Hotels near Maxwell Food Centre

Hotel located in Chinatown district and has own lift access to Outram Park MTR station, which offers direct links to key subway stations across the city and beyond including Changi airport. Hotel offers checking out guests luggage storage and use of swimming pool and shower room facility to freshen up if taking late flights, like we did. We paid for more spacious deluxe king bed room however, housekeeping could pay more attention to cleaning carpets in corners and close to skirting boards where dust has collected over time. Overall, rooms and linens clean and free bottled water supplied daily. Didn’t use hotel bar or restaurant as food choices not to our preferebce. Micro brewery bar opposite and Chinatown a short walk or one stop tube away with the Maxwell food centre. Reception Staff very helpful.

I booked this hotel for a stopover for 3 nights. My room was great, big and by the looks of things, recently refurbished with glassed off wetroom/bathroom and big window. My only criticism of the room (and possibly every room although I don't know) was that it was a tiny bit damp. I've experienced that a lot in hot countries including Australia and Malta (even in 5 star hotels) so it's not the fault of the hotel necessarily. It was totally clean and well-looked after but if you are sensitive to it with Asthma or the like, perhaps not the most perfect choice. Otherwise, it was great. Good buffet breakfast too. Although they could get a better white wine choice at the bar. Only one choice and it was a sweet one. Blah. The location, for me, was perfect. A hop, skip and a jump to Chinatown, across the road from a non-glitzy shopping mall with food courts called People's Park which I loved. That was full of massage places, frame shops for cheap glasses and some great food - especially directly across the road from the hotel at a little outside food place called Cafe 168 (i think) I ate much better and far cheaper there than I did in the outside food street stalls in Chinatown which were really overpriced. It's also a 10-15 min walk straight down Cross St to Lau Pa Sat, a beautiful old colonial building housing countless hawker stalls. It's famous, good and cheap, worth a visit. The hotel is also super-close to Chinatown MRT stop which is about 3 direct stops to Little India and other connections. All in all, a good choice for me and I would go back.

Pocrelain Hotel located in central of China Town and close to MRT Station Exit"A". We can travel to our destinations & return back to Hotel by MRT. The Hotel is clean and smoking prohibited, this best for our family. You can find good restaurants and hawkers around China Town Area such as Ya Kun Kaya Toast @Far East Square. Tian Tian Haineanese Chicken Rice & Zhen Zhen Pork Porridge @Maxwell Road Food Centre,Lau Woh Soup (recommned Buddha jump over the wall) @Chinatown Complex Food Center Smith Street etc. Don't miss to visit Tooth Relic Temple (Chinese Temple) & Sri Mariamman Temple (Singapore's oldest Hindu Temple).

The hotel is clean and AC is strong even in common area. The room is nice and clean and amenities are abundant. Beds are very comfortable. The room is not big, but is adequate. You can ask for more bottle water at the front desk. Front desk staff were very helpful and courteous. They gave us helpful suggestions and booksd taxi/Grab for us. Location is great, walking distance to Chinatown Point plaza, People's Park, Maxwell Food center, the major religious site seeing places, food street, train station etc. The only thing I wish they had was self serve laundry, but I know that is uncommon in hotels there.

Booked this hotel with my siblings for a weekend getaway in Singapore. Location is very convenient! It's near the Chinatown Complex and Chinatown Food Street, and is walking distance to a Money Changer, the MRT, lots of hawker places like Maxwell Food Centre, and convenience stores. Staff is very friendly, breakfast buffet is good, and the amenities were way more than what I expected with slippers, fluffy towels, shampoo and soap, a vault, a ref, coffee and tea, fast WiFi, and a TV.

I was so much happy to access to Hotel81 very easy by SMRT's northeast Line and getting off at China Town station's exit E. Furthermore, you can find lots of food & beverages around the hotel such as Maxwell, China Town food street, or the stores at underground of People's park building - it's so cheap & pleasant. For sight seeing, it's many tourist attractions : for example; Buddha Relic Tooth temple or Sri Mariamman temple. In addtional, you can get the Clarke Quay by walking. Regarding safety & transpotation, the hotel is centrally located in the safest area & trasportation hub where you are able to travel easily. Hotel staff aspect, I would say that they were very kind personality, you can get the useful information from them then they can be defied as helpful staff. So far, I am very satisfy my trip, the hotel, and this country every much. If you wanna tralvel alone I recommend you to try as I have done. Good luck & have a pleasant trip in Singapore la' ^_^

stayed here with a friend and they made us very very welcome. the room was small but comfortable and clean with good bathroom and great shower. we did have a window but shutters would not open-a shame as i like to see the view! no other quibbles, though, the location in tiong bahru is excellent-a quiet neighbourhood, really interesting to walk around. a short walk to chinatown or to the mrt. one of the reasons for choosing the hotel was its proximity (just over the road) to tiong bahru market with its famous food centre. this certainly did not disappoint! some of the best food i've ever tasted and a nice open setting to eat it in. the everyday market downstairs is also well worth a look. for swimmers or even non-swimmers there is a lovely pool terrace on the roof of the hotel with a view over the trees and the surrounding area. would definitely recommend the nostalgia if you'd like a taste of old style suburban singapore.

Have a great week stayed here in Butternut tree hotel. The staff here is very helpful and friendly. Thanks Nahnah the receptionist to allow me to checked in at 10am due to my emergency of rushing to SGH. The only things that i think it can be improved will be the wifi , as the XL room i stayed mostly i can’t connect to the wifi. Is a very good location here. 2-3min walk to Bus station and Taxi Stand. 2-3min walked to outram park station. 2-3min walked to chinatown food complex. 5-8min walked to chinatown point. 8-10min walked to Maxwell Food Court. 10-15min walked to Singapore National Hospital. Is easy to access to all location with walking distance. Will definitely comeback again !

Location is perfect - in the heart of Chinatown, very short walk to Pagoda Street, Chinatown MRT, Chinatown Food Street and Maxwell Road Hawker Markets. 10 minute walk to Clarke Quay. Room was not huge but space was good for Singapore, in my experience. Good AC. No windows may be an issue for some but for these two weary travelers on a stopover, that was ideal. No shower recess in bathroom so much of the floor gets wet - not a big deal in my opinion. Staff were friendly and helpful. They stored our bags before and after our stay with no fuss and helped us check in a little bit early.

The hotel is located directly opposite the Chinatown MRT station, making it easy to navigate Singapore with ease. Buses are also closeby. The hotel is close to several hawker centres, all within easy walking distance including Chinatown Complex Food Centre, Hong Lim Food Centre, People's Park Food Centre, and Maxwell Food Centre is a tad further away, but still easily accessible by foot! The staff were very pleasant, room was compact but still could move around with ease and not feel trapped, and the hotel offers discounted tickets to sights/attractions. No hesitation staying here again or recommending it to other solo travellers!

Hotel 81 Osaka is newly open, the hotel location is between Outram Park MRT station and Tiong Bahru. You should come out from MRT station Platform A, with ~5 mins walk then crossing the road to Tiong Bahru side, you will see the hotel at the corner. Although the room size is small but good in condition and clean. Room rate i pay average ok, since i going out most of the time and just need a room for sleep at night. You can find local food centre at Tiong Bahru market by walking distance ~5 mins walk or walking to Chinatown from hotel also ~5 mins. Chinatown is just nearby Outram Park MRT station.

We chose this hotel because of the location and we were correct. It was a 4 minutes walk (or less) to Chinatown complex and 15 minutes to Maxwell food center. As this was a 3day 2night stopover before our cruise, I found it was perfect for what we were looking for. One note: the room is very small. Finally, the breakfast included was great. It was not regular hotel breakfast and I had the Indonesian style one, a little spicy but great. I will stay there again.

Despite its shortcomings in room space, a lift, and breakfast provision, the friendly staff make up for everything that it lacks. The hotel is ideally located smack in the middle of everything--the People's Park, fruit stands, hawkers' turo turo (as we call little restaurants in the Philippines with an array of food to point at for orders), thrift shops, bars, and best of all the MRT and the souvenir shops. The room that I booked was well-kept and clean, had a television set, a personal ref, fresh towels and toiletries. I understand if there are limitations in space which management cannot do anything about anymore. The friendliness of the staff and the welcoming atmosphere of the place is more than enough to compensate for any of its shortcomings. I recommend, though, that they make their hotel signages more attractive and inviting to make it look recent. Thank you and definitely I will choose The Inn at Temple Street again id

Had 3 nights here in a family deluxe 6 sleeper. Beds were comfy, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, great location, MRT around the corner, food outside your door. If you are looking for a bed and a good shower after sightseeing all day it is great, if your going to spend a lot of time in the room, a little small. We are a family of 5 (3 teen boys) and to be able to book only 1 room was a huge money saver.

I and my friend stay here for 4 days. A location is near market where you can find a lot of food with cheap price (2-3 SGD). Then you can use bus or MRT to go anywhere in Singapore. Overall, a location is the best for this hotel. About the room, it's clean, good view, air conditioner is cool, Wi-fi with strong signal, staff are friendly. My opinion: no need to spend more money for expensive hotel, just New Cape Inn, save money for your food and entertainment in Singapore.

Link Hotel has a unique history and located a short walk from a great hawker food centre. Hotel is clean and elegant with special Singapore images. We were adequately provided with a queen bed and cot, bottled water was tiny but appreciated. Taxi/Grab was more convenient than waiting for bus or walking relatively far to MRT (with children, outdoors). I did not have chance to try the Small gym, rooftop bar, but the reading nook was nice

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Six Senses Duxton, from the smooth check in to the 10/10 service from the staff our stay was nothing short of fabulous. We were disappointed to find out that the pool at Maxwell was shut for an event but reception offered us an amazing solution and we ended up dining at The Yellow Pot (recommend the mee sua noodles and the sirloin black pepper beef cubes). We booked the Opium room and I was thrilled to soak up the chinoiserie and dark mysterious vibe from A. Hempel. We even headed to the Maxwell location for a western breakfast the following morning, think sourdough croissant, banana parfait, eggs Benedict crab cakes, chicken waffles to name a few of our selects. I would absolutely return again and perhaps book a different suite the next time:-)

This hotel is in good Location, you can travel by MRT, Outram park station. It's near Maxwell food court. If you looking forward to delicious and cheap meals, it's good Place. You can walking ariunf chinatown, I think it's good to begin your trip from here. Hotel's staff are friendly, helpfull and great welcome. I think that if I can go back again, I will chose this hotel.

Was right in the centre of Chinatown and very close to Chinatown train. Room was very clean-a bit noisy but if you want quiet probably the centre of the city is not the best place to go. Did have room safe and hot water for coffee etc. As they say on Agoda the lift and escalator are long term broken so have to carry luggage up 2 stairs. Contrary to the other reviews my room did not seem to be haunted-there were strange noises but I think that was pigeons outside.

Very easy to get to from the airport using the Train. The nearest station is Chinatown and there is a Exit/Entrance in the alleyway right next to the hotel (approx. 70 metres). Room was small but clean. Was the best value we could find in Singapore. We stayed for 2 nights. On the first night there was an issue with the power. Seemed like a fuse kept blowing. Luckily it was late and were already in bed and didn't need any lights etc. The Issue was in another room in the hotel and fixed for the second night. Within walking distance to Satay Street and Marina Bay Sands. Hope to return in the future!

Shortly after the booking was made, I was contacted by the hotel promptly regarding the check in process . Even though I was arriving at the apartment very late at night - 1am, they made the arrangements for the guest relations manager - Desmond to meet me at the apartment without any additional odd hour check in charges which is exceptional for an establishment with no onsite reception. Through out my stay, Desmond has always been outstanding in providing good customer service. There was once I left my access card in the room while going out for a smoke effectively locking myself out, Desmond promptly came to my rescue even though it was outside of his official working hours. This is some thing that I really appreciated! The apartment itself though compact is well-quipped and centrally located. Everything was brand new and the amenities provided were of good quality. The only gripes I had is probably of the noise occasionally coming from the hostel upstairs which I do understand is outside of the apartment's control (though to be fair I am a light sleeper who is extremely sensitive to noise). The apartment however was remarkable in doing their best to help me by offering me complimentary ear plugs and even the option to transfer if all else fails. I eventually stayed on as with the ear plugs, the noise was not vey significant. Overall, it was a good experience and I will not hesitate to recommend this cosy apartment!
