I stay this hotel 2 nights and it's very clean and big space. A girl at reception her name call "Fern" is very helpful to help me to give a call for confirmation of my driver while I can't reach my driver. Friendly Staff at Restaurant and very polite bellhop guide us to room and also send our luggage. About 10 minutes car journey to Surat Thani night market.Can easily get Grab from hotel.

I made a mistake and booked a month ahead of my arrival date. Luckily there were plenty of rooms (it's a very large hotel) and the staff simply asked me to contact Agoda to send a revised coupon - no other hassle at all. I was very busy with work, and even before I could do that, the new coupon was emailed to me. So thanks Agoda and thanks very much to the lady at the Diamond Hotel reception who must have initiated that for me. Loved my short stay there - and the night market was sensational.

Good location, right near the night market. hotel is very clean and modern, had a really good sleep. The staff were very helpful, we stayed two nights in total but had a night in between at khao sok national park. The hotel staff let us leave our suitcases at the hotel after night 1, so we didn't have to take them with us. couldn't fault the hotel at all. It's also very close to the phantip bus office where you can get to khao sok national park from. would definitely recommend and stay again

We were on a road trip from Malaysia all the way to Chiang Rai. Suratthani (S Tara) was a stop by for us to put up a night. We booked this room purely based on reviews on Agoda and the room was very cheap! We werent expecting much for the price we paid but we were SURPRISED when we arrived. We reached the hotel at midnight (1am) and the staff actually came out and greet us and helped us with the luggages all the way to the room. Something even 4/5 star hotels might not do at times. Room was decently comfortable, clean and spacious. Air conditioning was a little noisy but i wouldnt complain about that for what its worth. Breakfast was also included in the room price and the variety was decent. All in all, i'd definitely recommend this hotel for budget travellers looking for a decent hotel (best value for money).

We stayed only one night on our way to Koh Samui. The hotel is located 70km away from Racha ferry terminal but we were already very exhausted driving for 10 hrs from Bangkok by the time we got there and needed to rest. The hotel is tucked in a little alley but not that difficult as there is Tesco Lotus on the other side of the road. The hotel is super clean and the female staff at the reception seems genuinely happy to provide good service. The shower, bed etc, everything was GREAT considering what we paid. There is a little local Thai restaurant with picture menu in front of the hotel or you can walk 500 m to Tesco Lotus for dinner. The parking is reasonably spacious. Great stay.

This time 8 of us just 1 night at CBD2 on the way back from Hua Hin to Penang . Very good location . Just across the bridge from the Pillar Shrine & riverside night market . Just 15min drive to Central Plaza . What a surprise to get a such great mall in here . The hotel just situated at Tapee riverside . Not so clean but have great scene for photos . You can have your breakfast & night hang out at riverside but watch out for mosquito at night . Less variety breakfast but delicious pork & chicken porridge they served . Room with 2 queens size bed . Excellent ...sure will come back again

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and are baggage was quickly attended to by porters once we exited ghe cab. The front desk expected us and had our reservation ready to go (the first time this has happened in 4 weeks if travelling). Check in was smooth though we had to pay extra for my breakfast since our occupancy was booked for only 1,not 2 on their system. The rooms are dated but clean and I always got a great sleep. There were no bugs in our room but a few large, slow mosquitoes in the lobby. I really enjoyed my Thai food in the restaurant and ate there many times. The service was great consistently for my husband and I. Breakfast is good too with a mix of thai and western foods, so you should be able to find something you will enjoy. The pool is sizable and refreshing. Massages were outstanding, we had 4 between my husband and I, all around 300 baht. They go very hard so you may be quite sore the next day, keep that in mind if you're flying. Our laundry service was efficient and undergarments were folded in packaged together in cellophane bags, while our larger items were all ironed, hung, and placed in our room wardrobes later that afternoon. Prices are per piece, not weight, and laundry staff did not speak English but were friendly and helpful nonetheless. Much of the staff speaks very little English but we had no problems getting our needs met. This hotel also has a large number of thai guests who are travelling as well. Take a tuk tuk for 15-20 baht per person to the night market if you'd like some street food. The area has other restaurants and western food in the area too. Overall, it's convenient having the pool, massage, and restaurant all under one roof. Great value for the money.

Pros: this is a very new hotel with clean modern rooms and facilities Pool was very nice and clean Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection Very nicely stocked and priced vending machine for drinks and snacks Hotel offers ticket service and hotel pickup for both ferry lines going to Koh Samui koh, koh phangnan, Koh Tao Bicycles available for rent Staff was helpful and attentive 7-11 and a couple restaurants very close Over bridge from Surat Thani town so quiet at night Cons: Walking in to town is about 10 minutes over the bridge to most things but an easy walk Pool area could use a few more lounge chairs Restaurant offers room service but only open until 14:00 (2pm) Could use a lobby bar in hotel No scooter rental onsite (but this is mainly a transit hotel (1 night stay) anyway) Overall this is a solid choice for the money and everything up to standards Would stay again while in Surat Thani

Wie der Name schon sagt, ist das Hotel wirklich nur als Sleep Station geeignet. Frühstück gibt es nicht, dafür ist die Lage fein wenn man am nächsten Tag die Fähre nimmt. Das Unternehmen Seatran befindet sich wenige hundert Meter entfernt. Von dort aus kann man den Bus zum Hafen nehmen. Auch das Zentrum mit dem Night Market, der im übrigen zu empfehlen ist, ist in wenigen Minuten mit einem Songthaew zu erreichen. Leider ist das Hotel direkt an der Hauptstraße gelegen, wer also Wert auf ruhige Nächte legt, sollte lieber woanders schlafen. Uns hat es für den Preis nicht gestört. Zimmer war klein aber modern und sauber. Für unsere Zwecke hat es gut gepasst!

I was really miffed that this hotel list itself as city center, and location location! It is a 6.5 km taxi ride to the city center and bus station. I booked "city center" to be able to catch a early morning bus. They are perpetrating seriously false advertising. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay and the staff were very cordial. It was surprising that a hotel catering to the international clients would have a waitress who speaks literally no English. She was sweet and eager to please but the language barrier was A big one. How about Basic English classes for Hotel employees who want it ? How much could that cost in terms of the benefit of being able to communicate with international clients? This is a 100+ room hotel!

We booked this budget hotel to catch our morning flight after Samui trip. When we arrived, surprsingly this hotel is near to night market and most important the room is clean - bed, shower room and small hall. We walked to night market near Coliseum mall (about 2km). The night market is fantastic - you will find their local food, cheap clothing. We never expect all these as we thought the town is boring and quiet at night. We took tuktuk back and it only cost us 20baht per person :) After night market, we decided to go for foot massage in this hotel. The only word I can said is GOOD. Super relax! Try not to book the airport transfer from this hotel - it's bit pricey unless you want comfortable aircond taxi, or else take tuktuk to airport will only cost you 200baht per person. Highly recommended if you want to stay in this town for your flight.

We booked two rooms at this hotel, we had the deluxe and our friends the superior duplex..(we both wanted the superior but there was not enough left). Both rooms for the price to be fair, was spectacular! I think the hotel should be rated higher than 3 stars! I have stopped in "5*" places that where definitely of much lower quality! Our friends room with the gardened balcony, whirlpool bath and spacious contemporary design was particularly impressive. We didnt make breakfast but im sure it would have been great judging on the rest of the hotel. The staff on reception, didnt really speak any english, however, they pulled a freind in from somewhere to help, who arranged for laundry for us and even VERY kindly took us out for food, then picked us up included with the price! After coming in from the jungle at koh sok, the luxury we found here was most welcome... Would I go back if in area...? YES!

my place @ surat hotel i believe deserves recommendation. if you have to stay overnight in surat thani for whatever reasons, then i would advice to seriously think about staying in here. like others, we opted to spend 1 night in surat thani to catch a flight the next day. given what we paid for (aud $18 for 2 pax), we weren't expecting much. we chose this place because of the general positive feedback it has been given. upon arrival, the front facade of the place looks nice and clean, the staff greated us warmly with a nice welcome drinks and on their counter was a little board with our name written down to say "welcome" with our country's flag (australia)right above it. nice touch. the room we were given was big, very clean, had bottled water for free, fridge, new air-con, en-suite bathroom, free wi-fi, and t.v that had a lot of english channel/shows! after a week of watching al jazeera news (only thing in english where we were), this was exciting around the corner from the place was a night market that starts around 4 p.m. and "no. there were hardly any insects for sale". seriously, there were a number of great food to eat for sale which were cheap and you will not get sick e.g. barbecued pork, corn on the cob, pad thai, if you see the girl doing little pikelets with pandan spread inside (green looking paste) do yourself a favour and give it a try. it is delish!! the staff speaks little english but they will do their best to make sure that you are comfortable and that you don't get rip off. when you first get to surat thani e.g. if you arrive there by bus, where you get off, you will be pounced on by taxi drivers etc. trying to get you to commit into pre-booking them. don't!! just wait till you get to my place as they will tell you the different, really cheap and easy options of getting to the airport for example.

Wonderful staff, very helpful and knowledgeable with super comfortable beds! Very close to liquor distributor and even further down the street is a top notch indoor/outdoor restaurant and night club with live music all within a few minutes’ walk all on the same side of the street. This is my personal favorite place to stay in Surat Thani while traveling by motorcycle.

I like this hotel, the owners and staff are excellent, it is a budget hotel which is very easy to find. There are lots of restaurants on the street and it is cheap if you want to go out exploring. When I came back one night, the staff were eating with family, they invited me to sit with them & share some great food. I would stay there again as it was one of my favourite places.

Lovely large clean room but the hotel hard to find. We booked as a cheap overnighter as we were on the ferry to Koh Samui the next day. The hotel is new, its gardens are more like a plant nursery & market garden. The deck over the river was nice but there is nothing else. The hotel is out in the country but only 10 min drive to the ferry/bus depot. A nice place to stay for a transit stopover
