The hotel is shown as four star hotel in Agoda, more like a Three Star plus instead of a proper four star hotel. Positive aspects : 1. The rooms, lobby, hallway, etc looks new and smells new. The room itself is fantastic, brand new and very clean. They have a very smart bathroom will all glass door, and choice between normal shower and rain-shower for bathing. 2. The staff is very helpful and always put a smile on their face. 3. The lobby and the waiting area looks very luxurious. 4. Great location, just a stroll to nearest MRT. Food is available 24 hours with Burger King, McDonalds, and KFC just around the corner. 5. Located just opposite HSBC tower. 6. Just a short walk to Central Market, Dataran Merdeka, and you can even walk to Petaling Street. the downside : 1. Room is comparably smaller for a four star hotel standard. Conclusion : Still a very nice and pleasant experience staying in this hotel. Clearly the upside is more than the downside of this hotel.

Booked a normal room but got upgraded to superior which give us a very good first impression of the hotel. The room is spacious and nice with 4 star hotel ambience. Toilet is large and nice. The area is located in the middle of bukit bintang and pasar seni area. Go out of the hotel you turn left and you are heading to bukit bintang. Turn to the right there you have petaling street. The price are super cheap for a really nice hotel. In front of the hotel is pudu sentral where you can easily find transportation around the city. Uber? There are tons of uber drivers around. The area is always full of tourist until 10pm as the street infront of the hotel is the main road connecting pedestrian from petaling street to bukit bintang. And to the management please teach your foreign worker to respect the customers. Dont stares at the girls like hungry dogs

Booked Ahyu Hotel from good ratings in Agoda from 8-10 Dec '18. Since this was the first time we went to Kuala Lumpur, at first we were confused to stay in which hotel. But convinced by the reviews here (thanks a lot reviewers!) then decided to book at Ahyu. We weren't expected that this hotel was thia good! More than our expectation. The staffs are nice (most of them will smile or greets you all the time). The hotel was minimalistic, the corridors are built from bricks and the room was great! It was such a worth it! It's so value for money! I got a vacant room with no window. The room is so spacious for budget hotel. Nice and clean. The AC works so well (we even turn off the AC midnight before bed but it still cold in the morning). Wifi, hairdyer and hot shower work well. McD & KFC, Guardian & Watsons just around the corner. Station Masjid Jameek just a few minutes away. Most of our time, we went by Grabcar to explore the city rather than by train (we haven't even tried the bus). But using Grabcar wasn't that expensive. Usually around 6RM-15RM, you can go to some of Malaysia famous places. The Twin Towers, Pavillion KL , KL Sentral just a few km away. It's safe to say that we will come back to this hotel whenever we are in KL. So recommended!

This is a fairly new hotel, and so inside is still crisp and bright, with the exception of the carpets in the lifts, which could do with either cleaning or changing. Our room on the fourth floor was very comfortable, with a flat screen TV and a bathroom with a great i.e. powerful, hot shower. Our room was cleaned and sheets and towels changed daily. The only down-side we noticed was the night we had noisy neighbours, and then we thought that the dividing walls must be paper thin. Despite overlooking the market we heard no outside noise at all. We had some problems with the key card to our door but staff were helpful and efficiently sorted the problem out. There are 2 PCs in the lobby area where you can access the Internet FOC, and if you've booked a room only, you can pay (can't remember how much, but it's cheap) to eat at the serve yourself buffet, which while not the best breakfast we've ever eaten wasn't the worst either. We'd stay here again if in KL.

There are a lot of things I love about Big M Hotel. Before I booked my hotel in KL, I was checking online the reviews. And I did the right choice in staying here. IDEAL LOCATION It has the best location. The train station is just a few meters away. Just at the back of the hotel. So, it’s easier to go to the different places in KL. There are fast food chains in the area. McDo just next door (same bldg). KFC & Burger King are just across. There is also Guardian next to McDo, 7 Eleven & local convenience store across. Central Market, Chinatown, KL City Gallery, temples, Catholic Church, Mosque are just walking distance. Oh! Even KL Tower is just about 30-min walk. ACCOMMODATING & FRIENDLY STAFF When I arrived in the hotel, it was too early for the check in. I requested if I can early check in, and I was so happy that they let me. I was able to leave my stuff. They were all smiling and accommodating. They helped me check in the room, waited for my grab and gave me instructions on how to get to where I want to go. They even let me leave my stuff after I checked out. There is always a staff in the reception area assisting the staff. And they responded to my query and chat in their FB page. I just wish I got their names but unfortunately, I was not able to. But I can commend all of them. COMFORTABLE STAY The room is not so small and not so big. Given that I am alone, this is enough. Even if I have companion, the room is good enough. There is a shelf where can I put my stuff. There is a table, a phone, toiletries. The bed is so comfortable. I had a good sleep. I had a good rest in the afternoon. They gave me free water when I asked. And the blower did a pretty good job during my stay. Hehe. I love also there 7th floor. Where guests can stay, relax and eat. Though I was there just for a few minutes but I love how quiet and relaxing the place. I could definitely recommend this place to my friends and family going to KL. Transit Hotel KL is located near Plaza Rakyat LRT station and food glory from China town and Jln Alor all within walking distances. Details such as pressure from shower and flushing from toilet were sometimes overlook but not here at Transit Hotel KL, the shower's water pressure is just perfect like standing under the rain, even the flushing system is full cleaning. The wooden flooring in room is seen and felt clean which makes walking barefoot a delight. Unfortunately the restaurant's food did not made an impression on me, if possible, improve on the quality of products served. This is my first stay here at Transit Hotel KL, i will definitely book here again next time.

This is a really good hotel, especially for the price. The location is phenomenal, as close as you can get to the action of China Town and Petaling St Markets without being a grotty little hostel, also no more than 5 (OK, 10 if you walk slow, wait for traffic and take alot of photos) minutes walk to Central Market and Little India. It is also close to the monorail. The rooms are surprisingly large with decent facilities and it is all very comfortable and clean with a huge TV and decent bathroom size. The staff are absolutely top notch when it comes to local knowledge and lending a hand and advice. The only real beef is that lack of additional hotel (as opposed to room) facilities and the cost of booking things outside of the hotel, through the hotel, e.g. taxis (80RMY to Airport.. train is about half that and a taxi you hail yourself outside their door won't ask for more than 70RMY), some of the tours (though in this case it isn't so easy to organise yourself without prior communication with a driver), etc. All in all though I will recommend it to anyone who is tired of lugging a backpack and keeping a wary eye on their fellow travelers!

I didn't know what to expect with the price we paid for this hotel. When I first walked in I was shocked, it looked like a 5 star hotel. The staff were very respectful and helpful, they even allowed us to check in early. The staff ordered us Ubers throughout our whole trip, which saved us a ton of money since most of the taxis in the city try to overcharge you. The cafe in the lobby is nice/convenient. The room is small, but very clean and comfortable beds. The location is great as well, it's connected to the Central Market, we were able to walk to the KL tower (long walk but we made it), and the KLCC Towers were a 5 RNG Uber. Highly recommend this place!

I checked into Arenaa Star on the 21st October and stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very pleasant stay. First and foremost after putting down my luggage, I ventured to the hotel's open air restaurant located on the Mezzanine floor. The seafood olio oglio I ordered was good. I also tried grilled chicken and lamb chop on subsequent days and they are all ridiculously cheap yet extremely tasty. Wow! The friendly and courteous staffs made the ambience all the more better. When it comes to the accomodation, I must say that it has the coziest bed and pillows for you to rest after a long walk tour around KL which you can easiy access via the LRT and is just a walking distance from Chinatown. Not to mention the big and modern bathroom, flat wide screen tv and various themes that represents each floor. For example the 1st Floor represents the Malaysian stars thus you will see the portraits of the local entertainers painted on the wall along the hallways to every hotel room. Not to mention the Hollywood, Bollywood, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Korea etc. You might have a pleasant surprise to see that one of them happens to be your favourite! So in conclusion, Arenaa Stars lives up to its name and is very recommendable for the budget value and comfort.

I stayed here for 3 nights and it is the best place so far for me. This hotel is superb! good location, near from the train station, near the central market, china town and plus the terminal for GoKL bus (which i use for free). and the rooftop pool is so awesome at night! i cant find the other cheap hotels that have the facilities like this. it is more than what you pay. the staff will clean your room based on your request. the room itself is okay for 2 people. the shower is good, the water heater is working well. they give the soap and shampoo everyday. there is also restaurant down of the hotel and the food is very good and its cheap as well. Near by the hotel (along katsuri walk) there is popular curry restaurant, yusoof and zakhir, which I check on google its one of the best curry restaurant in kuala lumpur. And its cheap also! I will have another trip to kuala lumpur and will stay here again. ^^

I think it's quite a new hotel, run by Tamil staff. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideally situated close to LRT Pasar Seni, Central Market, Kasturi Walk, Jalan Petaling, etc. Not much character, but excellent value, clean, quiet and everything one needs. Great views over the city from window - National Mosque, etc. We booked 3 hotels in Malaysia on this trip, and Lavana was the best (the friendliest and and also the cheapest by a long way). One problem with all hotels was the snail-like Wifi, ironic as there are signs everywhere reading that Malaysia is getting up to speed, 500 Mbps - well, they have a long way to go, and that's compared to Lombok, where I live.

hotel stay was great. rooms were rather clean and well mantained. was given a queen size bed for a room for two person. room was spacious enough and toilet was clean. as we were staying on the 8th floor of the hotel, the window view was amazing. we are able to oversee the menara kuala lumpr and even the petronas twin tower from our window view. you can imagine the spectacular view at night! hotel location was great. it was walking distance to the nearest commuter/train station. however, we ended up walking to the different places such as masjid jamek station, central market and petaling street. traffic was horrible during peak hours and kl and even the train station was overload with people queing for it. advisable, not to take a cab during its peak period. it could cost a bomb!

hotel is situated in the middle of chinatown, if you are hungry for food, there is no worries of finding food to satisfy your hunger. in chinatown, you need to bargain your price when shopping. the guide to bargain is to offer 20% of the asking price of the seller and slowly increase from there based on how much you perceived the buying price to be for each products. do not be bothered by seller's black face when you go way to low, afterall, the decision of buying lies in our hands. i have personally met sellers that would use vulgarities on me when the selling price turns me off the buy their products, but always remember that moving away from the store may bring you to another store that would sell you the same things at the price you wanted. hotel chinatown 2 offers a good lodging, the room may be compact, but it has the basic amenities that requires for a good relaxing stay. centralised air conditioning system that unable you to set the temperature, which doesn't matter to me. small private toilet with standing shower with no bathtub, that is pretty much okay for the price i had paid for. however to highlight, the management is pretty good at crm, i have booked a single room, they upgraded me to a double room for free. drinking water and ironing board can be found on 2nd level. the bad thing is the hotel only have 1 elevator. sometimes, the elevator would be down. it happen during my 3 days 2 nigt stay. but it got fixed when i return. so not much of a worries either. free storage of luggage is available when you check out and decided to roam around for the last time before departure. hotel reception is good, they gave me a couple of advised when i asked them how to get to the new bus terminal at bandar tasik selantan, they mentioned that to take taxi, depends on traffic. it would cost around ringgit. but if there is not much luggage, can consider to take a "shuttle tbs" bus at only $2 ringgit. cool!!!

Train station is 200 meters away and from there the Petronas Towers is just 2 minutes (don't take the cab, traffic is gonna kill you). Bus station is 600 meters away if you want to go Resorts World Genting. Petaling Night Market and street food is 800 meters away. Everything from this hotel is literally walking distance. Hotel room was nice. Nothing very flashy. If you are in KL on a vacation, you wouldn't see much of your hotel room, anyway. The hotel is right across the Maybank Tower, one of KL's taller buildings. So if you ever get lost and decide to take a cab, just say "Maybank Tower" or just look up and search for the building. You won't miss it. The staff was also very lovely. I called them ahead of time and asked them to buy me a birthday cake since it was my wife's birthday. They did. My wife was pretty surprised when we went inside the hotel room and a birthday cake was waiting for her.

I've been traveling for 10 months now so when I find places like this, I get giddy. Clean (daily housekeeping), cheap , private rooms with AC, bathroom + shower, and a TV you can plug your laptop into. It's right at the entrance to Petaling Street, Chinatown so cheap street food abounds. The Subway, Light-rail, and bus station are a few hundred feet away making it an ideal cheap place to base yourself out of when solo traveling in KL. If you're looking for a hostel type of place to meet other travelers, this isn't the place for that. It's a nice quiet place for budget travelers to escape the loud or uncomfortable hostel scene for a few days to "treat" yourself and stay within budget. Due to house moving issues, I have stayed in Leo Leisure for 2 months. The reason why I didn't move out to another budget hotel will be obvious if you have spent a night here. Firstly, you will be helpfully welcomed by the supervisor Kenny Tam. Kenny will sort out any issue you have with a smile. His motto is that if he can do it, he will definitely do it for you. For example I wanted to stay in the same room but other guests have booked out all the rooms in the hotel so I had to upgrade and change rooms. But after a 5 minute chat with Kenny, I managed to get my original room back. The rooms are close to what the look in the pictures. My only complain is sometimes the washed towels are delivered late to the room like 5 pm. The place is very strategic. You'll be surrounded by heritage buildings, famous yummy food and Chinatown. I'm sure that the staff at Leo Leisure Hotel will make your stay an enjoyable one.

Comfortable and cozy room stay. Booked this hotel because of the availability of bathtubs in room n ok location. Building is not new but very well maintained, staff service is timely and prompt when needed. Hotel relatively near birdpark, planetarium, bukit bintang n other attractions. My room door (room 1603) was slow to close and heavy, maybe management could look into that. Would stay again if im in the area next time.

Room: Booked a Superior Double room and to my surprise was the largest room category over there. The room was small but it did have a wonderful bed and clean tiles flooring. a perfect room for couple of day of stay, Minibar: coffee, tea and biscuits available in the room.. funny though. Bathroom - Bathroom was spacious and clean. no amenities available except shower cap. Location: located just 2- seconds walk to Masjid Jamek LRT Station (Kelana Jaya Line) where it was an interchange station to Ampang Line and Sri Petaling Line. lots of markets and shops nerby. A few minutes walk to Dataran Merdeka and Sultan Abdul Samad Building. BUT, if your flight depart early in the morning, try pre-book a taxi before staying at this hotel as there are no taxi available at hotel nearby and the LRT service only started at 6am every morning. Service - Staff is friendly and smile always. Check-in takes less than 10 minutes. So far everything was good and the housekeeping did their good job in cleaning my room. Value: Value for money as the hotel location just 2 station away to KL Sentral via Masjid Jamek LRt Station... KL Sentral was KL main transportation hub. F&B: This hotel does not have restaurant.

i always consider location and availability of my needs whenever i choose a hotel particularly if it's only a short trip. in my recent visit to malaysia's capital, i stayed in hotel 1915 kuala lumpur and i was content with everything. despite the small room-area, i like the fact that the toilet and shower (hot & cold) and the rest of the room are clean. its location in lebuh ampang is its main advantage that takes any guest/tourist/traveler near to mrt masjid jamek station (about 5 min walk), chinatown (petaling street, about 10-15min walk), and of course little india where its located. another best factor of hotel 1915 in kl is its vicinity has pharmacy (makes you feel safe about your traveling), convenient store downstairs, and a lot of food places -both commercial fastfood joints and local restaurants. i also like the fact that the hotel provides distilled drinking water every floor with its dispenser. that's petty to some but an important necessity during a trip. overall, i am happy with my stay there as the staff too were very accomodating & friendly. i would consider reserving a room again when i get a chance to be back in kl.

The hotel was so nice to stay, the rooms are so lovely, very quiet place.They serve us with welcome coffee and also us free breakfast. this hotel do not look like 3 star hotel, but its like almost 5 star. PROS : STAFF OR RECEPTIONIST VERY ATTENTIVE WHEN YOU HAVE SOME QUESTIONS, THEY ANSWER WITH A BIG SMILE THATS A BIG THING TO ME, THEY KNOW HOW TO HANDLE CUSTOMER, AFFORTABLE & HUGE SPACE, VALUE FOR MONEY, NEAR CHINATOWN AND MRT, if you looking for descent and huge room dont hesitate to book this hotel, for 4days i stayed there hotel most of their staff are old but they work hard and they clean the room everyday , and if you will check out just give the key thats it no question ask. And one more thing the wfi has strong signal. Cons. : old building & not much to offer facilities but still good accommodation if you looking for affordable , clean & you have peace of when you leave your room.

Frankly speaking, this is one of the best 3 star hotel I ever stayed. Very clean interior and very good staffs. The room I stayed was very good. I really enjoyed having shower in this hotel. The strong water pressure and not extremely hot water temperature really amazed me. The air-conditioning system was fantastic. Had a very good sleep the whole night. All the branded stuff (TV, hairdryer, water boiler, etc) was set up well. Ohhh ya, the housekeeping guy (forgot his name) is really helpful and nice person. The Pakistani/Bangladeshi guy at the car park is a nice guy too. He talks very politely and been very helpful evertime I park my car there. I noticed that he takes a good car of the visitors vehicles. Overall, I fully recommend this hotel for everyone that wish to stay in the middle of KL. Cheers..

This is a hotel not only the gimmick which just attracts tourists to have a stay and upload photos to Instagram. It is a very beautiful hotel near to the best community in the city: Chinatown. I really like how they apply the air well traditional architectural feature to all the private rooms especially the lowest floor with a garden, with natural lights and rain coming inside. If there is a chair it will be great for guests to sit in front of the garden to feel more relaxed. The hotel room is also appreciated as all the furnitures are in traditional style. I can enjoy the garden view on my bed as well, and before sleeping I liked turning off all the light in the room, leaving the only stage light on in the garden. The breakfast is a way to understand the Nanyang food culture. They also provide free and high quality drink every day in their coffee shop.

Thought of just booking a budget hotel just for shower and a quick nap as we've to take care of patient in the hospital nearby but this hotel provided an unexpectedly pleasant stay at a very affordable price that we've paid in the city centre. The receptionist, a Malay lady that works in the morning (If you're reading this, I'm sorry I didn't get your name but you'll be remembered) is very helpful. Despite of her job in the reception, she helped me to take care of a personal matter that happen in one of the morning during my stay. Truly appreciate it and we'll definitely come back again.

The location is pretty much perfect. In the middle of the city, to the left of the front door is the Metro station to take you anywhere in the city that you want to go and to the right is Petaling Street. There are restaurants nearby and the Central Market. A+ for location. The single rooms are pretty small and no windows but they're cheap and clean and big enough for one. My biggest problem was that all the single beds are located on the ground floor which means you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the lobby and at the front desk at all hours of the day and night. I asked to be moved and because all the single beds are on that floor, I'd have to upgrade to a double bed to switch to a different floor. So if you're not a light sleeper and want a cheap and comfy private room. This is the hotel for you.

Pros: Location ++ Right next to Pasar Seni MRT and Chinatown. Central Market is walking distance as well as Kotaraya and Mydin (best prices for coffee/chocolates). Room is clean and they provide towels, tissue rolls and soap via the dispenser in your bathroom. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Helped us with our taxi booking and called up the driver to make sure he can find us. Free hot and cold drinking water using the drinking fountains in the hallway. Mattresses are firm. Towels are soft. Curtains are very good at blocking out the light. Great price. It's a steal honestly. Cons: Small(ish) bathroom, water can leak out when using the showerhead full on, so be mindful of the direction. No minifridge and toiletries except for the soap and tissue roll. Rooms aren't soundproofed at all, and it's a busy hotel on a busy street. It gets quiet at night though (and it's not bad early mornings as well), so it's not like it's gonna keep you from sleeping.
