This hotel never failed me.. I went here over & over when i visitting singapore.. The location is gold, on the centre of singapore shopping area, just in between somerset mrt & orchard mrt (btw somerset is nearer than orchard).. The room is very new for an "aged" hotel, the design is classic & elegant, resembling the 5 stars it has.. The facility is amazing : free unlimited high speed wifi in all rooms & all hotel areas, great linen & sheets, great shower room & bathroom, nice fitness centre (although its quite far from our room, its on main building highest floor in one of the mulfi function room i think).. And the have the best hainan chicken rice in singapore (yes it is) in their chatterbox restaurant.. And the hotel is located on top of 4 storey mall , inside are restaurants, cafes, salons, boutiques, stores, etc.. The one i think need to improve is the breakfast & restaurants & cafe staff, since it a bit need improvement in how to talk to customers, and how to behave like 5-stars staff, not a 3 or 4 stars one.. But overall, once again we always have pleasure when we stayed here, and definitely will comeback again next time we visit singapore

Well, I don't expect much when I book this hotel but after staying for 3 nights my opinion was changed. The hotel located near many shopping centre. As I entered the hotel lobby, the lobby looks modern and futuristic. You can self check-in with computers on the lobby. However, I stayed during peak season so only one room available at that time and I have to wait 1 hour until the other rooms are cleaned. The lobby were so busy all the time especially during check out and check in time. After check in, i went to the room. The room is small but it is well designed, clean and comfortable. The bed is reclining bed so you can sit and watch tv. TV has many channels and HD clean. The breakfast were average. Mostly western food with egg station available. Free great coffee from coffee machine too! The staff were great and helpful too, they speak english very well, quite friendly and definitely helpful! After everything, I would highly recommend Yotel Singapore. It was great experience.

Everything was great, this is my 4th time staying in this hotel, food, staffs, room and services were fantastic. One great thing I must say is the complimentary internet access !!!!wow, last threes time I stayed, I must pay for the internet which was ridiculous, but this time there is free internet access, this is great, make the hotel more approachable by all biz people like me But this time round I don't know what happened to the hotel or what, I arrived com the airport at 12pm, the staffs told me ' sorry mam, your room is not ready yet, please come back in one hour time' I mean yeah it's fine, one hour is okay, so I left my back at the counter and went for lunch and shopped for a while, I came back at 330pm, they said again my room wasn't ready yet, I was really patient, so I waited a bit longer, reached to 4pm and I was pissed off!! This is ridiculous, I booked the hotel before I arrived, so what's the point of booking if I can't get the room instantly when I arrive ??? And 4hour since I arrived and I had yet gotten my rooms was completely unacceptable!!! And my parents were with me, i wanted them to rest Still York hotel is my favorite hotel, i would still recommend to my friends, but please next time do it right for the guest check in or else you will definitely lose your customers to the Elizabeth hotel and the Quincy nearby

This hotel is in the best location if you want to be near Orchard Road. It was right in the middle of orchard road but slightly further back so its away from the noisy busy streets of orchard road. Right in front of the hotel is a great little side street which is open all day and all night serving fresh seafood, satay skewers, hainan chicken rice and a lot of other yummy things for a cheap price. The hotel was very clean, and our room was perfect. we were on the top floor so the room was very quiet. the hotel lobby staff were amazing also. We had the best stay there and would definately stay again.

Stayed here for 6 nights over Christmas. I'd read numerous complaints about the noise and entrance off the street for pedestrians, but it's not as bad as they say. If a quiet room is what you would like, then request it when you make your booking, or e-mail the hotel directly. I did as I'm a light sleeper, and they were more than happy to make sure my needs were met. As for pedestrians entering off the street, yes, you have to walk either through the rear "alley" through what looks more like a service entrance, or through the shopping mall, passing some massage parlors, karaoke and bar outlets, but everyone is quite discreet and friendly. For some, it'll probably take a little getting used to though. Just smile and head straight for the lifts and you'll be just fine. I chose this hotel only because of the excellent rate I got off Agoda, as all the others were going for outrageously hiked prices. My particular room was likely not one of the ones recently renovated, so may be a bit dated, but still very spacious, comfortable, and very quiet. The pool was nice and practical, a nice place to just lay out in the sun and relax. Poolside food and drinks service were good. Gym is a good size although the equipment's getting a bit old and rusty. Nevertheless, one can still get a good workout. Overall a good hotel to stay at because of its location and rate. If restaurant food prices along Orchard Rd. are a concern, then I discovered a food court over at the Singtel building (just a stones throw away) that has a pretty good variety of really cheap food!...but is open at lunch times only.....where else near Orchard Rd. can you get a bowl of noodles for under S$2.50?! I also discovered a nice comfortable place to sit with absolutely free WiFi, where you don't need to sign up for anything....at the newly opened Mandarin Gallery. Not sure if it's going to remain free forever though. I would definitely stay here again only if I geta great deal on the rates.

Stayed twice in March, while on route to china, both times I enjoyed the Hotels great location within walking distance of all the mayor shopping centres on Orchard road, pleanty of restaurants & bars nearby - but you don't have to go that far, the breakfast buffet at the Royal Plaza is one of the best I have ever seen in a Hotel. The second time around I arrived about dinner time & decided to try the dinner bufet at the carousell restaurant - brilliant, could not fault it for variety, freshness and quality, as well as selection - good price for singapore too. I have stayed several times in this Hotel over the past 3 years, and frankly I don't even look around for other Hoels any more for future stays I will just book the Royal Plaza.

Location was excellent, nearby the shopping centres in orchard road, around less than 5minutes walk. Quiet and charming hotel. Fast and easy check in and out process. Room service was fast. Staffs were polite and one of them had the initiative to ask if we are muslims and explain to us that the hotel has a non halal kitchen thus take note our special request when preparing our breakfast. Excellent attitude and helpful to assist us whenever we have doubts or needed help. Disavantages were the incomplete toiletries ie no toothbrush or comb or razor, and it would be better if our breakfast were served with food warmer as we did not eat our breakfast till much later and by then food was beginning to get cold. Other that that, the rest were excellent. Ps you haf to try their durian crepes, they were the best.

We stayed for 3 nights here. The location is very nice. Its 5mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station near Plaza Singapora. It has 7-11 shops available near by so u can get your break fast/snack anytime while on your way out or back to hotel. It has a neat swimming pool on roof top accessible by lift 1 only with an outstanding view of the vicinity. Recommend a panoramic photo from there. Hotel has two entrances, the other one opens towards the main Orchard Road, where you can find a number of malls like Orchard Point, Orchard Central, Ngee Ann city center, 313 Somerset, Apple Store. This road has multiple bus stops. Get yourself a 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited trips to MRT & Public busses. Both have a/c so thats a relieve in 35C temp during the day. The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. Use mini bus to reach your hotel. It will cost you $SGD 9 per person with a travel time of 25-30mins. Booking stand is location at last level. They charge credit card and d

its a wonderful hotel and highly recommended for families with kids. centrally located and very convenient to orchard road through the link bridge to paragon shopping centre. super easy to access through the pool area on the 4th floor. estimated 1-2mins walk time to paragon through covered walkway, so no worries abt rain or kids crossing the road. super easy to maneuvre with kids tagging. we stayed in a 1 bedroom unit, super spacious with good kitchenette facilities, washing machine, dishwasher, cooker and 2 tv. wifi was superb, very strong reception and we connected the wifi to 4 smartphones with no disruption. good water pressure for the showers. all in all... a highly recommended location in orchard for families who are looking for extra space.

Had a weekend stay and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel and the room. Internet coverage and access was good and food in their mezza9 restaurant was of superb quality and taste! Hotel is located just outside of the main Orchard Road area making it less crowded and noisy. It took less than 5 mins to walk to the beginning of the Orchard Road belt where all the shopping centres and boutiques are located. Staff were friendly and warm upon check in and check out. They genuinely made me feel welcome. Truly a 5 star hotel as they claim it to be!

Our 4 nights stay with Orchard Hotel was great. We stayed at 2x Superior rooms as our boys stayed on the other room. The rooms were very clean and the beds were really cozy and comfortable to sleep in. The cleaner as we requested cleaned our rooms almost everyday. When we arrived the friendly Filipina staff, Mel checked us in and we requested that our 2 rooms be right next to each other. We got the requested rooms thanks to Mel. The following day I inquired with the Hotel's tour desk and we booked for our Sentosa, Night Safari and the Cheng Ho Dinner Cruise. On the times that we were not joining the local tours, we've been walking from our hotel down to Orchard Road. We basically entered most of the buildings and had been in and out of all the boutiques and high end shops. Gosh!!!! My leg hurts but it was a good excercise. During weekends we could see lot of Filipinos around Orchard Road. We tried taking the MRT experience going to Clark Quay to eat a crabby lunch at Jumbo Restaurant and then after a big meal we walked to Chinatown. The hotel's location was great. We just have to walk towards the road to start our trail going down to Orchard Road. On our last day we tried having lunch at the 2nd level Chinese Rest. They have a good selection of food there. Yum-cha's good too. Downstairs at the Cafe they have a very nice buffet lunch and dinner. I just looked on the food selections and they were nice too. We didn't try it, next time we will. Our overall experience with Orchard Hotel was an A plus. We will recommend to our family and friends to stay there when they visit Singapore. We like Singapore. It is so clean and quiet and feels so safe to travel around and very similar to our experience at Orchard Hotel. SEE YOU NEXT TIME IN ORCHARD HOTEL. All the best to all of you guys. simple hotel. despite the fact that it is located just 10mins by walk from orchard area where is the heart of singapore, it is in quiet and greenly residential area. the premise is maintained well and neatly. the room is large enough, but bed may be a bit small if you are taller. the facility is pretty simple. there are restaurant and cafe on the 1st floor and shop is on the ground floor where you can buy some light snacks and drinks. souvenir shop and english book shop is also equipped with the small shop. auditorium is also quipped. the premise has been built as english training centre as well, therefore it also has some technical training or study rooms with exercise room. nursery is on 8th floor, too, where seems to be membership ones. the receptionist are diligent, polite and kind with warm heart. if you prefer simple hotel, or it's enough to get a bed simply, the hotel is good and enough.

My second time staying in Novotel. New hotel, near Orchard road, but away from the bustling of Orchard crowd. A few not so positive things to note : 1. I didn’t not request for an extra bed, but when I got to my room, there was an extra bed inside. I had booked the room for one pax only. 2. For a relatively new hotel, the drainage system is not very well maintained, shower room floods every time i used it 3. Lacking basic toiletries in shower cap, soap dish. 4. Aircon system of Food Exchange not maintained. Water dripping from ceiling, and heavy water marks can be seen around the aircon vent. 5. The hotel could have provided more information on shuttle bus service from T Galleria back to hotel, give the location of the pick up point at T Galleria. Other than that, it’s a cosy place, friendly staff, clean environment.

We spent 4 nights from 19 Dec to 23 Dec 2017 at Shangrila Apartments, with 3 adults, and 4 years & 7 years kids. We booked apartment with 1 bedroom & extra bed. Location wise is very quiet and is within 13 minutes walking to Lucky Plaza. Small private buses are available to drive you to Orchards shopping centre area, with scheduled timetable, though. The staffs are professional, very responsive & have very good attitudes. Room is clean and have all standard apartment utilities, although the microwave is quite old (using old technology that is not as easy to use compared to the modern one). Booking with Agoda is very easy and the coordination with Shangrila Aprtments is two thumbs up. Overall, it is good value for the money with expected Shangrila standards. Ofcourse, We will come again.

My kid n I late check-in at evening. Room was ready. 2 older male staffs were at the counter. For those people who said the staffs are rude pls touch your heart & ask yourself. I mean things goes both ways. If you are friendly & courteous you get the same treatment back. Dont be yaya papaya & expect that you are some big shot checking in. The hotel uses the older c/in method with paper files & stuffs. So be patient & wait. It may seems slow. Dosent kill you to wait a few mere minutes right?! There are 2 lifts. Older versions tiny lifts that is really cute if you ask me. My kid was in awe seeing such a lift in his lifetime. When we entered the room, it was clean & neat. Towels & Blankets & Bedsheets are Not Rags as other reviews claimed to be. Aircon & Mini fridge is working great. Hot Cold Shower is good too. AND THEY DO PROVIDE 2 SHOWER CAPS & 2 SETS OF TOOTHBRUSH WITH TOOTHPASTE. I dont understand why people claim there isnt any. But I have just a tiny wish that the main room light could be alittle brighter. Location is almost the best you can get for $100 a night in Orchard Road. Breakfast is Toast, Juice & Coffee. If you have travelled far & wide you should know it is as good as it can get. Some hotels such as H81 or similar don't even serve you any breakfast with almost the same price at some other areas. At least it does save you a meal per day & get you on your way. I feel they are rather like a hostel & i am happy with my stay. Would give it a full 3 stars for a 3 star hotel.

Holiday Inn Express is definitely the best hotel to stay in Singapore City Centre. The location is excellent with a reasonable price. Compare to the surronding Hotels, this Hotel offers a better price. The staff is very friendy and helpful. The free breakfast for all guest is a big help. It makes life easier since we do not have to find an open resturant for breakfast. We can just start the day with a full stomach.

It was my first time travelling out of country so I made sure I'd get the best hotel with cheaper price, and so I decided to book with Agoda. Checking in was fast. I spent not longer than 5 minutes and we were good to go in to our room. Check in should be at 2pm but we were made to check in an hour earlier since the room was ready when we got there. The hotel us quite far from famous tourist attractions but there is a bus stop just across the hotel in front of Raffles Girls School. Also, you can take taxi just in front of the hotel entrance, or take a Grab ride. Rooms were quite small but really clean. If you are a tourist and you spend most of your time outside, you wouldn't really mind the room size. I had a great time staying there. If I go back to Singapore, I would choose to stay here again.

Though it was only a 1 night stay, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. When I reached the reception, there was no staff available to me immediately but they kept advising me to take my seat while assuring that they will attend to me shortly and true enough, it wasn't a long wait. Upon check in, I was personally shown to my room by the same receptionist and introduced to all the different functionalities of the gadgets within the room as well as an overall introduction of the swimming pool/gym facilities and its opening hours etc. During my booking, I had informed them that it was my anniversary and that I would like to request for early check in to decorate the room before my partner comes. They tried their best with the request and I was granted an early check in! Knowing that I was going to be driving in and out to execute the surprise, she provided me with spare parking coupons so I would not have to keep going back to reception to ask for it. Also, our room was decorated with a pair of love swan towels and a complimentary cake in courtesy of HFC for our anniversary. After the introduction, the staff even reminded me of the complimentary evening drinks that came together with my booking and where it was taking place. On the day of checkout, I tried my luck to see if I could get a late checkout so we could spend more time there. Again, my request was granted. Overall I must say I'm really satisfied with the sincerity and hospitality of all the hotel staff there. They are a fine example of excellent customer service and I will definitely come back for another stay. I also love the colonial touch of the building amidst all that greenery and I specially love the scent at the hotel lobby. If possible, I hope to know the concoction of that scent. Thank you HFC for making my anniversary such a perfect and memorable one. I will be back again!

I have always stayed here when coming to Singapore. Singapore Marriott Hotel is the best and my most favourite hotel to stay when coming to Singapore, highly recommended especially if you are a shoppaholic. It is located exactly at the centre of the great Orchard Road which everyone knows is a shopping heaven for all shoppers. Around the hotel, there are several big shopping malls like the ION Orchard, Wisma Atria, Takashimaya, Shaw Centre, Wheelock Place, Far East Plaza, Tangs Plaza, Lucky Plaza, Paragon, and some other smaller shops scattered around the Orchard Road and all of them are only minutes of walking distance from the hotel. It is always be my first choice of hotel when coming to Singapore.

I booked and stayed in this hotel on the advice of another business colleague in Feb 10. Quite simply this is the best hotel I have stayed in to date. The staffs’ are very friendly and helpful, with the business centre being very accommodating for what I had to do. The line restaurant for breakfast is marvellous, the standard and quality of service was second to none. The hotel room was spacious and well equipped and overlooked the pool. The pool and surroundings are excellent and have a very tranquil feel about it, the pool staff attentive and helpful. The hotel is situated on Orange Grove Rd and not therefore as conveniently located as some other hotels but, this means that the hotel is away from the frenetic activity and noise of Singapore's Orchard Rd making it a relaxing and charming place to stay. I was so impressed with my stay I cancelled my reservation at another hotel in Bangkok the following week to stay at their sister hotel there.

for our final night in singapore, at the end of a two-year stay, my wife and i decided to stay at the hilton, largely for its central location. we knew the hotel well, having been frequent visitors to the lounge for a late afternoon coffee (recommended), usually accompanied by a little something from the dessert area, and the live music. our room, on the 10th floor, overlooked the bright lights of orchard road, was bright, modern and spacious, and ironing board, robes and slippers were provided. the full breakfast included in our room rate offered a reasonable choice, including options for guests who prefer chinese, indian and malay-style food. one of the features of our stay that particularly imnpressed us, however, was the service. our request for a later checkout (normally 12.00) was readily granted, and the reception staff generally were models of prompt, courteous service and advice; we were given access to the fitness centre to change later in the day; and the staff handling our luggage were patience personified. all in all, a good experience.

Overall it was an awesome experience. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, bathroom was big and cosy, bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is located really close to Orchard Road, a good 20-minutes leisurely stroll or about 2-3 bus stops away. It was not cheap, but it is worth every single cent we paid for. The brunch at Le Brezza was very good too, they have really nice and fresh seafood, best oysters we ever had. On the downside, we found the spread for the evening cocktail very limited. And I craved for ice cream and called the personal butler to find out what flavor ice creams they had, however, they couldn't tell me and I was only told 'seasonal flavors'. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me from going back to St.Regis again. We were very satisfied with our stay overall. Oh, not to forget, they upgraded us to a better room and arranged for late check-out without us asking for it even. Great value-added service! Two thumbs-up! Highly recommended.

We are locals and decided to take a 3 night getaway, attending a wedding dinner at the hotel on the 2nd night. We drove in on a Friday 30th Sept 2011 and checked out on Monday 3rd Oct - no problem getting complimentary parking coupons from the Concierge. Our request for a non-smoking quiet room on a higher floor was granted without fuss (1018). The room was decorated with warm colours and toiletries were "L'Occitane" products. This package came with an upgrade to the Deluxe room. We were very comfortable relaxing in the room which came with a study table and large screen TV, good supply of tea bags. A big bonus was the free internet service with came with the package. Bed was great for sleeping - nice big pillows. Its a good idea to give Housekeeping a call to make up the room when you go for breakfast. They attended to that efficiently. One thing that stood out for us at the Regent was the friendliness of the staff. A far cry from a 6 Star hotel down the road which is often cold and impersonal. So the smiles and pleasant service at The Regent truly made us very welcome. - The efficiency of the breakfast staff in clearing the plates on our table was very good. Staff Lin Chang stood out in this area - very sharp and quick. The breakfast spread served the best French Toast we have ever tasted (but it rotates with waffles & pancake on diff days - the french toast was served on Sat). Unfortunately our request for the French Toast the next day could not be met. Also the baked bacon (tad salty but tender) and honey ham was very nicely done. They served japanese rice & miso soup - but it was rather strange and didnt make sense for many of the condiments and pickles to be placed at another station near the fruits. Most of us wouldnt know there were other condiments for the rice. The Regent has managed to create a warm and welcoming ambience for us - most refreshing compared to many other hotels here. Most definitely recommend this hotel.

My boyfriend and I had a relaxing stay at Lloyd's Inn for 1 night. The hotel was near many big shopping centres and eating places (there's a 24-hour Indian cafe/restaurant on the same street), yet is quiet enough for us to enjoy some private time. We love the outdoor bathtub the most, it was the highlight of our stay. We were lucky to get the skyroom on Agoda, because it was stated as sold out on the hotel's page. We had a peek into the Reading room on our way to our room, and it seemed pretty small though sufficient enough for a party of 2. So, we made the best out of the room we got - that means spending lots of time outside in the tub. The staff was friendly and most of them are locals, from the receptionist to the cleaning aunties. :) Few gripes we had was there wasn't a flask in the room (my boyfriend searched the drawers), and there was only a curtain to separate the outdoor area and the toilet. A sliding door would have been nice. When it rained at night, it was quite loud and gave me quite a good scare - but thats just me. Other than that, we also thought the price was tad steep for 1 night even though it was a promotional price, as the pool was not big enough for swimming and there was no cafe in the hotel (but to be fair they gave us breakfast vouchers). Other than that - pretty lovely place for local/overseas guests. One tip is to be sure to book a room that you would enjoy - for us it was the outdoor tub for it meant we could bask in the sun in our own backyard.

Our stay was such a great experience, we arrived early in singapore at 6am and our room was ready for us!! along with offering breakfast for that morning. I would like to make a special mention to Joo (i think it was) she showed us around the room and the building and was happy to help with absolutley anything. The location is absolutely perfect right near ION (the major shopping centre) as well as shopping on scotts and orchard road and extremely close to the MRT. The buffet breakfast was good but having the option to dine at the sister hotel royal plaza on scotts at their buffet was better as they had a much bigger range. I cant rave about the staff enough they helped me with printing off documents, booking more luggage and arranging flowers for my boyfriend to give me on a certain day. I cant recommend this serviced residences enough, it made our holiday all more enjoyable, i will definitely be returning. Thankyou 8 on claymore!!

How many 3 star hotels offer bedroom slippers, hair dryer, a fridge, a safe, and bathroom fittings reminiscent of a 4 or 5 star hotel? My only complaint was the noise from the water outlet in the bathroom. It's about a 400 metres walk on level ground from the train station and the bus stop is just outside the hotel. They have a shuttle to Orchard Road, the Botanic Gardens and also to the train station if one has a lot of luggage. The staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful; especially Mona!

The Fort Canning Lodge is a relatively cheap (for Singapore) three star hotel, which is one of the two budget hotels I may stay at transiting Singapore 7-8 time annually as academic. Have been staying there off and on since the late 1990s. Basically a family hotel rather than a business hotel. Location is just around the corner from Plaza Singapura, and not far from the Clarke and Boat Quays. Just across the street from Fort Canning, best park in Singapore. Laundromat in the basement. Breakfast is okay but not great, so I would normally just book the room alone and go to McDonald's nearby for breakfast. Would recommend it for anyone on a budget. Great value for Singapore purposes.
