Location is great. So close to the local bus stop and walking distance to local night market. Hotel staff were very helpful. They helped book a scooter and the company dropped off and picked up at the end. Staff are super helpful with a smile. Rooms are clean, maintained well and comfortable. The pool is nice but a bit weird having it in the lobby foe everyone to view. We enjoyed it once we got in the pool. Breakfast was okay. yummy muffin and brownie. Egg available with toast and some cereal. Not anything to rave about. Fruit was yum. At least we got fed for the morning. Great value for money.

It is the best resort that I have ever stayed at. Nothing that I can complaint about. The hotel ground and room are gorgeous. We reserved the 2 queen bed room and it was so spacious, I even felt lost at first haha. The staff from check in, to restaurant, to check out are flawless, friendly, and professional. I can't remember but Kate/Katie checked us in and she was the best to work with, always with a smile. I really appreciate how the bus driver made sure people with reservation for night market bus get the priority and don't let other people cut in line. They also gave my mom a birthday cake to celebrate her birthday and surprised her. That was a very nice gesture! Highly recommend and will definitely come back!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Grand Vista. The hotel is open just 1 month and there are still some work being done (the pool), but my stay was great. Everything in the room was brand new and of high quality. Super comfortable! Located right on the main highway in town I thought the traffic noise would be an issue but in the end it was no problem. Directly across from the big Central Plaza Mall - there are numerous food court options that are infinitely better than the night market downtown. Also Big C mini-mall next door - useful when giving directions to taxi and tuk tuk drivers. I would prefer this hotel than most of the older properties in town.

Memorable. The moment on arrival, we knew we had made the right choice the smiling staff were there to greet us, & that smiley service remained for whole duration of our stay. In fact we only booked to stay 2 nights of our 10 day road trip & ended up staying 5 nights. The staff, that also includes the owner/managers could not do enough to help us, they provided all the services you would expect from a resort style concierge. We never expect fluent English from the Thai, but their English was good. We all had some laughs learning a few new Thai/English words To us the Le Patta Hotel is more of a boutique style hotel, 40 rooms means it is not over run with droves of guest buzzing around like the middle of Bangkok & does not have a 5 acre swimming pool. but it provides a very tranquil, Quiet & easily accessible place to stay. Le Patta is conveniently located just around the corner (yes walk) from the night bazaar, top restaurants, shops, lots of markets, day & night & many other tourist attractions. The room (being a brand new Hotel), was exceptionally clean, well designed, spacious, cosy king size bed, huge bathroom/shower, bedside controls for all the light & cooling, plenty of room to park your cases, free mini bar & so on. A well deserved 4 star rating at an incredibly good price. (Our room was the Deluxe.). Breakfast was al a carte; Thai, English & American but you could pretty much have any combo on the menu. & yes the breakfast service was excellent. Chiang Rai was a great home base to see all that Northern Thailand has to offer without spending all day on the road getting to and from the places of interest. Our 4th trip to Thailand. We have stayed in dozens of Hotel/Motels & this one was truly fantastic Thankyou La Patta.....Kop Khun Krub

This hotel has been one of the highlights of my travels around Asia. Set on a quiet road about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Chiang Rai, the fairly ordinary entrance road does not prepare you for what waits at reception and beyond. Once checked in the friendly staff guide you through a tropical paradise of plants and trees to one of the spacious and well equipped bungalows. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent as this is one of the prices you pay for staying in the centre of so much greenery. Reception staff are friendly and helpful although two of my few criticisms of the resort are that a) Their airport transfer is overpriced by about 200 baht (I booked through the tour place across road) and b) some of their tours are also more expensive than walking across road - plus there do not seem a lot of options for the solo traveller. But these are both small, easily remedied criticisms. The attached restaurant bar provides breakfast in the morning and drinks and meals at night; remember to get your daily 10% discount coupon and remember the 3 for 2 happy hours too. The restaurant have both friendly staff and some amazing food. Try the Kao Soi Gai - a new dish for me and now one of my all time Thai favourites! The breakfast buffet was perhaps the best I have experienced with a wide range of Thai and Western choices. Also easy to get a tuk tuk up to the night market (should be about 50 baht each way) All in all, the LaLuna is a gem in Chiang Rai and is most definitely on the 'must return' list!

very impressed wiith this hotel,right in the middle of all the action,from my bedroom window i can see the night market the bus station,everything is in walking distance i never had to get a taxi once,i walked everywhere,many internet cafes across the road,many restaurants,many shops massage shops mini marts etc,you cannot beat this hotel for location,great buffet breakfast in morning huge selection,dentist close by once your located at this hotel everything you need is within walking distance,very safe at night,2 mins walk from hotel is night bazar with many outdoor cheap places to eat,would reccomend to anyone.

1. Location : In the heart of Chiang Rai town centre. Near to the Clock Tower (musical clock tower everyday at 7,8 & 9pm) only 10 mins walk. 2. Food : A lot of halal restaurant near Darunaman Mosque (only 5 mins walk from here). 3. Shopping : Night market open everyday (except Sunday) is 10 mins walk. Saturday Night Market is 5 mins walk. 7Eleven is just 3 mins walk & open 24 hrs. Central Plaza is 10 mins drive. 4. Facilities : Internet was very good in the room. Lift provided. Room and toilet very clean. Toiletries provided. Enough space for car park, just in front of the hotel. 5. Staff : Staffs were very polite and full of smile. 6. Value for money : For RM 89 per night its really worth the money!

Very clean hotel located not to far from the Saturday night market and a little bit further from the Friday night market. It's just around the corner from the Oub Kham museum (which I recommend). The staff was outstanding. Very friendly and eager to help. The breakfast buffet was good for the size of the hotel. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom and shower were nice, which is really important to me. No other facilities to speak of that I recall, but we were just there to sleep and the rest of the time was spent touring the city and surrounding areas so we didn't care if there was a pool or exercise room. I'd definitely stay there again.

All the things are perfect ! Great location ( from the airport, I rent a car - but I'm not sure about nearby food or market since I checked in at night and check ed out at noon and find something else to eat in downtown) The building was totally new, a lot of car parks. The room itself was clean, neatly with good smell. ( Would be 150% if you can provide shower cap !) Not noisy out there, a lot of electricity sockets :) Recommend !

stayed for two nights, this hotel is approx 200m away from the new central department store and about 5min ride away from the night markets. hotel has a free shuttle service that drops off and picks up from the market. the hotel room was quite big, very comfortable and clean with great bathroom and good shower/bath. buffett breakfast was reasonable and worthwile. hotel staff very friendly and helpful (my partner speaks thai so that did help). beautiful pool area for relaxing. if i ever visit chiang rai again, i will definately be staying there again. great value for money

Everything about the hotel was a positive from From our airport pick up, to the warm welcome we received at check in we couldn't have wanted a better place to stay after our 23+ hours flying from New York City to Chiang Rai.The hotel is comprised or two story bungalows set in flowering gardens. Our room on the second floor had an outside balcony with comfortable furniture, our room was divided into teo areas, one with a large comfortable bed, dresser, tv, etc. The other with a desk/work area and a small frig. The hotel provided drinking water in glass resealable bottles, which is much better then throw away plastic bottles. The pool has a view of the river along with more gardens. We had one of the best massages we have ever had and before dinner a hotel shuttle took us to the night market and picked us up at the agreed upon time.For a candle lit dinner outside with live music and the sounds of the river flowing by, not to mention a truly delicious Thai meal and great service. A hotel not to be missed if visiting the area.

Chaiang Rai is a small city. Nevertheless it's best to stay near the bus terminal. Chiang Rai Hotel is within a ten minute walking distance from this focal point. You will have no trouble getting on the green/city bus. The clock tower is right near the hotel as is a local market which is open every day. The Night Market is also quite close. The hotel was quiet and very clean. Breakfast opens early and is diverse, including standard continental breakfast as well as Thai dishes.

Wangcome Hotel is an older hotel that has been renovated. Breakfast is a nice buffet; forget the small shaded pool. Many massage shops and eateries all around the hotel all within an easy walk. About 5 minutes walking takes you to the night market which opens at about 6PM daily; lots of value gifts to be had (I always find something). Grab a tuk-tuk and head to the mall for 80 baht.

The Rasa is a totally renovated hotel (used to be the Whitehouse) - looks and feels new! I gave 5 stars to them - 2nd time in my life to do this. My wife was surprised by how fast the internet was in our room. The beds were very comfortable, the room was large and bright. The only draw back from the entire hotel was the small, but highly functional bathroom - don't move fast, Thai or farang! My compliments to however did the design work. The breakfast is included in the price and is 5 star quality. You can guess which hotel I will be staying in on my next trips to Chiang Rai. A 10 minute walk will take you to the clock tower and another 3 minutes to the night market area or the town center.

Truly, this is my secret hideaway, as it seems to have everything I need. It is reasonably priced, and located in a very convenient area. It is smack bang right alongside the old AirForce Base (not used anymore) and is a popular running track for early morning joggers. Breakfast is very very Thai, and not attractive to many foreigners, however there is nothing stopping you taking your own breakfast cereals etc. The Hotel caters for many bus travelling groups, however they stay in the multi-person units, whereas more upmarket units are available which are quite attractive. The gym,spa and swimming pool are free to use by the Hotel guests.The township of Chiang Rai has many attractions, and cultural identities. Elephant Camps can also be found within 20 kms from the town outskirts. The night markets are big and enjoyable, and the local park is beautifully kept, with a huge arrange of flowers...the tulips are magnificent. The new Shopping Mall in Chiang Rai is brilliant, and especially caters for 'Farang' diners. Pimanninn value for money? For the first time ever, and I have submitted heaps of reviews for Agoda......5 Stars.....my favourite. Could quite easily live fulltime at this Hotel, as the AirAsia service to Bangkok and beyond is so convenient. I found this Hotel via Agoda, which didn't seem to contain many positive reviews about this Hotel, but I am ever so glad that I acquainted myself with this location, and will return in due course. Chiang Rai is old, but has a lot of lovely character, and is tucked away from all the hype and noise of other touristy places.

All Good. spacious room, love the shower room floor pattern. Friendly Staffs. Free basic breakfast (toast, cereal, milk, coffee, tea, ovaltine). Windows is facing to motorbike parking, it is not noisy, but the hundred birds on the trees did, sometimes can hear it clearly. Single traveler might better to join the local tour from outside, it is cheaper. but if you are more than 1 person, can book their private driver. Hotel locates near a hospital, it was not a problem, even have some food stall just outside of the alley. 15 -20 mins walking distance to Night Market & Clock Tower.

We booked this as base camp for seeing the white, blue and black temples. The location was a little off the beaten path. We walked from the bus station. That said when you arrive if you want to go to the night market there is transportation provided. Rooms were fairly basic, but clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and willing to help in any capacity they could. The breakfast had enough variety and the grounds were very beautiful.

Pros:- -the most comfortable bed ever, the mattress is very comfortable not too soft not too hard. the pillow is also very comfortable. -very clean -large room -mini fridge -hot water kettle -kitchenette sink area -bathroom is nice, large bathroom sink, shower is separated from toilet by curtain -hot water pressure is good, they provide soap bar -sofa area with tv -long bench where you could sit and go on laptop for example -clothes wardrobe Cons:- -free wifi is very spotty, if you manage to connect it's fast but the connection disappears and reappears so i just rely on my own sim card to tether -no shower gel or liquid soap provided -car park gets full quick -location wise not too many restaurants around, there's a few if you walk but not much. 7-11 is down the road though. best to have a car or scooter if staying here.

We booked a 1 bedroom deluxe with an extra bed. The living room, bathroom (with a separate shower stall, ample shelves, hair dryer and shower cap) and bedroom (with cable tv, a poster bed, a single mattress on the floor) were clean and spacious. The bed and mattress were comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a great variety. The only con is that the hotel is not near the night market but we had a guide cum driver so transport was not a problem for us. Near the hotel (right onto the main road and right again) are some small local food stalls, laundromat and small convenience shops. The hotel provides a small menu (pork with rice, etc) if you want dinner delivery. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay here again.

It was our first time to Chiangrai. Banlomnow was our right choice. It is located in a small lane. If you want to run away from the noisy main street, you must choose it. By the way, it is not far away from the things you need, like food, drinks, shopping.... quite near to night market and a big shopping mall. The front desk lady can speak very good English. She suggested the good places for sightseeing. She is our angel, always with a sweet smile. The room is cozy, new and clean. I am sure that the owner runs this house by heart, you can see from the decoration, cleanliness and every single little thing. We enjoyed our 2-night stay and will definitely come back to Banlomnow next time. .

we can only say beatiful words for poy and kung, the owners of the place, who made us feel at our home in every sense, and their guesthouse. we ended up staying 4 nights there, as the location was perfect, extremely clean, every single detail was taken into account,breakfast so complete and tasty, all in all, the perfect stay you can think about. the garden was beautiful, the common areas so clean, and lovely decorated (really, so charming!!!), our room was very convenient, with perfectly sealed mosquito nets in windows and aircon, mattress so comfortable, cold pure water provided at will...free bikes were provided by the house, the surroundings are so beautiful for biking. chiang rai night market only 10 minutes away on foot. but the top of the tops were poy and kung's attention, you can see they do the best to make you feel as if you were at home. seriously, this is one of the best places we have ever stayed in...and we travel a lot.

Taxi from Airport to hotel 200 THB. Nice room, great bed, firm. Choice of pillows, perfect for a good night sleep. Only bad thing is the bathroom floor, very slippery when wet. Breakfast OK, Thai and western food, liked the coffee brewing machine. For dinner there is street food at an outdoor market between Family Mart and 7-11, also el fresco dinning in a tropical garden, all within 200 m. Will stay there again.
