"The hotel is in a great location, it's very clean and the staff are so friendly. The rooms are a good size. The reason why not 5 star is for a few reasons. 1) the hotel is on a main road and all night long the bikes and cars and beeping their horns and you can hear it. I would advise a room without a window, it's cheaper and easier to sleep In. 2) The maids are very friendly but they start work at 7.30am and talk very loud outside and it work us up everyday, such a shame, and 3) The breakfast is basic but could be so much better. Every day they have a different selection but if you go for breakfast at say 9am some things have run out. Best to go early. Also they had croissants one day but cut them up into tiny bits so may 1 croissant was cut into 5 or 6 bits, same for donuts. Why not put out as a whole? You have to order fried egg, but it comes out still a bit raw so not able to eat, tried everyday but always the same. You can order Vietnnese noodles but after 9am you might get half a bowl as they have run out. There is bread and a toaster but the toaster is half broken with 4 slots but only 2 work and 1 of them only works on one side. Please buy a new toaster. The breakfast could be so much better with just a few changes. These are the reasons why i didn't give it 5 stars. But the staff are great and the rooms are large and clean and the beds are very good. Not sure if I'd stay there again. "

"I initially booked a different hotel in Ho chi minh but then after learning that the said hotel was far from the center of the city, I immediately cancelled that booking and booked Duxton Hotel instead. Oh and am I glad I did! My husband and I stayed at Duxton Hotel for 5 nights. The whole stay was perfect. The breakfast buffet spread was really good and since we booked an executive room, we had access to the club lounge which offered free snacks and drinks at certain times of the day. The hotel is also centrally located in District 1. We barely hailed a cab since most of the shops and tourist sites are within walking distance. Checking in and out of this hotel was a breeze and they even stored our luggages for us for hours after we had checked out. All in all, we were completely satisfied. "

"We booked a premium room initially for us and our 2 children (9 and 13), thinking it had 2 beds. We arrived late on a Friday evening and immediately realised the super king bed would not suit us all for 3 nights, therefore asked reception for options. They were very accommodating, and we were upgraded to a suite for a minimal charge. The room was lovely and spacious, on the same level as the rooftop bar, breakfast and near the pool. We loved it. Location is unbeatable - overlooking the People’s Committee Building and pedestrian road, we could walk to everything easily. Great spot, loved our stay!"

"This hotel just overwrite my “best hotel in HCM” list. Definitely my best one now. It’s not the fancy or luxury hotel if you are looking for the 5 stars hotel. But it’s a great value. Room is clean, I booked the room with bath tub and the shower system is separated, so one of us took shower and the other enjoyed the hot tub at the same time. Hot water is always supplied, it’s very rare in HCM’ shoreline. Staff are lovely, breakfast is great. Swimming pool and gym are a bit tiny, but not many people came for these so it’s totally fine for us. We had a great morning gym&swim here. Would love to book this hotel again definitely."

"It was our first time to Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh and I had looked through so many hotel options, finally settling for A&EM Corner Saigon Hotel. After booking a room, I had contacted the hotel with some enquiries. My call was picked up by Nene, who then took it upon herself to ensure my stay was memorable, which she did very very very well. She helped ensure i had a good tour booked, she helped make sure to explain to me in detail directions around the hotel. She even what's apped me in the days coming up to my trip to ensure a proper pick up was done for me from the airport etc. and she checked up on us throughout our stay and she was simply wonderful. All the other staff and doormen etc were also very welcoming and courteous. Always willing to help. The doorman even helped me to go out and buy a padlock for my luggage on my last day there. Wonderful staff seriously. The hotel was quaint and pretty. Room is not that big, but the room deco and cosiness made up for the size. Hotel is walking distance, 3-5 mins from Ben Thanh Market and an awesome Food Street Market just below. The breakfast was also good, the breakfast area was beautiful as well. Overall, loved my stay in this hotel, would definitely recommend it to everyone!"

"The hotel is walking distance to most bars and the shopping centre. It just felt too much for me that they are side by side with other hotels which getting high floor is useless cos your view is covered by the walls of the other buildings. But the room is nice and cozy. It's still best to get the high floor so you won't hear the noise outside. Staff were so kind for allowing me to extend my stay and order food at midnight (they accept until 5 in the morning.) (It was Christmas eve and most food shops are closed after I got out of the Christmas eve mass so I had to order food in the hotel). The hotel lobby with a grand piano was a let down because the area is so small and felt so cramped when there are many people waiting at the lobby. Over all, the hotel is best if you are into the busy city. "
