We stayed at this stunning hotel for just 2 nights and wished it could have been longer! The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of old quarter Hanoi. There is so much to see and do and smell and discover around this area and we found we were walking distance to pretty much everything in old quarter. The professionalism of the staff was out of this world....my husband and I felt truly spoilt in the short stay we experienced there. The Red Bean restaurant is just amazing and such awesome value for money - the food is spectacular and the staff just make the whole experience absolutely wonderful. We also enjoyed a few drinks in the basement bar and the atmosphere was awesome. We cannot praise this hotel enough. Thankyou all to the amazing crew at La Siesta!

Our stay at Spring Flower Hotel was comfortable and completely transformative from the chaotic old quarter Hanoi streets right on the other side of the entrance doors. Located in old quarter, it is very walkable but is surrounded by a lot of hustle and bustle. The hotel itself was clean, quaint and quiet. The included breakfast service was a delight. The highlight of our stay was the staff as they were so polite and accommodating. Specifically, the front desk receptionist - June, she is incredibly helpful. She is very knowledgeable of the area with the best recommendations for eateries. They also helped with booking tours and reservations. The staff is very personable and we appreciated their exceptional hospitality. We couldn't have asked for more, we would visit again!

There are a few La Siesta Hotels in Hanoi, we stayed at La Siesta on Ma May street for 3 nights in a Deluxe Double Room. The service started from the minute we were met at the airport and driven to the hotel in the EHG Airport Transfer. The staffs attentiveness and eagerness to ensure you are well informed and taken care of is felt the moment you enter the hotel, from the warm welcome, the arrival drink, fresh fruit and cold face cloth. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable (some have bath/shower combo so make sure your request if you want shower only). The buffet breakfast was delicious (the best one on our whole holiday). Everything is made fresh daily with a mixture of westernised and Vietnamese foods.. Hotel is in the perfect location in the Old Quarter. Close enough to walk to restaurants, bars etc (1 - 2 blocks), but far enough that you don't have noisy clubs outside to keep you awake.. Great Location. Great Price. 5 Star Service. 5 Star Hotel. Perfect in every way.

Great value for money ... boutique hotel in old quarter near all action. “ Lily adds value to the hotel having fluent English and a wealth of information.” Hiring a free university walking guide on line to guide you through the old and French quarters is well worth it.. We did it on two separate mornings and they really enjoy the experience and tip... Few pitfalls Breakfast area with no separate bar so enjoying a glass of wine at night in same area not exciting.. Caution when booking room as some are much smaller and face a brick wall... strongly suggest doing three day hike through Sapa villages which is a five and half hour busride

We were a couple that stayed at the luxurious Terrace Suite. The room was spacious with a corner balcony overlooking a beautiful corner in the Old Quarter. The location is excellent with many of the local favourited restaurants very close by. It was just a block from the overly busy bia intersection and closer to the local markets incl Dong Xuan. We stayed there on a Saturday night and there was minimal noise from the street/traffic as in previous airbnbs/hotels we have stayed at in the old quarter. The bed was very comfortable and the steam room/bath was perfect. Staff were very courteous and very friendly at all times. We had breakfast at the beautiful rooftop restaurant and all the staff were very accommodating and made sure the finer details were taken care of. We noticed that there are no taller buildings nearby so the rooftop views allowed it to feel very open without any buildings to overshadow. We also had massages organised on the spot. I would definitely stay again.

Found this hotel on Agoda. Looking for something in Old Quarter within a price range. Saw this new hotel that had a few 5 star ratings. Emails back and forth were prompt after booking regarding airport transfer. We were greeted warmly by the staff upon arrival. We were a few hours early and did not request early check in. They accommodated us very well, which was appreciated after traveling from the US. They explained that they were a newer hotel and would love feedback on which to improve. They also warned us that is gets noisy at night with a balcony room. There’s a club across the street so between 10:30pm and 2am you can hear the music and DJ. Breakfast was a treat. We were served traditional Vietnamese food (noodle soup, & stir fried noodles) as well as western food (omelets, bacon, hotdogs) fruit and Vietnamese coffee. Was well prepared!! We liked this place so much we canceled another reservation and booked another night after our cruise in Halong Bay. Would recommend!!

Great little hotel in the Old Quarter. Hotel and rooms are clean and its situated in a great location within walking distance to the lake, eateries and sites. Service was excellent. By far the best service we have experienced during our 2 week travels of Vietnam. Breakfast is basic but adequate. Bed is comfortable and shower has good water pressure and hot water works well! AC and wifi both work well as well. No room service however plenty of places nearby to eat. It's not a 5 star property but its clean and comfortable and the service exceeds 5 stars. Great hotel for the price

I really enjoyed my time in Tirant Hotel. I have spent 5 nights with several check ins and check outs because I was travelling to other places too but Hanoi and Tirant hotel were my base. The hotel is perfectly located in the old quarter of Hanoi. The staff was great, very helpful, they did not miss anything and helped me to organize tours for halong bay and other locations and several pick ups from the airport and drop off. One day I had a very early check out because I had a flight at 7am so I left from the hotel at 5am and they gave me a breakfast box, I really appreciated it, considering the normal breakfast service starts at 6.30 am. The room are spacious and clean, very comfortable bed and good shower. Maybe the only cons is that not every room has a window, but that is due to the construction habits in Hanoi (especially in the old quarter) but was not a problem considering that I was not there to spend my time in my room but just to have a clean and comfortable room where to sleep and get a shower and relax between one tour and the next. I have nothing to complain

It was one of the most pleasant stay with the friendly staff always making sure all your needs are quickly taken care of. They will help out in everything you need such as air port transfer, tour arrangement and advise on shopping and eating. Really hard working staff committed to making sure you had a pleasant stay.The strategic location of the hotel right in the most popular section of the old quarters means just a few steps into the midst of joy and the best entertainments the old quarters offers.

This was by far the best hotel we've stayed in to date. We arrived for our stay in Hanoi exhausted after 18 hours of flight. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. The location was perfect, just 2 mins away from the Hoan Kiem Lake. We could walk around the Old Quarter to discover lots of attractive destination without getting a taxi. This could save us a lot of money already. The breakfasts were very good and varied. Room was clean and quite spacious. The hotel just finished installing the gym, the spa and the swimming pool on the Top Floor. The best thing about May De Ville Old Quarter Hotel was the staffs. They were accommodating and helpful to us throughout our stay from giving directions, booking tours to Sapa & Ha Long Bay, Hoi An and Mekong Delta. Keep up the good work May De Ville Old Quarter. My family will definitely come back next year! Highly recommended!!!!

- Graceful Hotel allocate at old quarter where you can reach the tourist spot (Hoan Kiem Lake, night market,beer street), convenience store, restaurant by walking distances. The Hotel is new, safe and they did serve quality breakfast. - The hotel staff is excellent , very friendly, warm and helpful, they did prepare the breakfast for us after know that we will departure in the early morning. The Hotel can help you make booking for the taxi with reasonable price (we did compare with grabs apps). - The hotel staff name Ha, also into some delicious food within the walking distance to us where all of this Vietnamese food are super delicious and famous in old quarter area. (The Famous beef noodle - Pho Bat Dan, The famous Bun Cha - bun cha dac kim) - I highly recommend this hotel if you plan to stay at old quarter district

You can't go wrong with this place. If you are looking for a similar budget hotel in Old Quarter, don't think twice, this is your place. I've been in several hotels with same budget but this one so far the best choice, spacious room (normally room in Old Quarter is always tiny), nice and clean, and especially the service that I was really impressed upon arrival. Receptionist gave all information and guide for our stay in Hanoi which no one in any previous hotels would offered unless I asked, a lot more which I can't say enough. highly recommend!!

Stayed at 2 different hotels in Old Quarter and Hanoi Era was everything we wanted. It's a new hotel with AMAZING STAFF mostly graduates and uni students; they speak good English. GREAT location. Just GREAT. It's really close to the lake, water puppet theatre, night market and night life. Very good breakfast. Don't under estimate their small dining area. There's buffet;salad, fried noodles, fruits, spring rolls, yoghurt etc plus ala carte you can order from the menu-freshly cooked-and delicious! If your flight is early, they will pack your breakfast too so you can eat at the airport. King size bed is huge n very comfortable. Booked taxi to airport and it was clean and spacious, good driver. They give a list of restaurants which you can visit and a map , very handy. Our special thanks to Ms Jasmine and Liam and all Hanoi Era staff. They are so helpful, friendly but courteous with a bit of humor. This place is truly a gem in Hanoi. Definitely will come back!

I stayed at this hotel in October 2017 whilst travelling around South East Asia. I had originally booked for 3 nights but booked an extra two nights. I admit as the taxi as driving us up to the hotel I wondered what had let myself in for. The hotel is in a very buzzy part of Hanoi near the old quarter. This hotel almost felt out of place in the location as the surrounding buildings were not of the same standard. However, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The rooms and facilities are kept to a very high standard and are extremely clean! Great breakfast options. All the staff are extremely warm and friendly - they even remember all the guests names! I felt the staff really went out of their way to look after me as I was travelling alone. I was made to feel very welcome and that is what made my stay in Hanoi so memorable. I especially would like to send a special thank Cyndia for all of her help in ensuring my stay was as comfortable as possible and for also arranging the rest of my trip in Vietnam. Cyndia is an asset to the hotel. Thank you very much Cyndia! Absolutely loved my stay at the Serene Boutique Hotel <3 I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again. I would say it's a good choice for budget traveller as the bus stop to NoiBai Airport is juz around the corner (2 minutes walking distance). Room facilities are superb, juz having a slightly complicated TV control system (compared to the rest of my Hanoi Exp). Walking distance to the Hottest Area in Old Quarter (but not in the middle of it - as it will be too messy). The Hotel is relatively new, highly recommended. Prolly the best quality Breakfast ever had during my Stay in Vietnam. Truly a 4 Star Restaurant.

The staff here are really friendly and the whole hotel feels like an extremely homely environment once you step in. They never fail to greet you with a smile, ask how’s your day, if you need any help or where you are keen on exploring. Really no regrets choosing this hotel out of the many hotels in old quarter and recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a simple stay as they don’t have amenities like gym, Swimming pool etc. Most amazing part was when we were gonna check out and booked vehicle through them, all the staffs in the lobby came out and wished us safe travels and bidded is goodbye! Really like a big family :) we took a selfie too but not suitable to post on a public platform hahaha but really recommend!!!!

If I could give the staff and spa 6 stars I would. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel, nicely located in old quarter. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great roof top restaurant/bar that over looks nearby lake and old quarter. The spa is the best I’ve found in all Hanoi even compared to other 5 star hotels I stayed in. Most valuable are the staff. They helped me enjoy my stay in Hanoi the days I stayed at the hotel and even days I stayed at other hotels. They were polite, responsive and very helpful!

We had a wonderful stay on 8th April 2018 at Luxury Old Quarter hotel. I felt so blessed to choose this hotel because the street outside this hotel focus on sales of sewing materials. It was a good time to replenish my sewing stuffs like lockstitch machine’s threads, zips and buttons. For fabrics and only can go to Dong Xuan market. It is within walking distance from hotel. The night market situated just behind this hotel. This hotel extended great hospitality. They noted my passport details of my birthday and gave me a nice advance birthday cake. It was so unexpected and a lovely 😊 thought from them. So thank you. For those into sewing hobby, I will truly recommend Luxury Old Quarter hotel. The deco of room is so beautiful as per their description. If you intend to stay at Old Quarter area, you never go wrong to book this hotel. Enjoy your holiday!!

Me and my partner ended up staying at New Vision hotel in Hanoi old quarter as we didn’t like the hotel we actually planned to stay in so we book this place last minute! Upon arrive the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, giving us a seat and fruit and a drink whilst they gave us a map of Hanoi and recommendations of where to go! We wanted to do a trip to ha long bay so Justin who welcomed us and works on reception showed us a few options we could choose from (2day, 1 night & 3 day, 2 night) we already had a day trip planned but we changed our minds to do the 2 day one night tour he kindly rang the company we booked the day tour with and cancelled our booking for us. They were so helpful with anything that we needed, organising a car to the airport, good places to eat and making sure we enjoyed our stay! I would definitely return to this hotel if I return to Hanoi as it is in a great location in hanoi’s Old quarter it was lovely and clean and the staff were fantastic! Definitely reccomend!!!

Excellent location, very clean rooms, good WiFi, outstanding breakfast and laundry service, a super friendly, thoughtful and helpful staff. Overall it exceeded our expectations and made our time in Hanoi memorable. Highly recommended this hotel. We spent 5 days in Hanoi in mid December and initially booked just two nights at La Storia Ruby but quickly decided to extend our stay for the remaining days because it was such a good experience. If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the old quarter of Hanoi, the location is perfect - it’s around the corner from some of the signature restaurants, street vendors and hidden coffee shops, yet it’s tucked away on a quiet side street away from traffic. The staff was top notch. Extremely thoughtful and friendly. They arranged a private shuttle from the airport ($20 US), exchanged currency at the front desk, and offered laundry service, which was cheap and returned to our room the same day. The room was cozy, clean and well-kept. Surprisingly comfortable bed and clean modern bathroom with a great rain shower. Every morning we also enjoyed a complimentary buffet and to-order hot breakfast that exceeded our expectations. The Mango pancakes were awesome! If you’re looking for a nice boutique style hotel close to the action in old quarter, this is the place to stay. It made our first visit to Hanoi a great experience.

We were greeted with warm welcome & lemon drink. Rooms were as described and very comfortable. We asked for 2 rooms close together and were provided with this. Breakfast very good - plenty of choice of hot and cold food. Had a problem with domestic flight times changing - reception staff sorted everything out for us. Had first night in Hanoi in this hotel. Then went on Halong Bay cruise for 1 night. Hotel looked after our suitcases for us. Had third night in Vietnam at this hotel before travelling country. Looking forwards to our last night at Paradise before flight home. Also, staff recommended a brilliant (and very cheap) street restaurant. Coming back soon and would recommend to anyone staying Hanoi that wants to be in old quarter.

The staff are so welcoming especially Steve. He made sure that we are well taken care of. He even came to other hotel where we had our spa treatment to bid us goodbye. Breakfast was included in our booking but to my surprise they charge for latte... You can get unlimited brewed coffee with milk though. Couldn't say anything about the location because it's close to some key places in Hanoi. I'm just not used to hotel located in the middle of busy market. Tip: make sure to book airport transfer as the hotel is 30-40 mins from the airport and to make sure also that you arrive at the right hotel as there are more than 1 Essence Hotel in Old Quarter.

Hotel service was amazing from beginning to end. It is in the perfect location in Old Quarter. We were offered a snack and fresh fruit juice upon arrival as well as "tourist" instructions on how to cross the street in Hanoi,I noticed that they make it a point to learn all of their guests' names which makes it more personal. The breakfast is a good combination of both Vietnamese and a Western breakfast. Our room was fairly large compared to the other hotel in Old Quarter that we stayed in. We only stayed one night before our early morning excursion to Ha Long Bay. At checkout, they sent us with snacks and water for the road as well as a small parting gift to our surprise. I would recommend this hotel to anyone without any hesitations and the service is the best service that we received in Hanoi.

This hotel exceeded my expectations and made my stay very pleasant! The hotel's location is centralised, within walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake, beer crossing, shopping streets and night market, and several attractions in Old Quarter. Upon arrival we were given juices while we waited for reservation to be processed. The staff were very polite and eager to serve. Before we were brought to our room the staff first gave us a map of the old quarter and gave an informative explanation on the attractions available to us within the quarter. The hotel room was clean, the sheets and pillow cases fresh and comfortable, the toilet was well-lit and modern-looking. The wifi in the room was stable and decent, and the TV had a wide selection of local and international (French, Japanese, Korean) cable channels. The staff was eager to assist us in our travel queries and made recommendations. At the end of the day they would ask us where we visited and how was our day. Overall, very warm service! 10/10 would recommend and stay again.

I stayed at the Marvel for 3 nights with my girlfriend this June on our way through North Vietnam. The hotel is very nice, one of the best if not the best in the old quarter of Hanoi in my opinion. The room was kept very clean and everything was in working order. It’s in a great position to be able to walk to most of the places you would want to see in the old quarter. I must say I cannot fault the staff there, they were all fantastic. It’s also worth visiting the spa they have on the lower level. It’s very reasonably priced for the level of treatment you get. Like most hotels in the Old Quarters, the hotel was small but charming. Its location was a mere 5-10 minute walk to the markets and restaurants, and 15 minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff were very nice and helpful, worthy of a 5 star rating in service. Breakfast was simple and had variety. All facilities were clean, modern, and brand new. Only downside would be the low strength of their wifi signal which i think is common in Hanoi.

This was the 1st trip to Vietnam for my wife and I visiting our adult son who teaches English in Hanoi. We chose Damsels based upon it's location in Old Quarter, the price range we wanted to spend, and +9 reviews. We made a fantastic choice! I would give 5 Stars to every aspect of this hotel. But most important was the service we received from Mary and her staff. She helped arrange everything from our trip to Halong Bay, airport driver, and SaPa tour. Even after we left the hotel to travel south, she kept in touch to assure we were doing well. This is definitely where I will stay every time I visit Hanoi! Jim M

Our flight from the Philippines got delayed so we arrived around 2:30 am at the hotel. Good thing we availed the hotel's airport pick up service so we didn't have a hard time coming to the location. When we arrived, the staff immediately greeted us with excitement even though it's a little bit late. He (I forgot to take his name) even gave as welcome drinks and cold towel. He also accompanied us to our hotel room to explain some things about the safety deposit box and the complimentary drinks and snacks. Although tired, we slept comfortably and peacefully that night. Here is my detailed comment about the hotel's facilities and services LOCATION - very good. It is located at the center of Hanoi Old Quarter. The Hon Kiem Lake, French Opera, Cathedral and other tourist attraction are nearby and can be explored by foot. There are also a lot of small grocery stores and eateries near the hotel. ROOM- clean, well maintained, complete with necessities. My friend and I booked a twin room. We were happy with the room they gave us. They even provided us with iron and hair dryer. Worth the price. BREAKFAST- our room came with free breakfast. There are a lot of choices. Taste is not exceptional but good. Enough to fuel us up for a long day of walking :) SERVICE - Excellent. The staff and the managers are all accommodating. They can speak good english too so we didn't have a hard time communicating our needs. They even helped us find the best experience and food to try for our stay in Hanoi. Overall, we were very satisfied and happy with our stay in Holiday Emerald. We will definitely be back! :)
