"i patted myself on the back as soon as i arrived at the carlton hotel - it was just as grand as it looked in the photos, and how the positive reviews captured all its pluses on the location, room size, pool, etc. 1) the staff were friendly, helpful, especially the concierge who was very patient with me when i asked for sentosa tours on a sunday. i was also pleasantly surprised that the hotel considered my special requests when i booked the rooms online, which was to place us beside each other and at a high floor, and i did not have to call in advance to double check or reiterate my requests. 2) the 2 rooms we booked were big but was just right for all 6 of us traveling. my 2 kids also enjoyed the pool that they had all to themselves as there weren't any kids booked at the hotel it seemed. i especially liked the decks where you can read or just take a nap in. 3) the location of the hotel was just perfect as it is in the middle of everything. my mother-in-law got to explore bugis area just by walking from the hotel, me and my husband were able to go out for drinks late at night just across chijmes and the bars at raffles city centre, and if only we had more time we would have gone to the esplanade and merlion park just by walking. i only wished that they had free wifi in the rooms. they only had it in the lobby, which was always full with people surfing on their gadgets. the other hotels were already offering it, so i hope it won't take long for carlton to follow suit."

"1, hotel geographical position is superior, the transportation is convenient, the City Hall station exit B out 5 minutes' walk to the hotel.Raffles city, the Capitol building, the merlion park, near the quay in, play very convenient;2, the hotel facilities together: hotel room facilities complete, the life is very convenient and comfortable!The window of the soft sofa is a highlight!Hotel have swimming pool and gym are available for guests free of charge;3, thoughtful service: the hotel concierge and reception of smiling greet send, can be very careful to help guest travel route guidance!The room attendant to clean the room very carefully!Room service is also very timely!Just the room air quality is not too good!Air conditioning system need to clean up and improve!The other is very good!In general is very good hotel!"

"The infinity pool is the only reason why people stay here. The 360 degree view on the 57th floor is spectacular. You can see the Merlion Park from the infinity pool while on the other side where the jacuzzis are located, you can see Gardens by the bay. The pool is overcrowded in the afternoon til evening. Hotel guests swim as early as 6AM in the morning so be sure to wake up early. To sum this up, We had a great time staying here. We stayed at Tower 3 and we can see the Gardens by the bay from our room. It is worth every penny if you know how to maximize your time. Also don’t forget to take pictures on the viewing deck. It is free as long as you still have your key cards with you. Tip: Check-in/Check-out counter has a very very very long queue. I suggest you go proceed to the VIP check-in, just ask the hotel staff where it is. The kind of room you book doesn’t matter whether it’s just a deluxe or suite. Anybody can use the vip check-in for a faster check-in."
