"The Dorsett is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Not only is it in a fantastic location, the staff are extremely attentive and helpful as well, and everything down to the room and bathroom sizes and amenities are excellent by Singapore standards. The hotel is at one end of Chinatown and almost on top of the Outram Park MRT stations, which also happens to be a direct line to the airport. In fact one of the MRT exits are in the building adjacent to the hotel. Places of interest for shopping, entertainment and eating out such as Chinatown, Sentosa, Clarke Quay and Little India are either within walking distance or 2-3 stops away by MRT. Our room was also quite spacious and the bathroom was clean and even had a rainfall shower. The hotel also replenished toiletries every day, and the toiletries were of very good quality. There was free wi-fi inside the room, a coffee maker, work desk and a large LCD TV along with numerous international power sockets. However, our best experience was the service - check-in was a breeze and the lady behind the counter even gave us complimentary early check in without our having to ask. (Usual check-in time is 2 pm but we had reached at 12 noon). She also chatted with us and made us feel at home. We faced an issue when the bathroom light switch suddenly stopped working, but it was fixed within 5 minutes of our informing housekeeping. I have been to many hotels worldwide, but I will always remember my stay in Dorsett as they did not take their amazing location for granted but also added to it with excellent facilities and service with a smile."

"It was a considerate new hotel. From the MRT station to the hotel you will pass a lot of food stalls and kiosks that sells Chinese ornaments and souvenirs. Neighborhood was not so clean compared to the Orchard area. But food prices were cheaper. Good selection of foods at Chinatown Point Mall (Song Fa Bakuteh, Din Dai Fung, A-One Claypot House) which is just across the street. One stop away from Outram Park MRT station if you go to Singapore General Hospital it will be very convenient. Hotel room cleaned and towels were changed every day. Complimentary mineral water for two. But the glasses and cups were not changed during my 4 nights stay there. The hair dryer was smell burned so I didn't use it. I stayed at executive room so it was not to small (17 m). "

"I like this hotel. This is my first time solo travelling experience in Singapore. 1) Receptionist is very helpful and kind. They send you the room and facilities once you check in. 2) Room - Mattress and comforter is really comfortable. Got personal lamp on each bed. Got private curtain for lower bed. Got locker but have to use your own padlock for safety. Lights out 12pm-8am. Got aircond and fan. 3) Facilities - Toilet suprisingly clean, got hairdryer, washing machine (pay 6$), free breakfast - bread and cereal. I drink hot choco and milk. 4) Location - Chinatown and near to MRT station. I went to Bayfront at 11pm and go back to hotel by last train at 12.04pm. Seriously you just cross the road to the MRT station and bus stop also you just walk for 5 steps from front door. What elsw are you wishing for? So convenient. Got 7-11 nearby. Hence, it is very good! I will definitely come again if i will come to Singapore someday"

"This is one of the best 4-star hotels that is very much like a 5-star hotel. The lobby is just super nice and grand. Excellent first impression. Staff at check-in desk was friendly and attended to our request to have a room on a higher floor and away from the lift seriously. We were very satisfied with our room. The room was big, clean and comfortable. Air-conditioner was working perfectly fine. It has everything we could ever ask for in a hotel. Location is great. About 5-10 minutes walk to Tanjong Pagar MRT station, depending on how fast do you walk. There are quite a lot of different types of restaurants, eateries and hawker centres around. Fair Price supermarket is just across the street. Things which could be better: The staff who helps hotel guests to get taxi could be more proactive and friendlier. If the hotel room could also provide amenity pack with cotton bud and cotton pads, that would be great. The bed and pillows are too soft for me. "

"Just experienced the newly opened Capri by Fraser China Square, which is located in between the CBD and Chinatown. Location is the key for this hotel as there are a number of MRT stations within walking distance. And being located in both CBD and Chinatown, there are a lot of eateries around the hotel. As a Singaporean, the hotel was built on a small plot of space which used to be a water fountain and I initially didn't expect the rooms to be too big. But after checking into my room, I was impressed to find the room was pretty spacious. And I guess being a Capri brand, all the rooms come with a microwave and a small kitchenette, which makes long stay a perk or for those who prefers to dine in, as plates, utensils are all provided in the room, even in the basic Superior room, which I'd stayed in. Touted as a high tech hotel, there are a lot of amenities that suits the well travelled or the younger generation. Appreciates the number of international power plugs, and the more that usual "
