This hotel is located above the latest shopping mall in Johor baru. There are two hotel blocks where able to provide sufficient of rooms. Surrounding the hotel you may find various kind of food stall and restaurant if you want o have local delights. And on top of food stall, you can have also famous fast food chain and Hong Kong style restaurant in the shopping mall. Hotel facilities are great apart from standard swimming pool and gym, they also offer in house golf game and to be coming water park. In short, you and your family will not be bored during the stay in this hotel and the rate of the room is reasonable.

it feels like 5 star hotel treatment. the staff members are very respectful of its customers and very prompt to meeting my needs. i stayed in the princess deluxe room and found the bed and linen very cosy and super clean. enjoyed the short stay there and most importantly a good rest.located at central jb,it is next to kotaraya shopping mall where other kinds of food are available. i will come back for the arabic food located at the hotel lobby itself.

it is our 1st time staying at this hotel & we absolutely have no regrets about it. we are given a corner room with a super spacious bathroom. the hotel is also located within walking distance from the new shopping mall, ksl city mall & plaza pelangi. the hotel 27th storey sky lounge is also not to be missed, it offers a superb view of johore, they also have live band performing.

Value for money: In the past, we paid extra for breakfast as there are a vast range of cuisine from Japanese to French, Malay to Thai. You name it, they have it. Unfortunately, our recent visit had half then what we had previously. Don't get it wrong, the food is great. The chefs and waiters were friendly. Probably they reduced the food to cut down on wastage. Nevertheless, given that the shopping malls near the hotel only starts operating at 10am, having a breakfast at the hotel is your best bet. We also opted for in-room dining for dinner. The food was exceptionally better than most hotels of the same price range. Don't let their prices fool you. It may seem expensive, but trust us, it is worth it. If you are tired from a day's trip, order from their dinner or supper menu and you can't go wrong. Location: As stated, the malls only operate after 10am. If you are driving, be prepared for massive jams as it is situated next to the busy Customs. Can't fault the hotel for both of them.

the location is easy access by car,bus and taxi.this hotel is very near plaza pelangi and ksl.lobby is so so but the room is superb.the room is quite big for 2 people and beautiful design and decorations like sofa and working table.the bathroom is nice and with bathtub.breakfast is excellent and many choices.this hotel is one of the best in johor bahru and this is just 3 stars hotel but look like 4 stars hotel.but the swimming pool is indoor,cold and does not look clear.but gym and sauna is basic but it is good enough.

Mutiara rep good value for money, as the hotel room (We booked a club room)was of a good size and clean, 2 important aspects for family with young kids. Furnishing seems a bit dated, but doesn;'t matter as we were out most of the time. Limited cable tv channels though. the swimming pool is small but clean. Gym was a bit small too, with 4 treadmills and a number of weight machines; would have been great if the hotel could provide towels and bottled drinks. Location of hotel was good. Holiday plaza was just next door, could get cheap mobile phone accessories and fast food outlets. About 10 mins walk from hotel is a new shopping mall called KSL, which had all the prerequisites of a mall, i.e. supermarket, cinema, shops, food outlets.

5 min away from the City Square Plaza shopping mall which is linked to the Johor Customs via a overhead bridge. There is a new mall opening which is even nearer to the hotel. The breakfast was great. The poolside restaurant also serve nice food and drinks. The pool was ok with lots of sun for tanning. The gym, in-changing room, Jacuzzis and steam room were all clean and need. The gym equipment was of top class. The shower gel, shampoo and conditional were from a reputable brand. You will be greeted with free cookies from the hotel and at any time should you feel hungry and needed some, just click the careline and request. The cookies would be delivered warm to your room. It was really tasty.

The location is perfect as it is just 5mins away from CIQ and the shopping malls. The rooms are spacious, clean, neat and well furnished. The facilities available are just superb! There’s laundry mat, gym and pool. However, the receptionists were ridiculous. I have booked a 2-bedroom apartment. However, 1 of the rooms was locked. So we tried calling the receptionists from our room to seek assistance. However, no one answered the phone after calling 5 times. So we went down and reported the issue and was told to wait in the room. However, no one came up. So we went down AGAIN about 30mins later. Again, they asked us to wait in the room but, obviously, we have plans so we went out instead. 3hrs later, when we came back, the room is still locked. For the 3rd time, we went down and this time, we got them to follow us up to the room on the spot. The following day, we asked them to send up the ironing board but the same thing happened. So, why bother, right? They just had to ruin the whole experience.

It was a pleasure stay in the hotel. Was told most of the rooms were recently renovated that why it looks neat and clean. Temporary reception at level 6 was well setup. Staffs were all smiling and polite. Not everyone of them speak english but the smile on their face is good enough to make my stay one of the pleasant one in Johor. Breakfast was another surprise which includes both eastern and western cusines. Location wise, it talks almost 15 to 20 minutes of walking to get to City Square, a nearby shopping mall across the immigration center of Johor. Was hoping there is more frequent shuttle transport between the hotel and shopping malls instead of 2 trips scheduled per day. Recommended for everyone to stay on short or long term basis.

Stayed in Bello for two nights with my family. Booked a suite room and a duplex room. All staffs ie from bell boy, security guards to receptionists are very helpful and guests were given a five star hotel treatment even though the hotel is two/three stars rated. Communication has no problem. Their spoken English are excellent compare to other low rated hotels. Location is opposite few coffee shops with nice food. Hotel is peaceful and quiet at night. Transportation very convenient. Walking distance to JB Sentral and shopping mall. The only problem is, there is no parking bay at the hotel itself. We were asked to park our car at an open parking area near a police station with 24 hours security. Overall, we are giving Bello Hotel 5 stars. Keep it up !

budget hotel within walking distance to the Johor immigration if you need to enter Singapore. Nearby to many places including food, shopping malls, Hindu temple, bus/taxi interchange. I'd paid standard room w/o breakfast. Check in service crew is average. You can taste some Indian Muslim local food for breakfast just outside this hotel. The room is adequate although the toilet is not that clean but acceptable. Provided free Wifi and I have no complains there with no connection issues. I am regular customer of this hotel (from a night stay to a few nights) as it is the best budget hotel within this location, in my opinion. If you intend to get a room with breakfast, the breakfast is adequate. The food items are fresh and still hot even if you have your breakfast late (0630hrs to 1000hrs)Breakfast service crew is great. Their service standard are consistent every time I had my breakfast there. I will certainly stay there again.

The staffs were very helpful and friendly. The rooms and corridor has been newly renovated. The rooms are spacious, bed are comfy, room facilities are well arranged, toiletries are sufficient. This hotel deserves more than a three stars rating. Location is extremely good. The hotel are surrounded by most of the favourite/popular shopping centres and hawkers in Johor Bahru. Such as the tebrau hawker and KSL shopping mall just behind, pelangi just up a little, and a night hawker selling really delicious local food just across the road. All these places are within walking distance. Breakfast spread are considered good and atas (for the price you paying) with Egg station. I greatly recommend this hotel to everyone. Looking forward to my next visit. CONS: Shower heater abit slow in heating up the water. I have to let the water run for 15 minutes before I could step in. TV channels abit bland with local channels. Can be improved by adding some Movie Channels like Fox or HBO or Thrill.

This Hotel is located at very strategic location. Is about 5min walk to Pelangi Plaza and 9min walk to KSL shopping mall. There are a lots of restaurants/cafes within the walking distance. The most convenience thing is there is 1 Chinese foodcourt just behind the hotel (2min walk). Although it is a budget hotel, but the room size is quite big. The front desk staffs are all very friendly and helpful.

Everything is new here, we had a very comfortable stay. Breakfast spread was on the small side but very decent, they have omelette station and serve special honey butter with their toasts. Rooms are slightly small but still has sufficient walking space, so not an issue. The only downside was that there is no shopping mall within walking distance, we had to take grab to KSL and City Square mall (approximately 10mins ride and below RM10). All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and we find this hotel very value for money. We will visit again!

The staff is so friendly especially the guy who take care of parking . The hotel is in the middle of town , easy going to anywhere. It’s near to shopping mall , you can just walk around 3-5 minutes from hotel and if you were hungry at night , they provide the food trucks . WiFi connection a bit slow , you need to improve the connection so that the business traveler’s can do their work. They also provide water dispenser at every floor so easy for mommies to do a milk and also an iron area. Everything is easy . They also did a room cleaning every day. Kids friendly , they clean the pool early in the morning so you can go for swimming in the early of morning like 8. Overall is okay 👌🏻.

my family and i stayed for 3 days actually. here's my review: value for money: reception are only two so if you go there at a bad time then for sure the check in time is quite long. but ours was acceptable. strategic location as the hotel is very near to the border of singapore and jb. we could even see the bridge with vehicles queueing up to go to singapore. it's awesome staff performance: very friendly and helpful staffs. good! we left a charger in one of the room and one of the staff helped us find it. no complaints at all for me. awesome hotel condition/cleanliness: design is just ok~ both interior and exterior. you'll see flaws if you focus too much on every details of the hotel but give them a break. it's an old but revamped hotel. it's clean. and that's what more important room comfort/standard: we stayed in a deluxe. medium size room but it's pleasant. love the room. next time we are staying we'll try another room for sure food/dining: did not try the restaurant though. hehe.. oh yeah, if you stayed in this hotel you are given 10% discount for chocolates at the three chocolates shop in the hotel's shopping mall hotel features: we heard a lot of worrying things about jb but to our surprise, it was actually safe lah. there's polices every where. anyway no doubt, we'l be coming back to this hotel again on our next trip additional comment: zon hotel is near to singapore. since jb does not have any other attraction other than lego land then you can go to singapore. take a train to woodland then from there take a cab or get on the lrt. for lego land, it's 30 mins drive to lego land from the hotel. love the lego land but it's freaking hot. i mean it.

Staffs is helpful, room is clean! Walkable distance to shopping mall and check Point! My daughter’s bolster is left behind and we only realised it the following night. Contacted the hotel staffs through Facebook messenger late in the night and got an instant reply. Review came late, not something expensive but very precious to my daughter and I’m very thankful for their help!

To sum up my accommodations, I had a fuss free and peaceful stay whilst in the hotel premises. Location: Access to the nearest shopping mall (Plaza Pelangi) is about 2 minutes walk away south. There is a bus stop just meters away from the hotel's entrance; I was helpfully related by one of the staff that all the buses that stop there would eventually reach the city centre and bus terminal (probably helpful if you're taking bus rides back enroute to Singapore). During a large part of the day and evening taxis also travel along the main road in front of it, and it's easy enough for them to turn into the smaller road in front of the hotel to pick you up if you ever need to get anywhere further and don't feel like walking. It's entirely possible to walk to another nearby mall located about 1.2km away, which is KSL City Mall (north-west), and the mall's facade was visible from my particular room's view on the third floor. If you're travelling by car, do note that parking is generally sparse, but not non-existent. You'll be allowed a reserved parking space in the aforementioned small road directly in front of the hotel if available. Room Decor: Hotel is rather new; paint is fresh, rooms are clean (Did some dust "investigations" and this hotel evidently practices high dusting). Modern minimalist. LCD TV, safety deposit box. CONS: No closed wardrobe, but you get instead about 3-4 hangars to use with the stylish wall hanging fixtures. Air-conditioned with manual control. Room Space: Rather spacious, fit for two. Bed is clean and comfortable (Not too hard, nor too soft), and inviting for other activities besides sleeping (lol). Toilet: Very clean and inviting, and also new. Comes with towels, disposable toothbrush/paste, shower cap, soap cake, small bottle of shower gel and shampoo. Staff usually replenishes these upon use within the day. View: Windows are sealed, and affixed with a roller blind, i.e; you cannot open the window. Rooms are also

Prior to going to Hotel CIQ, I made my research of how the place looked like in Google maps and was not very impressed with the surroundings. It didn't look appealing and thought that I won't be getting my money's worth. But lo and behold, Hotel CIQ delivered the superb service without the pricey cost of a regular hotel. The room can fit 3 adults, 1 child. Wifi had strong signal in the room and gave us opportunity to download our pictures online right away at no cost. The bathroom was spacious, with hot-cold water. Complete standard amenities like electric kettle, Malaysian coffee, bottled water daily, clean towels and bed sheets, air conditioning was working at good condition, fridge and safe available. The staff were very accommodating and kudos to them for their immediate responses to our demands. The ambience outside was ok and safe. There is a nearby convenience store complete with stuff that you can buy at a very affordable price. 1L of bottled water that cost less than 1Ringgit compared to 7-11 that you can buy worth 3Ringgit. Bread, biscuit, drinks hot cold available until midnight. The hotel is 10mins away by cab from their famous shopping malls like JB City Square and KSL, while less than 30mins taxi from Legoland. Had a nice stay in Johor Bahru and thanks to this Hotel for the pleasant accommodations given to us. 2 thumbs up!!!

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night and booked for a family room. The room was very clean. This family room doesn’t have any windows, so you might need to inform them earlier if you need a room with windows. Staffs are so nice and helpful. There was even a ‘mini grocery store’ at the lobby - which my kids love it! It is one of the best value hotel i have stayed. Thank you 😁

I was staying here before entering my university. I stayed here with my parents and brother. Quite a good experience as the best thing of this hotel is, it's located very near to the well-known shopping malls, i.e. CitySquare and KSL Megamall. Everything is good, friendly staff, ok-ok breakfast, comfy room, and so on. But it did ruin my first impression when I realised that they still use old style key instead of key card. No kettle inside to allow us to boil water but the water dispenser outside each floor does provide boiled water. Good shower with high water flow, fridge is provided, big and comfy beds. Just one thing that really annoyed us was the Hindu ceremony which was held just in front the hotel. I don't know whether that is permanent or just temporarily, but for the 3 days we stayed there, the prayers and the smoke did't stop at all from 8am to 12am. The whole room was filled with smoke smell and the prayers was so loud that we couldn't sleep until 12am. However, my family and I agree that it's pointless to complain to the hotel. That's not their fault too. Summary, everything is excellent as a budget hotel, except the Hindu ceremony.

great place to get away from town, yet easily accessible with paid shuttle bus to jb icq. very good international spread, seldom found in malaysia hotel. next to a ksl city shopping mall and opposite is the aging holiday plaza. lots of eateries. so, eat and eat. negative : 1) near to ktvs and discotech, booming away at night to wee hours. can be heard in the quite bedroom. boom you to sleep.

firstly is the location. its near to ciq which you can travel from singapore by foot! very near city square which shops are currently quite new and back to business after few months of renovations going on. next is the food, at night if youre feeling hungry theres warung at jalan wong ah fook downstairs at the back lane...you should try ikan pari bakar and kangkong belacan. yummy! theres nasi ayam penyet served in a very big plate something like a tray and its rm7.50 per set. really worth it. if you want chinese food you can walk further down across the back lane theres chinese warungs. thirdly is abt the hotel. its just besdie 7-eleven! :d i love the shower...you can choose which kind of nozzle you want. i loooooove the mist bcs i have the normal one at home so its like once in a lifetime where you get mist to shower. lol. all in all its good. i recommend those whose on a short trip to bandaraya bcs theres the new galleria at kotaraya just 5minutes walk across where u have to pass by an indian temple. greattt! it has been countless of time i check into this hotel :d
