Downside is that mrt station is quite a walk from hotel 5-10mins, beside macdonalds. Room is clean, smells good and bed is soft.

There was also a 7 Eleven just beside the hotel. Huai Khwang night market was within walking distance (500 m). Amaranta is indeed a luxury hotel at good location!

My stay at Emerald was great as usual. I have been to Bangkok many times and I prefer to stay in Rachadaphisek because of quietness of area. I checked out and moved to Sukhumvit to stay with a friend for new years eve, but the moment I came to Sukhumvit I regretted checking out from Emerald. It's just too crowded, noisy. There are some great street seafood joints here, Joe's seafood is one which is right across Emerald. If you walk down towards Thailand Cultural Center you will find more seafood street joints. For party goers there is RCA. This time I used Gym and Spa facilities which are great too. If you want to stay in Rachda and away from madness of Sukhumvit this is the great place. You can't beat the price. I already booked a room for next week and will stay here in my future visits too.

For 30 baht, you'll arrive by comfortable ARL airport train directly to the hotel (they have a bridge from the mall which, in turn, is connected to the Ramkhamhaeng ARL station) in 20 minutes. No taxis, no hassle, no transfers. When staying for a few days, the same ARL can and shoul...It's location is just great when you're arriving to Suvarnabhumi, tired after a flight. When staying for a few days, the same ARL can and should be used to get to the city center faster and cheaper than in a taxi (1 stop till MRT, 3 stops till Phaya Thai BTS). If you were partying till late, a metered taxi from the Sukhumvit area to the hotel will cost less than 100 baht. The only downside of the location is it's quite far from the Khaosan road area, so I can't recommend it to first-time visitors to Bangkok, or to those planning to hang out at KSR every day. But the value for money is much better than on Khao San - for the price of an air-conditioned guesthouse there, you stay in a (2,5-star, in my opinion) hotel. Rooms are quite worn, but are still comfortable (for a budget hotel), and there's a bathtub - I don't remember having one in <600 baht rooms elsewhere in Thailand, and it's especially pleasant if you're travelling for months in Asia and are already bored of having just a shower every time. Wi-Fi is 150 baht/24 hours, weird for the year 2017, but who cares - just buy a local SIM card in the Family Mart across the road, and for double that price you already may have an Internet package for a month. Tried Wi-Fi once as I'm often working online - not really better than 4G (dtac) in the same room. Many times I tried to find another place which would have a better value than Nasa Vegas, just for variety, but I couldn't find and ended up booking Nasa Vegas again when the price on the booking site went down. The reception staff are pleasant, knowing some basic Thai will make communication with them even better. The room deposit (1500 baht I think) may be left in the currency other than Baht (e.g. $50) - can be very convenient when arriving

If you wish to get to the nearest shopping mall, Phraram 9 is two stations away. If you need to visit a supermarket, Big C is located one station away at Thailand Cultural Centre station. If you feel hungry in the middle of the night, just walk to the intersection and you will see bright lights across the intersection.. that's the Huai Khwang night market where you will find road side stalls and eating/drinking places. That's where the "famous" Sambon Seafood Restaurant is located but it has seen better days. Now it is infamous for it's price and quality. Overall, I would recommend CMYK@Ratchada as the price is reasonable and access to public transport is good.

The hotel location is a bit far from Bangkok center and MRT station, but we found out that you can travel by taxi with meter to most of the places which cost around 120 -160 baths which is much more cheaper than Grab car and MRT plus BTS as we are 3 person. 7-11 is just next door, and you can do your self laundry 30 baths next or opposite the hotel, just a pity no clothes dryer. 5-10 minutes walk to the junction there is few massages center, 200 baths for 1 hour and 330 for 2 hours, and we went every night, excellent. Overall is a very good hotel to stay, value for money, and we will be back

Superior is great as i saw when the doors is non close. Bathroom amenities is good and they provided free water bottle for you everyday. MRT STATION only located in walking distance around 5-10mins, depends on how fast you walk. You can get all food around the hotel and night market is in walking distance around 15-20mins (depends). They have one famous buddha located next to the night market too. There's alot of tourist and locals there for prayers. You can basically get most of the local food at the market. Overall experience is great. 5 nights stays for me just nice. Hope to coma back again soon. Thank You.

I had only plan to stay for one night as that was all that would be required to do what i need to at the Bangkok Hospital. I liked the hotel and amenities and food so well that i stayed another 2 days. The hotel staff are among the best i have ever encountered. I used the swimming pool and fitness room everyday and really enjoyed both. The fitness room is fitted out with the latest equipment and a attendant is alway there is help if you need anything. The pool was the perfect temperature and never crowded. I just can't say enough good things about the hotel. The next time i go to Bangkok i plan to stay there. Best regards JWR

The room service is very quick and also the laundry service . The only negative to the hotel is the Thai Spa & Massage shop , the staff are polite but the massage is terrible , i tried two and the second one i stopped after 15 minutes as it was not a traditional thai massage , having lived in thailand for ten years i know , plus at 1,200 Thb for one hour , very expensive , avoid at all cost this massage shop . Having complained to the owner on how bad the massages were , even stopping the second one after 15 minutes , she still charged me the price . Please warn clients to stay away , they are only interested in grabbing your money , without doing the job . Apart from that everything else with the hotel is First Class , and i highly recommend staying there , as i certainly will again when i come to Bangkok.

Well if you want to go the malls then you can just ride the MRT going to the BTS skytrain to SIAM paragon or better yet go the famous weekend market at CHATUCHAK park which we share line at the MRT. WE love Thailand and this time around, we visited phuket and we loved it! Both Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang airports are near. Not sure of the exact travelling time during daytime as we always opt to depart late to avoid traffic. So roughly 30-45 mins travel time (when you leave the hotel around 9 or 10PM). I would recommend this hotel to anyone as the hotel price is budget friendly. (no international channels though) but wifi is fast so that's a relief. You can take the train from the airport,follow the lines going to MRT,get off Hwaiy Kwang and use the exit no.4.

Hot shower but the temperature was not adjustable, its either too cold or too hot. Aircond will turn hot at night even we had fixed the temperature and turn cold in the morning. Quiet cause its off the main road. Location: Good. 15 min walk to Suthisan MRT station. 24 hr Family Mart just next to the hotel. On the street there are some stalls at night like fried chicken wings and roti banana. McD is just within 5 min walk. Pubs and bars within 15 min walk. Lots of massage shops nearby (about 30 minutes walk). You can always take a taxi like us since very convenient to call for a taxi and cheaper than mrt if you have few person. Food: The hotel booking included breakfast. You can't expect much for a 900Baht/room with breakfast. The menu is same everyday, you have only 3 choices: 1) american breakfast with coffee, 2) chicken/ pork porridge, and 3) fish porridge. Facilities: Wifi is free for 1 hour/day. A small swimming pool at level 3.

Only setback is the non availability of in-room safe box, even though it was listed as one of the room features. Anyway will book this place again during my next visit.

The rooms are really great...big, clean and comfortable. The staffs are friendly, courteous, attentive and making sure the guests feel comfortable. The three nights spent was fantastic. We enjoyed our time at the cosy corner within the room, the bed is comfortable, bathroom big enough with long bath. Balcony with hanging racks. Huge fridge to stock up enough drinks and fruits to last for my four days stay. In room safe to keep our personal valuable and belongings. Our trip to Bangkok was purely to shop and dine, all at local outlets. MRT trip was short, just a few stations away will bring us to our desired destinations. Bangkok is peaceful, calm and enjoyable, in spite of the all the negative report on the economic and political situation. We kept our luggage in the hotel when we check out coz our flight was in the evening. We went shopping for more local stuffs and came back late afternoon to pick up our luggage. Everything was in tact and we willingly tipped the staff well for their real Amazing Thai service and an enjoyable trip.

All their rooms are non-smoking rooms, only allowed to smoke outside the hotel or at the rooftop bar. Went to their rooftop bar, awesome view and awesome service. The location of the hotel is opposite of a market called Proud Market which only opens at night. There is a small mall nearby called ShowDC. But it is about 15 minutes by taxi to the main shopping area like MBK Mall or other night markets. The hotel is quiet so if you need a hotel which is very calming u can choose this hotel. I booked a 3 days 2 nights with this hotel but decided to extend another day through Agoda as well. Highly recommended hotel!!! 10 out of 10!!!!

A spa at the hotel has luxury treatments but no standard-price foot massage or Thai massage; for this you'll have to look elsewhere. The hotel is quiet, elegant, and--when booked through Agoda--very affordable. Highly recommended for those wanting to stay in this area.

Good value modern hotel. Great location as close to huge new Central. Also close to Crystal DC and many good eateries, but its not the centre of town, you would need a car. Hotel staff very helpful and polite. Rooms are a good size, good bathrooms, comfy beds. Quiet. Thai rice soup breakfast choice is very nice. The photos on Agoda are the most accurate I have ever seen. Staff was excellent, the room was wonderful, couldn't be happier. Pro Tip: Order the "curry fried fish" at the restaurant.
