ts suites is the best of the best. i went there with my partner and we were so happy with room. we love the big bed. we stayed in premium executive and every dimes we spent are worth what i paid. i think the hotel is better than the 5 star chained hotel since those are so old but ts suites are very modern, looks nice and comfortable. however, the reason that i really like this hotel is a service mind that every single staffs in the hotel. we booked one more days becos we would liuek to extend our stay but the problem is we need to change the room from single bed to double bed which is so bad for a couple like us. finally, the staffs tried so hard to fix the room for us even the hotel rooms are so full and we finally can stay the same room and dont have any problem wth packing and change the room. overall i am so happy !!!! and i like the super low rate, it's affordable and good price for people same age as me

New Year has always been moment full of celebrations, due to the fact that not only people all around the world would be saying farewell to the old year & celebrating the new year; but because my parents' anniversary is on that special day. Everything arranged prior our New Year getaway. Made the booking via Agoda, I selected this hotel after a few reads of 5 star hotel choices. My priority was to get a hotel withing the city center, walking distance to shopping malls and some of tourist destinations, with bigger sizes of rooms in a cultural and nature surrounded hotel environment. Bumi Surabaya City Resort has it all. It was a smooth & fast check in even with the NY's eve hectic-ness at the front office. I arranged prior to our arrival, a surprise anniversary arrangement for my parents with a hotel team, kindly confirmed my special requests. Then during our check in, I discreetly reconfirmed my request to the hotel AsFoM, who made every detail of my plan come true later that night. The rooms are spacious with King size beds where linen comforters really feel silky against your skin when you rest at night. AC is with the right temperature at your finger tips, and wifi connectivity at no faulty. Bathrooms are large and bright. Big mirrors,separate bathtubs and shower area. Bath amenities are not too bad. F&B, well this is also the important part of a hotel service... and the F&B team did a great job! So, if you are looking for a place to spend your holiday with assurance, this hotel could meet your expectation. Just don't forget to let them how they could help you make your stay fabulous :) Special recognition and thanks to those I mentioned above, and for the rest of the hotel staff who made our stay memorable and truly SPECIAL.

I was having a great stay here. The hotel is cheap for a 4stars hotel, staffs are very kind and friendly, and also the bedroom is large enough and have awesome view. I came to the hotel on 10 am and we didn't have another destination until 2 pm. So we only took a seat at the hotel lobby. Lucky me, on 11 am, the hotel staff opened a room for me! They said it was empty and ready to use, so we can really early checked-in and take some rest. 😍 Just one disappointment, I booked a non-smoking room in agoda. I also write on special request column for 'non smoking room' in agoda app. But they about gave me a smoking room. Thought we should talk personally to the hotel staff, I request again for a non-smoking room, and the staff gave me a non-smoking room. However, we still got a non-smoking room with the smell of cigarettes. I am pregnant and I avoid strange smells for my baby's health. Maybe the hotel staffs could take an extra time to clean the room, especially the cigarettes smell, so another visitors can get the right room. Little notes from me to another visitor to be : if you want to get into this hotel via taxi or online taxi, just ask them to bring you to 'Somerset hotel'. They will confused if you say Verwood hotel, for former hotel's name was Somerset, and the hotel changes its name just on July 2017. Hope it will be helpful 😍

Excellent is all areas that I would like. Room is not grandeur like a 5 star but good amenities for room and very clean with plenty of towel supplies. Entry at lobby to check-in at reception to room service to breakfast to check-out and even assistance at lobby for my own transport was excellent! Of particular interest were the service from the hotel staff; something is very good abt their training! All had that genuine greeting and smile. Staff at breakfast were attentive to needs like giving serviettes and toothpicks and saw another table where young male staff helped a mother with baby chair and an unsettling baby and he played with baby and helped mother to settle baby in! Breakfast was excellent and the eggs were done and presented very excellently! I give this 6 start! Room service food came warm (unlike many 5 star hotels) and well covered. Food was excellent although not taken directly from restaurant. Will definitely return!

this is one of the best hotel i stayed in surabaya so far. the executve deluxe room is great. this hotel has an outdoor rooftop bar that guests can see the nightview of surabaya. this is fantastic and i also enjoyed the morning view when having breakfast on 21st floor. the room was higher than my expectations and it was huge! tv in living area and bedroom. i love the food at ah yat abalone restaurant within the hotel also. i had stayed in international 5 star hotels before in surabaya and this hotel far exceeds my expectations and furthermore, its proximity to the highway is well-suited for business travellers like myself. will stay here again and will recommend to other visitors to surabaya on business trips for sure.

We heard about the Garden Palace Hotel was newly renovated and we decided to stay there for meeting up with our clients. We chose it, mainly because of the location. But we got more than what we wished for. This is one of the best renovated hotel. The management is really serious in making a make over for the new Garden Palace Hotel. We have the experience of 4 star hotel with a budget price hotel. We love everything in the hotel, from the staff attitude to the wide range of buffet. And of course, our customers love to visit us, since the location is really in the central, which make them easier to reach. However, the parking space is not sufficient enough, according to our clients.

It was a wonderful stay from day 1. The staff were very helpful and the hotel is updated with a smart tv with a personalization for the guests which makes me feel so pampered! :) The room was huge and the wifi was good. the security in the hotel was also quite tight because you needed a card that only goes to your room level which was nice! however, everything was great until the day of check out. we had an early flight and we asked the staff to give us a wake up call in case our alarms did not work, and it did not but the staff only called us 1hr 40 mins later than the agreed time and it was just to confirm that we had booked a taxi 40 mins ago. we were lucky that we had already packed and because it was early morning and we went via the toll route, it took only 20 mins to the airport and because of our driver we did not miss our flight! i would still recommend this hotel because its location at taman bungkul is awesome, with access to good food just a mere 2 mins walk away. the service staff had all been very helpful prior to the day of check out and i believe everyone would enjoy the facilities provided! there is also wide variety of channels provided for the guests and a free minibar for consumption! :)

The Hotel Ciputra World Surabaya was above my expectation. Everything in the hotel is above average and in fact even the rest rooms as a "wow" factor. Everyone was very friendly from the honest security guards to the hotel General Manager Ms Christiane Wasfy who was herself very outstanding after meeting her personally during her rounds in the hotel. The hotel is in tip top condition with big room and very luxurious with nice bed to rest. We had a magnificent spread of local and international foods for breakfast. The hotel also have a great view of Surabaya city at the 22nd floor of their rooftop swimming pool and health spa. Ciputra World mall is one of the best malls in Surabaya with very good shop and wonderful restaurants to chose from that made me loose my diet. The only lacking is hospitality during check-in is missing and check-in can be improved and personalised like other five star status hotel because guest appreciate after their long travel to be greeted well with a welcome drink. The choice of choosing Hotel Ciputra World was the correct one for us and is on the top of the list to stay in Surabaya for the future return visit. When you book into a Shangri la property you expect quality and this one in Surabaya lives up to the brand. I stayed for one night only and did not have enough time to experience all the hotel has to offer. It is truly a 5 star hotel with several restaurants, huge pool and large spa with sauna steam and jacuzzi. The Gym was impressive as well. The room is well appointed and comfortable. Staff was friendly and well trained. What impressed me most is the free wireless which is available all around the whole hotel and best of all not need to log on again in different places. It has a free shuttle to the mall nearby but the frequency seems a bit limited given the short distance. All in all a very good option when in Surabaya especially if you need to be west side of the city.

This is a very old Hotel but the staffs are all polite & very friendly. Chantika (The receptionist) upgraded our room when she found out we were travelling with a 5 yrs youngling and made us a member of Marriott Bonvoy so our daughter can have a free breakfast. Due to Tika initiative - making us a member of the Marriott Bonvoy - we cancelled our hotel in Jakarta and booked JW Marriott instead. Unfortunately the service in Marriott Jakarta wasn't as great as in Sheraton. Muhlis the bell boy, he was very friendly and caring to youngling. Our daughter was impressed and asked us " why do people in Surabaya so polite & friendly?" - this is our first trip to Surabaya and Sheraton made us comfortable during our stay. Our daugther did not want to part with the hotel. I am giving 12 stars out of 10 for Sheraton Surabaya and definately will stay in there when we visit surabaya next time. Big Swimming Pool, Connected to Tunjungan Plaza, Amazing Breakfast - Great Hotel

This one of the best value for money hotel I have stayed in Surabaya. The staff is so friendly, I have requested a quiet room and the hotel gave me the 9th floor and I wasn't disappointed, it was not only quiet but had a great view of the city. There was so many eating places just outside the hotel and in the evening there were rows of warungs just behind the hotel. This hotel is in between two huge shopping centre which is 10 - 15 mins of walking distance. The bed and room was clean, the bathroom was clean daily, there was hot shower 24hrs, toothbrush and 2 bottles of water was given daily. There is a kettle with tea and coffee replenish daily. A welcome drink was given when you check-in. I was impressed with the breakfast as compared to other 3 stars hotel, MaxOne serve a very god breakfast, there was fried noodles, fried rice, plain rice, vegetables meat, bread, Jam, butter(you can toast your bread), there is milk and cereal. There is porridge, pudding, fruits, coffee and tea.

A five star hotel is basically not just the number of rooms and the high end facilities provided for guests. The most important is the the personal touch provided by the amazing, friendly and helpful staffs. Not many 5 star hotels offer this and focus on making money only. What i experienced at Wyndham Surabaya was the capability and the excellent service rendered by the staffs. I would say, they went the extra mile to make my stay a pleasant one!

Upon arrival at hotel was early ie 11am than the check in time set by hotel. The reception staff help me in getting the 2 rooms ready rather than i need to wait at 2pm. It is fast n superb job by them. The morning food buffet is great n a lot of choices. Overall i'm happy n enjoyed throughout our stayed at the Swiss Belinn Tunjungan.. GOOD JOB N KEEP THE BEST SERVICE. Will look forward to come again to Surabaya n stay at the hotel

I selected Hotel Tunjungan due to location. That is its best feature. After reserving the room I read so many negative reviews I almost cancelled, but I am glad that I did not. In contrast to many others, I found the dining superior to other hotels in which I have stayed in Indonesia. I did not find it necessary to ask for any items I thought missing. Wi-fi is a problem, country-wide. I found problems with connectivity, took my laptop and android phone to the front desk, and the problems were resolved. Inconvenient, yes, but functional. The hotel is old; the elevator operation takes some getting used to, again, I asked and received help from the staff. Any problems I encountered were overcome with minimal inconvenience and all such problems were minimal when compared to the benefits of location.

The hotel is new, so as expected it's clean and smells good. It's close to a shopping mall (Around 10 min walk) and not far from the city centre. There was free WiFi, although the signal was weak from my room, but it wasn't too bad. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was a little small, but clean. Overall, the hotel was nice and cosy and great value for money, but don't expect too much from it. After all, it's a 4 star hotel (3 stars for my standards), with an affordable price. I would go there again, but I recently found out that Ibis Hotel, not far from Crown Prince Hotel is better and cheaper.

Hotel condition are clean, modern and minimalist interior, bright lighting at lobby, aisle, room and bathroom, also no carpet inside room so less dust - it's helpfull for people having allergethic. Harris Hotel, became our favourite 4 stars hotel at our destination cities. At least we have stayed at Harris Hotel at Bali Kuta, Jakarta, Bandung (2 locations) and Surabaya.

One of the best stay I've experienced. Noticed this hotel when I was looking for the tourism spot in Surabaya. It was mentioned one of the historical building is now became a hotel. Checked the info and highly intrigued. I was mesmerized by the history of this hotel and how it is preserved. The structure is still the same as maybe 100 years ago. It is amazing how they preserved all the beautiful details and nuance. The beautiful garden in inside is beautifully maintained and can be enjoyed from the balcony. All the staffs were nice and helpful. I took the Heritage hotel tour and got the opportunity to peek the 2 storey Presidential Suite. Will definitely come back to this hotel when I visit Surabaya in the future so I can enjoy all the facilities and comfort. Staying in this hotel is not just a stay. It is an experience and exploration to the reminiscence of the past and history. Indonesia needs more historical hotel like this

It's a 3 stars hotel but u wont feel it is. It's more than that!! Awesome service, modern design, and a strategic location makes it pop out of the rest. The breakfast is great too!! It's definitely the best hotel with this price range. Do check it out!! Anyway, the wifi speed and stability still needed to be improved. Definitely will stay here again on my next visit to Surabaya. =D

The Grand Hotel Surabaya is one of those hotel from days gone by. Some may call it kitschy, gaudy trying to display "faux grandeur" but we absolutely it. Our room was unfortunately near the main road and the beeping sound from the pedestrian crossing woke us up a few times in the middle of the night. Staff were helpful and friendly despite our broken bahasa indonesia. Also note that every room is a smoking room.

The building is new. Clean. The design is not as I expected since the hotel have "Marriott" name on its title. The design is more like for 3 star hotel. Not sophisticated at all. Bad garbage smell in the basement in the parking lot. I asked to borrow an iron, but they said they didnt have enough. And I booked for the next day to make sure I get the iron, after I complained then they got it for me. I understand it is not five star hotel which they always have iron and iron board in room. But at least they should have more for guests to use. And the service is slow. The staff seems working slowly, especially in reception area. And they always have only one receptionist and make the guests keep waiting. Breakfast is bad. Everything's cold. I prefer have my breakfast outside.

The hotel is right above supermarket (might be hard to find parking). Surrounding the hotel there are plenty of restaurant (MCD right beside hotel). Around 20 mins from the train station by car and 10 mins to Galaxy mall. The room is not too big but still ok to move around with luggage. The bathroom design is a bit silly, so the water will splash outside the shower alot. Abit of stain here and there but still understandable. The hotel room floor is made of tiles so the room we got was a bit dusty. Our room location wasn't the best either. We got the room behind the breakfast area so it tend to be noisy in the morning. There wasn't any swimming pool or any facilities, its a pretty straight forward hotel with good price in good location

I really loves with this hotels.. the room and bed so comfy. But i was disappointed with the breakfast which is the description say open from 7 - 10 am but when i come at 8 am all the breakfast that i saw is empty! And the staff refill it so bit. So it's really wasting time and the price is 50k i just got a piece of bread, 1 tea, and it's really sad when i only eat a half white rice and a half fried rice.. can u imagine it's silly.. i never want to try the breakfast again next time.. but overall is ok and i love the room

Great hotel with great choice of Japanese & Chinese Restaurants & a great cafe / bar . I stayed in Hotel for 7 nights & have not found friendlier / helpful staff anywhere in the world. All the staff greeted you with a smile & just couldnt do enough for you. I have stayed in many hotels around the world & would rate this stay as the BEST. It all has to do with service with a smile . I got the 5 star service. I spent everyday at the pool & whilst no one usually there it was spotlessly clean & very relaxing. Special mention must be made to the Manager & staff of the Cafe / Bar. I spent every night at the Bar ( Happy Hour 5-7pm ) & the staff just couldnt do enough for you. One thing I did like is that I got recommendations for restaurants in Surabaya , shopping & massage spas etc. All were great & the food was so good at two recommended restaurants that I returned to eat there a second time. All staff did promote the 2 restaurants in the hotel. If ever in Surabaya again I would not stay any where else & would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends / colleagues. Take a bow Mecure Surabaya you make the service in hotels in my home country look second rate.

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at Swiss-Belinn Surabaya! This was our first time to try this hotel and we absolutely loved it. In fact, I'm planning to book my stay in Jakarta at Swiss-Belinn. The location is fantastic with so many great restaurants along the street...All within walking distance. Oh and they are very serious about the interior design of the hotel! So elegant! The only issue I had with my stay was noise from upstairs. I guess the ceiling is slightly thin or not so sound proof as I could quite clearly hear dragging of chairs and people's voices. But it wasn't to a bothering level. All in all, Swiss-Belinn is best bang for the buck hotel!
