I chose this hotel as I was travelling from London to Sydney and only wanted an overnight stop in Singapore to break the journey rather than shop sightsee etc. The hotel is located in Terminal three and is reasonably easy to find, though a few more signs would be helpful. Its only a five minute walk from terminal to hotel and saves the hassle of getting transport into the City. Staff at the desk were pleasant and helpful. I had booked as a single person and was given a large very well appointed room with a King Size bed, large bathroom with spa bath and separate shower, flat screen TV etc. I had requested a room in a quiet location and had an undisturbed nights sleep. There are two restaurants, a bar and room service available which I did not use. One warning - I made two overseas phone calls and they were extremely expensive compared to other hotels I've stayed in in Singapore. Best to check rates before you use the phone. Overall, very happy with this hotel and would use it again.

From the moment we arrived (late with two children and rather jet lagged) - we were treated with such wonderful customer service - higher than that of 5 star properties we have stayed in!! Our check out time was 12pm ... At 1pm we were called in the room - oops we were all still asleep! Check out was extended until 2pm and then On checking outand further discussion regarding our flights etc our check out time was further extended until 6pm without us asking - this was from the goodness of the hearts of those working Saturday morning! It may not sound like much however With two small children and two exhausted parents this gesture was by far the most sincere we have ever recieved. We will never again stay anywhere else other than Changi Cove - clean rooms, walls to draw on (for a 3 year old - heaven), great lunch ...... Our stay was flawless - cannot fault one single thing. I have been a hotel manager in NEw Zealand in a 4 star property and have worked in well known 5 start resorts in Australia and if I was the manager, general manager or CEO of Changi Cove - I would give all the praise and applause for your staff. Front Desk, Concierge, restaurant, cleaners - every encounter we had was first class. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts - our stay will not be forgotten and will recommend your hotel to all!! The one maddening aspect of the hotel during my visit; they had Kenny G's insipid version of Winter Wonderland playing on an endless loop. Nothing else -- just all-day Kenny G. It was horrible. If you have a really long layover in Singapore and you can’t stay in the hotels before immigration because you would like to explore the city for a day (without joining the tour group that Changi offers), then the Haven is definitely for you. They were cleaned after every use by the staff, towels were provided as well. People were complaining about how cold the rooms were but to be honest, they were just right for me. The lounge area is also quite comfy and you can make do with it if you just want comfier chairs to nap in. If you want more privacy and a bit more security than the nap rooms would be better. The staff were efficient and accommodating and they adjusted my check in and check out period. The free breakfast that comes with an overnight stay is okay but if it’s not to your taste, there is a McDonald’s right across the hotel and more restaurants too

We reckon Changi Village Hotel is the best 4 star hotel in Singapore. It's great value in a great little village with real atmosphere, where genuine Singaporean residents live. The strip of bars, restaurants and shops is just footsteps from the hotel entrance and has everything you need for a great stay. The stunning sea views offer the perfect backdrop to a relaxing trip. If you want the bright lights of the city centre it's still only 30 minutes away by cab. I guess most people know the hotel as a short stopover spot for transit passengers from the airport. I'm sure it works fine for that but it has SO much more to offer for a longer stay. The rooftop pool is a joy and the fitness centre is well equipped too. The Executive Lounge on the 6th floor is as good as any you'll find anywhere with a great coffee selection, PC access, reading material and a lovely outdoor balcony to enjoy. The rooms are clean and spacious with wonderfully comfortable beds and cool, modern bathrooms. But the real secret to this hotel is the staff. Even though they face high guest turnover with the airport sector they treat each guest with warmth and courtesy and never miss an opportunity to help out or offer a friendly greeting. There's something very genuine about the whole experience and I'd say they make great ambassadors for Singapore. I sometimes travel alone and sometimes with my wife and young daughter but either way these people make me want to come back again and again. A hotel should be welcoming and this one is. Sure, there's a bit of faded paintwork here and there, the corridor carpets are probably due for a change and the exterior facade has some green algae spots that need removing - but forgive those minor fair wear and tear issues and you'll discover a hotel with real heart and soul, a diamond.
