"Stayed in Classic room for a night, room is huge and sea facing, love the golden swings in room! Everything here is of high quality and well maintained, iPad is used to control the lights, curtain, aircon and TV as well as calling for service. Toilet bowl is those Japanese type that comes with warmer and self cleanse function.
Branded toiletries provided, not just shampoo, conditioner and body wash, but also including makeup remover, face cleanser and moisturiser (only lacking hair product for a complete set!). Complimentary snacks and drinks in the room too.
Bed for us in on the soft side, while pillows on the hard side. Will be even better if we can choose the types of pillows.
Service here is really good and personal, they were helpful with directions and helped to book a cab to nearby places. Nothing much in the area but a good place to chill by the sea (some sea activities available nearby), about 5minutes walking distance to a small train station. Shuttle service to a larger train station is available at addition cost if booked through Agoda.
Breakfast is a complete set, very filling and thoughtful. Original set comes with beef and seafood, we asked for alternatives and they gladly accommodated and prepared for us. Nice! Also tried the afternoon tea set at addition cost.
Overall a great stay and will recommend this if visiting Yilan area. Great job and keep it up!"

"We enjoyed our stay despite visiting in the off season when almost all other businesses were closed. The hotel is just a straight ten minute walk from Waiao train station but you do have to walk along a busy road for part of it. The staff didn’t speak much English but all were helpful and willing to use google translate when necessary. The rooms all have an ocean view and the huge bathtub was almost like having a pool in the room! Wonderful smelling and quality bath products and comfy bathrobes were provided. The included breakfast was simple but sufficient (eggs, toast, a few meat options, and fruit). We did wish for bigger/more coffee but there’s a lovely cafe a short walk away which we got our caffeine fix at. The beach is a bit dirty and not very safe for swimming but it is a popular surfing spot and there are protected areas for cliff exploring or to try wading in."

"The farm tour is the highlight of our stay at Toucheng Leisure Farm.
For Muslim travellers on free & easy tour, you will need to email them in advance of your request for halal food.
Beautiful landscape and my children enjoyed the DIY Lantern experience. Tina, the owner spoke good English and she's very friendly. Her dog, named Golden, is very smart and guided us around the area where we stayed. Go for the creek where you can dip your feet into the clean river water that cones from the mountain.
Despite its humbled 2-star rating, I would give it a 5-star rating for its cleanliness, service, food and friendly staff. My children enjoyed feeding the fish and ducks in the pond. Fish food is readily sold at $10TWD. There are traditional games such as chapteh and walking sticks and toy equipment to make bubbles that are readily available for anyone to play. My 8-year old is always kept occupied with all the games and toys. Will definitely come back for more experience at the farm. "

"Exceptional homestay/hostel with a human touch that you'll rarely find in a typical hostel. This place is newly renovated, rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, and the living room has a relaxing atmosphere for people to gather and chill. The host and staff treated travelers like friends and shared useful tips on interesting things to do nearby. Dali is a little known area but this is a great place for diving and water activities. There's also a historical hike trail up the mountains with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean coastline. Definitely my first choice of stay when visiting the Yilan district!!"

Hotel Local is not near the crowed area, but in Yilan area most of traveler will take Taxi as they don't have many train station in Yilan. Hotel room is super big , big bathtub, but the toilet area is glass wall, if you travel with Friends then will be embarrassed .
