this is the third centre point venue i've used and it is by far the nicest, although the room was smaller than the other venues. the location is quite nice, an easy walk to either the ratchadamri bts station or the chitlom bts station. the room is nicely appointed with very nice and comfortable furniture. the bathroom is very large with full shower and separate tub...this is the third centre point venue i've used and it is by far the nicest, although the room was smaller than the other venues. the location is quite nice, an easy walk to either the ratchadamri bts station or the chitlom bts station. the room is nicely appointed with very nice and comfortable furniture. the bathroom is very large with full shower and separate tub. plenty of closet and drawer space is available. i didn't use the kitchenette, except to use the microwave. i noticed that there were no pots available to use however i'm sure a call to housekeeping would quickly rectify that. there is a full size refrigerator/freezer. unfortunately there is no convenience store or market located close to the hotel so i had to walk around a bit to find a 7-11 but that's not a deal breaker for me. the fitness floor has a very nice and modern gym with plenty of equipment and machines. the swimming pool is gorgeous! there is also a lovely quiet reading room, a lounge, and a theater room with a huge flat screen tv that you can reserve for movies. the breakfast buffet was huge and the wait staff was very attentive and helpful. i would not hesitate to recommend this venue and i'm sure i will avail myself to it's comfort again!

Wooden blinds are environment friendly and do the job well. Hard floors are polished. The bathroom is somewhat congested. The shower stall is pretty tight with no hand-held shower. Showering is not comfortable. The toilet bowl, on the other hand, has water jets, button controls, and the hand-held spray. There is a bath-tub too, which I would have gladly traded for a larger shower stall. The house specialty is Asian cuisine likewise in-room dining is mostly Asian. The usual kettle and tea things are in place, moreover a micro-wave, cereal bowls and cutlery are above par. The Grande Centre Point is pricey, and worth every penny. Book early, without hesitation.

Going to other places was also very convenient as there is a BTS station, National Stadium nearby. After check-out we took the BTS station to go to Suvarnabhumi airport, which took about 30mins travelling time. Please note from BTS National Stadium, you need to change at Siam and proceed to Phaya Thai. From here you need to purchase a ticket which costs about 45baht all the way to the airport. Though the train system there is stil room for improvement but still 2 thumbs up for the great convenience as major attractions such as Chatuchak Market, Rod Fai 2 Market, etc are located nearby the train stns.

(breathtaking view from the treadmills over the city). on top of that centara grand features the red sky bar on the 55th floor open until 1am everyday. best views guaranteed. only drawback is the price. everything is overpriced at this hotel. every drink, internet, business center, breakfast, it's more expensive than even in europe! for breakfast we payed 756thb. almost four times more than at aetas residences in bkk. for 5min internet and 4 pages printed we payed 220thb!! for thai measures very expensive. room price is ok tho'

Had to wait for 2hours to check in despite requested for early check in. So I decided to just walked out for late lunch to nearby restaurant MAK YAH, about 10 mins away. After we came back, room was ready. At last! Room is spacious and clean though the room doesnt look new. My baby loves walking around the room. The tv set has dvd player which I able to play Cartoon DVD for my baby, there are a few you can borrow from reception. View was awesome for being in bangkok, city view, able to see Ratchathewi BTS station, Baiyoke sky & siam discover center. Our room was on the 18th floor, able to look down to a swimming pool (8th floor). Baby cot given, the side is broken, pillow and blanket is too old to use. Breakfast is okay, pretty much the same everyday but coolest thing is that, they sell ice cream there and has a plastic rocking horse for my baby to ride on while we having breakfast. Room is a bit squeezy. Location is good (next to asia hotel). I enter asia hotel to access directly to the BTS station. If you have no children, you can walk to Pratunam which is about 15mins walk, if you insist, stroller won't be a hassle. MBK is much nearear, 10mins walk but u need to carry your stroller up the high staircase to cross to MBK or siam discovery center. There is a food court there @level 5 and Yana restaurant for Muslim travellers. You can take BTS skytrain to Chatunchak market, with baby (no stroller please), make sure you bring a manual fan along, it is very stuffy for your baby, don't even think of changing diaper, for feeding, find the clock tower, its windy.

my wife and i stayed at hansar bangkok hotel for three nights. the hotel was very impressive with its great room and service. the room was equipped with a nice office desk (free internet and office supplies provided), comfortable bed, kitchenette, and a standalone bathtub. the rainfall shower was a delight. the staff was very friendly and attentive. the breakfast ...my wife and i stayed at hansar bangkok hotel for three nights. the hotel was very impressive with its great room and service. the room was equipped with a nice office desk (free internet and office supplies provided), comfortable bed, kitchenette, and a standalone bathtub. the rainfall shower was a delight. the staff was very friendly and attentive. the breakfast was a buffet style with good selection of food. egg dishes had to be ordered and we recommend eggs benedict. the location of the hotel was also good – it was about two minute walk from ratchadamri bts station and few stations away from major shopping malls. overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and we highly recommend staying at hansar bangkok.

My neighbours were noisy at 2am, & I could not communicate with them due to language barrier. I intercom reception to assist with this & they apologised & quickly took action. The noise died down after. 3) Facilities are good. There are many restaurants in the hotel & has a good gym & 2 pools. However, the pool on the 12th floor was slightly dirty with bits of algae floating around. 4) Housekeeping was good - room was always restocked with water & coffee every day. The room was made up nicely, towels fresh, bed was comfortable & clean. Only con is that the hotel is slightly old & my fridge was not cold, making my food go bad.

However tuktuk was provided to and fro the hotel, did not try the service of tuktuk from chidlom station to hotel tho. 7-11 is within walking distance but still it’s quite far to get to the nearest.. around the vicinity there’s bars and cafe that I did not check out Staff was nice and welcoming, went to the front desk at odd hours to asked for toiletries they offered to send it up tho! What really touched me was, my dad’s birthday falls on one day of our stay. The team had prepared a card and a slice of cake in the fridge and it was Super sweet of them!! really appreciate the effort they put for the guest!

If you take a right as you exit the hotel, and walk a block or two, there is a great place for a Foot (and back etc) Massage. It is super close to a few malls like MBK, Siam Center, Siam Paragon and if you go a bit further, Central World Plaza. Pratunam is also in reasonable walking distance. Getting back to the hotel is easy by taxi, because everybody will know the National Stadium BTS station. ==Access from Suvarnabhumi (BKK) airport== Take City Line to the end station (Phaya Thai). Transfer to the BTS train, headed for Bearing. Get off at Siam BTS station (2nd stop). From Siam, you can either walk to the hotel (5-10 minutes), or change to the Silom line, heading for National Stadium BTS station. The hotel is directly below the National Stadium BTS station. Walking to/from Siam is more economical, but maybe train is better the first time with luggage.

on my last visit to bangkok i stayed at a 5 star hotel. this hotel offers nearly everything i experienced at the 5 star with small concession made for the greatly discounted price (e.g. room is as well furnished, only smaller - breakfast is of an excellent standard, only with a smaller selection - bathroom is spacious but offers only a shower, no bath). location (right...on my last visit to bangkok i stayed at a 5 star hotel. this hotel offers nearly everything i experienced at the 5 star with small concession made for the greatly discounted price (e.g. room is as well furnished, only smaller - breakfast is of an excellent standard, only with a smaller selection - bathroom is spacious but offers only a shower, no bath). location (right by national stadium bts station / mbk) is ideal and only a short (and cheap) tuk-tuk ride to the palace, temples and khaosan road. all in, i'd love to stay here next time i visit bkk and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

We were given a room on the top floor of the hotel and the rooms were nice and cosy. Just nice for two people. The room looked new and smelled fresh. Toilets were just nice as well (mainly because both of us aren't big-sized. Bigger sized individuals might find manoevuering in the toilet a little tricky and squeezy. Our only complaint was that there was constant drilling and knocking on the 17th floor due to construction and tooth brush and tooth paste were not provided. Having a hotel literally next to the BTS was a total charm. After a long day out in the city, the last thing you want to do is carry your luggage a few hundred metres or more to your hotel. We just had to come down a flight of stairs from the bts station and voila... there our hotel was. The deal we booked did not include breakfast (was expecting the staff to be kind enough to offer it complimentary but alas, they did not - not a big issue to me though). We had our breakfast every day at a thai local eatery just next to the hotel at pranee building. They are open every day except sundays. The staff was helpful and command of english was adequate. Concierge was particularly helpful in recommending places to visit (Even though we had places we wanted to go in mind), as well as efficient in hailing taxis for us. All in all, a very comfortable and happy stay... would tip everyone if i had more baht remaining. Haha. Would definitely come back to Ibis Siam the next time i'm in Bangkok.

We alighted at Siam Station. Following our gps, we got lost in Siam Paragon, however the people here were really friendly, and we got to know there's actually a free "tuktuk" service at B1, Gate 5 of Siam Paragon. Its just a quick 5mins ride and you will alight at the outskirt of the hotel. Just walk all the way straight and you will be able to see it. The staffs in the hotel were really friendly and kind. The bellboy came rushing to help my sister and I with our luggage upon arrival. We got a standard double twin room and the room was quite old, but to us it was okay, since we just needed a place to rest/sleep. Every morning without fail, the staffs greet us with a smile and will ask how's our day/recommend places for us to go. Buffet breakfast was good too, there were lots of variety! The hotel is just 5mins walk away to Pantip mall which sells all the IT gadgets raging from laptops/cameras/iPhone accessories/ bb casing and 10mins walk to Platinum fashion mall. It is also a 5-10mins walk to Siam Paragon and Siam BTS station

Also shipping centres (BTS, Siam Paragon, Siam Centre and so on) are just one BTS station away or 5 ~ 10 minute walk Taxi ride from the airport should be around 350 baht (including airport charge and 2 toll charges) and back to airport should be around 300 baht. Hotel will inform you that it is around 500~550 baht and taxi drivers will claim the same. But I actually travelled from the hotel to airport in early morning for 220 baht as the driver bypassed all the toll booth. Swimming pool can be a good place to chill out and ground floor bar is very expensive for drinking for Thai price but good place for a drink or two with live music.

InterContinental Bangkok Hotel is an excellent hotel, which is close to all the action around the shopping district. The mega mall Central World is just across the street, connected via the overhead bridges. Chidlom BTS station is the nearest BTS station, you are connected to some of the major shopping malls in Bangkok within 1 station either direction. We used it a few times in the day when it was raining. Glad we didn't have to use it at night, but really wonder what if it rains when I get back to the hotel at night. This second part is not really a complaint as each hotel has it's own design, and the cabinets in the rooms just happen to be with handles rather than a finger pull. Traveling as a family with a very active toddler, my daughter took a few knocks on the handles, but who can expect the hotel to baby proof their rooms right? We were overall very satisfied with our stay, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in a hotel within the shopping district in Bangkok.

Nevertheless, it’s a busy street in the morning and noon as many food pedlars selling their trade along the lane. The service is excellent – checking-in was smooth, the staff were friendly, attentive, accommodating, and helpful. They even gave a good suggestion to take the boat taxi to Pratunam instead of taking the taxi due to the heavy traffic in the vicinity. The pier is just walking distance from the hotel, it’s cheap, convenient and offers the fastest, traffic less journey. The design of the room is cool and modern and is designed for the convenience of its occupants. The bedding is clean and comfortable. I believe this hotel supply the best slippers in the room! It’s not the usual white colour, feather weight slippers that we normally get from hotels, but this one is a comfy and good quality one! However, I didn’t get to taste the food in its restaurant as I did not take it with breakfast package. I hope to stay in this hotel again when I come back to Bangkok for my next visit. With that being said, I do hope they will keep up with their excellent job in keeping the hotel in the same conditions in the years to come.

this is probably the best hotel i've ever stayed at. the staff was super friendly and accommodating, especially the front door people. the hotel is very luxurious and has a modern, beautiful design. the room and especially the bathroom is gorgeous, and they provide all necessary amenities. the food is excellent although a little pricey (but i guess that's to be expecte...this is probably the best hotel i've ever stayed at. the staff was super friendly and accommodating, especially the front door people. the hotel is very luxurious and has a modern, beautiful design. the room and especially the bathroom is gorgeous, and they provide all necessary amenities. the food is excellent although a little pricey (but i guess that's to be expected when you go to a five star hotel). didn't use the facilities because i only stayed one night but they seemed nice as well. the location was okay; there mostly just hotels around there and a few street food stalls as far as i could tell, but the siam shopping area and mbk is only two stops away on the bts (the bts station itself is less than a five minute walk from the hotel). definitely recommend staying at this hotel. only wish i had booked for more than one night so i could enjoy more of the hotel. will come back.

However if you are into night life, staying further down the Sukhumvit area will be a more convenient option. Then again, you can always take a taxi. The hotel is clean, fashionably designed, and provide good service. The buffet breakfast has a good variety. Clean and spacious pool, reasonably well equipped gym. The executive lounge is comfortable, snacks and drinks are pretty well replenished. Room is clean and well equipped. I stayed in an executive club room it was smaller than i thought. Still comfortable. The shower room is separated from the rest of the bedroom by 2 glass walls. You can draw down the curtains in the shower room. However the 2 curtains will not be able to fully cover 2 glass walls, you can still see into the shower room at the corner of the glass walls. Not a big issue but might be awkward for some people. The service is good overall. My requests are well responded. However when heading to airport, the concierge got me a taxi not going by meter. I only realized after I saw the meter was broken half my journey. I stayed in many hotels in Bangkok and all 5* hotels get me a taxi with meter, instead of expensive one this one that charged me 800 bahts to the hotel. I hope they will stop using cabs that do not go by meter for their customers. Overall it's a good hotel and will recommend to other travelers going to Bangkok.

We got a good deal from Agoda website including breakfast. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from either Chit Lom BTS station or Ratchadamri BTS Station. It is located inside a small lane so the hotel is peacefully quiet despite being right smack in the middle of the shopping district. The hotel operates a Tuk Tuk that ferry guest to the nearest BTS station from the hotel and the driver (an elderly gentleman) was extremely friendly and thoughtful. He always drop us at the BTS access that has the escalator! The rooms are big, bright, cheerful and clean. The bed is big and comfortable. You can ask for foam pillows if you find the feather pillows a bit too flat for your comfort. Shower water pressure is great (We got a room on the 10th Floor). The hotel also has a good pool and a good gym. The all-important wifi is free of charge in this hotel, both in the common areas and in the room. There is a large 7-11 shop behind the hotel. Ask the security guard at the hotel gate and he will direct you to walk through a car park to get there. The staff speaks good English and are helpful and friendly. We had a great stay. Will definitely stay there again next time.

Although LIT is situated near the shopping district, it is well located in a quiet corner. There are street hawkers right outside The LIT, and it is usually busy during office lunch hour. 7...If you are looking for a hotel that is near a BTS station, Siam Square and MBK shopping mall, then this is the hotel for you. Less than 2 year-old, The LIT hotel is relatively new. Although LIT is situated near the shopping district, it is well located in a quiet corner. There are street hawkers right outside The LIT, and it is usually busy during office lunch hour. 7-eleven is also a good 2 minutes walk from the hotel which is also next to BTS National Stadium station. The room is well maintained, the design of the hotel and room is remarkably impressive. Although our room is small, they have use mirrors to make the room looks spacious. There is a free in-house tuk tuk service from hotel to MBK shopping mall although it is only about 8 minutes walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The LIT, and we will definitely be back to this hotel in our next Bangkok holiday.

It is also next to a canal boat stop which will take you down toward Khaosan Road/Palace etc, or to eastern Bangkok.
