"Stayed here for a second time, and it still is for me the best in Chiang Rai. It is centrally located, rooms are clean and well maintained. The only downside I experienced was, we arrived early in the day, but we weren't allowed check-in until about 1PM. They kept telling us that because we booked thru Agoda, check-in time is strictly 2PM. Nothing really bad because that's what it says on print. They allowed to keep our luggage so we can go around town. But, it would have been a nice touch if we were allowed to check-in earlier, the hotel wasn't really fully booked because it's off season for travel now. I wonder, if we booked through the B2 app, would we have been allowed to check-in earlier? Perhaps... In summary though, the value for money is really way above board, especially because we got a discounted price. Will definitely stay again here next time I'm in Chiang Rai."

"I love this hotel and would recommend others to stay here if you want to visit Chaingrai. the hotel is in the center. you can find local food with great taste just few minutes walk to the clock circle near by hotel. staff are very helpful and friendly. there is no lift for 3 stories hotel. you need to walk up. for young and not so old people is very good exercise. Morning breakfast surprise that all vegetarian people and survive. it's not so high class but you will find everything that necessary for sufficient life here. no regret. to travel in chaingrai you shall contact taxi from local people. i would say that it's one of attractive province in Thailand that you should pay a visiting one time. you can walk to the walking street. it's smaller if compare with chaingmai. but you shall shop something that you are looking for walking street theme in thailand.q"

"The hotel itself is ageing but is well maintained and very clean. Location is very good, a few minutes walk to the night bazaar. I stayed four nights in a deluxe room on the 3rd floor. The room was average size with wood floor, very comfy bed, fridge, wardrobe, kettle, desk, sitting chairs, end tables, and old style TV with one English channel. No room safe. Very few electrical outlets. Large window with city view and some street noise during the day. Bathroom was very small but clean and functional. AC was old style but not noisy. Carpeted hallways and thick walls, which means quiet rooms! Breakfast room was huge but barely big enough to accommodate all the guests. Omelettes, fried eggs, cereal, rice, soups, a few steamed veggie dishes, an assortment of wieners, Thai style and western style coffee and tea, juice, some fruit. Door men, front desk clerks, and housekeepers were exceptionally friendly. I was pleased with my stay here and would return for a future visit."

"Set in a quiet side street, but still close to all the bars and restaurants. The place is immaculately clean. Best hostel bathrooms I've ever seen! Do it yourself laundry available. Nice sun deck. The beds are comfortable and have real bedding. Social atmosphere, but all noise cuts off at ten, sharp. These people got it right, my new go to place in Chiang Rai!"

"Pros : Location: Inside the city center, short walk to the Chiang Rai Night Bazaar. The Saturday Night Market and the Sunday Happy Street Walking Street is within easy reach. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. Warm welcome from everyone. Room was smaller than I'm used to however its clean, bathroom and shower worked well with hot water and water pressure was good. In room Wifi was fast. Breakfast Buffet: Great selection of local Thai dishes and Western food options. Very delicious. Great value for your money. Overall experience was very positive and will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended."

"Greatest thing was Suvanna, the manager. She was extremely warm, friendly and helpful. I also really appreciated her English speaking skills. 2nd best was the pool that is long enough for laps. Poolside furniture was not very good. My room was very clean but the cleaner they use is toxic. I only let them clean my room once because the smell lingered for days. Breakfast buffet same everyday, mostly asia. Pancakes, French toast, peanut butter occasionally would have been nice. All in all, little pricey but nice place to stay."

"This hotel has been one of the highlights of my travels around Asia. Set on a quiet road about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Chiang Rai, the fairly ordinary entrance road does not prepare you for what waits at reception and beyond. Once checked in the friendly staff guide you through a tropical paradise of plants and trees to one of the spacious and well equipped bungalows. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent as this is one of the prices you pay for staying in the centre of so much greenery. Reception staff are friendly and helpful although two of my few criticisms of the resort are that a) Their airport transfer is overpriced by about 200 baht (I booked through the tour place across road) and b) some of their tours are also more expensive than walking across road - plus there do not seem a lot of options for the solo traveller. But these are both small, easily remedied criticisms. The attached restaurant bar provides breakfast in the morning and drinks and meals at night; remember to get your daily 10% discount coupon and remember the 3 for 2 happy hours too. The restaurant have both friendly staff and some amazing food. Try the Kao Soi Gai - a new dish for me and now one of my all time Thai favourites! The breakfast buffet was perhaps the best I have experienced with a wide range of Thai and Western choices. Also easy to get a tuk tuk up to the night market (should be about 50 baht each way) All in all, the LaLuna is a gem in Chiang Rai and is most definitely on the 'must return' list!"

"Not a bad place for the money, actually quite good when you consider it comes with breakfast where you you help yourself. The room is clean and large but not that modern, but the bed was great and the bathroom is the best ive ever seen in a hotel, extra large qreat layout looks like a new bathroom of a large apartment here in Melbourne Australia, no real different. This place is tucked away in all these back streets that have Karioke at night and the hotel itself is spread out on maybe 5 acres its not built up like a tall building kind of like a school with seperate buildings around campus, with a family or few people its quite nice, you would feel safe here and you have a restuarant, only a few people speak good english though, sometimes its easier just to walk down and point what you want rather then talk on phone. Not that many Taxi's in Chiang Rai compared to Bangkok usually have to phone one here rather then wait on road, Airport "
