We chose to stay at Sierra Square Hotel again because of the location and value for money. The stay was once again great, rooms were comfortable and nice and clean except for the smell of cigarette smoke in a non smoking room. We opted for breakfast this time, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. We opted for breakfast this time, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The options were not great and some of the food tasted like it had been prepared the day before. We will stay again, just will not be ordering breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at Clico enormously.. The hotel is small and intimate and you feel part of a large family staying there. Nothing was too much for the staff. Peggy at reception seemed to be always there to answer any enquiries and organised a day for us with driver Dan who picked us up from the hotel and dropped us back. He was our personal guide for the day, taking us to Constitution Hill. Apartheid museum , the top of the Carlton buildings with a view over the whole of Jo'burg and on to Soweto where we visited Mandela's house and the Hector Pierson museum. We felt safe in his hands. It was great to get back to the hotel and enjoy a really good meal of fine dining quality with Sibusiso ("Moyo"?) always on hand to give his advice about wine with passion and enthusiasm. A good sleep with comfortable beds then up and starting the day with a very good breakfast- eggs benedict particularly good . Discussions with the chef and Sean the manager also. Highly recommended.

Upon our check out my husband was made to feel like he was a corn man,just because he was taking our staff to the car while I was in our room,he was asked 21 questions,the manner which he came at my husband was that of him sneaking out.I had already booked and paid for 2 rooms we had no intentions of just leaving without checking out .Furthermore when I had initially ...Upon our check out my husband was made to feel like he was a corn man,just because he was taking our staff to the car while I was in our room,he was asked 21 questions,the manner which he came at my husband was that of him sneaking out.I had already booked and paid for 2 rooms we had no intentions of just leaving without checking out .Furthermore when I had initially booked my one booking i did it online and when I checked in I was not told that there was an additional tourism levy i had to pay,I did not like this mans attitude when he told me I had to pay this with no explanation or appologies for any inconviniences about the fact that this had not been communicated to me.I had to ask him to give me my receipt or else ge wouldint had given me and furthermore he claimed to have given me my change when in fact he hadnt.I just told him to keep it .I dont now his name but it was a black man and we checked out at 6am on the 26th of October.He needs a hospitality training course.

The Grace is a warm and cost boutique hotel in a great location - we have stayed here many times and always enjoyed it. They have nice extra touches, like complimentary scones and jam in the lobby lounge every afternoon, and complimentary canapes every evening. The hotel restaurant is one of the best in Johannesburg. Next to Hotel is a shopping mall, you can shop, have lunch/dinner, have drink, even watching movie here. I would highly recommend people to stay here, especially you come to here for business trip.

If you have ever been to Greece before the theme in this hotel will remind you of it. I found the place as well as the staff very welcoming. Even though I had messed up my booking Elna who works in reservations graciously assisted me in restoring my original booking with all my requests. The Westcliff is situated in a good part of Johannesburg and just a short walk from the zoo. The staff at Reception were unbelievably helpful in day-to-day issues, in arranging visits and helping get tickets for shows etc. As Johannesburg is a very large city it was really helpful that the hotel organize a free shuttle service (there and return) to various Malls and ve...The Westcliff is situated in a good part of Johannesburg and just a short walk from the zoo. The staff at Reception were unbelievably helpful in day-to-day issues, in arranging visits and helping get tickets for shows etc. As Johannesburg is a very large city it was really helpful that the hotel organize a free shuttle service (there and return) to various Malls and venues close to the hotel. The standard of bedrooms is wonderful with each room having a "Tardiss-like" pod at the end of the bed which turned out to be a hidden TV which emerged on pressing a bedside switch! We had two separate stays in different parts of the hotel grounds - both excellent. The only criticism we had was that the breakfast costs were not included and were quite pricey on top of a fairly expensive room rate. The access to free internet in the Business Centre was good.
