i booked into this hotel after 3 months of travelling as a treat to myself...and what a treat it was!! had my own suite, complete with balcony, kitchen, lounge area, tv, gorgeous shower!! i spent the days by the beautiful pool and wandered down to the local restaurants in the evening. the staff were really lovely and as i was a lone traveller engaged in conversations with me about my travels and if i needed any help booking hotels for further on in my journey!! i would definatly recommend this hotel for people arriving into koh samui airport after a long flight, it is a 10 minute journey from the airport and is the perfect place to recuperate and relax!!!

my husband and i stayed at samui honey cottages for a week mid feb, attending a friends wedding during our stay in their private rented villa on another area of koh samui. because there were a lot of guest we saw quite a few different accommodations and privately felt the brue on the beach, beach front deluxe room we had was the best for us. it was relaxing but close to everything, and even though we were so close to the beach it wasn't noisy at night. yes it was on the aged side, but when your in tropical paradise you don't spend much time inside the room anyway. to walk straight out our door and within a few steps you can have a cocktail, massage and a swim in the beautiful waters what more can you want. bottled water, fresh towels, beach towels and linen was delivered and the room cleaned very well everyday. the reception staff was very helpful and friendly, but you weren't bothered and allowed to relax and enjoy. the bar and restaurant was good to eat at and have a chilled out drink. we didn't use the pool because the beach was so nice. we have traveled extensively and found the best policy is to find a cheaper accommodation and stay in the best room, other than more expensive and mediocre room...the first option is always going to get you in the best position and room over both.

We booked this hotel despite it not having any reviews as we thought it was brand new and discounted to get new clients. When we arrived, however, the hotel was being extensively renovated and as we had paid a non-refundable deposit we felt we had no other choice but to continue with our booking. We were assured that the renovations were only in the foyer and restaurant/bar area and that our stay in our room would be ok and they would provide an in-room breakfast. The first few days were ok just, but then the drilling and hammering started and workman walking past the pool as we were swimming and we said enough was enough so we complained. Local staff was trying hard to help but head office seems to not give them much authority. After complaining to Agoda the hotel agreed to refund 4 of our 5 nights and we stayed there for 3, so they did try to correct the issues and Agoda was great. We are sure when it is finished this will be a great boutique hotel. Well located, lovely rooms, modern fixtures, good internet and the final renovated bar/restaurant will have a great view over the water with a sunset view, but until it is fully finished please be careful. Also, very close to the end of the airport runway! We liked planes so we were ok with it but they are very noisy from 6 am to 10 pm but flights are intermittent.

The Chongmoen area is one of the local hideaways no yet overrun by mass tourism, with its secluded bays, quiet back roads and breaking surf on huge granite rocks. Chongmoen beach is a quiet area in the north east of Samui Island. Close to the airport, Fishermans Village and the Big Buddha and a 20-minute drive to nightlife centre of Chaweng. Choengmon Beach Hotel is a nice balance between price and comfort. Its has wonderful friendly staff ready to help with any query, the beach bar is great and the surf is very calm, sutable for families. Chongmoen's slow pace is a welcome contrast to other parts of the island.

Spent 4 full days at Kirati Beach Resort. Stayed in the newly constructed building set a bit further back from the beach (the bungalows also looked nice and were closer to the ocean). The room was spacious, clean, had a small safe in the room and a small refrigerator. Only downside of the room was there were no screens on the balcony door so couldn't keep it open and had to use the AC. The staff were very nice and helpful. They rent out motorbikes day for used or day new. The food at the restaurant was very good as well but a bit overpriced - however, I could say that for all of the restaurants on the beach. The high tide comes all the way up to the steps of the beach restaurant at Kirati and there isn't much beach in front when the tide is out (mostly rocks). However, just a few meters down and you'll find plenty of sand and lounge chairs. There were a lot of families with children on the beach when I was there and the beach had a nice laid-back feel to it. If you travel by boat to Samui island it is cheaper to book a seat on the shuttle van as opposed to having the hotel pick you up for 650baht one-way from the pier. Over all, it was a very pleasant place and would go back again.

Located at what we think is the best beach in Koh Samui the "Boat house" had everything we wished for. Our room was second story, large, well equipped with Kingsize bed, plenty of cupboards and shelves, large bathroon with great shower,a big balcony with two sun loungers. The decor was maybe a bit tired but we much prefer good facilities to the latest decor and poorer space. Complementary for guest use was an good fitness center, two sparkling swimming pools, beach towels, pool table, table tennis, kayaks, wind surfer,library, internet and daily papers in English. The breakfast was excellent in variety and presentation. The beach dining room stunningly located and serving a good food selection. We preferred to eat our evening meal at one of the numerous small restaurants down the main street. Choeng Mon beach was great for swimming,- safe, warm and not too crowded.It would be wonderful for young children. We had a great two weeks and look dforward to returning again next year

This is not a 3 star hotel the description is false. We had a room facing the pool top floor the sea view is through the filthy window in the bathroom which has no blinds so the neighbors can see you. The room was a sweat box and the air con was useless and noisy which kept us awake The shower does not work at the pool neither does the jacuzzi Booked for 2 nights checked out after one Complete dump there are much better rooms nearby for not a lot more money

We stayed 1 night when we flew into Koh Samui beofe taking the ferry to Koh Toa. We were impressed. Do not take a taxi from the airport.. it was 200baht each for the taxi and it is a 5 minute walk. Get a map at the airport or pre-print one and walk! The ferry was a 1 minute walk. The hotel is new and clean. The rooms were large and comfortable. Best shower in thailand!!! Bed was comfortable, I found it maybe a little stiff but my wife loved it. By thia satandards I would say it was a great bed. In room coffee... made my morning even if it is powdered. Balcony was nice as well, relaxing to people watch. Noise wasnt bad, I was worried by its location but the concrete walls and solid balcony door did a great job. The only downside to this place was that the room is dark. There is a bathroom light, enterance light, and way down by the balcony a light. All recessed single bulb. In the main area you had to adjust your eyes to see. But that being said, I would call that a minor issue.
