Been trying out countless of hotels in Singapore for staycations, as compared to other 5 star establishments, Hotel G is comparable in terms of comfort. Though it is a 4 star property and rooms are rather small, I do not have any major complains, rather I have good feedback to give. Staff: Jacob at the front desk was a man of few words, but he has a smile on all the time and he does his best to impress. He made my 2nd or 3rd (I don't remember) stay with Hotel G much better than my first when it was still named BIG hotel. Rooms: Toilet could be done cleaner and more spotless. As for the room/desk area, no complains as of now. Keep it up! Restaurant: With the introduction of Ginett (I don't know if I spelt that right) The restaurant has been a great addition to the establishment. Just that, breakfast selection feels lazy and bland, nothing special and could be improved. So much potential in the breakfast choices. Overall, there is so much room for improvement even though they are already doing well. Keep it up Jacob and the rest of the staff at Hotel G!

Depending on the room rate, this can be excellent value for your money. We had a family room, ok it wasn't exactly spacious but still accommodated 4 of us well in 2 queen beds. What we loved most: rooms come with a mobile phone that can be used throughout the island. Location was very convenient for us, the hotel is near three MRT stations and within walking distance of attractions like the National Museum and the Peranakan Museum. Wished we had time to try the gym and pool. But looks like we'll just have to come back again for that.

Agoda had this ad for Strand, which after my location search online, was in the Bugis and right at the heart of downtown. I was reluctant to book at first, not having stayed here before, but it was a good decision in the end. The location is excellent in a number of ways: (1) bus stop (Line 36) to and from Changi International Airport, is just a few meters walk right next to Rendezvous Hotel at Bras Basah; (2) one of the access points to Bencoolen MRT DT21 station is in front of hotel; (3) another access point to the Circle Line MRT is 1 block away at Bras Basah; (4) Dhoby Ghaut MRT interchange is also nearby, 2 blocks away at Orchard Rd.; (5) hotel is at the center of the sprawling SMU campus; (6) walking distance to the National museum, Arts museum, SOTA, Chijmes, National library, St Andrews, Raffles City, Fort Canning, Cathay Cineplex, and a number of landmarks; Food Republic is just in front. A 7-11 store is also across the street. Wonderful service. Very clean.

V hotel Bencoolen is a nice budget hotel. When I first booked this hotel, i didnt realize that this hotel is literally next to the MRT Station. It is really convenience for us to travel anywhere in Singapore with this MRT. Before the MRT Station, V hotel is always located near the food area.We didnt have to book any breakfast at the hotel because our surrounding is full with small restaurant and kopitiam. This hotel has a great value of money. With around when I first booked it, it was the best hotel ive ever booked. But, there is also another he location is also superb and has more food around it. The hotel is so a bit bigger than Bencoolen. So, if you want to book, try first; it could be full (I got that twice); then try V hotel Bencoolen

ibis hotel is a little higher but you pay for the central location, and the room service quality. it feels like an airline cabin - things are where they should be, with just enough space for everything you need. its clean, compact, but carefully designed to make economical use of space. great selection of food (local food at fu lu shou complex) and shopping (sim lim square for it, og, bugis iluma, bugis junction). the national library is also nearby. walking to city hall is not a problem, its actually quite near, about 15-20 minutes walk.

Love the interior! Staff service is commendable. Breakfast was good with 5-6 varities each for Intercontinental and Asian. We had thought the pool to be bigger though. We booked for a night stay specifically for the National Day fireworks, which we have indicated at the request for a room with views during the booking. We were told at check-in that for the room that overlook the fireworks, we needed an upgrade to King’s Room, additional $20++, which we agreed. It was only after check out that we were told that it was $50++ because of the fireworks. The hotel did some remedy by waiving it off since it’s the miscommunication on their part. It would be better if the hotel check the request before our check-in and inform us that it requires an upgrade.

When I booked the hotel I saw there’s a swimming pool facility but didn’t realize it was an infinity pool so nice even though the backdrop is not as good as MBS, it’s still a stunning view of the city. Staff are very professional and very helpful especially when I requested to deposit my backpack for a month while I travel away and everything was intact and safe. The location is superb and WiFi connection is very good! One of the best connection in the world. The only thing I don’t quite like is the shower and toilet room design are too small. It’s silly to separate them making it harder to go in and out of shower. Lastly the cleaner is quite stingy in issuing the toiletries especially only give one shower gel bottle every day even though I was staying alone in a 2 persons room I booked for 5 nights. The cleaners did not issue standard toiletries. I also have to ask for moisture lotion as well. There are 2 standard water bottles everyday which is very pleasant and nice of the hotel.

Brand new hotel. Just 50-100 meters walk from Bencoolen MRT exit A. Bras Basah MRT just straight stroll too. Dhoby Ghaut MRT is the most far station within 3 nearest MRT, but it doen't matter to walk. 2 convinience stores is beside the hotel. Food republic (foodcourt) just in the corner (50 meters walk). Near to National Museum, Museum Peranakan, and many museums around there. We were booked junior suite room for 2 adult + 2 young children. We slept tight. The surprise is junior suite comes with 2 bathrooms, so no more toilet hassle. Swimming pool had a great view, so does the jacuuzi. The staffs were friendly, always smile and welcome us.

I chose this hotel because it's located very close to the National Stadium (the venue for Maroon 5 tour). My flight was a bit early and I was told that the check-in time at the hotel is at 3pm. I went there and I can get into the room at 11.15am. Great gesture by the hotel and staff!! Very efficient check-in procedure, clean and quiet room, and the hotel itself is pretty accessible. Close to Bugis area and the food centre is a plus. However, there were no staff offering to order taxi when I checking out. Could be better service next time. Plus: location, cleanliness, cool rooftop swimming pool, food centre nearby. Minus: nothing to be concerned

It was a breeze coming here directly from the airport and I checked into my room minutes after arriving. After a quick shower, I walked out of the hotel and began sampling the local food from the many restaurants and cafes nearby. Shoppers would love the location as it is located next to 2 shopping malls, as well as being next to the National Library and Brash Basah Complex i.e. Book city. And for avid backpackers, the hotel is located not just next to 1 subway station but two, which opens up even more opportunities to exploring Singapore by busy travellers like me. Truly a high recommended hotel stay to all!

We stayed here for 3 nights. I initially chose this hotel because of the good reviews. And yes! All my expectations were met! --Very convenient location: accross 711 and food court, beside burger king and shopping centers, walking distance to rochor & bencoolen mrt stations, very near the bugis market & sg national museum, taxi bay & bus stop is just in front of the hotel --Staff are so friendly and very accommodating, a plus factor for me.👌❤ --Buffet breakfast is good. I enjoyed the food! --Room is very clean, enough space, bed so comfy, smells good, modern design. Will surely stay at this hotel the next time we visit SG. Thanks a lot Summer View!😄

The Oxford Hotel is located right next to Bras Basah MRT which makes most of Singapore quite easy to access but even better, there is a ton of stuff thats within easy walking distance including the Singapore Art Museum, The Singapore Management University, the National Library and Bugis Junction so you really don't need to travel far for most things. I found the staff competent and helpful, with one even offering me her own umbrella to use when it was raining. I found the room a good size for the price and the rate quite reasonable for the area. I would definitely recommend it to both business people and those wishing to explore Singapore easily.

this hotel is located in the center of commercial establishments. it's a block away from bugis junction, the national library and good restaurants are very close by. right across is shaw tower with good restaurants, beauty parlors and convenience stores and starbucks. right beside is 7-eleven and an indonesian restaurant. however, the rooms are tiny and so is the bathroom but is very clean. there is no restaurant in the hotel so you have to go out for breakfast.

It's my first visit in Singapore, and travelling alone needs a well organized plan, from flight, itenerary and a place to stay. I am very much satisfied in choosing this hotel for the following reasons: *Strategic location - Near to MRT, Bus, Taxi Station. Near to convenient stores (7eleven across) and food place. Walking distance to Bugis, Little India, Marina Bay, Raffles, Museum, National Library, Orchard etc. *Affordable Rate - *Jacuzzi/Gym - for guest *Room and Bathroom need some improvement, but it is still fine *Wifi is OK *International Socket - No need for an adaptor *Most of all. Friendly, accomodating staff. From the Room Service, to Front Desk Lady who assited me, and Mohammed who is so helpful, friendly and fun. I really enjoyed my 1st tour in SG by myself. I never felt lost and alone. Looking forward to bring my family on this hotel.

Well, Actually i never planned to choose this hotel while on Singapore. but it turns out to be one of the best things that happen on my trip. Location : very near from bugis location, surrounded by a very interesting street such as Arab Street and the most instragramable street on SG , Haji Lane. for moslem i highly reccomended this place coz you cant found a lot of tasty and halal food around, with a view of the biggest mosque in SG. Cleanliness : Room is very compact as i can tell, very comfort with a new interior there. Staff: Well they are exceptional. very kind and broad smile on their face. never bother us and always provide everything that we need . Facilities : Room is very modern. they provide us a phone that allowed us to make a call or browsing. and the best thing is they rent it for free and we can use it outside the hotel. they provide a still and sparkling water near the receptionist which is very good deal cos a bottle of water can cost you 1 dollar there. Overall, i am very satisfied on my first visit on nuve hotel. i will go back for sure. and i very recommend this place for a solo or couple traveler, who want to save money but not feeling ease to living on hostel. this is 3 star hotel that feels like a 4 star hotel. Conclusion : Highly Recommended !

it was actually our second preference apartment but fate had changed it to be our best hotel in singapore so far. we have a young daughter who is very active. a park around the corner, easy access to bus stops that take u literally everywhere, walking distance to mrt makes travel easily planned. tugged a little away from orchard meant the apartment was reasonably priced. hotel facilities were comparable to 3 star hotel. its free internet access is well appreciated. finally, all around nice friendly staff frm reception, housekeeping, kitchen, even maintainence.

fragrance hotel bugis is located nearby national library, bras basah complex ,bugis junction, and bugis street where u can find many restaurants and shopping centre. it's pretty close with bugis mrt station with approximately 3 minutes walk. it's a nice area with many good restaurants nearby the hotel, we just have to take a walk beside bras basah complex then we can find many food there. The service is excellent and they're very welcome to the customers. The room is very clean and nice and the room size it's fine ,not to small so that it's very comfortable. i would say i was enjoying my stay there.

incredible for a hotel of this class: modern touchscreen light switches (that's fine), but why is it nowhere indicated that if you push the key "master" you switch off the power and you cannot switch it back on. i thought it was a single key shutoff of all lights, convenient if you want to sleep (as i have seen in many hotels before), but no. a technician had to come, solved it in 10 seconds, but reset not accessible for guests ... this is not "fool proof" other than that, very nice room, large lcd tv (with - again - an on/off button on the left side, if you are not familiar with it you cannot switch the tv on), nice bathroom (could use a bit more light). no wireless in the room, so either you have your own ethernet cable or you "lend" one at the front desk. also, only one eu power outlet in the room, others are uk type (but also here you can ask an adapter at the front desk). not cheap (but nothing is in singapore), restaurant and food ok, but not many visitors. the (expensive) bar is not part of the hotel, so you cannot have your drinks charged to your room. make sure you have cash or credit card with you. located within walking distance of singapore art museum and national library.

Well, when booked this hotel I actually didn't realize there are two Bencoolens there: the hotel and a "serviced apartments" which I luckily booked. We got a 2-bedroom (plus living room) apartment, with complete kitchen and two bathrooms. The apt is little bit shubbed and some ceiling paint would help, but all the rest is very good: spacious, clean, comfortable. The kind-of-buffet breakfast is very basic, but if you are not too spoiled you will not leave hungry. The real advantages are: very good location (the taxi stand in front of the hotel, MRT station is less than 1 min walking, main attractions are in 10-15 min waling distance), the pool (including jaccuzi and toddler's pool) and kids playground on a top of the 12th floor, nice patio on the 5th floor. My conclusion : very good accommodation for budget famiky travelers!

We requested for an early check in as we book the hotel over Agoda webpage. Nevertheless, we hit into the hotel early (about 11am) and just to try our luck if the room is ready. To our surprise, the hotel had actually take our request into consideration and there is a room ready for us despite us arriving earlier than usual check-in time. This shows how they take care of their client although it is not really a fancy 5 star hotel. The hotel is located approximately 750m from the Bugis MRT station. All along the way from Bugis MRT to the hotel, there are lots of Arabic concept shops, which is a total new experience too ( try their murtabak, its really worth for the price of $GD6.50!!). The breakfast in hotel is not that fancy, however it is sufficient for those who would love to continue your day for food adventure, the simple yet satisfying breakfast has just done its role perfectly. There is a swimming pool in level 4, a small yet decent one. There is also a few chairs by the pool side where you can hang out with your friends. Remember to bring your swimsuit along (oh yeah.. there is also a baby pool provided. )

Getting to and from in singapore can be challenging, not with this hotel. Little India MRT station is a 5 min walk. Bugis street is also a 5 min walk for loads of shipping bargains galore. Have an authentic singapore ice cream sandwich located just before you cross the crosswalk to enter the Bugis shopping center. The staff was always welcoming and helpful at anytime you walked in the lobby. Long term bag check was available as we arrived on the morning flight and check-in was not until 3 pm. We just toured around a bit on the MRT and checked in later not having to tote our bags with us. We were offered a an upgrade to a nicer larger room one floor higher with (2) double beds. I debated in my head about taking it with no extra cost, but declined. We got a queen size bed, I don't know, but for a couple, you really want a queen or larger to sleep on. The downfall is the room size, it is a bit small. You can move around freely, but can get congested with a lot of bags on the floor. We used the folded bag stand to organize and make it comfortable. Shower, toilet, etc... nice, a little tough to dial in the water temp on the shower knob, I mean, its scorchin boiling hot or ice cube cold. Just took some experirmenting on get the handle in the right spot, the warm spot or cold if your back from a sweaty day in sing. The pool is right outside your window. There is a fitness area in the corner of the pool. Its in like a glass gazebo. They had quite a good aerobic, run, weight set-up. You could do your workout pretty easily using just maybe 3 pieces of the 7 or so pieces equipment inside. The pool has full chaise lounge chairs. Super relaxing, long pool, nice to do some laps or just cool off. There is a kids play area, so if your a family this is very good to break the boredom for the kids to doing something different than walk around with mom and dad on a hot sing day. I feel the 4 star price you pay, is really a 5 star hotel in comparison.

It is a good hotel. The hotel is near with MRT station, bugis junction, suntec city, national library, and many other attraction. The wifi internet is good even I got some problem with the connection. The lift system is funny because we must go to receptionist to get the security card. The room is very clean even it's small. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

There is a Queen bed, AC, Water heater plus shower, Water closed, TV Cable. 4. Lift 5. Near Kampong Glam & Masjid Sultan & Masjid Malabar 6. Near Halal Foodstall (Nasi Padang, etc.) 7. Near Bus shelter 9. Near Bugis MRT station about 700m & Lavender MRT station about 600m 10. Pleasant and helpfull Staff 11. There is a tree in front of hotel (our room), so we could hearing bird twitter in the morning, always. 12. Azan (Athan) is clearly heard from Masjid Sultan, so we never left behind jamaah shalat. CONS: 1. TV Cable just a few channel, about 6 or 7 channel, no children channel 2. No Water Closed sprayer ------------- We will stay again in this hotel if went to Singapore.

We were given a corner room which is slightly bigger than the average. There is some space below the bed for luggage. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Room is very clean. Table is part of the wall cabinet and is foldable. No refrigerator, but there are personal iron and small iron board, tv, kettle, mineral water, instant coffee, tea, biscuits, toiletries, towels and disposable slippers! No dedicated place to hang clothes, hv to use provided hangers behind the door. Automatic door lock is a little insensitive. Lift is only activated with card. Not noise proof, but night time the area is quiet, so we had good sleep. Lots of chinese street food, and 3 convenient shops nearby. National library is very near, and tgere are many book shops including 2nd hand ones across the main street.

I was traveling alone to singapore to attend workshop in singapore national library. I just needed a budget hotel that's close to the library since the workshop would take a whole day. Hotel 81 Bugis is just perfect as it's only a minute-walking from the national library. The room and the bathroom is very small, yet it is clean and quite comfortable. It has also wifi facility. The staff is helpful when I asked to call the airport bus to pick me up since I could not use my mobile. Nice stay anyway!

walking distance 5-7min to metro station. I didn't have to use bus to get anywhere else. The metro covered most of the attraction: marina sand bay, vivo city to sentosa, etc. Room was clean and roomy (compared to other hotel). We used to stay at B.Hotel and man, it barely has room to breath. Affordable price with great location together with good staff. It doesn't have toothpaste and toothbrush so you gotta bring your own. We don't have restaurant inside the building but just downstairs we have Malaysian/ Idian food corner. Walking 3 min, you will get to Tekka food court with Indian/Chinese/ Jap/ Korea/ all kind of food. It is good and cheap, even though the quality might not be as good as Michelin 1 star booth or Tian Tian chicken rice but it's 3min away so who cares. Overall will stay here next time until I can find a better place with the same price, and I doubt it could happen in this lifetime.

In general everything is beautiful, the white and black highlights make the Adonis Rich in Class. Starting from your welcome drink which is refreshing, all the way until you check out, you will be treaty like royalty. This is the very best hotel that I have experienced in all my travels, looking forward to coming back with my fiancee. The room is so relaxing I almost forgot I was there on business!Everyone went out of their way to ensure all my needs were met. need a reminder? they will call you to notify you of Breakfast, lunch. or dinner. I hope they don't change a thing with their hotel everything is purrrfect!

I think you can't better hotel in Singapore at this price. Elegant and practical design for their relative spacious room (I like the shower room especially), quite at night, some cheap spa nearby, a nice indian restaurant open till late, etc. Of course it's not in the best area but considering the size of Singapore, it's still a better to spend a little more on taxi but much less on hotel. Staff are efficient and helpful, no complaint, but on my departure date there was some sort of video shooting in lobby, I was not informed so when I walked out of elevator the crew were staring right at me like I walked into a wrong place (it's c/o time what did I suppose to do ...) finally they allowed me out of the elevator to finish my c/o, but I had to drag myself and luggage out to wait for my taxi on the street because the lobby was still occupied ... By the way, want to thank the reception in their sister hotel at Sultan Street, she helped me to find the right hotel while taxi dropped me at the wrong place when I arrived.
