"Stayed for 1 night in an 8-bedded dorm. Great location, very accessible to transportation, food, convenience stores & attractions. The dorm was spacious & I liked the layout. There are lockers with combination locks, small but still good enough. The bunks have curtains & each bunk comes with an electrical socket & light. Plus, there are 2 bathrooms in the dorm itself & 2 more outside. There were also 2 dispensers of soap & shampoo. Although it's a pretty old building, don't worry about lugging your stuff up stairs because they have a lift. Access to water, coffee & tea is 24 hours. Their reception is also 24 hours. Luggage storage is free. If you arrive early & need to freshen up, you can. Towels are provided. They have ample common areas - comfy lounge area at the reception, there was a sofa & fridge on the floor where I'd stayed & the have an outdoor rooftop terrace. Overall, very clean. And, the best part is the staff - every single one of them that I'd met was friendly & helpful."

"I checked into Arenaa Star on the 21st October and stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very pleasant stay. First and foremost after putting down my luggage, I ventured to the hotel's open air restaurant located on the Mezzanine floor. The seafood olio oglio I ordered was good. I also tried grilled chicken and lamb chop on subsequent days and they are all ridiculously cheap yet extremely tasty. Wow! The friendly and courteous staffs made the ambience all the more better. When it comes to the accomodation, I must say that it has the coziest bed and pillows for you to rest after a long walk tour around KL which you can easiy access via the LRT and is just a walking distance from Chinatown. Not to mention the big and modern bathroom, flat wide screen tv and various themes that represents each floor. For example the 1st Floor represents the Malaysian stars thus you will see the portraits of the local entertainers painted on the wall along the hallways to every hotel room. Not to mention the Hollywood, Bollywood, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Korea etc. You might have a pleasant surprise to see that one of them happens to be your favourite! So in conclusion, Arenaa Stars lives up to its name and is very recommendable for the budget value and comfort. "

"I usually don't like youth hostels, but I appreciated my week at Space Hotel. Staff is friendly and sort problems quickly, rooms are really quiet, the capsule concept is really nice, you can keep your intimacy for pretty cheap, you have USB ports, you can plug your laptop, you have light, a mirror, you even have a flat screen TV with headphone and a safe but you won't feel suffocating, you have enough space to sit and move in the capsule. You won't have to be waiting for the bathroom either. You can smoke a cigarette or bring your lunch to the terrasse, sit on the couch in the lobby and watch TV if you want. Location is pretty good too, in China Town, near to everything, mini markets, walking streets, restaurants. Thumbs up."

"I think it's quite a new hotel, run by Tamil staff. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideally situated close to LRT Pasar Seni, Central Market, Kasturi Walk, Jalan Petaling, etc. Not much character, but excellent value, clean, quiet and everything one needs. Great views over the city from window - National Mosque, etc. We booked 3 hotels in Malaysia on this trip, and Lavana was the best (the friendliest and and also the cheapest by a long way). One problem with all hotels was the snail-like Wifi, ironic as there are signs everywhere reading that Malaysia is getting up to speed, 500 Mbps - well, they have a long way to go, and that's compared to Lombok, where I live."

"It was awesome. We had a very relaxing stay. The hotel is clean and very near to all public transportation (trains, buses terminal, taxi). Staff were very helpful in pointing out directions.Hotel staff can communicate well in English not to mention Sylvester one of their staff can even communicate in our language (Filipino) and I heard him also communicate in Chinese though he's Malaysian. He's very helpful in giving directions and very warm to hotel guest. The hotel is also a few steps away from Petaling market and central market. Also Merdeka square, Sultan Abdul Samad and KL Gallery is just around the area more or less 20 minutes walk. The Chinese temple and Hindu temple is a few steps from the hotel too. We never had hard time in going around even going to the shopping areas, there's a free bus just beside the hotel going around Bukit Bintang where big malls are and of course where the iconic Petronas tower is located. The only downside is that the internet is very weak. I hope the management can do something about it because personally as a tourist the best way to stay connected back home is using the internet service. Nonetheless, the hotel is really good and I will definitely recommend to everyone who would like to explore KL without hassle. I precisely stay here again on my next visit."
