Hotels near Newton Food Centre

Generally one of the best hotels in Singapore. It's location is exceptional. Easily accessible to MRT and bus stops. Just walking distance to all shopping centres. There is abundant food centres and courts surrounding the hotel. All major banks and offices are around this hotel. Moreover many well-known hospitals are within the are and health-care management is at arms length. Facilities for middle class are available at Lucky Plaza - just two minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is a first class one, its services are exceptional and well suited for business as well as for tourists.

Well, I don't expect much when I book this hotel but after staying for 3 nights my opinion was changed. The hotel located near many shopping centre. As I entered the hotel lobby, the lobby looks modern and futuristic. You can self check-in with computers on the lobby. However, I stayed during peak season so only one room available at that time and I have to wait 1 hour until the other rooms are cleaned. The lobby were so busy all the time especially during check out and check in time. After check in, i went to the room. The room is small but it is well designed, clean and comfortable. The bed is reclining bed so you can sit and watch tv. TV has many channels and HD clean. The breakfast were average. Mostly western food with egg station available. Free great coffee from coffee machine too! The staff were great and helpful too, they speak english very well, quite friendly and definitely helpful! After everything, I would highly recommend Yotel Singapore. It was great experience.

I stayed there for 1 week and was really impressed with the outstanding service shown by all the staff members. The rooms were very clean. The location of the hotel was very ideal right in the centre on Orchard Road, close to all the shopping and food centres on Orchard Road. The only thing was the rooms were a little smaller than other hotels I've stayed at on Orchard Road, but that wasn't a big problem, still enough room to move in. Will definately stay at the Grand Park hotel for every visit that I make to Singapore. Would recommend it very highly.

Visiting Singapore for the first time in several years and found York Hotel well located for all our needs. It's between 13 and 17 minutes walk from Orchard and Somerset MRT respectively. The hotel restaurant serves excellent local food with the option of food courts in shopping centres on Orchard Road or a 17 min walk to Newton Food Centre of Scotts Road. Taxis are easy to come by and a number of buses along Orchard Road. The room itself is clean and well maintained with staff polite and attentive. Facilities are good with everything a traveler needs. Cupboard could do with a few more coat hangers but this was quickly resolved by the staff. We liked it so much we booked a few more nights and will return to stay on our next visit.

This hotel is in the best location if you want to be near Orchard Road. It was right in the middle of orchard road but slightly further back so its away from the noisy busy streets of orchard road. Right in front of the hotel is a great little side street which is open all day and all night serving fresh seafood, satay skewers, hainan chicken rice and a lot of other yummy things for a cheap price. The hotel was very clean, and our room was perfect. we were on the top floor so the room was very quiet. the hotel lobby staff were amazing also. We had the best stay there and would definately stay again.

This is our re stay in concorde hotel, rightnow this hotel is our first choice when we come to singapore particullarly when we intend to go to orchard area. This hotel location in the central of orchard road, you can dine in this hotel with great foods but you also could try something new outside the hotel on the food centre, or try kopitiam on kiliney road opposite of this hotel only 5 minutes take a walk from the hotels, if you intend go to sentosa island or USS there are shuttle bus sentosa ressort for free and the shelter just the left side of this hotel

This is a grand old hotel that provides a little haven in the centre of the city. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly, food is good, and you can sip a reasonable cocktail by the pool. Room size is generous and it is birdsong rather than traffic noise that wakes you in the morning. Orchard Road is just a short walk. It is also close to Newton Circus. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

We stayed for 3 nights here. The location is very nice. Its 5mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station near Plaza Singapora. It has 7-11 shops available near by so u can get your break fast/snack anytime while on your way out or back to hotel. It has a neat swimming pool on roof top accessible by lift 1 only with an outstanding view of the vicinity. Recommend a panoramic photo from there. Hotel has two entrances, the other one opens towards the main Orchard Road, where you can find a number of malls like Orchard Point, Orchard Central, Ngee Ann city center, 313 Somerset, Apple Store. This road has multiple bus stops. Get yourself a 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited trips to MRT & Public busses. Both have a/c so thats a relieve in 35C temp during the day. The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. Use mini bus to reach your hotel. It will cost you $SGD 9 per person with a travel time of 25-30mins. Booking stand is location at last level. They charge credit card and d

its a wonderful hotel and highly recommended for families with kids. centrally located and very convenient to orchard road through the link bridge to paragon shopping centre. super easy to access through the pool area on the 4th floor. estimated 1-2mins walk time to paragon through covered walkway, so no worries abt rain or kids crossing the road. super easy to maneuvre with kids tagging. we stayed in a 1 bedroom unit, super spacious with good kitchenette facilities, washing machine, dishwasher, cooker and 2 tv. wifi was superb, very strong reception and we connected the wifi to 4 smartphones with no disruption. good water pressure for the showers. all in all... a highly recommended location in orchard for families who are looking for extra space.

Had a weekend stay and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel and the room. Internet coverage and access was good and food in their mezza9 restaurant was of superb quality and taste! Hotel is located just outside of the main Orchard Road area making it less crowded and noisy. It took less than 5 mins to walk to the beginning of the Orchard Road belt where all the shopping centres and boutiques are located. Staff were friendly and warm upon check in and check out. They genuinely made me feel welcome. Truly a 5 star hotel as they claim it to be!

Had to call the reception to get the plumber for about 4 times during our stay to fix the basin drain line due to always blocking. Had to remind the reception daily in order to get the daily complimentary newspaper. These two issues were the draw back during our stay . Other than that, the housekeeper was great. We had a very good sleep every night after coming back exhausted from shopping or sightseeing. The room is very clean & quiet. The twin beds are a bit smaller but very comfortable. The process of check in & out was fast too. Overall, this hotel is very close by to shopping centre, food centre & Orchard MRT station. We really enjoyed our stay especially during the Christmas Eve in Orchard road near Somerset with so many thousands of people celebrate Christmas count down. We will certainly coming back again to Singapore.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room is big and newly furbished. Simple contemporary deco and the toilet is new/clean. Really satisfied with the value paid for. Even the hotel is not located on Orchard Rd, taxi to Orchard Road is about SGD4.00 and to Newton Food Centre is about the same taxi ride. I will definitely return to stay at RELC hotel again on my next trip to Singapore.

My second time staying in Novotel. New hotel, near Orchard road, but away from the bustling of Orchard crowd. A few not so positive things to note : 1. I didn’t not request for an extra bed, but when I got to my room, there was an extra bed inside. I had booked the room for one pax only. 2. For a relatively new hotel, the drainage system is not very well maintained, shower room floods every time i used it 3. Lacking basic toiletries in shower cap, soap dish. 4. Aircon system of Food Exchange not maintained. Water dripping from ceiling, and heavy water marks can be seen around the aircon vent. 5. The hotel could have provided more information on shuttle bus service from T Galleria back to hotel, give the location of the pick up point at T Galleria. Other than that, it’s a cosy place, friendly staff, clean environment.

We spent 4 nights from 19 Dec to 23 Dec 2017 at Shangrila Apartments, with 3 adults, and 4 years & 7 years kids. We booked apartment with 1 bedroom & extra bed. Location wise is very quiet and is within 13 minutes walking to Lucky Plaza. Small private buses are available to drive you to Orchards shopping centre area, with scheduled timetable, though. The staffs are professional, very responsive & have very good attitudes. Room is clean and have all standard apartment utilities, although the microwave is quite old (using old technology that is not as easy to use compared to the modern one). Booking with Agoda is very easy and the coordination with Shangrila Aprtments is two thumbs up. Overall, it is good value for the money with expected Shangrila standards. Ofcourse, We will come again.

At first I was worried coz I already paid and confirmed my booking then just read the reviews of travellers who stayed in Hotel Supreme. I read many negative comments. I told my husband about it & said to him that we need to be ready when we arrived there :) First impression when we arrived was okay. You get what you pay for. What will you expect in a 3 star hotel. Be reasonable, of course the hotel is not extravagant but it's clean and cozy. The staffs are friendly &always smile. The room was so cold coz the aircon is centralized :)The room is okay&we are comfortable but yes there were ants in the room but it's tolerable.You should not leave food traces on the table so ants will not stay. The bathroom& toilet is OK,all clean except that It's difficult for us because there was no bidet in the toilet. I suggest that the hotel should improve it.I also want to suggest regarding the food. I think the hotel can increase their price a little bit & add more instead of bread coffee&juice.

It was my first time travelling out of country so I made sure I'd get the best hotel with cheaper price, and so I decided to book with Agoda. Checking in was fast. I spent not longer than 5 minutes and we were good to go in to our room. Check in should be at 2pm but we were made to check in an hour earlier since the room was ready when we got there. The hotel us quite far from famous tourist attractions but there is a bus stop just across the hotel in front of Raffles Girls School. Also, you can take taxi just in front of the hotel entrance, or take a Grab ride. Rooms were quite small but really clean. If you are a tourist and you spend most of your time outside, you wouldn't really mind the room size. I had a great time staying there. If I go back to Singapore, I would choose to stay here again.

We stayed in several hotels in Malaysia and Singapore during our holiday, and this one seemed to combine the best features of all the others we'd seen or stayed at. It had a great location in the centre, maybe a little walk to the MRT (Dhoby Ghaut) but not too far. The park surroundings made up for it though. The room we had was just about large enough, with large windows and controlled Venetian blinds. The shower was great, the bath one of the most comfortable. The air-con was easily controllable and the bed comfortable. We were worried about the cost for our last hotel, similar to the others we'd stayed at, but it was well worth it. In the lobby free drinks (Prosecco/Wine/Cocktails) were provided every evening, the breakfast had a great selection, and the pool was excellent. The staff were really helpful, we had one evening meal in the restaurant. A little pricey for wine, but it was backed up by a knowledgeable sommelier and good contemporary Italian food. Overall, I cannot really fault it.

I have always stayed here when coming to Singapore. Singapore Marriott Hotel is the best and my most favourite hotel to stay when coming to Singapore, highly recommended especially if you are a shoppaholic. It is located exactly at the centre of the great Orchard Road which everyone knows is a shopping heaven for all shoppers. Around the hotel, there are several big shopping malls like the ION Orchard, Wisma Atria, Takashimaya, Shaw Centre, Wheelock Place, Far East Plaza, Tangs Plaza, Lucky Plaza, Paragon, and some other smaller shops scattered around the Orchard Road and all of them are only minutes of walking distance from the hotel. It is always be my first choice of hotel when coming to Singapore.

I was really impressed with the look of this hotel. It's better than your average Holiday Inn. It's in a very good location just off Orchard Road opposite Somerset MRT a 10 min strole away. Lots of cheap food centres, 7-11's and all the shopping centres. Directly outside the rear is a nice area of bars and restaurants. The premier delux we stayed in was a good size. Very modern styling. It had everything you needed and the equipment was good quality, power hair drier. The only negative about this place is that the internet is not included in the lower priced packages offered and they hike the price of the packages to include internet. The charges are steep, although if you get a good room deal and have to pay extra it means the total price is maybe still lower than some other hotels. I am a tourist but my husband needs to work, we do a lot of internet research. Just a warning.

We went to Singapore with our 3year old daughter for our Chinese New Year Holiday. We had a great stay at the hotel! The overall experience is wonderful, the staff are very helpful. They are very detail oriented. We were contacted by the hotel before our arrive date to make sure all of out special needs are met. I asked them to provide a bottle sterilizer and a stepping stool for my daughter. When we arrived at the room, the botther sterilizer was just washed very clean and new and the stool is ready in our bathroom! Also, because my duaghter can't really stay in heat, sleeps quite early, so we couldn't really go to those outdoor food centers for all those great singapore food. So we asked the Concierge for a special request for them to run down to Newton Food Center for us to buy some nice food back for us. They did not take any extra charge from us, instead, they only asked us to pay for the taxi fee and what we ordered. We really loved that! So we were able to enjoy our chilli crab in our hotel room at night! Oh, also, they cusomter service also offered us if we would like to go to sentosa's new casino, they have babysitters available too to look after our little girl! Which this was not listed in the hotel service in Shangri-la's website. So, greatly recommend for those families who has young toddlers and can't run out at night or in the afternoon as freely as we would like to. These people can be freat help for you!

Overall it was an awesome experience. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, bathroom was big and cosy, bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is located really close to Orchard Road, a good 20-minutes leisurely stroll or about 2-3 bus stops away. It was not cheap, but it is worth every single cent we paid for. The brunch at Le Brezza was very good too, they have really nice and fresh seafood, best oysters we ever had. On the downside, we found the spread for the evening cocktail very limited. And I craved for ice cream and called the personal butler to find out what flavor ice creams they had, however, they couldn't tell me and I was only told 'seasonal flavors'. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me from going back to St.Regis again. We were very satisfied with our stay overall. Oh, not to forget, they upgraded us to a better room and arranged for late check-out without us asking for it even. Great value-added service! Two thumbs-up! Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I had a relaxing stay at Lloyd's Inn for 1 night. The hotel was near many big shopping centres and eating places (there's a 24-hour Indian cafe/restaurant on the same street), yet is quiet enough for us to enjoy some private time. We love the outdoor bathtub the most, it was the highlight of our stay. We were lucky to get the skyroom on Agoda, because it was stated as sold out on the hotel's page. We had a peek into the Reading room on our way to our room, and it seemed pretty small though sufficient enough for a party of 2. So, we made the best out of the room we got - that means spending lots of time outside in the tub. The staff was friendly and most of them are locals, from the receptionist to the cleaning aunties. :) Few gripes we had was there wasn't a flask in the room (my boyfriend searched the drawers), and there was only a curtain to separate the outdoor area and the toilet. A sliding door would have been nice. When it rained at night, it was quite loud and gave me quite a good scare - but thats just me. Other than that, we also thought the price was tad steep for 1 night even though it was a promotional price, as the pool was not big enough for swimming and there was no cafe in the hotel (but to be fair they gave us breakfast vouchers). Other than that - pretty lovely place for local/overseas guests. One tip is to be sure to book a room that you would enjoy - for us it was the outdoor tub for it meant we could bask in the sun in our own backyard.

We are very grateful for the free upgrade from a two bedroom to a three-bedroom premium during our 8-day stay with 8 on Claymore. The apartment is huge with plenty storage space. The dishwasher (when housekeeping not available during weekend) and the washing/drying machine are user-friendly. There were snacks and cup noodles in the welcome basket (one-off supply) which was great when we were hungry upon arrival and all the restaurants nearby were closed. The 24-hour gym and 16-hour swimming pool were clean and superb. Centrally located on Scott’s Road, it takes only 5 min to Orchard MRT if you take the short-cut through its back door to its sister hotel. Supermarkets, shopping malls, restaurants (from food court to Michelin two star) are all within a few minutes’ walk. Everything was great during our stay! Would definitely recommend to everyone going to Singapore!!!

It was good. We had a large and clean room with bottle water, coffee and tea served everyday. Everything we needed, this hotel supported well. Shampoo, body wash, body lotion, toothpaste...are good quality. Breakfast was OK but expected to be improved. Located near the Stevens station however it would be an bad experience if u decided to walk from Orchard or Newton station.... Overall, good place to stay but remember that u may have difficulties finding a nearby convenient store or restaurant.

The Fort Canning Lodge is a relatively cheap (for Singapore) three star hotel, which is one of the two budget hotels I may stay at transiting Singapore 7-8 time annually as academic. Have been staying there off and on since the late 1990s. Basically a family hotel rather than a business hotel. Location is just around the corner from Plaza Singapura, and not far from the Clarke and Boat Quays. Just across the street from Fort Canning, best park in Singapore. Laundromat in the basement. Breakfast is okay but not great, so I would normally just book the room alone and go to McDonald's nearby for breakfast. Would recommend it for anyone on a budget. Great value for Singapore purposes.
