Big bathroom : hot and cold water in both bath-up and shower works well, has hair dryer, complete amenities such as soap, tooth brush, shampoo, sewing kit, etc. AC, tea/coffee maker works well. TV has many channels, good WiFi in room. Good swimming pool, delicious pizza from Warung Bule (in pool area) with reasonable price. Complete breakfast. Newspaper in the morning sent to the room. Indonesian instrument from gamelan or piano with the smell of lemongrass welcoming guests in the lobby area. smooth check-in and check-out process. Near Minimart/Indomaret (at the corner of the street) about 7 mins walking. Near Tunjungan Plaza (still needs taxi or gocar/grab). Cake shop discount at 17.30. best deal for bread and cakes (50% off). Gellato ice cream only at Rp. 25.000,-. Recommended hotel in the center of Surabaya.

hotel is located at a central district within surabaya which is convenient to travel to many locations including plaza tunjungan (currently the biggest shopping mall). security checking is noted at the entrance before entering into the hotel compound which gives one some assurance. checking in is relatively hasslefree with counter staff making efforts to accommodate to your requests. staff are generally quite fluent in english so communication is fine. the room given is cosy with sufficent room to move around with your suitcase without facing restrictions along with a wide range of television satelite channels to keep one occupied. the hotel is situated near to the toll highway which would be most useful in avoiding the worst traffic jams. (a point to take note while proceeding to the airport for departure flights)

i was stayed in java paragon hotel for twice. this hotel with good location, you just take a walk 5 minutes to reach the new shopping mall "ciputra world surabaya" when i stayed here i using the facility like swimming pool and sauna area.. any fitness area but i didn't used that. this hotel very near to other shopping mall like surabaya town square, grand city mall, pakuwon trade mall, and lenmarc shopping mall also tunjungan plaza in basuki rahmat street. the hotel's staff very friendly. this hotel only provide free wifi in lobby and bar area, but in the hotel room you must using lan to connect the internet.

It was a short one night stay with a late check in, so my experience at the hotel is far from comprehensive. However, worth mentioning is the size of the room, definitely a major value for money. The bed and pillows provided are so so very comfy as well (provided you like fluffy pillows). However, some minor flaws prevent me from rating the hotel as excellent. First is the toilet, the shower is only partially covered from the toilet floor, so you will inevitably get it wet when you shower, and yet no mat was provided. Secondly, the bath tub and floor had some stains/ blemish which takes away the class that comes with a 4 star restaurant. There were also stains on the heating element in the kettle provided. Not sure if it was from wear or from somebody misusing the kettle, nevertheless I had no intention of using it. I didn't really have time to fully the surroundings of the hotel, but there was a shopping mall within walking distance. Plaza Tunjungan however would require a short taxi ride. All of these are probably very minor annoyances that can be attended to by the hotel staff and shouldn't bother everybody. All in all, I had a throughly comfortable stay.

It was a wonderful stay from day 1. The staff were very helpful and the hotel is updated with a smart tv with a personalization for the guests which makes me feel so pampered! :) The room was huge and the wifi was good. the security in the hotel was also quite tight because you needed a card that only goes to your room level which was nice! however, everything was great until the day of check out. we had an early flight and we asked the staff to give us a wake up call in case our alarms did not work, and it did not but the staff only called us 1hr 40 mins later than the agreed time and it was just to confirm that we had booked a taxi 40 mins ago. we were lucky that we had already packed and because it was early morning and we went via the toll route, it took only 20 mins to the airport and because of our driver we did not miss our flight! i would still recommend this hotel because its location at taman bungkul is awesome, with access to good food just a mere 2 mins walk away. the service staff had all been very helpful prior to the day of check out and i believe everyone would enjoy the facilities provided! there is also wide variety of channels provided for the guests and a free minibar for consumption! :)

This is our first visit to Surabaya. Prior to this trip, we have only visited the smaller Indonesian islands such as Batam and Bintan. The 4-5 stars accommodation in these places is often over-rated. Hence, we went with zero expectation this time round. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the high level of service and attention to details. People We experienced warm hospitality from the entire service team (from reception desk, bell desk, room service, house cleaning, restaurant). A special mention goes to the bell desk staff (we forgot his name) who helped us secure Mount Bromo tour booking at such short notice. We went Surabaya mainly for Mount Bromo. Little did we know that the tour agency we have in mind was closed for Lunar New Year. So we were very grateful to have the hotel’s recommendation and are satisfied with the tour service. Location With vehicles travelling at an average speed of 30km/h in town, it is better to stay within walking distance to a big mall so you’ll save time and transport fee. The Ciputra Mall next door (sheltered linkway) is a great place to shop and has a wide variety of restaurants. Alternatively, you can easily get a cab to Tunjungan Plaza (approx 50k rupiah / 20mins travelling time), one of the biggest mall in Surabaya. Food We were blown away with the Buffet Breakfast spread. The quality is above averagr and I like the wide variety of juices. We have also used Room Service and find the quality good and service fast. Sleep Quality The mattress quality is great. Just the right amount of firmess. They also have 4 types of pillows for you to choose from upon request. Wifi Decent speed and it is FREE, enough said.

Had an executive room but not on the club floor - room and amenities were very good but, one criticism, the horizontal surfaces sorely needed dusting. This hotel has the best trained staff that I have ever encountered (maybe not the person responsible for dusting). Friendly, efficient and attentive - every one of them, every time. They provide a limited shuttle service to the nearby Metro Mall but you will need a taxi to get over to Tunjungan Plaza - not far but expect 20 - 30 minutes. Evening taxi from airport took an hour on the toll road, return trip at 10:00 am took just 20 minutes. Breakfast buffet was good. Evening a la carte in same resto was very good and pricing reasonable.

We were given an upgrade to the Starwood Preferred Guest floor. Hotel is linked to Plaza Tunjungan which is the largest in city. We could do all our shopping, food and massages in teh mall. With a movie complex, you just dont need to walk out. As It is located in the city, there is nothing to see if you walk out. For a short stay of 3 days, you can just enjoy the hotel pool, gym and shopping if there is what you want. Was there with my folks and so they really enjoyed the relaxing stay with a mall linked.

Stayed at Tunjungan Hotel with 7 friends. Rooms were clean and spacious. We stayed on 7th floor with easy access to to swimming pool as it was located on the same floor. The service was excellent from the security at the entrance, the bell boy and conceirge, greetings and smiling face are the norm daily routine. Breakfast was ok but the sitting was very limited. Had to wait for tables.Location was good as taxis are available 24/7.Next to hotel is the Tunjungan Plaza, a shopping mall with plenty of food to choose from.

It’s located nearby Tunjungan Plaza by 5 to 7 minutes of walking distance. There were lots of restaurant and mini market nearby this area so it was so convenient for me. Easy to get GrabCar or GrabBike. Check-in and check-out processes were super fast. Everyone speaks English very well. Room was massive. I requested for a non-smoking room, unfortunately it was full house and I was given a smoking room. However the room I had was great and there was no smell of cigarettes at all. Breakfast were good, perhaps need to widen the range of food. Taste wise, absolutely fantastic. I love the herb drink so much! Walking distance to other attractions such as Majapahit Hotel (one of the oldest hotel in town), Genteng Kali (at the back of Majapahit Hotel and a place to find local cuisines, souvenirs or fabrics) and Surabaya Museum. Overall this is great hotel at reasonable price.

1. A new hotel with prime location, located in the central of Surabaya. within 10min walk to the famous Tunjungan Plaza - for shopping, eating etc. there is a McCafe opposite of Tunjungan Plaza. 2. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and smells nice!! 3. Bluebird taxi is always just right infront of the hotel, there is no problem about getting a taxi to Tunjungan plaza (around Rp5000) or Gubeng Train Station (less than rp25,000) around 20minutes. Cost of the taxi back from Tunjungan Plaza will be "triple" of Rp5000 as it is a one-way road back to midtown hotel. 4. Efficient service from the staff! we stayed 2 different days here. the first night was by walk-in, although the hotel was already full occupied, but the staff were nice enough to try and get us 2 rooms. within half ah hour, we were given 2 rooms(side-by-side), and with special price! 5. Room card are required to access the lift. good and secure. Room are consider quite spacious. 6. Free breakfast comes with the room, but i found that the additional person cost for the breakfast is a little bit costly (Rp97,500). breakfast is consider tasteful, lots of variety to choose from (Western + Asian food available). 7. There is a 10 minutes free massage if you booked an hour massage service. 8. Free wifi available on each room, excellent coverage! 9. Cons: one toiletries kit was given although it is a double room. Last, will definitely stay here agian if i visit Surabaya agian!

The building is new. Clean. The design is not as I expected since the hotel have "Marriott" name on its title. The design is more like for 3 star hotel. Not sophisticated at all. Bad garbage smell in the basement in the parking lot. I asked to borrow an iron, but they said they didnt have enough. And I booked for the next day to make sure I get the iron, after I complained then they got it for me. I understand it is not five star hotel which they always have iron and iron board in room. But at least they should have more for guests to use. And the service is slow. The staff seems working slowly, especially in reception area. And they always have only one receptionist and make the guests keep waiting. Breakfast is bad. Everything's cold. I prefer have my breakfast outside.

The hotel is right above supermarket (might be hard to find parking). Surrounding the hotel there are plenty of restaurant (MCD right beside hotel). Around 20 mins from the train station by car and 10 mins to Galaxy mall. The room is not too big but still ok to move around with luggage. The bathroom design is a bit silly, so the water will splash outside the shower alot. Abit of stain here and there but still understandable. The hotel room floor is made of tiles so the room we got was a bit dusty. Our room location wasn't the best either. We got the room behind the breakfast area so it tend to be noisy in the morning. There wasn't any swimming pool or any facilities, its a pretty straight forward hotel with good price in good location

We were a group of 8 at the Mecure for a 24 hour stopover. When I emailed to check our Agoda bookings, I got a reply within two hours - and with an apology for being late! Thereafter, my two other emails were replied in no time. Now, that's efficient. Check in was a breeze and all our requests and room configurations were gotten correct. The staff right from arrival to the reception, coffee house and housekeeping were a gem. The rooms were big for the price you pay. They were clean and well appointed. The bathroom was clean and the bed was nice and comfy. The picture we saw on the web of the hotel does not do it justice. It looks a lot better than the box like structure we saw on the web. Breakfast was fantastic for Rp80,000+. Our transport to the airport booked the night before came smack on time (Rp150,000 for a big MPV). No complaints at all and will definitely book the Mecure the next time we are in Surabaya. One thing though - the Tunjungan Mall is said to be close by but it is actually 7 minutes by taxi - so, not exectly within close walking distance. Nevertheless, psst, psst..there is a very big Mc Donalds wihtin walking distance. A good short stay for us.

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at Swiss-Belinn Surabaya! This was our first time to try this hotel and we absolutely loved it. In fact, I'm planning to book my stay in Jakarta at Swiss-Belinn. The location is fantastic with so many great restaurants along the street...All within walking distance. Oh and they are very serious about the interior design of the hotel! So elegant! The only issue I had with my stay was noise from upstairs. I guess the ceiling is slightly thin or not so sound proof as I could quite clearly hear dragging of chairs and people's voices. But it wasn't to a bothering level. All in all, Swiss-Belinn is best bang for the buck hotel!
