Some might find the room a tad small, but 'twas good enough for us. Service was good, too, and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the nearby areas. There was a 7-11, restos, and a supermarket at the adjoining mall. There was also a free shuttle bus every 15 minutes or so to the Novena MRT station with its adjoining malls. The hotel itself is located in an area with a lot of historical sites and significance. Overall, a very nice experience. Definitely recommended. I'd even stay in this hotel next time I'm in Singapore.

Highly recommended. Professional front desk. Answered my emails promptly. Good location. Mini mall attached, with lots of eateries (recommend Crystal Jade and Toast Box) and NTUC supermarket. Good for morning walks too. Hotel is appx. 1 km (uphill) from Novena MRT station/ Novena Square mall, so shuttle bus is a big help (usually every 30 mins., except for lunchtime when its a 90 min gap). Good location, only 1 MRT stop from Scotts/Orchard Road area. Rooms are on the small side, but for the price, I have paid a lot worse in worse off locations. Hotel Royal offers value for money compared to similar four-star hotels. Although one of the oldest hotels in Singapore, Hotel Royal offers a family room that is spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable to sleep on. The bus station is right in front of the hotel. The hotel is also close to the Novena MRT station where accessibility is a must for faster and convenient travel to Singapore's tourist sites. There are many neighboring restaurants and eateries to choose from. Location at Newton St. is quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff are accommodating and friendly.

I went to Singapore the other day for a weekend escape with my mom. We planned to try something different by staying away from the hectic Orchard Road to somewhere we never knew before. I checked in internet and found this new hotel, I read the review and was interested because the rates are friendly for our pocket. This Hotel was super clean, the receptionist staff proceeded our booking so fast. In front of the hotel, there were an ATM machine, 24hrs convenience store, and most importantly, a bus stop, just took around 10 minutes to hop into #124 bus heading to orchard road. If u want to take the MRT, hop into the same bus heading to newton or novena station, took about 5minutes to go there by bus. if u want to walk from hotel to novena MRT station, it took approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Other thing that u might consider is the size of the shower room. Unfortunately, the shower room was small, convenience for taking shower but all things will get wet when u shower (like the sink, the closet-no curtain). Also, we could hear other room's noises when we were in our own room. However, my mom and I enjoyed our stay in Value Hotel Balestier :) will come back for our next short weekend getaway because this hotel is value for money and super clean. Really valuable just like its name :)

I recently stayed 7 nights at this hotel and I am quite satisfied with my experience. The hotel is located within walking distance to several shopping malls, food courts, restaurants, Starbucks, local bus service and the Novena MRT station. Low cost internet cafes are across the street and open most of the day and night. The hotel lobby and service desk was always adequately staffed no matter what the hour with friendly, helpful employees who were courteous and made me feel welcome. The hotel grounds were always kept clean, and I enjoyed using the pool conveniently located on the seventh floor. My room was always adequately cleaned daily and re-stocked with complimentary water and other amenities. The floor I stayed on was quiet the majority of the time, especially at night and the bed quite comfortable. The rooms are smaller but for the price the best bargain in Singapore. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others looking for clean, quiet accomodations with great service at a reasonable price. Value Thomson indeed provided me value for the money.

It was a great experience staying in Ibis Novena hotel. It is just some minute walking to Novena MRT station and we (my mother, myself and a group of children and nephew from 7-11 years old) found it so convenient. The staff are friendly and helpful. As I will have to come back to Singapore for many times in near future, I had decided to stay at this hotel for all coming visits. However, I felt something untransperent with the taxi cost to Changi airport. That morning, I asked the front desk officer about the taxi and remember she told me it would be 20 something SGD or 30 something SGD for a big cab (we have 6 persons) from hotel to Changi airport. I had checked with her because I thought it would be more. She said "No, it's only 25 minutes from hear to airport". Then, the taxi driver said it was 55 SGD :( I was too rush and did not want to miss the flight so I đi not to double check with hotel.

I went on this short trip to singapore with just my 5 years old daughter, so i didn't look for a large room, or great view. All i wanted was a clean hotel which close to transport, and has nice pool. And in that respect, Oasia really delivered them all, fantastically. Everyone was friendly. The doorman greeted my daughter warmly, and sent our luggage efficiently to our room. No long waiting for anything. Room size was decent for two people, although might feel a bit crowded for family of four. We stayed at the superior. Wifi was fast, and everything in the room was spotless. One drawback was the lighting in bathroom. Since the was only a glass panel separating bed and bathroom, once you turn on the bathroom light, the whole room will be very bright. Its pretty hard to take a shower without disturbing the sleeping child :) Room service was average, nothing too special. Breakfast buffet was lovely enough. They had the best watermelons hahah. Location wise, it can't be better. Connected to the Novena MRT station, it was extra convenient. It was raining on our first morning, but since we didn't have to go outside to go to station, we stayed dry during the whole trip. Hassle free. It was connected to some hospital too, so if you intend to do some doctor visit, this will also be theperfect hotel to stay in. The swimming pool was great! I had a great time in the jacuzzi. They have one jacuzzi, one big pool and a small child pool. Nobody else used the pool when we did, so it was great, we had the pool to ourselves. Very clean, too. So yeah, this is one hotel i will come back to in the future. Thanks for the lovely stay.

The stay at fragrance hotel was a last minute decision. It was booked the night before the stay. Was expecting some hiccups due to last minute booking but surprisingly there was none. The room was clean and the aircon is cold. Wifi has good strength as well. Cheers is located just right outside the hotel which creates some convenience for midnight snack craving. Overall it is a good stay for the price. The receptionist is very friendly. One con would be the location. For non drivers, one would have to switch bus from newton or novena mrt. If this is not a problem for you, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

We've been in Singapore several times, most of the time we stayed in Bugis, Little India, or East Coast. We hesitated to stay here at first, seeing as we're not familiar with Balestier and Novena district. We're glad we stayed though. Right next to the hotel is the bus stop, where you can easily transfer to Novena MRT Station. In the vicinity of this hotel there are Balestier Market (houses lots of delicious hawker food), Rochor Beancurd House (open till 1 a.m.), Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice (open almost 24 hours), McD (open till 1 a.m.), and 7-Eleven. The only thing you should worry about is choosing what you'd like to eat now. Receptionists are very nice and polite, they helped us check in earlier and provided mask (there was smoke haze due to forest fires). The amenities are impressive for a 2-star hotel, such as coffee and premium tea, electric kettles, shower cap, and hair dryer. Housekeepers are nice and polite, too. We always find our room in perfect condition. The bathroom can be improved though, there was a small black mold spot on the inside of the bathroom door frame. All in all, it's well worth the price of the stay. We'll definitely stay here again.

Feel nice and comfortable when stay in this hotel, hotel facilities eg. Swimming pool, gim room summore spa room also can be found here. Without any bad smell in room, good service of reception. Even I want to keep my luggage in hotel after check up, they also can provide the service. Good location, can easy to get the taxi or bus to nearby MRT station (only 3km to Novena Square) Taxi fees is around SGD3.80 Moreover, breakfast buffet also taste nice. Conclusion is I will stay at this hotel again and introduce to my friends.

The hotel is value for money. The location is excellent. Just behind the hotel is the famous Whampoa food market with very affordable prices. The complimentary WiFi in the room is very fast. The staff are approachable and very accomodating especially Edlyn and Jecel(?) who helped as with our luggage's when we left for the airport. They even arranged a room for us facing the Balestier Point, the best view the neighborhood has to offer. The room is always clean and made up every day. Water and bathroom supplies are replenished daily. Shuttle to Novena MRT station every morning is very helpful especially for a group just like ours. This hotel is very much recommended. It was our first time staying at Courtyard, understand it is rather new hotel. But the disappointment is the remote controller battery is down, it took almost 30mins for the repairman to change it. The location is good as it is just beside Novena MRT station, there are quite a handful of cafes and restaurants. Quite enjoyed the Urbana Roof Top Bar and the gym. You can take a swim as well as the pool is at 33rd floor. Overall, it’s a good place to have a staycation.

Hotel is located few minutes walk from novena MRT as well there is direct bus from the hotel to Chinatown. Check in time is by 3.00 pm, no early check in available. Bigger room space with standard room facilities, such as mini refrigerator, TV, coffee mixer, hot kettle, iron board, clothes cabinet, bath tab with heater . hair dryers, tooth items. Mineral water bottle is not provided in house, you may need to walk in along the corridor near the lift where there s a water dispenser situated. Bring the kettle to fill water. Overall is good and satisfactory.
