Hotels near National Orchid Garden

We enjoyed Mandarin Orchard’s central location and the view from our large and well appointed room. Excellent breakfast, choice of restaurants and an outside pool relaxation area. On either side of the hotel there is a MRT station for easy navigation of the city. We visited major museums, galleries, the Botanical Gardens and Orchid Garden and enjoyed a very quiet boat ride. The conducted tour of the Battlebox at Fort Canning provides an insight into Singapore’s history as does the National Museum.

We are so happy that we chose to spend 5 night a brand new Yotel. *The staff- Very polite caring and helpful. (the best staff we ever had in a hotel) They helped us with planning, adjusted for us the menu to our vegan twists, even cheak and printed for us information about an event in the city! *The location - Perfect location very close to ION mall and MRT station. we mostly used buses. it is nicer to see the city this way (bus stop is even closer and located in front of Thailand embassy) we also liked the hotel located on the beginning of Orchard street. it is very easy to take a bus to see all the street. Since it's a one way street you can get out each time in the stop you like. * The room - small as most rooms in Singapore hotels but designed very smart and functional! we felt like in a space-ship with cool view on the city skyline. * facilities - 10th floor is Amazing! the gym is very good and new! The restaurant is amazing with very good prices. We got a 50% discount for breakfast for choosing to eat only fruits and veges in the morning :) kitchen is open till 22:30 and we used to get nice evening vegan fruit and veges salad that was adjusted for us! We booked through Agoda site for family of 4 with breakfast included, booking was accepted but when we received the voucher it stated breakfast only for 3 & 3 beds which was misleading came as a shock to us, at the hotel staff were friendly and helpful we upgraded to deluxe room which offered 2 Double beds, breakfast was excellent, the stay was nice and location of the hotel is ideal very close to Orchid road which was a bonus for us shopping freaks.

This hotel is in the best location if you want to be near Orchard Road. It was right in the middle of orchard road but slightly further back so its away from the noisy busy streets of orchard road. Right in front of the hotel is a great little side street which is open all day and all night serving fresh seafood, satay skewers, hainan chicken rice and a lot of other yummy things for a cheap price. The hotel was very clean, and our room was perfect. we were on the top floor so the room was very quiet. the hotel lobby staff were amazing also. We had the best stay there and would definately stay again.

i choose this hotel mainly because its location – nearby orchid road and close to mrt station. just 5 minutes by walk you can arrive at ion and ngee ann city. for the ones who like to go shopping, i doubt there’s better option with lower price. just across the street you can find a food court in far east plaza, where you can find various choice of food which provides you an economical choice if you do not want to spend too much in a fancy restaurant every night. moreover, i find its service is one of best among all the hotels i had even been in 20 countries. i am not just talking about free mini bar – although it helps as well – the most impressive thing is how touching the staff could be, especially the ones rom concierge. i definitely would choose royal plaza on scotts again if the budget allows; after all, their service is something you can hardly find in any other hotel in the world. i sincerely hope that agoda can try to make its own service close to the level of royal plaza on scotts, and maybe agoda should send someone over there to benchmark it. in terms of hardware, it is not the best hotel in town; for example, i would prefer the hotels with better swimming pool and gym. nonetheless, i truthfully thank all the hotel staff for giving me a unique experience in staying here.

I booked a few rooms for our family members and friends during my wedding night. All of them commented that the rooms were clean and spacious. Interiors were beautiful. Hotel staffs were friendly and attentiveness. They tried their best to accomodate to most of our requests and housekeeping staffs were detailed and hardworking. Buffet Spread in the morning was good and they tasted delicious. Hotel location was centralized in town. It's walking distance to most shopping malls. Overall it was a 5 stars stay in a 5 stars hotel with a 5 stars service. I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers or locals whom want a staycation.

We stayed for 3 nights here. The location is very nice. Its 5mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station near Plaza Singapora. It has 7-11 shops available near by so u can get your break fast/snack anytime while on your way out or back to hotel. It has a neat swimming pool on roof top accessible by lift 1 only with an outstanding view of the vicinity. Recommend a panoramic photo from there. Hotel has two entrances, the other one opens towards the main Orchard Road, where you can find a number of malls like Orchard Point, Orchard Central, Ngee Ann city center, 313 Somerset, Apple Store. This road has multiple bus stops. Get yourself a 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited trips to MRT & Public busses. Both have a/c so thats a relieve in 35C temp during the day. The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. Use mini bus to reach your hotel. It will cost you $SGD 9 per person with a travel time of 25-30mins. Booking stand is location at last level. They charge credit card and d

Initially there was some issue with our room booking as they were fully booked and we had late check in time, around 4pm (supposed to be at 3pm) However, the guest services and management team spoke to us personally and managed to do some great service recovery Initially we were a little frustrated with the room booking issue as they did not have the exact room which we booked for but the service recovery by the guest services and management team was amazing and very commendable Overall was a great experience and we even extended our stay for another night because we were very happy with the services Room wise is very clean, friendly housekeeping and facilities as mentioned in the photos. Would definitely have another stay in this hotel

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special hotel in the heart of Singapore. The facilities are first class and the hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. I loved the pool-side service, the amazing choice of restaurants and the tropical feel of the gardens that surround the hotel. Definitely my first choice for hotels in Singapore. Being able to walk around the corner and be in the centre of Orchid Road was so convenient and made the stay a pleasure.

Awesome location if you want to enjoy strolling around the leafy wealthy suburbs, and only a 15 minute walk to the gorgeous Botanical Gardens, and 10 to Orchid road. Good sized rooms. No carpet which is great for cleanliness but can mean noise travels down from chairs moving above. Not really designed to be a tourist hotel so naturally facilities are limited in that regard.

My second time staying in Novotel. New hotel, near Orchard road, but away from the bustling of Orchard crowd. A few not so positive things to note : 1. I didn’t not request for an extra bed, but when I got to my room, there was an extra bed inside. I had booked the room for one pax only. 2. For a relatively new hotel, the drainage system is not very well maintained, shower room floods every time i used it 3. Lacking basic toiletries in shower cap, soap dish. 4. Aircon system of Food Exchange not maintained. Water dripping from ceiling, and heavy water marks can be seen around the aircon vent. 5. The hotel could have provided more information on shuttle bus service from T Galleria back to hotel, give the location of the pick up point at T Galleria. Other than that, it’s a cosy place, friendly staff, clean environment.

The room had everything we needed. It was spacious. The bathroom in the master bedroom was a little bit small for me and my parents. I had to stay in the master bedroom because there were only 2 single beds in the 2nd room. This is good for 4 persons at best unless the 5th person is willing to sleep in the sofa or, like me, in the master bedroom. They had an assortment of food in the kitchen. It was in a basket. Really useful as we ate some of it. There is no cleaning service on Sunday and they change beddings only every other day. Overall though, everything was in top shape, service was great. The place is super clean! The view from our hotel room was nice! The bus stop was a bit of a walk though. We took a taxi everytime we had to go out which, when added together, got expensive in the end.

My kid n I late check-in at evening. Room was ready. 2 older male staffs were at the counter. For those people who said the staffs are rude pls touch your heart & ask yourself. I mean things goes both ways. If you are friendly & courteous you get the same treatment back. Dont be yaya papaya & expect that you are some big shot checking in. The hotel uses the older c/in method with paper files & stuffs. So be patient & wait. It may seems slow. Dosent kill you to wait a few mere minutes right?! There are 2 lifts. Older versions tiny lifts that is really cute if you ask me. My kid was in awe seeing such a lift in his lifetime. When we entered the room, it was clean & neat. Towels & Blankets & Bedsheets are Not Rags as other reviews claimed to be. Aircon & Mini fridge is working great. Hot Cold Shower is good too. AND THEY DO PROVIDE 2 SHOWER CAPS & 2 SETS OF TOOTHBRUSH WITH TOOTHPASTE. I dont understand why people claim there isnt any. But I have just a tiny wish that the main room light could be alittle brighter. Location is almost the best you can get for $100 a night in Orchard Road. Breakfast is Toast, Juice & Coffee. If you have travelled far & wide you should know it is as good as it can get. Some hotels such as H81 or similar don't even serve you any breakfast with almost the same price at some other areas. At least it does save you a meal per day & get you on your way. I feel they are rather like a hostel & i am happy with my stay. Would give it a full 3 stars for a 3 star hotel.

On top of our list is the hotel staff - friendly, warm, efficient and proactive. They are the hotel’s best assets! Well-trained, polite and educated, incl the breakfast crew. Definitely, A1 rating. Second is the hotel room . While it may not be spacious, it had very comfortable beds/pillows, excellent airconditioning and was always cleaned early by housekeeping. Third, breakfast was filling though average. Finally, location is excellent- walking distance to shopping malls & restos,, accessible by bus, and near Church for Sunday Mass. But still in a quiet alley for us not to be disturbed . Will definitely return with fam & friends. Love the hotel! Love the staff! stayed in Holiday Express Inn when I was in Europe but didnt enjoy as much as I did in Singapore! Thank you to the staff!

It was my first time travelling out of country so I made sure I'd get the best hotel with cheaper price, and so I decided to book with Agoda. Checking in was fast. I spent not longer than 5 minutes and we were good to go in to our room. Check in should be at 2pm but we were made to check in an hour earlier since the room was ready when we got there. The hotel us quite far from famous tourist attractions but there is a bus stop just across the hotel in front of Raffles Girls School. Also, you can take taxi just in front of the hotel entrance, or take a Grab ride. Rooms were quite small but really clean. If you are a tourist and you spend most of your time outside, you wouldn't really mind the room size. I had a great time staying there. If I go back to Singapore, I would choose to stay here again.

This is an excellent hotel,probably the best we have stayed in,that offers the best of everything. The rooms are first class,with high speed wifi,large TV with 37 channels to chose from,a superb sound system to plug your iPhone into,this also charges,which is very convenient.There is a large free standing bath,which my wife enjoyed,and a large overhead shower. Breakfast was excellent,with quality juices and coffee.The little things that make a big difference.The outlook is very pleasant,looking out onto the parkland gardens. If you want to spend some time around the pool you are in for treat as both pools have the cleanest crystal clear water I have ever seen. The gym is simply the best I have ever used anywhere.The equipment is first class and all in very good working order.Again you look out onto the parkland gardens. We had a meal in their Italian restaurant,which was very pleasant and reasonably priced. Finally,we found the staff very helpful and enthusiastic. We will definitely stay here again.

I had a great time in the Marriott Singapore hotel. From the first time we arrived me with my young kids we were welcomed with cold water and a smile during a busy day with people passing by the orchid road as its location is on that main road. The room type and size was great with all the facilities we needed. Food and their tea timing and sides were wonderful in the lobby.

i only stayed for a night with my friends (there was 3 of us), but my overall experience was definitely 5/5. we arrived early in singapore and got an early check-in which totally helped because we weren't planning to stay in the city center to wait for 2pm. when we got into our hotel room, everything was neat, there was extra towels and overall, a really great room for the cheap price we paid for it. we even found an extra pillow which was a great bonus. location, location, location! that is definitely the best part about this hotel. it was so close to orchard and even the somerset mrt station. we didn't get breakfast with our room, so waking up in the morning to get some food was way easy. we're already planning for another trip to singapore and have already decided to stay at this hotel again. i would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good stay in singapore!

Overall the hotel is excellent--the gardens, quality of food and service are all as to be expected from a hotel of this quality. I stayed only for the weekend but will return again soon for another visit. On the first night I had a table of ten booked into the Japanese restaurant; the quality was the best I have ever had but be prepared to pay the price, around 250 SGD per head. The buffet breakfast and lunch are also very good but again not cheap really. Singapore in general is expensive.

The location is the main part of my review. The locations is a bit far from the central orchard (takasimaya, paragon, etc) require about 3-5 minute walk via underpass to there. A bit far from me because the last time i stay in mandarin orchard (this hotel is centrally located). I think the room is a bit small compare to other hotel that i've been stayed in singapore. Other than that the service and staff are hilton standard, whiches a good one. One of the restaurant at the hotel are claimed one of the 50th best restaurant in the world by the brochure in the hotel. Oh by the way it doesn't have free wi-fi whiches disappointing and one time i take a shower the water heater is not working like it supposed to do (only slightly warm compare from the other time i used the shower)

Overall it was an awesome experience. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, bathroom was big and cosy, bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is located really close to Orchard Road, a good 20-minutes leisurely stroll or about 2-3 bus stops away. It was not cheap, but it is worth every single cent we paid for. The brunch at Le Brezza was very good too, they have really nice and fresh seafood, best oysters we ever had. On the downside, we found the spread for the evening cocktail very limited. And I craved for ice cream and called the personal butler to find out what flavor ice creams they had, however, they couldn't tell me and I was only told 'seasonal flavors'. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me from going back to St.Regis again. We were very satisfied with our stay overall. Oh, not to forget, they upgraded us to a better room and arranged for late check-out without us asking for it even. Great value-added service! Two thumbs-up! Highly recommended.

Our stay was enhanced by the location-although we arrived at about 9.30pm, we managed to take a quick walk to survey the area and see the fabulous lights along Orchard Road. We also walked to the Botanical and Orchid Gardens which were exceptional. the hotel at this time of the is so beautifully decorated that it is a treat in itself! The Reception staff were polite - obviously well trained. Breakfast was delicious- great range catering for everyone!The high tea is a must! We had the best sleep ever - on a holiday, which we have never had on any other holiday!

A very pleasant stay. The boutique quality (34 rooms) nestled amongst rich garden, backing onto local residences with minimal traffic made for a peaceful stay. A 7 minute walk to Somerset MRT/Orchard Rd with a host of eateries in between made it a very convenient retreat after a full day out, as did the piping hot shower (great pressure!) and air-con. A fee dispensing machine - coffee,tea, milo was available. Ours was a Standard room: ample storage space, comfortable bed, coffee/tea facilities, free wi-fi, comfortable bed, fridge, safe, even an iron and ironing board! Coming back each evening to gift-wrapped local biscuits and card was a nice touch. Breakfast vouchers were issued each morning for a choice of two restaurants within easy walking distance. FairPrice supermarket 200 metres down the road was a bonus. As frequent travellers to Singapore, this is the best accommodation we've stayed in as it ticks all the boxes. If you want to avoid the impersonal hotel chain experience, Lloyd's inn is the go. We'll be back.

Very friendly and welcoming staff team, every single person greeted us at all times even when we ran across them in the parking lot. We were shown around the property when we arrived and got to see all facilities. Breakfast was nice, always refilled with fresh fruit, toast etc. Free coffee 24 hours from machine in lobby. Nice gym area, open 24 hours. very nice pool area with plenty of shade and free pool towels. We booked a one room apartment which was very sufficient for one week, but had of course some minor limitations, such as only one comfy chair for 2 people (plus two kitchen chairs). No electrical outlet in the bathroom, so you must blowdry your hair in livingroom with no mirror. very convenient to have our own washing machine in the bathroom. a foldable hanging rack for clothes would have been perfect to have. upon arrival, basic set of groceries is provided, very convenient. plenty of supermarkets nearby, lookout for cold storage or fairprice shops. fresh drinking water provided daily and additionally upon request by reception. no housekeeping on weekends, but we were told we could ask for fresh towels from reception those days too. Residence location is off Orchard Rd on a side street, you can cross through to Scotts Plaza Hotel lobby via carpark. Orchard MRT station must be reached via underpass through 2 malls, which can be a bit tiring at times. would come again, mostly for friendly staff and great pool area.

I liked staying at the Orchard Garden Hotel. It's my first time to stay there and I liked it. They have a friendly staff. I met two Filipino staff members at the Front Desk. They spoke Filipino with me and that is why I immediately felt at home in the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near the shopping district of Singapore. I just walked to nearby shops. When I'm tired from shopping, I go back to my room to rest a bit and leave my things behind. Then, I go back shopping and dining again. The suite where I stayed is clean and is complete with amenities. At first, I didn't know how to operate the television set, but I called up the Service and they immediately sent someone to assist me. The person who assisted me was very courteous. I also enjoyed wading and swimming at the pool. I spent the afternoon swimming. Although the pool wasn't big enough, it was a relief despite the humid weather. I was not able to check whether there was a gym because I didn't bring any workout clothes with me. It would have been better if there was a sauna or spa in the hotel. It would also be better if breakfast is included in the hotel rates, whether the traveller wants to eat breakfast there or not. This would be most convenient for the traveller.
