and coming area and I may just have my eye on an apartment there following our stay! Good breakfast with all the usual choices of eastern and western food. All in all, a nice hotel that deserves to get custom with the mainland, Georgetown and the airport all within easy reach.

It may not much, but this is a nice gesture that other hotels could take example. Usually, in other hotels, the only free thing in the freezer is mineral water :D. - Definitely a value for money. It maybe expensive but it is worth it as you can actually spend a whole day in the hotel as it offer lot of activities for your family (pool, gym, excellent kids area, remote control car track) without spending additional dime. Cons - Location. The hotel situated in an uninterested areas of penang surrounded by rural area. There is no interesting place within walking distance, you will have to drive to see the best of Penang. It does have a seaview though. - The food (in room services) could be improved. It is expensive, but personally I have experiences better food with less price in other hotels.

if you are looking to expect a 5-star hotel room & service, stick to equatorial while in penang. this is no "syiok-sendiri" accredition like most hotels especially those along tanjung bunga & batu ferringhi. i booked 2 nights from agoda.com & got a room that is exactly how it was portrayed online (1st star point). i called the hotel to inform of my late arrival & ch...if you are looking to expect a 5-star hotel room & service, stick to equatorial while in penang. this is no "syiok-sendiri" accredition like most hotels especially those along tanjung bunga & batu ferringhi. i booked 2 nights from agoda.com & got a room that is exactly how it was portrayed online (1st star point). i called the hotel to inform of my late arrival & check-in and was reassured of my room & requests (2nd star point). i arrive late-evening to a seemless check-in process in less than 5 minutes (3rd star point). i went up to the room with the bellman behind me and was courteously shown the room and... now this was something i hardly experience in any 5-star hotel in malaysia, the bellman politely asked my permission to store my luggage, suit & clothes in the cupboard! that was almost butler like service (4th++ star point). and finally, the room & ambience. spacious & quiet. not with thin walls where you can hear everything that goes on in the hallway. excellent house-keeping where they folded my clothes & put aside. spacious balcony too that was nicely swept and not left to dust. although it was a smoking room it could do with a small sun-lounger of just a a nice chair on the balcony to enjoy the open air or have breakfast. (5th++ star point nonetheless). definitely a 1st choice for a 5-star experience in penang if you can live without the beach. hopefully they could renovate the lobby area or upgrade it as its pretty much the same architecturally from 10 years ago. but ofcourse that would involve closing off a whole section of it & the hotel for that matter.

We were staying for 3 nights at here. Overall were good as our training centre SBI just a stone throw away distance. But might need to remind during booking if you need an extremely quite environment to sleep as there are few rooms which will be noisy during late night time. Its located just opposite of Setia SPICE Arena Penang. A budget place compares to big hotels nearby. Booked a triple room, which has 1 double bed and 1 single bed. The room is simple and decent. The shower cream is provided and there is iron facility too. Nothing much to complain, it's just that it will be better if there is a mirror in the room as we have to hustle in...Its located just opposite of Setia SPICE Arena Penang. It was a good accomodation place and have a very good value for money, very friendly staffs, the cleanliness of facilities is very good and the facilities itself is really in top-tier. Overall, its tagline 'the best boutique hotel' said it all. It is a newly operated hotel (about four months) so the facilities are in the good condition. The staff performance is above the par and they attend to your concerns patiently. Iron and hairdryer are provided so you need not to worry about bringing these two items while traveling. The lobby staff was very friendly as i check in. The porter was very kind to carry our luggage although we only have little luggage. We stay at top floor (15th floor) but the lift was fast to reach from lobby. Room and Interiors was the best that i ever stayed in all Malaysia Hotels. Location was in the residential area in Penang Island. The view from window was magnificient. If public transport in Penang is very convenient then this hotel can be recommended or else have to have a car.
