"We stayed overnight at Pemandangan Laut Villa so that we could be close to Serangan Harbour to catch a fast boat to the Gili islands in the morning. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very accomodating and friendly. The resort is a little way out from the main Sanur shopping and eating area, so this was the only downfall. Also, the pool and building, although clean, are aging. "

"We originally booked 3 nights in a standard Lamai villa but enjoyed our time there so much that we extended for 2 more nights and then booked a further 3 nights in one of the Lanai villas with its own pool. The villas have a lovely character, with a beautiful bathroom (loved the sunken bath) and a very comfortable king bed. The best thing is the sense of privacy and tranquility - you feel as though you're away from everything and everyone, as you don't share walls with other guests and don't have any windows that look out into public areas etc. Each villa has it's own little private outdoor area which is really nice. I also really liked the main pool area, which we had to ourselves more often than not. The staff were all lovely and very accommodating. It's a bit of a hike into the centre of Sanur, but there's a free shuttle bus service that will run any time you like and you can also hire bicycles from reception (they'll also arrange scooter hire if you prefer). All up, this would have to be very close to the top of my list of favourite places that I've stayed. Already looking forward to coming back!"

"We had a wonderful time staying at the Bali Bubble. The rooms were amazing. They were large, clean and fresh with free WiFi. All the power points had USB ports and international plugs so you don't even need a travel adaptor. They had free water dispensers, a fridge, microwave and even electric fry pans for cooking. Great if you have kids travelling with you. They have a free shuttle into Sanur so you don't even have to catch a taxi and it is close to the beach. If you don't like the beach the pool is the place to be. Its a great size and the perfect temperature. But the best of all were the staff. They were so attentive and friendly and would do anything for you. They cooked us a free delicious breakfast every day and made us feel really special. We will come back here again."

"Just lovely, a great combination of privacy in my room and spacious open plan communal & chill out areas, wonderful pool and the hardworking staff were incredibly helpful and thoughtful, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. I felt at home while enjoying a very luxurious, beautiful environment. My private outdoor bathroom was divine! The location was good - short walk through jungle to beach or along the Mertasari Beach access road, close to cheap delicious warungs, shops and spa services, but nicely separate from the hustle and bustle. Desa and Dewa in particular were so thoughtful and really made my whole holiday a special experience. I wished I'd booked my whole stay here, and will definitely be back."

"I stayed at the Puri Mesari for one week in July as a solo traveller 22yr old woman. The hotel is a little out of the main Sanur area but you can rent scooters or bikes and it is 10 walk from the main beach. The staff are incredibly accommodating. At one point I needed a plaster for a cut and one of the staff told me he would be back shortly, jumped on a bike and cycled to the shop to buy me a pack. Service was excellent at every moment and incredibly friendly. The rooms are cleaned usually between 9am and 12pm and are left spotless without feeling like your belongings have been moved about. The ground floor rooms have outside bathrooms and one night I had a surprise visitor as a lizard jumped in my hot bath before I got in. It was more funny than anything else. I was a little concerne about being solo but not once was I worried about my safety. The staff will even give you a lift to restaurants or bars if you ask. I appreciated that the staff have an incredibly honouring and pleasant approach to guests, accomodating every need but are not overbearing in the slightest. The hotel was in the high season but even then the pool was never crowded and was just the right size. Despite only having a few sun loungers I never had trouble getting one. The food is great and hotel room service is cheap. I spent most time out of the hotel and the hotel offers packages for tours across the island. The drivers were friendly and professional. The beds are extremely comfy. I could not have been happier with my choice of hotel on this trip. "
