Book the dynasty king suite to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and the hotel is so nice that they wish him happy birthday upon check in when they saw his birth date on his passport and send a free cake to our room. Room is great, location is extremely convenient yet quiet, breakfast and afternoon tea are also tasty with complimentary performance. Not to forget the rooftop bar which is way better than backpacker street (too noisy with crazy motor on walking street). The bellboy is very nice to remind us to be aware of our belongings when walking on the street and recommended nice massage shop opposite the hotel (many fishy ones there).

A&em Art hotel exceeded my expectations. To me it”s room, bed, pillow quality & staffs are on par with Hilton. The location of the hotel is very convenient situated walking distance from ben Thanh market. Front desk receptionist Ms Bich Phuong & bellboy Mr Tan are very friendly & helpful. I stayed here, moved out to District 1 Japanese street middle of my trip then moved back again to this hotel end of my trip. There is welcome drinks & nice breakfast.

got the top floor which is nice and comfortable.has weird stink but once a/c is on it's bearable.bathroom has jacuzzi which is surprising for this kinda hotel.be careful of hot water from shower heard, comes in spurts where its too hot so need to figure out the knobs for a while. staff is courteous. can hear the traffic but its muted at the top floor.close to massage parlors(with ladies calling out for you to have massage) down the street filled japanese themed restaurants as this street is sort of like little tokyo i guess. what is impressive wifi is free and it's 50Mbps at least up and down. no gym though but this is defintiely a value of rmoney hotel.in summary 3star hotel with 4 star bedroom(on the 8th floor) and 5 star bathroom(with jacuzzi) . it was the priciest room but hey you get big windows to look out and doesn't feel claustrophobic.

My husband and I stayed at this property for 5 nights for his birthday . I would like to admit that by far this has been my best hospitality experience. I love to travel and have been to some luxury five star chains but hotel nikko experience is unparallel. We stayed at the 23 floor in the king club room . The room is spacious and the decor is modern and chic. They provide a turndown service and the housekeeping staff is well trained to add small touches when they clean the room( for example keeping shoes in one line) , it feels home when you come back to room after sightseeing. The breakfast is ellaborate and what is more interesting is that they change few dishes ( including the local ones) on a frequent basis so if you stay like us for more than a night, it will be a sigh of relief for your taste buds to try something new. Staff are well trained and willing to assist. Our best experience was with nikko club lounge( situated on 23 floor) where the views over the city are spectacular and the staff is extremely courteous and efficient including all the trainees who made us feel very special. I would recommend to book a room that has a lounge access , every extra dime you will pay is totally worth it. The staff in the nikko club lounge are so well trained and know how to deliver the first class standard of service. They also helped me arranging a cake for my husband and help me arrange a surprise for him. The hotel is truly a gem in district 1 of ho chi minh! It is slightly away from the touristic madness of city but if you fancy something wild the backpacker's street ( bui vien) is walking distance from the hotel. The other landmarks( cathedral, post office etc) are also not too far and you can order a grab for quite cheap rate. After spending at Six sense NINA Van Bay,here is EXCELLENT,compared with SSNVB, 1000 times better !THIS is 5 STAR HOTEL! Definitely staying at here makes my whole trip in Vietnam happily,good ending! Seems staff never say NO,they are super well training,great service! Especially house keeping is outstanding! They are very thoughtful ,they know how to make the guests comfortable and happy! Of course cleanup the room perfectly! I had quick breakfast,both the range of foods and taste are great,but milk pancakes are not good. The best bang mi in Saigon (I tried two best know one but here is better than those two! As information,SSNVB ‘s one is awful!)

Thank you for the services during our stay which make us feel exceptionally welcomed. The design of the hotel is impeccable, fell in love when I first entered. Every room comes with ensuite jacuzzi which is brilliant, we soaked in it every night after a long day out. The hotel is very generous, also provided lemongrass salt and bubbles for the jacuzzi. We also received a bottle of complimentary wine, cake, daily afternoon tea, and were told to help ourselves for the minibar. The complimentary afternoon tea was not shabby at all, every piece was a delight. Despite the renovation noise outside which is not within the hotel's control, chilling out by the pool is pretty awesome. I'd recommend perhaps chill out on a Sunday when the workers are not working. Hotel is situated is a not-so-busy street, however we could still hear loud music. Could guess that the sound-proof is not that strong, but the noise is bearable, might be we were too tired to be bothered. Lastly, I sincerely hope that the hotel could keep up or even be better in years to come. I'd certainly visit again.

dead center of hcmc. right on dong khoi street where it is great starting point for walking the streets of hcmc. this hotel was updated and expanded in 1999. before that, it as the original caravelle that was popular with american military staff during the vietnam war. a short taxi ride will take you to the backpackers area where you can get cheap eats and other vn gifts. cheaper than near the hotel. 2 shopping centers are just 1 block north of the hotel. good five star hotel. i would stay here again.

I loved this hotel, I used the pool and the gym and the breakfast, well, it was the stand-out. The food is replenished and is of highest of quality and the seats are comfortable. Rooms and linen are all pretty much pristine and brand new, air cond perfect. Found the best sushi restaurant called sushi-sushi around the corner in an alleyway. Recommend you eat there is you're into good, cheap Japanese, much better than the retail places fronting the main streets. I fully recommend this hotel and forgot to mention getting round in taxi was easy b/c the concierge speaks English and could tell the taxi drivers where we wanted to go (like take a one hour drive around Saigon).

Positives: The staff is overtly friendly. The rooms and public areas are very clean and relatively new. The breakfast buffet is one of the best attributes of the hotel. The views from the 11th floor is wonderful. The location is great being located on a dead end street, yet in good walking distance to most District 1 attractions. In the evening, there was a pianist in the lobby, which was a nice touch. It is worth mentioning once again...fantastic and attentive staff. Perhaps the foreigner manager could be more friendly like his staff, but I did not have many dealings with him. He seemed friendly, but nothing like his employees. One final note, the beds are awesome. Negatives: Throughout the hotel, they advertise a happy hour for drinks. It is advertised as buy one drink, get the second for $1.00. I bought a beer and a cocktail. I did expect to pay full price for the more expensive of the two. But, they tried charging me full price for both since one was a beer and one was a cocktail. I was able to finally get the beer for a dollar after a long process of speaking with the manager. They should be more clear in their advertising in this regards. It set a bad tone with me in regards to my overall experience with the hotel. The pool is very small, especially when you look at the hotel next door and see a huge pool. Of course the hotel can not do anything about this. They have very limited space on the roof. The hotel does try to maximize it's seating near the pool, but it feel crowded and uncomfortable. Again, with the space being limited, I understand why they did it. But, it is not comfortable. I made a suggestion to one of the staff that they invest in some fans for the roof area too. When the sun is out and there is minimal wind, it is quite hot in the area. One of the biggest drawbacks for me at this hotel (and I think it is common at most hotels here), you only get about 15 minutes of hot water for a shower before it goes cold. If you have two or more people in a room, you will have to shower in shifts. I think this is the biggest problem of the hotel. Hot water should be plentiful. Did I mention how great the employees were?

The location is perfect, basically all the major sites are within walk distance - you name it, Dong Khoi street, Ferry, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Reunification place and Phan Nguyen Lao street and so on. But walking in the sun in march is not really comfortable. So the best plan is to take a walk either before 10am or after 5pm. Hotel staff is really friendly, and the room is very clean. You can also enjoy free wifi in room, which is absolutely a plus in Southeast countries. The swimming is nice, not really big. Breakfast is pretty decent with good variety - Western, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and even Korean. I spent 6 nights in the hotel and was not fed up. If there is one thing i am not very satisfied with, it is the kid club.

My friends and I stayed at Eden Saigon last Aug 28-30, 2014. All I could say is that this hotel is perfect, though the food can still be improved (i didn't find toast bread though the hash brown is fantastic!). We had a bad experience during our trip from cambodia, got stranded in pnom penh and so we were not able to check in on Aug 28 at Eden Saigon but the manager has been so accommodating and helpful to us, he allowed us to check out late on Aug 30. And so we had sometime to explore HCMC and did some shopping. The hotel is very clean and safe and what I like most is that there were no noise in our room which is in 10th floor. I also love the buffet breakfast! Two thumbs up to hotel staff at the reception who are always very helpful to tourist like us. We will definitely stay again in this hotel when we go back to HCMC for more shopping! For fellow travelers, beware of the fake taxis in HCMC. We've been cheated and paid 600,000 dong when according to hotel staff taxi from Pham Ngu Lao (where we get off the bus from Cambodia) should only be 30,000 dong. Take only Vina Sun and other reputable taxis, fake taxis are usually white and have no logos of a company in the car. Make sure the taxi will drop you off in front of your hotel as the hotel staff would be glad to assist you and tell you if you've been charged too much. Unfortunately, we were not able to get the cheater's taxi name and plate number. Nevertheless, we appreciate that the hotel offered to contact the taxi if we were able to take note of the taxi details.

The room is big and clean. The beds are comfy enough and there's plenty of space in the bathroom. Breakfast was nice with a variety of dishes (both western and eastern). They have a fresh eggs station and you can soup noodles too which are made on the spot. Staff are friendly and very helpful. They speak plenty English. We had a little problem with payment but it was our fault because we thought we had already paid for something we hadn't. They did their best explaining what had happened. It's in district 1 of Saigon, though perhaps a bit far from the backpacker street. There are plenty of eats around nevertheless. We liked staying here.

Strictly speaking in terms of the hotel conditions, it was great. Centrally located, walks away from the shopping areas and dining areas. A very wide breakfast spread. The room was very very good. Definitely rated 5 stars for the room and bathroom. However, we were a little disappointed in the staff perfomance of this 5 star hotel. We requested to change our bedsheets because the flower petals caused my boyfriend to have an allergy. The receptionist doesnt seem to understand our simple english. Thus, language skills could be improved. Although it was a grand and nice hotel, we werent felt warmly welcome. (Because we were backpacking throughout Vietnam from Hanoi, all the way down to HCM). We just had a feeling that we do not suit into the hotel. Which was not a good feeling. Although we were carrying backpacks and does not look wealthy does not mean that we are not. This might be my own opinion, however, this is the truth that how we felt at the end of our stay. There is no initiative at all. Even for the bellboy at entrance. He didnt smile to us or say goodbye to us. While he was loading our bags to the taxi, he just spoke a few words in vietnamese to the driver and the driver looked at us and smirked. Definitely not a very good impression on the stay with Majestic Hotel even though they are a 5 star hotel. Our hotel at Hanoi - Calypso Hotel which is only a 3 stars hotel definitely exhibits the quality of a 5 star hotel. The service was way better than Majestic. This all serves as an opinion. Nothing wrong about the Hotel. It was a great building, grand and with huge bed, comfortable. But theservice definitely could be improve on.

Definitely be my first choice in Ho Chi Min city. Very good location, not far from Sinh Cafe bus station and not far from the Pham Ngu Lao Street, but far enough to keep the noise of bars away. Very clean room and very nice stuff, they speak very good English, and every time we walk out to street, they remind us to take care with our bags. And our room got a very great view: we can see sunrise just at the window, and the city has a really good skyline. This was the last hotel I stayed in Viet Nam, and it was just perfect.

Location is good and within walkable distance to many attraction sites. Very near to Banh Thanh market and backpackers street Pham Ngu Lao. There are many eateries around the hotel. There's one popular banh mi store called Banh Mi Huynh Hoa about a few minutes walk from the hotel which sells very tasty banh mi ftom 230pm to 1100pm daily. You can also walk to a nearby street food eating place or a basement food center (Taka Place) at Pham Ngu Lao. Both sell nice, cheap local food. There's even a laundry shop just opposite the hotel. Our family room is clean and well maintained. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly. They can even help you to arrange for grab taxi if you prefer not to take Vinasun or Mahlinh. Breakfast is pretty good and tasty. Besides, there's always some ice-cool refreshing tea which you can help yourself to at the reception lobby. Overall, we enjoy our stay in this hotel.

Several plus points come to mind - first, the location: right in the heart of Dong Khoi street which is *the* happening place in Ho Chi Minh City - great restaurants and shopping all within a stone's throw from the hotel. Next, the great old world charm of the hotel with all the facilities that you would expect from a good 5-star hotel - swimming pool, restaurant and bar. The room we stayed in was in the old wing but had all the facilities of a modern 5-star hotel room. The room overlooked the street but there was absolutely no noise filtering through despite the heavy Christmas eve traffic. The bathroom was also very clean with everything working perfectly. We had no problem with the air conditioning either. I also highly recommend the hotel's tour desk whose staff were able to organize a 'city tour' and a 'Cu Chi Tunnel' tour for us at short notice. Lastly, the price - about 20-30% cheaper than other equivalent hotels.

I have to say this is probably the best experience I’ve had in a very long time. Unfortunately we could only spend one night here, we are a family with 2 young children after over 5 weeks traveling, 3 weeks backpacking beautiful Vietnam we wanted to spend our last full day at a top notch hotel, I don’t think we could have done any better, I feel it’s great value for money. We splurged a little more to have an extra big room with the executive suit on the 21st floor river view, all day snacks and drinks at the executive lounge, they serve cocktails/snacks in the evening that’s a bonus and the food was great. The staff was very friendly everyone greets you with a smile, everyone speaks English fairly well, very helpful, really impressive! The roof top pool is awesome we had an amazing afternoon with our kids, it’s an incredible view, you will not be disappointed. The pool isn’t huge, but that wasn’t a problem for us, we had loads of fun! We had lunch at the sky bar on the roof/pool just soaking up the view, the sun and few beer :) We had room service for dinner, they were prompt, polite, friendly, and the food was delicious. The breakfast buffet was great, loads of variety. We had a evening flight and they were very accommodating by letting us late check-out late. I’ll end with saying I love the attention to detail, it’s a clean sharp looking place, central location but most importantly the friendly, helpful staff, at the end of the day customer service is what counts the most! Thank you for your hospitality and a perfect last day in your beautiful country and phenomenal hotel!

airport pick-up by hotel (for a fee) was excellent for a first-timer in hcmc instead of haggling with taxi drivers; room was average enough size for two but bathroom was spacious with tub; very clean and quite a new hotel in the area surrounded by many other hotels; convenient to walk around saigon attractions (independence park/notre dame cathedral/ post office) and benh than market (5 minutes); pham ngu lao was within walking distance (10 - 15 minutes); and breakfas buffet was generous (mix of asian and western food).

It's not that easy to locate the hotel as it is almost at the far end of the Buy Vien Street in Pham Ngu Lao. That being said, I felt safe during my stay. Their staff are so pleasing especially Taoh and Nih of the restaurant. They are very helpful and attentive to our needs. Always cheerful with a smile. Excellent service. Really glad I chose this among the bunch of cheap looking hotels along Buy Vien Street. The view rooftop bar is great! You can view the Saigon Sky Deck tower from the roof top. Excellent food buffet choices. The rooms are quite old though but fair enough for the value of money and decency youll get out of the sea of hotels around Pham Ngu Lao.

You can't beat the location, and you can walk to most things in District 1. This is a true four star hotel (not all hotels which advertise themselves are such compared to international standards). Make sure you book a city view room. If you do then will get get a fantastic panorama of the city skyline, which is magical both day and night. Another must is the roof top terrace on the 14th floor, (the pool is also up here), where you can drink in the views, day or night. The beds are really comfortable and the room I stayed in , had a lovely new bathroom. Breakfasts were great, too. I have been to HCMC many times and have stayed in many Hotels, there. Bt when it comes to the combination of factors such as budget, quality of rooms (mine was a large city view on a higher floor), ease of walking access to most of the local sights and value for money, then you can't beat here.

Location is right smack by Ben Thanh market (2 mins walking) so it's near to all the shopping. It's also near to the backpacker street (Pham Ngu Lao street) where you can board The Sinh Bus to Mui Ne (Phan Thiet province) or Nha Trang. Rooms are ok, nothing really stands out. It's decent but not great. Someone brought some dried fish or squid in the hotel so the smell was not so nice in the lift and in the hallway. Service was good and flexible. We checked in at around 9.30am and were provided the room after 15 minutes.

My wife and I decided to have a night "away" and checked into a Palace Signature Suite of the Palace Hotel Saigon. The room was a corner unit split into a living room and a bedroom. It had a small corner balcony and view of Nguyen Hue street, the Bitexco tower and a sliver of the Saigon River. A highlight of the room was the bathroom, that stretched the length of the living room and bedroom and included a small jacuzzi - something not found in other suites in this price range - bubble soap and view onto Nguyen Hue street through tinted windows included. Staff was extremely friendly. For example, they brought us two wine glasses within 2 minutes of our request. They even thought so far ahead and included a bottle opener despite not asking for one. We slept through breakfast, so I can't comment on the quality of the food, but breakfast was included. However, given its great location, there are many options - expensive and local - to get some food or simply a coffee. The best part was the price. We were able to get the Suite for about USD 112 (non-refundable) on Agoda, which was on par with standard rooms at the other 4-star+ hotels in the area, and far below the rates for their suites.

Incredible hotel for the money,corner suite with bath was well worth the money. Bed was so comfortable and the room was spotless. Service from staff was amazing with excellent customer service and staff going the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was spectacular with plenty to choose from and great choice of coffee. Location was perfect for us, walking distance to centre and away from all the backpackers,perfect. I celebrated my birthday in the hotel and when we arrived back to the room after dinner to find a slice of birthday cake wishing me happy birthday,lovely touch from the hotel. Brilliant, could not ask for more. We travel to Vietnam every year and this hotel will now be at the Top of our list. Any bad reviews of this hotel I find hard to believe. Don’t think twice about this hotel, book it and experience the amazing service and facilities and you will not regret it.

Enjoyed the upgrade from 2BR to 3BR executive apartment. There was ample space for everyone in terms of room size, living area, kitchen and laundry area. As travellors, we enjoyed the handy laundry/dryer combo that completed the laundry while we slept. The residence was very considerate to provide laundry detergent so we didn't have to buy our own. The place also came with a 6pax set of cutlery, crockery and basic cooking set that it inspired us to cook breakfast one morning. It was in every aspect as good as a five star international hotel in terms of comfort, housekeeping, bedding and privacy. The areas it exceeded a 5 star hotel was the size of the fully furnished apartment, the provision of an equipped kitchen (we were able to make pancakes, French toast, roast tomatoes, boil carrots and eggs, poach eggs, and make cinnamon honey tea. The fridge was also stocked with complimentary water, instead of being packed with soft drinks pegged at high prices. Check in was easy and straightforward through Agoda and we didn't need to fuss with deposits and payment upon check out. The location of the place is a tad out of the central shopping and entertainment area but it was not a deal breaker as a 50,000 dong (USD2.5) cab ride would easily get us around. Talking about taxis, there was also a Taxi operator on site to bring cabs into the vicinity so it saved us from walking out of the streets to hail one ourselves. The taxi operator was Mai Linh which is one of two reliable operators in Vietnam. There is a provision shop within the apartments that sells basic necessities and snacks which is handy if you don't want to venture to a supermarket like Big C or Lotteria Mart or the Co-Op mart. Despite my overall positive experience, my friend's experience with their apartment was a little marred as their apartment stunk of stale cigarette smoke. So do ask for a non-smoking unit when you make a reservation.

Our stay was not without issues - had to move rooms twice - uncomfortable mattress and then air conditioning failure, but the staff could not have been more helpful and moved us within moments of raising our concerns. Highlights of the stay were the lovely rooftop pool and delicious complimentary afternoon teas. We also booked three tours through the front desk - to the Cu Chi tunnels and the Cao Dai temple, the Mekong Delta and an evening dinner cruise all of which were memorable, enjoyable and superb value for money. The desk also arranged foot massage for me at a sister hotel, which, again, was excellent value for money. Location is very convenient - just moments to the main market and a street food market, with Union Square a further short walk away. I hope we can return one day in the not too distant future. We heartily appreciated Miss Julie as she provide great service with professional attitude to customer, her service to us 👍. We feel glad to stay C Central Hotel as the location quite convenience to Pham Ngu Lao which could experience the Vietnamese nightlife culture, along the street have great food to enjoy. The hotel provide newly hotel with huge space room and the bathroom facilities is so wonderful as the shower water so powerful and bathtub also so clean. We definitely thanks to the management of this hotel to provide us a great clean room. We feel so touching of their caring as they even put ear plugs due to night life happening. We don't feel will affect us as the music of sound still okay for us . The breakfast also good especially their coffee has good fragrance ☕️🍵😋😋. Thanks to Miss Julie for her best service to us.

Upon arrival my original room (Panoramic View) was upgraded to a suite. I am not sure why but the hotel appeared to be fully booked during the 3 days of my stay. I had to wait about 1 hour for the suite room to be ready. The room had wooden floor with a king size bed. There was an outdoor bathtub. The bathroom had a thick frosted glass wall which faced the small balcony with the outdoor bathtub. The bathtub maybe novel but the design is flawed because when it rained, the most of the floor becomes wet despite a large umbrella. The breakfast menu has a limited choice of Western dishes (pastry and cereal) with more choices available in Asian foods. It would have been nicer if the Western food included potatoes and baked beans. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The fitness centre is on the first floor which was open to air and is a bit warm. There is a large wooden "swimming pool" but perhaps it would be more suited for soaking than swimming. Machines in he gym include two treadmills, a stepper, a multi-function resistance equipment and a small set of mini-barbells. The hotel is located a bit far from the central sights (Ben Thanh market, Dong Khoi, shopping centres) for walking (1.5km) in the daytime. It is possible to walk from the hotel to the to Pham Ngu Lao area (10 minutes).
